enough modern AUs where ragnar and lagertha fall for athelstan and get him to date them, I need comedy, I need Ragnar to be Aslaug's shitty pathetic boyfriend who keeps hooking up with his best friend (bc he's in love with him) and everytime she threatens to break up he pulls an different excuse ("I was drunk""it was the last time""I SWEAR this time is the last promise""it was just a bj") and Athelstan the poor guy feels all the guilt Ragnar should feel and wants to end this but gets the pants charmed out of him everytime, and he tells Lagertha "he said he was leaving her for me what do I do", and Lagertha is a good friend but she's also vengeful and Ragnar cheated on her with Aslaug when they were married, so she just tells Athelstan "lmao lol idk"
