"I must admit, you're quite possibly the most calmest person I've ever come across during a rescue. Your cooperation is definitely appreciated." Was Matthew being polite? Quite possibly. But that did not mean that he had not been relieved by howv cooperative they had been, especially when he had told them to remain calm, and trust him. Not only was Cindy remaining calm, but she had also trusted him. That certainly made his job a whole lot easier. Matt did not mind having a conversation with them while they tried to find a way out of the building, if it meant that it would help them remain as calm and cooperative as they had been thus far. Besides, it was not everyday he got to rescue someone who asked so many questions, especially with such genuine interest. Perhaps that was the perk of rescuing a journalist, but Matt had always possessed the ability to multi-task, which allowed him to keep up with their conversation while also remaining focused on bringing her to safety. "I wouldn't say that I get worried, but I guess I feel... some sort of awareness, I guess? I'm aware that there is a threat, and how severe it is. I'm aware that there are lives at risk, and that it's my job to protect those lives. When you're aware of the responsibility that you have on your shoulders, that there are so many lives that depend on you... there's no time for worry. You have to stay calm." He shrugged, glancing around the hallway before he continued to lead them towards the fire escape. "It's just the reality of the world we live in, unfortunately." There was another soft chuckle that escaped his lips upon hearing the sarcasm in her words. "But I still like to believe that there's some good in this world, people like you... who continue to bring the truth to those who need to hear it. As much as I appreciate the offer, I'm not looking for a glowing review, Cindy. Would that do my business a favour? Most certainly, but it's not necessary. Just the truth, regardless of how this thing turns out." Matthew knew that they had to get out first if they were ever going to write that article, and while he could not be certain about how this might turn out, he would make sure that she had made it out, even if he did not. His grip of their wrist was tight as they headed towards the fire exit, and he came to a stop just short of it upon hearing her question. "Uh... we're on the third floor. Please don't tell me that you're afraid of heights? Not that it would make that much of a difference. I'm getting you out of here no matter what, even if I don't make it."
“i’m not worried.” well, that's not entirely true, but she’d feel significantly worse if she were going through any of this alone, so in a way, she can’t complain about the circumstances. better to be in his hands than one of the people stuck upstairs or forcing her way through a panicked crowd, right? they know this is matthew’s job and leaving them behind was never an option, but he doesn’t have to entertain them with banal conversation or answer any of their nonsense questions to keep them calm. if she had to take a guess, she’d think he was doing it purely to be kind and that, she can appreciate. his ability to split focus between keeping an eye out for danger and shepherding someone through the hallways who tends to ramble when they’re nervous is certainly impressive. “don’t you ever get worried though? i’m sure you’re trained well, i’m not saying otherwise, but… you don’t exactly have the easiest job in the world. how do you stay so calm?” not only does he need to be concerned for his own safety, he also has no choice but to put the lives of strangers ahead of himself. being burdened with the task of protecting someone would be a lot for anyone to handle. if something goes horribly wrong in the process, is the blame placed on him? that must be the type of guilt that would inevitably drive a person mad. “threats are everywhere. that’s… really reassuring, thank you.” there’s a hint of sarcasm in their voice, but they can’t exactly blame him for it. he’s clearly been conditioned for this type of thing; high stakes situations where keeping a cool head could mean the difference between making it out unscathed or bloodied. this was only cindy’s second time being entrusted with such a big event and she thought she'd prepared for everything. evidently, the threat of dying had never crossed their mind as a possibility. “likely imminently, if my boss has anything to say about it. i’ll make sure to give you a glowing review though. i’m very generous.” even if she didn’t want to write about this whole experience, getting ahead of the competition is a huge part of journalism and the truth is that she wouldn’t be given much of a choice. depending on how the whole thing ends, the article could very well be turned into a memorial for someone, but they'd like to believe things won’t escalate that far. he seems capable enough... surely the rest of his team would be the same. "oh, right—" a fire escape. wonderful. cindy has never been terribly fond of heights, but she keeps her mouth shut for once and does her best to keep up as they move. it isn’t easy — he has considerably longer legs and already seems to know where he’s going, which is a lot more than she can say for herself — but they’ll be damned if they start outright complaining about such a minor issue amidst the current chaos. “sorry, what floor are we on again?” who knows? maybe she’ll get lucky.

