another thing I've noticed with this new antidepressant is that social situations aren't terrifying anymore. they're still difficult, I still don't know how to act and what to say, but that doesn't feel awful anymore. it's uncomfortable but not unbearable like it used to be.

#we saw my brother and his family yesterday. and today my niece was here #and it was alright #I wasn't completely exhausted afterwards either #I was able to say things without immediately feeling like I'm the worst person in the world #it's so fucking freeing #and really.. it feels good to know it wasn't me not trying hard enough #I don't care what studies say about the way antidepressants work or don't work. there IS something wrong with the way my brain works. and #this medication helps. there's no doubt about it. I don't know if it'll help permanently. but right now it does.#and I don't care about anything else tbh.#(just watched a documentary that was basically called 'do antidepressants work for?' or sth and all the opinions were way too extreme on #both sides so I'm pissed off about that rn.)#(because I can finally fucking LIVE and I won't let those assholes tell me that therapy or 'doing things that are good for you' would have #done that. I fucking TRIED so hard.)#personal #*do antidepressants help anyone. or something like that
