#don't think many austrians are following me here but#well i watched a bit of austrian bundesliga as well today#and like dortmund is my club but the club i'm kinda supporting in austria is sturm graz#i mean i literally live in the city of graz now while studying so it's the obvious choice#well anyways they won so that's great#but our league is literally so weak tf π
#i mean i was hoping for a draw in the salzburg fak match as it would have been the best result for sturm graz#or i guess a win also would have been great bc i don't like rb salzburg#but how did they loose against salzburg?? even now#this is the weakest salzburg in years they have been so bad this season and fak still didn't get any points out of it#how are they 2nd despite having one of the worst seasons ever? i was really hoping others teams could take advantage but no#i mean punkteteilung did help salzburg π
- which i think is stupid anyway and i would get rid of it btw#and also rapid loosing like that against wac π΅βπ« i would have hoped for a win would have been better for the table from my perspective#they were actually kinda good at the start of the season no idea what happened then ... they are falling apart now#such a weird season altogether ... never would have expected fak to climb up that high in the table#and almost every club was really struggling so much at one point ... hope sturm doesn't blow it now but so far so good#not many matches to go#but well yeah if someone wants share their opinion... i do not follow the austrian league that closely but it'd be nice to chat#well anyways what i was trying to say is that our league is still poor in my opinion and i hope it gets stronger one day#you can also really see that on the international stage ... i mean the austrian clubs did badly in ucl this year (not just this year)#nice to see salzburg dominance has ended tho :)))

Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City and Tottenhamβs best and worst possible Champions League draws
Today is Liverpool Chelsea Manchester City and Tottenham will discover their Champions League destiny.
Will they get the group of death or the group of dreams?
Sportsmail View the best and worst scenarios for the English teams prior to the Thursday night Champions League draw and also explains why Real Madrid has been placed in pot 2.
Here, Sportsmail looks at the best and worst possible draws for the English teams
The draw of the Champions League 2019-20 for the group phase is on Thursday evening
VERY FALLEN DRAWINGS
While neutrals will be drooling at the prospect of a pair of delightful bands, the big English sides will surely have their fingers crossed in prayer for easy passage.
Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham all expect to reach the absolute minimum this season, but they may be forced to revise their expectations in line with the outcome of Thursday's draw.
Qualifying a group is not a guarantee, especially if you do not get the green in the draw. In this case there are a number of teams from each pot that could cause real problems for the English parties.
English teams want Joao Felix & # 39; s Atletico Madrid in pot 2 of the draw
Real Madrid has a special romance with the Champions League and will also be feared
Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City are in pot 1, so can each other not draw but there are a number of forms of idable opponents lurking in pot 2. Tottenham is in the second pot but cannot meet another English team in the groups. The teams in pot 2 who mainly want to avoid the big three are Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, but Napoli and Ajax will also be scared.
Atletico has splashed the money in the summer and no doubt wants to be one of the fictional teams that go far this season's games. Dortmund has also invested well and has an intrepid group of young players who want to go a step further than the last 16 stages this season.
Real Madrid may not be the power that they once were, but they have a certain kind of romance with this competition and you can bet that all Premier League parties breathe relieved if they manage to avoid them.
Napoli are hard to crack on their own patch as Liverpool found last season
Jadon Sancho is a of the many young, hungry players on the side of Borussia Dortmund
Ajax haunted last season through the semi-final under the veil of the underdog and Juventus and Real M hit the road. There will be no such underestimations this time. A massive exodus was predicted this summer, but only Frenkie van Jong and Matthijs from Ligt left. They can still pose a threat to any party on their day.
WORST POSSIBLE GROUP CITY DRAWINGS
Here are some examples of groups that want to avoid Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.
GROUP 1
Atletico Madrid
Inter Milan
RB Leipzig
GROUP 2
Real Madrid
Bayer Leverkusen
Lille
GROUP 3
Borussia Dortmund
Lyon
] Atalanta
(Tottenham can get the bottom two teams in the above groups, but not the top team because they are in the same pot. They want Bayern Munich, PSG, Juventus and Barcelona avoid)
Napoli may not have been able to escape from the group last season, but they ran close to both Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain. A trip to the San Paolo stadium is also always a daunting task β in the 19 home games they have played in the Champions League, only three times have been won.
Tottenham cannot be placed against the aforementioned teams because they are in the same pot, but will be drawn against Bayern Munich, PSG, Barcelona, ββJuventus or Zenit St. Petersburg. No easy rides there.
In pot 3, Inter Milan, Lyon, Valencia and Bayer Leverkusen are the most feared. Inter has brought in major players such as Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez this summer and wants to make a splash in this competition.
Valencia has meanwhile shown that they are on pushovers by beating Barcelona in the Copa del Rey at the end of last season and will be a difficult team to encounter.