Dear Teacher - Part 2
warnings: teacher and student relationship (The reader is between 19 and 25 years old and please don't get involved with your teachers) angst, fluff, smut (fingering, unprotected sex -Please use a condom- dirty talk)
Word count: 3342 (surely the most I have ever written)
N/A: Hey, many people were asking, so I brought you part two of dear teacher, I hope you like it.I am creating a taglist, message me if you want to be added 💖💖
Part 1
When Tom woke up on Saturday morning he was disappointed to realize that you were no longer there, for a moment he thought that maybe it had all been a dream or just his imagination playing with him, but something inside him knew that no, that the incident had really happened.
"Incident" was how Tom was referring to the whole of Friday night. It had been a bad idea, he knew, meeting you at that bar, inviting you to sit with him, kissing you, taking you to his apartment, and everything that happened after that. He knew it was wrong, but he couldn't help it.
MONDAY:
Tom was nervous. It was the first time he had seen her since Friday and he still didn't know how to handle it.
You walked into the auditorium that morning and it seemed that fate loved to play with you as the two of your gazes met almost instantly, he swallows dryly and you blush before quickly looking away and running to your seat at the back of the room.
"Good morning everyone" He says starting his class, everyone in the room answers him quickly.
"Good morning Mr. Holland" Cindy, one of your students, says cheerfully "Looks like you had a great weekend" she points to a small purple spot on your neck, all the students start laughing as soon as she notices it. You sink into your chair, wanting to hide, mortified with embarrassment, remembering very well that you made that mark on Tom who was blushing in front of everyone's eyes.
"Anyway" he huffs loudly taking the students' attention back to class "I've corrected your Brontë sisters' papers, I'm happy to say that we got very good grades, but only one got a top grade, I'll give it back to you Wednesday" he says before continuing his lesson.
•─────✧─────•─────✧─────•
The class passes slowly, like torture for both of them, they just wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. They needed to talk about what they had done, but they were more than happy not to do that today.
"That's all for today, remember to turn in your next paper on Monday and get ready for the debate next month, see you all on Wednesday" he says to everyone as his class ends. Slowly the room starts to empty, but you can't get out as a hand grabs your wrist making you turn to see who it was.
"Y/N" Mike, the boy who had missed your date on Friday was standing there holding your hand "I just wanted to apologize again for not coming on Friday, I didn't mean to ruin your weekend kitten" he apologizes.
"It's okay, really, you didn't ruin my weekend" you answer politely.
"If you want" he says getting closer to you "We can reschedule, I promise I won't cancel this time" he gives you a conquering smile.
Tom settles back in his chair, moving his hands nervously across his lap. He didn't want to hear your conversation, but as soon as he heard no names being called he started to pay attention, he had no right to be jealous, you weren't his girl, but he hoped you wouldn't accept it, you deserved much better than that boy in front of you.
"Mike, I'm sorry, but I can't accept it" You say, trying to be polite and pulling away from him a little.
"Just a date kitten" Tom rolls his eyes from where he was sitting, did he not understand what no was?
"We better just be friends" you dismiss yourself before leaving the room.
"Girls" the idiot says before leaving the room.
TUESDAY:
Thomas only saw you once that day, talking to your friends in the hallways.
He felt your gaze on him, which made his heart beat faster, and when he returned your gaze you looked away, blushing at having been caught in the act.
As he lay in his bed that night, the memories came back, he was beginning to hate it. Avoidance and being avoided, the two of them should talk about what happened instead of pretending not to and acting like children.
WEDNESDAY:
You were pacing back and forth in the hallway, debating with yourself, trying to decide whether or not to go into that office.
