This isn't how you multiclass AU
Concepts for the Ashton side of the Shard Fusion AU.
(Top left is Chetney, bottom left is Laudna, top right is Imogen and bottom right is Orym)
Overview of each fusion below the cut:
Firstly, this is an AU where the elemental shards give Ashton and Fearne the ability to fuse with other characters, like the gems in Steven Universe. You don't need to know anything about Steven Universe, other than that.
I leant more towards what I thought would be cool and what the characters seem to prefer, so a fusion having more limbs/eyes doesn't have to reflect how close the individual characters are. ALSO this isn't a commentary on ships, I just wanted to mash my favourite guys together to make a bigger guy and Bells Hells have already been absorbing powers, mindmelding etc... I think they would use fusion if they could. (the elemental shards just make it a little bit more believable in-universe)
Ashton + Chetney: Jet (because wood) Chaos bonus - Time
This is a pretty unstable pair, and between Ashton's rage and Chetney's werewolf bloodlust I think they are likely to feed into each other's violence. Amazing in a fight though. I didn't put much detail into the weapons here but I was going for a red pickaxe/scythe type weapon as that was what Chet and Ashton were sharing from Eshteross.
Characterwise, Jet is bolshy and in-your-face and kind of a jerk. Definitely takes the loudest parts of Chetney and Ashton. I also think Jet would have loads of tattoos, but I only thought of that writing this now, which is why they aren't in the drawing.
Ashton + Laudna: Unnamed? Chaos bonus - Potential
Laudna and Ashton have a lot in common but I think between Delilah's presence and Ashton's appreciation of Laudna's darker aspects (loving her form of dread etc) I think they would be way more creature than person. They also only form under extreme circumstances.
(sidenote, I think Fearne and Ashton can bring someone back to consciousness with fusion, like in SU)
They're both so protective, no matter how much it damages themselves. They've got guard dog energy. As much as I considered a sickly, victorian porcelain doll-punk fusion, I couldn't resist a bone-spider-ankylosaurus.
Ashton + Imogen: Fulgurite (lightning glass) Chaos bonus - Gravity
Fulgurite is the most stable, person-like fusion here partly because Ashton and Imogen have so much in common. I'm not sure how clear it is but the body is supposed to be translucent glass and the hair is supposed to be have fibre-optic/anemone vibes. This was also the fusion I started with when I first thought of this AU.
Fulgurite leans hard into the superhero look, flies around effortlessly, gravitates enemies off their feet before electrocuting them. They are also about 95% abandonment issues. They aren't a permanent being! They're only here for a short while but they need to know that you loved them while they were alive, as them, and not just because they're a composite of people you care about.
(obviously a lot of bells hells have a background with abandonment but Imogen and Ashton together... it's a big deal to them in the present which means it's a big deal to their fused state)
Ashton + Orym: Unnamed? (Marble statue) Chaos bonus: Space
I've tried to fit the chaos bonuses to how I think these fusions would fight (speed for Chetney, dreadful misfortune for Laudna's bane/silvery barbs, gravity for Imogen's flight and alien connections) so while Orym could be speed (and this fusion is fast) I thought portals and wormholes would be more fun for a four-armed, two-faced warrior.
Naturally they have eyes on the back of their head, because of Orym's perception. I see this fusion as serious, focused and stubborn to a fault; but a real team player. (Also going for a guardian statue sort of a thing, as Orym and Ashton are the tanks)
-
I'm planning on doing these for Fearne's side, and maybe elaborate on how the personality aspects of the pairs show through their fusions. I'm not brilliant at analysis but I've read some excellent meta that has shaped how I think BH's character dynamics would impact this AU.
If you have any thoughts I would love to hear them!
#bells hells#critical role#ashton greymoore#'bh need some time to bond' i say as i forcibly mash them into a single entity#I had plans for FCG too but oh well#(imagine FRIDA but if aeor built them for roller derby and you get the idea)#this isn't how you multiclass AU#fusion AU

Character Info for the WoW x Ninjago AU!!!
Cole: Half-Human Half-Dwarf. (Yes it's because Dwarves... Earth...and also because of Magni, and me comparing DR!Cole to Magni Every time I turn around) Lou is human, Lilly is a Dwarf (Aaaand maybe a bit more than that) He is a Shaman, joined the Earthen Ring pretty young, since they realized "Oh hey this is Lilly's son!" Therazane took one look at him after Lilly died and said "Yep, gotta watch this one." (The Elemental Lords are A Tiny Bit Different in this AU, but not too different.) Sent by Therazane back up to Azeroth (He found his way into Deepholm when he ran away from home.) to train under Wu. Cole also has a Earth Elemental that just pops up whenever it wants to. Mostly just keeps an eye on him and makes sure he's alive. Said Earth Elemental normally hangs around Lou, as Therazane doesn't believe he can protect himself. He is 15 in the beginning of this story, and The Oldest (TM) until he isn't.