Lyon and Bayer Leverkusen both have powerful attacks that can pass through most defenses. In the three games this season, Lyon scored 10, while Leverkusen scored six goals in two.
Now we go to pot 4. Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham can come from behind the couch for this part, there aren't many sides to worry about.
that Lille, Atalanta and RB Leipzig could all cause problems on their day. A visit to Lokomotiv Moscow, Galatasary or Red Star Belgrade will never be a walk in the park either.
BEST CASE DRAWINGS
For Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City, the chances of escaping from the real European powerhouse are small.
Pot 2 is packed with some of the best teams on the continent. Benfica and Shakhtar Donetsk are not slouches, but they offer Liverpool, Chelsea and City a crumb of comfort.
Compared to the other teams in the pot, they would no doubt be easier to navigate. Tottenham, on the other hand, has even smaller chances of avoiding a huge club.
Tottenham will hope to attract Zenit St Petersburg, who made a frustrating start to the season
Saido Berahino ( R) has recently helped Genk and English clubs are happy to sign them
Mauricio Pochettino and his side are in pot 2 and that will also have to compete with one of the big dogs in pot 1. Zenit St. Petersburg is the only side on which they will really come up with their chances.
Zenit has not been participating in this competition since the 2015-16 season, after losing their grip on Russian football in recent years.
They also made a bad start with the new campaign and are in fifth place after seven games. If Tottenham is attracted to them, Pochettino will lick his lips.
There are still a few decent sides in pot 3, but the English parties will not compete against Red Bull Salzburg, Olympiacos, Club Brugge or Slavia Prague, even though some of these parties made an impression in the Europa League as the last season.
Chelsea doesn't mind sorry to get Slavia Prague after beating them in the Europa League last season
Benfica is a decent side, but is one of the weakest in pot 2 of the Champions League draw
Slavia Prague came farthest from tho when teams reach the quarterfinals before they are jointly sent by Chelsea 5-3.
BEST POSSIBLE GROUP CITY DRAWINGS
Here are some examples of groups that Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City hope for.
GROUP 1
Shakhtar Donetsk
Olympiacos
Genk
[194590257] GROUP 2
Benfica
Slavia Prague
Dinamo Zagreb
(Tottenham can get the bottom two teams in the above groups, but not the top team because they are in Below is an example of a group Mauricio Pochettino will hope to get)
GROUP
Zenit St. Petersburg
Tottenham
Club Brugge
Red Star Belgrade
It should have been much more comfortable than the Blues, but they took their eye off the ball in it second leg. Olympiacos was eliminated last season by the Europa League of Dynamo Kiev, team Chelsea defeated 8-0 in total, so none of the English teams will worry about that.
Red Bull Salzburg, who eliminated Club Brugge from the Europa League last year, possibly the strongest of the four parties, but would again not fear the hearts of Liverpool, Chelsea, City of Tottenham if they beat in their groups would be drawn.
In pot 4 there are apparently the weakest sides in the competition. Dinamo Zagreb, Genk and Red Star Belgrade look at the easiest sides to beat on paper.
Genk has already lost two of their five games in the Belgian league this season, while Red Star Belgrade only just managed to sneak through the qualifying round on goals.
The English parties are bound to receive a hostile reception if they have to travel to Red Star, but they must have sufficient experience to handle that. They are not ideal opponents, but it would certainly not be a disaster if one of the English parties attracted them.
Zagreb has some good prospects in their ranks, but should not have enough talent anywhere near their team to make it a difficult night work for one of the English teams.
WHY ARE IT MADRID IN POT 2?
It may seem strange that the most successful team in the history of the competition is being held on Saturday in pot 2 for Thursday's draw.
But Madrid is there after good shortage in their attempt to win the League and the Champions League last season.
The men of Zinedine Zidane finished the third season and were not allowed to be allowed in pot 1.
The main pot consists of the holders of the Champions League (Liverpool), the winners of the Europa League (Chelsea) and the champions of the six highest ranked countries (Manchester City, Barcelona, ββBayern Munich, Juventus), Paris Saint-Germain and Zenit St. Petersburg).
Madrid is placed in the second pot because all remaining 24 teams are placed based on their UEFA coefficient β the La Liga giants have more than any other team with 146 points, so comfortably packed directly in pot 2.
Real Madrid is in pot 2 after becoming third and nothing to win in Europe last season
PS: This is why Russian teams cannot be drawn against Ukrainian teams
UEFA has decided to separate Russian and Ukrainian teams to hold its European competitions in 2014 amid political tensions between the two countries.
They have since continued to prevent Russian and Ukrainian teams from meeting each other in a round of their competitions in light of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
Shakhtar Donetsk is the only Ukrainian team in this year's Champions League and are in pot 2. They cannot be drawn in a group against Zenit St. Petersburg (pot 1) or Lokomotiv Moscow (pot 4)
