Victor loves Logan more than the X-Men ever could.
The X-Men love Logan because of what he does for them.
For the older ones, his teammates, he's still a weapon. Does the hard and dirty work the others are too noble or weak for. He's a meat shield at best, built for carving through front lines and taking the brunt of the action. At worst, he's the exact snarling beast he violently rejected when Victor told him it was what they he was, just directed at a different enemy. Foes that have been officially deemed Bad Enough to Die, so he can justify it to himself, avoiding the guilt and pain he still carries for being nothing more than an animal with blood-stained claws.
For the younger generation, he protects them. Wandering around adopting so many scared little kids, bringing them to the mansion and teaching them to... what? Be heroes. More accurately, soldiers. They sacrifice their abilities and individual identity, in exchange for a codename, spandex tights and a pledge to fight for Xavier's dream. He's a military recruiter, once again justifying the cycle by telling himself it's for the greater good. For the mutant dream! He's still a weapon, but on the side of good. He's a hero, as long as he behaves. As long as he doesn't get too dark, too angry, too violent. He's a hero now. Right?
But Victor? Victor loves Logan simply for everything is already is. For what he's made of, forged from the same slate of bloodlust and pure instinct that he is. Victor doesn't care what Logan wants to do, he just wants him to be free. Free from expectation, free from the burden of performative humanity, free from the judgement of people who will never understand the pure hunger that pumps through them. To be himself, raw and unrestricted. Two wild beasts fighting and hunting side by side, for the eternity they've both been cursed with. Together.

So the tweets in the original post were, granted, being flippant about it, "i can't date women cuz we're too emotional" (etc.) which... yeah thats a fucking dick move and pretty misogynist to just... put out there like that if it's in all seriousness.
BUT.
Even so, some of the responses to it were... disheartening.
As of yet, I've never been able to fall in love with a girl. I don't know if I ever will. There's just something about me that... clicks, better with guys. I feel more comfortable with them, and it's easier for me to open up. At the end of the day, the partner I settle down with? Based on that pattern, it... probably will be a guy.
That doesn't mean I'm not still bisexual.
I'm not closing myself off the possibility I'll fall in love with a girl, but even if that never happens I'm still sexually attracted to women. I still enjoy flirting with woman. I still love holding and kissing and being intimate with women. I still love going on dates and being romantic/doing romantic things with women.
I AM NOT LESS BISEXUAL JUST BECAUSE ITS HARDER TO SEE MYSELF IN A COMMITTED RELATIONSHIP WITH A WOMAN.
Anymore so than a bisexual who doesn't want a committed relationship AT ALL would be!!!
Or a straight dude sleeping around the sororities suddenly isn't straight because he doesn't want a monogamous partnership yet??? And maybe never will??
"But I don't want to date somebody whos not looking for a committed relationship" OKAY THEN, DONT! Soooo many people are A-OKAY with "hey I'm just looking to keep things casual" "sorry, I'm looking for something more" "oh that's cool!” like? Just taaaalllkk to your prospective partner!!!
Like... like okay SERIOUSLY y'all... why is loving men a little more seen as such a downgrade? Why is being more emotionally comfortable with men and more open to committed partnership with them looked down on so much??
Bisexuality ISN'T necessarily an even 50/50 split, anymore than GENDER is!!! And yet!! People always want to shit on us for not Doing It Correctly.
And sometimes!!! IT IS!!? JUST ABOUT SEX!!!! AND THAT'S???? FINE???? HOW IS THAT "INVALIDATED???" It's the kind of sex they like!!!! That's their sexuality!!! That's literally their sexuality!!! There's a romantic component sometimes that can be the same or different!?? But at the end of the day???
HOMOPHOBES STILL WANT US FUCKING DEAD WHEN THEY SEE US KISSING. THEY DONT STOP AND FUCKING ASK IF WE'RE IN LOVE. THAT IS NOT "IMAGINED OPPRESION."