Kai: Kultiran Human Fire Mage/Warrior Multiclass A Blacksmith, up until the day his sister was taken by a roaming band of Scourge *A squad that is detatched from the others, and operates under Different Orders, not controlled by the Lich King* on the command of Garmadon, the Earth Warder. After this, he becomes desperate to get Nya back, which Ragnaros takes advantage of. Ragnaros, knowing that Kai may not respond positively seeing a fire elemental just showing up randomly, sends a bounty hunter after him, with strict instructions, in which 'don't let him know what you are, and don't hurt him, I NEED him.' the Bounty Hunter was unprepared for Kai trying to attack him on sight. When Kai arrives in the Firelands, extremely confused, yet mostly unharmed, Ragnaros spins a tale against Neptulon, as he knows that he is the one who has his sister, Nya. Ragnaros also hangs information about their parents over Kai's head, and how they betrayed Azeroth, leading to Kai's Early resentment over the two. He is soon sent to Wu, he is sent to Wu because Ragnaros knows he will not harm him, and he wants Kai to become more powerful- and Wudormu can do just that. He is 14 in the beginning.
Jay: A Human boy who lived peacefully in the Sea of Sand *Also known as Tanaris* with his parents until Al'Akir noticed his presence. Al'Akir took great interest in his blooming connection with lightning. Jay is a Shaman/Monk/Rogue Multiclass *The only Shaman move he really has is Lightning itself, and he uses it in the other two classes moves.* When Al'Akir noticed that Jay wasn't really willing to just up and leave his parents alone in the middle of the desert. He wasn't really worried about their safety, per say, as he knew from a young age that the Bronze were keeping an eye on them from their home that was east of them, he was just content on staying with his parents. Seeing this, Al'Akir sent his minions to kidnap Ed and Edna, trapping them in Uldum. With Jay willing to do anything to make sure his parents are safe, he agrees to do whatever Al'Akir wants him to do. He sends him to Wu as a spy, much like Kai, as he knows he is gathering the other elemental champions. He doesn't want to mess up and get his parents killed, so he's a LOT more standoffish and awkward in the beginning than in canon (dont worry though the Real Jay will shine in soon!) He is the youngest of the four, being 13 when the story begins.
Zane: He is a ????????? Neptulon wasn't very sure what he was when he found Zane. Zane is a Frost Mage/Rogue Multiclass. Neptulon could sense he had a great ice power within him, and he looked *Very* Human, but something was off with him, like someone was hiding something- from everyone including Zane. Zane was wandering around in Northrend, helping protect villages from the scourge. One day, the Lich King himself *Not Arthas in this AU* shows up in a battle- and Zane, worried that he will attack the civilans, goes after him alone. Now of course he couldn't take him on, especially by himself. He ends up getting thrown off a cliff into the ocean. A Water Elemental finds Zane, who is very hurt, though confused on why he had not drowned yet. When he wakes up, he is in Vash'jr, in Neptulon's domain. After he recovers, Neptulon gives him a choice on whether to go back to Northrend, or to follow him. Zane, feeling a strange connection to the elementals decides to stay. He makes quick friends with Nya as well. He is sent to Wu for training, and is 14(????) when the story begins.
Nya: When the Scourge kidnapped her, she was quickly rescued by a few water elementals. Thankfully, the Scourge group weren't trained very well and took no time to run off. Nya is a Frost Mage/Warrior Multiclass. She follows the elementals back to Vash'jr, wanting to learn more about Why she was kidnapped, and why they saved her. Neptulon decides to train her against naga and teaches her more about controlling water straight away, though since it requires her to Go With The Flow, she tends to stick with being a Samarai of sorts. She is sent to Wu, but does not make it there at first. She finds a thread on Garmadon and the Scourge and she takes off to learn Why she was taken. Neptulon allowed her to find her own way, knowing it will take her back to Wu anyway. She is 13 in the start.

