re that last poll about where on the matthew tkachuk fan/actual panthers fan spectrum do you fall. there are people in the notes being like "these results tell you all you need to know about hockey tumblr" in a way that feels unfortunately derogatory so i am here to tell you as a lifelong sports fan that it is totally normal and fine to a) be a fan of a player, especially a very high-profile one, even tho you don't follow their team closely and/or b) root for a team just because your special little guy is on it. there are so many hockey men and teams and only so many hours in the day. it's fine to put your emotional sports investment wherever you want. the nhl WISHES you would tune into more games because just one dude intrigues you. sure it can be a little annoying to fans who are invested in the whole team sometimes but that's life baby.