This morning, as Tom walked around the room handing out corrected papers to his students, he left his paper on your desk whispering a congratulations before moving on to the next student. You saw the top grade written on the first page and a little yellow post-it note placed there saying "Meet me in my office at 18:00, please".
It was still 17:50, you could still get away from there and that conversation, but you didn't want to, as nervous as you were you knew what you needed to do. You knock on the door and open it just as you hear a "come in" coming from inside.
"You came" he says getting up from his chair and gives you a shy smile.
"You asked..."
"I didn't think you would actually come."
"I think we really should talk Mr. Holland" you says nervously looking down at her own feet so she doesn't have to face him.
"Mister Holland?" He asks "I thought i asked to call me Tom"
"I can't do that"
"I understand" His voice, there was something different in it, hurt perhaps.
A silence fills the room for a few minutes before he begins to speak.
"I'm sorry about Friday."
"Why are you apologizing?" You asks without understanding.
"I just...thought you..." He sighs walking over to stand in front of your desk, only a few steps away from you.
"I don't regret what we did" You speak as soon as you realize where your speech was going.
"No?" He finally looks directly at you.
"No, my God, I loved every part of that night" a small smile appears on his lips which fades soon after as you continue to speak "But that doesn't mean it wasn't wrong, we shouldn't have let it get to that point".
"I know it wasn't, I know...it was so wrong"
For some reason it was painful to be in that room without being able to touch him again.
"I really wish I wasn't your teacher" he walks towards you "To have met you at another time, maybe then I could have had you to myself, take you out without fear of anyone seeing us, hold your hand, kiss you" His hand caresses your face and you close your eyes leaning in to feel his touch more "I wanted so much Y/N, I wanted to make you my girl...I really like you"
"Thomas, I like you too..." You sigh, your heart aching with every word spoken "But sometimes liking isn't enough for two people to stay together."
"I know, and that's the part that hurts the most" He forehead rests against yours, both of you with your eyes closed, in-between sloshed breaths that were already mingling, Tom felt a tear run down his cheek, your mouths so close "Y/N..."
"Thomas..."
"Tom man, we are late, your brothers will kill us if we are late again" Someone says opening the door suddenly just as you and he are about to kiss. The two of you quickly walk away panting for breath trying to recover from the moment, Tom quickly wipes the tear from his face. A tall blond man that you had seen other times in the halls together with Tom looks at you not understanding anything.
"Am I interrupting something?" the blond man asks suspiciously.
"No" the two of you answer quickly.
"Harrison, this is my student, Y/N" Tom introduces the two of you, perhaps as a way to change the subject "Y/N, this is Harrison Osterfield, professor in the physics department and my best friend".
"It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Y/N" He extends his hand to greet her " I have heard Tom compliment you several times, always saying that you are the best student in your class".
"My pleasure Mr. Osterfield" you shake his hand "I think he is just exaggerating a lot, anyway, I better go, I don't want to get in the way anymore, bye" you take your things and leave the room leaving the two men alone there.
"Wait a moment" He say to Harrison before coming after you.
He holds your wrist and makes you look at him, honestly he almost didn't care anymore that the two of you were standing in the middle of the empty university hallway.
"Y/N please" he says.
"Please what?" you say hurt "Do you want me to stay here? To fight for a passion that is doomed to fail? Something that could end my life at this university or end your career?
"Don't talk like that, we can make it work" he says hurt.
"I wish I was brave enough to try, I swear I do" you let go of his hand "But I'm not, it was just one night stand sex and as much as I like you I know that the sooner we get over it and move on the better, for both of us" you turn and walk away, leaving Tom standing there alone in the hallway with his hurt.
THURSDAY:
Your heart was still hurting. Last night you collapsed on your knees as soon as you got to your dorm room and let the tears finally fall, you were lucky you didn't have a roommate so you could cry all day long without having to answer questions about why you were so bad. And you cried until your eyes hurt, screamed against your pillow until your throat burned, let the sadness leave your body until you finally gave in to tiredness and went to sleep.