10 Characters/10 Fandoms/10 Tags
Tagged by @icehearts
Tagging, but don't feel pressured! (Also you do not have to make pretty pictures. Graphic Designer brain just took over and this happened.) @physicalvocalist, @sarenraegalpaladin, @vorpalbun, @captainqster, @leagor-majere, @sundered-souls, @ardberts, @hinganskies, @lilbittymonster, @janzoo
1. Harrowhark Nonagesimus - The Locked Tomb Trilogy
Harrow has true scrungly wet cat energy. I want to put her in one of those little backpacks with a window and carry her around in it for her enrichment. She's an absolute bitch. She is a pathetic little meow meow. She lobotomized herself to save the soul of the woman she refuses to admit she's in love with. She tried to kill a saint with soup made from her own bone marrow. She is a war crime. I like her so much!
2. Magneto - X-Men
He is the platonic ideal of my favorite trope, "Does all the wrong things for all the right reasons." Magneto has gone through the polar opposite of villain decay. The longer he exists, the longer the universe has to prove him increasingly correct on most things. All I can really say is, "Magneto was right."
3. Wei Wuxian - Mo Dao Zu Shi
Truly the most blorbo of all time. Are you also an ADHD burned out gifted and talented submissive brat with a praise kink? Boy howdy, do I have a character that you are going to imprint on like a baby goose! Wei Wuxian also has a hearty dose of, "Does all the wrong things for all the right reasons." Also like who multiclasses in wizard (specifically necromancer) and bard? This fucking guy apparently.
4. Hythlodaeus - Final Fantasy 14
I am so normal about Hythlodaeus, I made an entire AU around him. That is a reasonable thing to do about a character that you like a normal amount, right? The idealized lost love, trapped in amber, untouchable but also incorruptible by the sands of time that keep eroding the edges of your soul. And then they gave him lavender dead anime mom hair!
5. Varric Tethras - Dragon Age
I literally have a semi-viral post about how much this character has consumed my thoughts. Rule Number 1 of Dragon Age: Varric lies. He's a charming scoundrel. He's loyal to a fault. He knows everything worth knowing about Kirkwall. And he's a dirty fucking liar. The only reason Varric isn't romanceable in DA2 is that no other romantic interest would get any attention if Varric was on the table. I desire him carnally.
6. Temeraire - Temeraire
My most precious and smartest boy! I adore Temeraire so much. Swear to god, I did not read the Temeraire books before creating Orion as a character, but the parallels are so strong, you would think I had! He's a bookworm, a little awkward but full of opinions, and he has an unwavering moral compass. Temeraire will forever be one of my favorite dragon characters.
7. Jaina Solo - Star Wars Legends
I will never forget what Disney took from me. As a weird, nerdy girl who was also kind of a guy growing up, Jaina meant so much to me. She was an active participant in the stories she was in. She was an ace pilot, a skilled mechanic, and a Jedi to boot. She had her dad's sense of humor and her mom's moral certainty. I thought she was the coolest. Still do.
8. Ansur - Baldur's Gate 3
Ansur! My beloved! If you had told me that the character I would be most obsessed with from BG3 would be an undead bronze dragon who you don't even know about until the third act -- actually, no that checks out. He was so in love, and so loyal, and so bitter at Balduron for embracing his corruption! And that reveal! All the build-up, only to find his bones and then wham! the entire narrative of the Emperor gets turned on its head. I still get chills. Also, they were absolutely fucking.
9. Viktor - Arcane
Listen, as a disabled, obsessive nerd with too much to do and not enough time to do it all in, Viktor is my gender. I love just about everything about Arcane, but Viktor's storyline is my favorite part. I, for one, am very excited to watch his fall from grace and further corruption. I have already forgiven all of his atrocities. I do not care. He's babygirl.
10. Clark Kent - DC
You thought I was going to say Jason or Dick for a DC character didn't you? (Or even Roy!) Those would all have been very reasonable expectations. I am pretty obsessed with all of them. However, Clark Kent is a very special character to me, and yes I specifically am focusing on the Clark persona and not the Supes persona. Yeah, they are ultimately the same guy, but I much prefer Superman stories grounded in his Clark Kent identity. Superman is at his best when he is attached to the mundane world by things like his job, his family, and his love for Lois. (Lois/Clark is the ultimate het ship. I will not be taking questions on this. It just is.) Clark is essentially a demigod, and yet he chooses to spend his time loving people and living as one of them, and I think that's really fucking cool.

Thoughts on ds9 main cast as DnD classes
Sisko: Is it possible to be a warlock without being the initiating party? Actually scratch that, depending on how you interpret the whole thing with his mother and the prophets, he could be a sorcerer. I don't think he's a paladin because to me the defining feature of a paladin is the oath; Sisko is initally reluctant to being the Emissary and even tries to hand off the responsibility to someone else, partially out of genuine belief they might be better suited to the job. The fact that sorcerers don't chose their power is a defining characteristic, and not all sorcerers are from a bloodline. Some have a somewhat random awakening, like Sisko’s entering the wormhole. They don't learn new magic from books; they discover new abilities through the course of life, which reminds me of the episode with his visions.
