Ok so. I'm memorizing literary devices to better my media analysis and if i got this right the difference between allegory and allusion is that allegory is integrated as a larger, constant part of the overall narrative while allusion is more contained version, generally restricted to certain parts and/or as a piece for the allegory.......right?

Its like motif vs themes. Right? The allusion is the brick used to build the wall called allegory like how themes do that with motif

#🪐.txt #this might be dumb but although middle school 'taught' me abt this stuff it was only telling us the meaning in one class and thats it #there was never a proper writing exercise nor did they ever gave us a book to analyze things using literary devices #like at most the few times we read we were told to write our interpretation but thats it? also in this year i got not very good language #teachers so yeah :/#i mean. better to learn those necessary stuff by myself now than later!#also although i really. really like literature i despise how school teaches it. it makes it feel something unbearable and extremely hard to #understand #anyways my english isn't helping either! i tried to search the difference between allegory vs allusion but there was barely nothing in #portuguese huh? so yeah it is me and english as my second language against complicated explanations of concepts with words that im not #really familiar with. neat!