Tom was no better off than you, he spent the whole dinner with your family quiet while everyone else at the table talked, he wished so much that he wasn't in love with you, he wished it really had only been one-night stands, maybe then he wouldn't feel like he could die at any moment if he didn't have you by his side.
In different places, but sharing the same pain.
FRIDAY:
Tom looked across the room at you, his eyes red and his expression sad, it looked like you had been crying all night, and you really had, he wanted to go over there and hug you and tell you that everything would be okay, but he couldn't.
If they had thought Monday's class had been torture, this was something worse. Tom gave his class trying to avoid looking in your direction, while you couldn't pay attention to anything that was being said, you just wanted to go back to your room and cry some more. It was the last class of the day so you ran to your room as soon as it was over.
•─────✧─────•─────✧─────•
Tom was tapping his pen frantically on his desk, he should have been correcting his students' work but his mind was elsewhere and his head hurt like it was going to explode at any moment.
"Okay, what the fuck is going on?" Harrison asks, he was with Tom in his office and was starting to get irritated with his best friend.
"What?" Tom asks waking up from his thoughts.
"Tom you've been acting weird all fucking week, you spent the entire Wednesday dinner quiet a thing you don't often do."
"I don't know what you are talking about" he pretends to be paying attention to the papers in front of him.
"Does it have anything to do with that girl who was here?" he asks curious, Tom doesn't answer which only confirms Harrison's thoughts "Oh my god, it has everything to do with her doesn't it?".
"I really don't want to talk about it"
"You like her, that's why you're all emotional, because you can't be with her" Harrison speaks and Tom wonders when did his best friend get so good at unraveling his feelings.
"I had sex with her on Friday" Tom admits at once, his friend had already figured out pretty much everything so there was no reason to keep secrets anymore.
"WHY DID YOU NOT TELL ME THAT?" he practically shouts.
"Can you keep it down please, you're acting like a teenager, we passed that stage a long time ago and I don't want the whole campus to find out."
"I'm not the one acting like a teenager, you are, getting all angry and quiet over something that can easily be resolved" Harrison rolls his eyes as he states the obvious.
"She doesn't want me Harrison, she likes me, but she doesn't want me, she's scared and I can't judge her because I am too, this could destroy my teaching career and end her reputation here"
"Tom, isn't she one of the students graduating this year?" Harrison asked even though he already knew the answer.
"Yeah"
"Dude, she's graduating in less than 5 months and you're telling me that the two of you can't keep this relationship a secret for 5 months?"
"I..." Tom hadn't stopped to think about it.
"I'm sure you two can make it work."
"What if she's not willing to try?"
"You should at least try, Holland, go out there and fight for your girl" He encourages his friend.
"I think you are right, I will do it".
"Of course I'm right" He smiles smugly "Anyway, I don't want to have to put up with your sadness any longer" He says laughing.
•─────✧─────•─────✧─────•
It was almost midnight when you hear someone knocking on your dormitory door, you get out of bed and go to open the door.
"Thomas what are you doing here?" You ask as you see him standing outside, he walks into your dorm still without giving any explanation, you close the door and turn to see him "What kind of idiotic idea is this to come to my dorm, someone could see you here, how would we explain this?" You ask in an agitated manner.
Tom doesn't answer at first, he just looks at you, the baggy sweatshirt too big for your body, the hair tied back with a few strands falling in front of your face and the glasses on the end of your nose, and he can't resist. He walks toward you and kisses you, holding your face between his hands, his hands against your chest as you respond to his kiss, his heart beating hard in his chest and the sense of relief that he is kissing you again after what seems like the longest week of his life.
"I'm sorry" he says pulling away "I didn't come to do this, I just wanted to talk and..."
"It's okay" he fixes his glasses on his face.
"Y/N, I really like you, this is so stupid, I just... I want to try this, it's only five months until you graduate, we can make it...
"Tom" you try to interrupt him but he keeps talking non-stop.