Kira: Paladin. She becomes the person she is by dedicating herself to a cause wholly and completely, she never strays from it, and she's still devoted to it to this day, to the point where she gets chosen as a vessel for the prophets during the show down that wasn't. Alternatively: you could argue monk, and say her cloister was her terrorist cell, but I don't know it's as strong as the argument for paladin. That said, I am biased.
Dax: I struggled with her, not gonna lie. I feel like her massive jock energy is a known quantity, but she's also the science officer and clearly does a lot of research. I feel like you could most safely argue warlock- like I said for Sisko, sorcerers don't choose their path, and while joining could be similar to the outside influences in sorcerers, the process itself is a choice and ultimately similar to the mutually beneficial pacts warlocks carry out.
O'Brien: his face is next to the entry for "artificer". But if we were sticking to the core classes, I think his vibe is pretty close to those posts about Wizards as IT support technicians. You don't have to be a special guy to be a wizard, you just learn your trade.
Bashir: Sorcerer, but in a hypothetical DnD AU, not the usual way where your grandmother was a dragon fucker. More of in a horrible experiment way. However, he either intentionally multiclasses or pretends to be something else, and I think that's a ranger. From DnD beyond's single sentence summary: "(A ranger is) a warrior who combats threats on the edges of civilization". Now, the stuff in the rulebook isn't necessarily the best or only conceptualization of what a class is, but Julian does have that infamous line from the pilot. From a character analysis standpoint (though not an game mechanics one) you could argue disease is a favored enemy.
Worf: He's definitely a martial heavy class, not a primarily casting class. He doesn't fit as a barbarian at all, I don't think he's got a particular devotion that makes an oath for a paladin, and I don't believe he has a spiritual element to his character found with monks (admitting of course, that I'm not familiar with TNG). He does have the solitary style rangers are associated with in ds9, but not the nature association. You could argue that by serving in Starfleet, he, like Julian, is protecting a civilization from the outskirts as someone politically involved in the Klingon Empire. And even draw in his decision to live on the Defiant into this. You could also say he's a straightforward fighter.
Odo: I think you could make an argument for Odo as a paladin- his commitment to his idea of justice and fairness is very oath like, but I also find the read of paladins as cops kind of boring and not getting at the meat of what a paladin is. You could argue druid because of the shapeshifting and the idea of balance found in the class vs his idea of justice, but I feel like overall changelings focus more on a mastery over nature than being an extension of it, and that's pretty antithetical to druids when played as standard.
Quark: I do not think he is a rogue. To be fair, we see his failed schemes because those are the interesting ones, but Quark stans to my understanding like his middle aged fail babygirl vibe. I'm not sure what else he would be though... he's a decent negotiator and a good people person, so a high charisma class. That leads me towards bard, though Quark isn't much of an artist or speech maker.
Garak: hot take! Hot take alert from the known clown! Rogue/Paladin multiclass. Rogue is obvious- its a favorite for spy type characters. However- the third episode Garak is in, we learn about his sheer devotion to Cardassia, and how he classifies it as love. Paladins aren't the way they are because of religion (though that's often a big element), it's because of devotion. And that devotion can be deeply destructive. Plus- tell me, upon thinking about it, that afterimage isn't an oathbreaker level breakdown.

a very brief verse bio for all the verses.
01 // 616, main verse, canon divergent
this one has a post go find it. main verse/blog canon and how i write clint.
02 // Square Enix's Avengers Game
Pretty goes exactly as the game; and game verse Clint will also probably work for the Spidey Games, Guardians game, and Midnight Suns.
03 // Star Trek
this is set mainly in the AOS timeline, but i do know voyager and prodigy-ish. Throughout the timeline of the 3 movies; Clint is a pilot of the Enterprise on the beta or gamma shift. After Beyond, he is a security officer and eventually chief of security. ( this has a post)
04 // Wastelands
Old Man Hawkeye, Old Man Logan, Wastelanders. Verse setting that revolves around the various aus of Marvel's Waatelands.
05 // Old Man
Basically, older Clint maybe minus the wastelands or Old Man Clint from Wastelands yeetede into 616 like Old Man Logan does.
06 // Mass Effect
Clint is a human Spectre for the Citadel/Council. His ship is small crewed ship, intended for stealth, which he has named The Broken Arrow (he very much needs a new ship, hence the broken)
07 // Last of Us (or zombine in general)
Clint's a runner for the Fireflies, and then eventually he's a hunter/patrol man for a settlement. Strictly uses a bow.
08 // Dragon Age
He's an ex-templar; he got out of a criminal sentence by signing up to be a templar. He hated being a templar. Sucks how the Chantry makes all their templars lyrium addicted, isn't it. ha. ha.
09 // Pirate
Pretty straight forward. He's a pirate. My context for pirates is Black Sails, so this was a lot more serious toned.
10 // Cowboy
He's a cowboy. Duh. I'll figure this out later.
11 // Medical Drama (influenced by so many medical dramas i watch)
Clint is an ER Doctor. Yup. This man went to medical school. He likes the varied pace of ER. He's just trying to live his life man. Works way too much. Lives on coffee.
12 // Spy or Assassin
Figure this one out. What the fuck is he doing? Whose side? He works in Internal Affairs :) :) :) [that's a lie/cover made for him by Shield]
13 // Firefighter w/ 911 series influence (both)
Self explanatory. Really
14 // Baldur's Gate
Dex Fighter/Rogue multiclass (yup) // he's a Harper, possibly gonna be a tadpoled companion; he just works in fantasy settings. You know, bad/sad childhood, ran away to the circus, criminal who got into a lot of trouble (circus fault) and then he finds something/somewhere to redeem himself and use his skills for good; The Harpers.... and then if BG3, probably tadpoled and act 2, the harpers you meet are like oh shit that's where you went clint
#everything will get full bios later.#once again mental illness kicking my ass. i will try to write more another day.#[ about tag ]

i dont think ive seen any of ur pcs other than afhiri (who i adore) basically i am here to say if u want share pics and some facts abt ur other pcs!! :D
this is rue she is my durge and her playthrough got murdered by durge related bugs that i didnt wanna deal with and would rather wait for them to fix the cutscenes <3 also known as rue the impaler shes a wild magic sorcerer who got fed up of being one shot and became a tank with a barbarian multiclass <3 afhiri is a resist durge who i can explain best as those uncomfortable and uneasy to be around strange emo girls who stare into ur soul with lifeless eyes. shes pretty... but shes weird
my oc dru kind of got cannibalised by rue but still exists.. cuz dru's intended path literally doesn't work because i made her before i finished the game and the ending doesn't allow her to exist and it would have to be rewritten by me so much that i just don't have the energy so dru just lives in my lil au "what i wish the ending allowed" space in my brain <3 i'm not gonna share a picture because this also allows me to have her exist outside of the games limitations so no picture <3 she's so much cooler than the cc allows <3 dru is a high elf who is delusional and thinks shes actually a fey eladrin and is very uncomfortable to be around because shes just insane. completely isolated from society and the world and would have the hermit background if they didnt remove it .. larian literally didnt want her to exist.
unfortunately due to my pc death i no longer have asuras cc stuff so she will need to be remade but... this is asura shes literally terrible. shes my unfortunately extremely power hungry character who will accept every single option to make her stronger. she fucks mindflayers. and minthara. and she and minthara will rule the entire world together as tyrant wives and maybe they ascend. true love stuff. asura won't live until i'm confident minthara isn't a broken fucking mess . i think playing asura will make me worse. shes like how people play bhaalist durges who love their daddy but shes not the durge. shes just a bad person
THIS IS TAV. yeah his name is tav. they're just a tav man idk. this is my first character from full release tav is an ancients paladin whose entire vibe is "you don't quite suite your oath" and that's fun. they are the most lawful good boring ass motherfucker you ever met and literally my favourite type of character. he's all about Justice and Order and Goodness and Sacrificing Your Happiness For The Greater Good. that kind of annoying paladin! <3 tav never got to finish the game because my pc died and killed them. oh and tav has a twin who dedicated their life to annoying tav because .. like. lawful good paladin? DESERVES to be annoyed
which is really funny because the twin is my EA character! also tav! see the thing is. paladin tav is actually tav. but this monster? tav isn't their name. but they go by tav. just so they can hopefully fuck with their twins reputation. doing terrible things in their lawful good twins name!!! i still can't decide if i want twin tav to work with the guide and kiss nine-fingers keenne or work with the zhentharim and kiss rugan. or maybe they're a double agent and kiss both. idk!!! twin tav has literally no moral compass and just does shit for money mostly. and to make their twins life hell <3
and lastly i have this dude who doesn't have a place on my oc page because he doesn't have a name or nothing like. he's completely blank beyond i KNOW he's something to do with afhiri. so fun fact afhiri's lore was leading towards this dude being some sort of outer planes entity, either a god (dead star) or the herald of such, and baited afhiri through a portal as part of her destiny. this is how she gains her wild magic. BUT this was scrapped for what ended up happening (afhiri befriends a chwinga. cuteness ensues). HE STILL EXISTS IN AFHIRIS LORE SOMEWHERE - HE IS LITERALLY A COMPANION IN HER PARTY - when my pc stops crashing every time i play bg3 he's going to be on my blog a lot because im gonna use fancy editing to make him a companion and shove him in cutscenes. afhiri and he will kiss btw. i definitely don't want him to be actually a tiefling though this is just a form he uses to walk faerun and not to cause any ruckus... and to make afhiri feel ease around him <3 ALSO HES NOT ACTUALLY AFHIRIS GUARDIAN... u will see who is when my pc stops dying <3
#fray.txt#ask#imoge#i might put this in oc tags later i need to think on it but#i hope this is good#its also long#sorry#SLKJFSDFS#I HOPE I DIDNT MISS ANYTHING#I DO HAVE SOME VERY VERY WIP CHARACTERS I DONT FEEL COMFORTABLE SHARING YET BUT#hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii#thANK U FOR ASKING

Canvas, footwear, and alternate for the oc asks!