"...to do this, I'm sure it wouldn't be easy at first and it's not the kind of relationship that's ideal or the relationship that someone like you deserves..."
"Tom" calls him again.
"But I'm willing to try, for you, for us, I want to try..." You kiss him again making him stop talking.
"I'm willing to try Tom" you say between kisses and he smiles "For us"
"I didn't think you would accept, I was already preparing myself for a no" you both laugh.
He sits down on your bed and pulls you to sit on his lap with each leg on one side of your body, he takes the glasses off your face and places them on your desk before kissing you.
"Damn, I missed that" he sighs between the kiss.
"It's literally only been a week" you say smiling.
"Really? It's felt like forever" he kisses you more intensely this time, his hands gripping your hips tightly making you move over his lap, the kisses slide down your face to your neck, you throw your head back.
"Tom" you say his name as a plea, his hands slide up your thigh squeezing you firmly.
"What do you want princess?" He asks with his head in the curve of your neck before leaving a small bite in that region.
"You, Thomas, I need you" you slowly roll over in his lap feeling his already hard length under you "please".
He smiles smugly at your response. Your sweatshirt is removed leaving you in just your panties and Tom lays you down on your bed placing his body on top of yours .
"This has been the most torturous week of my life" he removes the rest of his clothes and throws them on the floor "I couldn't get you out of my mind" he leaves a kiss on her neck exactly where he had "I thought about how I wanted to feel you again" the kisses descend to the top of her breasts and one of his hands grab her thigh wrapping her leg around his waist while the other goes down to her intimacy pulling her panties apart just enough for two fingers to touch them "That pussy is so wet, all this for me honey? "
"Yes, all for you Tom" he smiles at her answer before penetrating her with his fingers causing a quiet moan to come from her lips.
"Good girl."
"Your girl" you sigh ecstatic with pleasure.
"Fuck" Tom kisses you again, your words making him even harder than he already was "Say that again " he thrusts his fingers inside you reaching that wonderful spot inside you.
"I.Am.Your.Girl."
"My girl."
He had barely started and you were already so close, but he doesn't let you get there, teases you to the edge before stopping and doing it all over again.
"Please stop teasing me, I'm so close" you beg.
"No princess, I want you to cum around my dick" He says pulling his fingers out of you and removing your panties before turning you both over on the bed making you stand on top, he sits against the headboard as you rest your hands on his shoulders "now ride me like the good girl I know you are".
You sit on his member feeling him fill you completely, you both moan the moment you are finally together, standing still for a moment to get used to his size. Moving slowly until you finally get into a rhythm.
"So so good" he moans, his hand gripping her throat the way he remembered he had made her go crazy last time "So beautiful riding my dick" his other hand leaves a slap on her ass making her moan his name out loud as she throws her head, back rolling over in his lap .
"Tom I'm so close" you say as he gives you a push with his hips making his cock hit your G-spot, his hand making circular motions against your clit this time.
"Come to me then baby" he says and with a few more movements you are enjoying his wrist making you come next, your head falls on his shoulder and he spreads kisses down your neck as you recover from your recent orgasm.
•─────✧─────•─────✧─────•
You were wearing your shirt now, your head lying on his chest as he stroked your hair.
"You'll still be here when I wake up, right?
"Well this is my dorm so I can't leave" you say as a joke.
"I'm serious Y/N" he says laughing.
"Yeah, I'm not going anywhere" you smile fondly returning to lie on his chest closing your eyes almost falling asleep with his affection.
"Good, I don't want you to leave, I want you forever" he kisses the top of your head before falling asleep with you in his arms, no goodbyes this time.

So here's my best shot! I hope you enjoy it!
11th Doctor x reader
Visiting Childhood Places
The Doctor takes y/n to his favorite place in the whole wide galaxy.
Word Count 2,018
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
"Doctor, where are we going today?" You asked as you leaned your back against the railing.
"Oh I thought, we could go somewhere fun today!" He looked over to you smiling from the control panel.