for this i'm gonna use my cyberpunk oc, mya <3 i made her for a cyberpunk red campaign that never happened and now she's just my generic cyberpunk blorbo from my brain
canvas: does your oc have any scars, piercings, tattoos, or other markings? do they display or cover them up at all?
all! of! the! above! she used to work for trauma team and has gotten mega injured on the job before, given that they're usually Heavily armed and do active combat! she also has surgery scars from various implants!! she's got many many ear and lip and nose piercings!! along with like. emp protective wiring threaded through her skin, which isn't a Scar but it's Something Distinctive. and a cybernetic arm!! she has a few tattoos but there mostly isn't room to add more around all of her emp threading, so any tattoos she has are from before and they're mostly pretty discreet. given that she is now A Fugitive That Used To Work For A Major Organization she keeps Everything covered, her body is so recognizable and she needs it to Not Be
footwear: what does your oc wear on their feet?
combat boots left over from her trauma team uniform! they're durable and she Cannot Afford To Buy More Right Now <3
alternate: what would your oc's alternate universe look be? if they're a fantasy character, what's their modern look? if they're sci-fi, what's their fantasy look? what au would you want to see your oc in, and how would they dress themself? bonus: prompt an au!
gonna consider her fantasy outfit in like. d&d equivalent terms. at this point she's basically multiclassing cleric And rogue And fighter maybe, which is crazy. so i think a Lot of the time she looks like fuckin. aragorn in lotr, lurking in the corner in a dark cloak trying not to be seen, but under it it's loose clothing with a couple choice pieces of leather armor and huge bandoliers of healing components and also Several Knives. instead of emp threading she probably has various arcane rune tattoos all over her body, which would look Cool As Fuck

re self indulgent AUs "#also god i have so many of them", do u have any d20/fh ones you can share? 👀
to be honest, most of them are naddpod! i did have a class-swap i was rotating a little bit (though to call it a class swap isn't exactly accurate, most people just got multi-classed with different subclasses. celestial warlock/phantom rogue riz and swarmkeeper ranger/creation bard fig you are real to me), and there is a howl's moving castle figayda au rotating in my brain at immense speeds especially after junior year
(for the class-swap, it was born from messing with their backstories. riz discovered his dad was an angel early because he became obsessed with trying to figure out how he died and how to bring him back. and celestial warlock and the ghostly flavor of phantom rogue is basically just pok. helping his son out from beyond the grave. able to help through a proper celestial contract because riz found out about the celestial task force stuff. swarmkeeper/creation bard fig was a weird one. her swarm was music/sound waves. her backstory wasn't that changed, except that instead of leaning into deception mechanically she turned her music into a weapon/destructive force. she starts out more swarmkeeper with only 2 bard levels and becomes creation after meeting the bad kids and realizing she does want her music to create things, not just destroy. i had Some thoughts for the other bad kids but it was mostly fig and riz bc they're my favorites. i think... god i never wrote these down. i think fabian was a sorcerer, kristen was a zealot barbarian (later reclassed into paladin), gorgug was a fighter who multiclassed into valor bard when he joined the sig figs, and adaine was... order cleric/war wizard i think? i did weird things to adaine in this. iirc once her parents realized she wasn't going to be like them they tried to turn her into a soldier.)
#ask#thank you for asking!!#i do engage with nadd + dim in very different ways#(using half the names so this doesn't show up in the tags)#and in the d. 20 case it's like....#i generally just vibe with what's going on in canon and hang out there lol

Given that the blorbo is Percy "hubris" de Rolo, how severely does he fuck up in age of arcanum au? Esp as Percy's someone who's iffy on magic - the arcane?
Oh, very severely - I covered it a bit in the first ask of yours I answered, but a lot of Percy's issues in the Age of Arcanum AU come down to a feeling of powerlessness. He isn't adept with magic - he might mechanically be an Artificer (or Artificer multiclass, but we'll get to that) in this AU, but regardless he's vastly outclassed in what he can do by the wizards and sorcerers and bards. He's just as intelligent as their very best, but it's hard to feel in control when mages can casually read your thoughts, wipe your memories, meter out longer lifespans to allies or just turn an enemy to dust immediately (all this was seen in Calamity! It's not far fetched!).
Part of why he leans into vengeance and guns in canon, I believe, beyond all the pain and anger, is just so much fear. With guns, he can't easily be hurt again. With guns, he can kill the monsters in his nightmares so he knows, for certain, they're not real anymore. Which... well, didn't work with Delilah, but it was a fair sporting try.
So Percy, ever the arrogant genius, finds other ways to feel in control of the situations he's in, carves his own field in which his lack of magical aptitude don't hold him back.
Percy is responsible for the invention of aeormatons. So he has directly created/captures/somehow acquired sentient, sapient souls... and put them in bodies to be servants, and assassins, and weapons, and otherwise spend their lives at the whims of their masters. He is responsible for them, as well as any lives the claim. I'm 99% sure he's the creator of FCG (Faithful Caregiver, Percy that's a fucking awful thing to name him given what you'll have this robbit do), and I'm unsure if he then makes FRIDA and their sort of that's Tary's work. Either way, that's just. really fucked up.
You know how Cerrit was just a rogue, in Calamity?? And could have easily made mincemeat of them? Mages, meet Gun. Not for long, but you can meet it before it blows your faces off. As the classic meme goes, Counterspell this, bitch. Perhaps he originally develops them to take out his family's killers, but it likely quickly becomes a paranoia thing. The Age of Arcanum is carefully balanced around politics and magic and ambition, and if guns get out that entire system gets thrown completely out of whack.
This one is more up in the air, but he's definitely done research on the gods, on ways of circumventing magic to get similar results. Partially to complete the aeormaton projects, but he needs some forms of insight that Vex will find valuable in her quest to save her brother.

Omg I love DnD and I love this concept 😍 Can you share any more details? Like have you settled on specific character classes for everyone yet? And have you already created some art for the story?
hiiiiiiiii thank you so much for the ask!!!! I love talking about this stupid concept that has been rotting in my head since 2021 😬💖 and oh well, this one is gonna be long but if you also have any ideas I would love to hear them 🥰💘💕💖💕
But okay, I lied because I have two concepts related to high fantasy ( I am so normal about this lol)
For the "main" project I went with Pathfinder 1e because it has so many classes to choose from, that I didn't have to rely on homebrew stuff (and because I had to learn how this system works and after 5 years I still don't get some of the stuff 😅), so I settled on:
Joel as a haunted spiritualist looking to get rid of his phantom (spellcaster with occult magic and a "pet" aka phantom)
Niko as an urban skald who pledged to retake his family's ancestral land (d&d's bard/barbarian multiclass, probably will change the backstory because it feels too meh).
Joonas as a flamesinger bard, he's just some lucky guy and nothing bad has happened to him (yet), other than some tasteless patrons disliking his music
Olli as a stargazer oracle searching for many answers in the stars (kiiiiinda like a cleric, but not devoted to any or to a single god)
Tommi as an aspect of the bear shifter whose druidic circle succumbed to corruption (melee shapeshifter, kinda like d&d's circle of the moon druid)
Aleksi as a universalist arcanist tasked with paying back a heavy family debt and no, it isn't related to money at all (d&d's sorcerer/wizard multiclass, he gets to summon a familiar and ofc it's Rilla 🥰)
If I go with that, I'm going to use Paizo's Pathfinder main campaign setting because I really don't want to come up with the worldbuilding lol (tbh that would imply creating a lot of everything from scratch, unless I actually go 100% insane and do it........)
The 2nd one is another fantasy AU where they are tieflings because who doesn't love tieflings???? I used d&d 5e and assigned one ability score to each of the boys:
Strength: Tommi as a Zariel bloodline tiefling, Path of the Totem Warrior (bear ofc) Barbarian (he strong)
Dexterity: Aleksi as a Mammon bloodline tiefling, Arcane Trickster Rogue (he's a rich little shit who loves to steal for fun)
Constitution: Joel as a Levistus bloodline tiefling, Blood Hunter from the Order of the Profane Soul with an Undead patron (I know it's mouthful but yeah.....)
Intellect: Olli as a Mephistopheles bloodline tiefling, Artillerist Artificier (and before anyone says oh but Olli is a dumbass, why intelligence? Listen. He's actually smart, but he's sooooo forgetful that not all his creations succeed...)
Wisdom: Niko as a Baalzebub bloodline tiefling, War Domain Cleric (originally I wanted to assign him the strenght attribute and Tommi would have the wisdom one, but I feel it works better this way. Niko seems to be a very wise dude IRL and not as physically strong as Tommi)
Charisma: Joonas as an Asmodeus bloodline tiefling, Wild Magic Sorcerer (I really really wanna homebrew a devil bloodline for this)
I haven't thought of any backstories or a storyline for this AU, I'm just vibing with the concept 😅 a lof of inspiration for the designs (that are in my mind ofc) comes from Pointy Hat's tiefling video, which please go watch if you haven't, it's an amazing channel.
I have a complicated relationship with art due to Not Having Enough Time And Skill. I tried to make some art back when I was choosing the horns and skin tones for tiefling!Olli, but I got frustrated and left it there to rot lol (+ i didn't like the style + took too much time)
For skin tones + eye color variation: red / purple / blue
Zoom of the two concepts I "finished" 😬 (smooth vs ribbed horns)
But yeah, that's mostly it! I wish I had more to show you, but I'm hoping to have enough time work on the tiefling!AU around December or early 2024😊
Again, thank you for enabling me to ramble about something I really really really love 🥺💕💖💘💖💕💖
#asks#smolpieceoftoast#any additions or questions or anything are obviously welcome 💖#how the fuck do i tag this#long post

1, 4, 25 for the munday meme!
1. What is your favorite trope to rp?
Pretty much anything hurt/comfort; a character who is practically a walking tragedy getting accepted and cared for by another character(s) who treat them so softly that they sort of break under it, a character who falls so far and hard getting met by someone who helps pick them up and gives them the support and comfort the need, or even just stuff like one character taking care of another when they are sick / injured.
I also love reincarnation as a trope not gonna lie. There was a post that floated around recently about AUs and ships in AUs and I believe the line was something along the lines of "their love is so strong that of course they would find and love each other in this universe as well"
A more specific one that I have started to think more about ever since I got into the Souls game is about the Chosen Undead / Good Hunter / Tarnished living through the cycle repeatedly (aka turning new game plus into a story function) and as they live through it, they forget what they knew upon the start of the new cycle but can get their memories back or have journals of notes so that they can keep hold of their information, and in the process they decide that they want to try and save even just one person. And while it's unlikely they get it immediately in the next cycle, they try over and over and over again throughout the cycles until they finally succeed.
(this totally isn't because my favorite npcs have a tendency of dying on me kfuxyhvdf)
I have more and I have even thought of making a post of all the tropes I would like to write so...I just might do that, cause otherwise this answer would be like, insanely long lol.
4. What old character would you love to bring back?
I don't really have old characters that I don't use in all honesty. Kayden is by far my oldest and has gone through so many different changes that I think I actually have two or more separate characters with the same name (that I won't be changing because I am stubborn). My oldest characters all tend to evolve into newer characters which also helps.
That being said, a character that I would like to bring back more in terms of RP would probably be some of my D&D characters; Hymn/Chime the tiefling rogue, Rhialla the aasimar cleric (who multiclasses too much), or Aneya Jir the aasimar bard. They're all characters I used to rp and still have available for rp, but they don't get much in the way of interactions.
25. One thing you’d like new roleplayers to know?
Be respectful of people portrayals and, when talking with them about plotting or character interactions, be respectful if they correct on how their character would act! Having your characters misinterpreted, especially to create a source of tension or conflict, is not necessarily a fun feeling (I've dealt with this recently actually). So, if someone corrects you how their characters acts or just what the character is like in general, take that with grace and keep it in mind going forward. The reverse is also true! If someone is misinterpreting / misunderstanding your character, don't be afraid to point out where that is happening and clarify for them so that they have a better understanding of your character.
Also be wary of people who drop all contact with you if you do point out how they are misinterpreting your character and offer clarification, especially if all of the interacts they wanted to have with your character be confrontational / aggressive due to the misinterpretation they had about your character.