Usually when the Doctor says, "fun" he means, "go to another planet and get accidently caught by aliens and sent to jail". So when you gave him a skeptical look he was not surprised to see it coming from you. Many times you were told places would be fun. Meeting Christopher Columbus was supposed to be fun and it was, until the doctor found out that Chris was just a clone who was part of some ancient alien race trying to take over the new colonie. Then that led to more danger and big spaceships. But in the end everyone was okay and ended up alive, and all of history was put back into place.
The Doctor just smiled at you, "trust me this one won't be as bad as the times before."
"I'll be the judge of that" you replied with a sly grin and a wink.
He laughed it off and started pulling levers and twisting knobs. The Tardis started making its iconic wooshing sound. You held onto the railing and was laughing as the Doctor jumped from here to there to get the spaceship to travel to wherever you were going.
As the Tardis settled down, the Doctor was ecstatic. He ran over to you with a happy smile, grabbed your hands and twirled you around.
You were astounded by his giddiness over one place. The last time he was this happy was when he learned to rollerskate. You had the biggest smile on your face as he twirled you around in a few more circles.
"Are you ready?" He asked as he stopped spinning you and took one of your hands.
You nodded your head and his eyes lit up. You followed the Doctor to the door of the Tardis.
"Now, when I say fun, this is what I mean. I haven't been here in hundreds of years!"
He swung open the door and stepped out with you right behind him.
"Welcome to the biggest amusement park on the planet Aerelia. Where all aliens can come together and have some fun!"
You looked at the place amazed. The whole place was like a human amusement park but 10 times bigger. There were rollercoasters, some with tracks some without. Food vendors everywhere, selling treats from all sorts of different planets around the galaxies. Aliens of all sorts were walking up and down the long walkways. Some of the aliens you could recognize were the ood, slitheen, adipose, and vinvocci, but there were a lot more that you did not know. Balloons and what looked to be cotton candy were being sold by some aliens walking around the park as well.
"Doctor this place! It's just incredible!" You exclaimed.
His eyes darted from one thing to the next like a child in a candy store. He started walking and you went along with him as both of your hands were glued to each other.
It was like walking in a wonderland filled with all sorts of delights and games, rides that you've never seen before that look quite scary.
"I was never fond of those ones" the Doctor would say as he pointed up to the huge roller coasters that floated above and around you. Some flipping people upside down while others just flashed before you like a speed of light.
"Are you telling me you're actually scared of something Doctor?"
"Well, not really. Just found other things around here to fill my time with." He smiled at you with eyes that were filled with kindness.
"Okay then Doctor. Show me what a normal day would be like here if you were a kid?"
His smile got much wider and he seemed to accept the challenge.
"One must first partake in the eating of a fried zigtobno."
"A what?"
"A fried zigtobno. It's quite delicious really! Somewhat of a funnel cake as they would call it on Earth."
You gave him a confused look as he led you down the aisle of food vendors, surrounding you on both sides. Many of the places had small lines, but the one the Doctor was leading you to had no line at all.
It was a small yellow shack that had a sign above it that said
~FRESH FRIED ZIGTOBNO~
The alien inside was a small creature with 4 tentacles running down its face. It looked like a small ood but with a shrimp like head with a human body. It had what seemed to be a thick layer of flour all over his apron, and when he moved the flour seemed to move with him like a ghost.
"Ahh Herbert my good pal! How's it been?" The Doctor flew his hand onto the counter and Herbet flew his hand on top of the Doctors. They did a very interesting hand shake that consisted of fistbumps, finger snaps, a pinky promise and at the end the Doctor made a bird call while the Shrimp man (or whatever he was) just put his hand up to his eyes and covered them.
After the complex ritual, Herbet and the Doctor started laughing.
"Good to see ya old pal! What can I get for you and your lovely misses today?"
You slightly blushed at the choice of words this Shrimp man had said.
"Just one fresh fried zigtobno please!"
Herbert smiled and whipped around to fix up a zigtobno. Although you couldn't see what exactly he was making it sure did smell good.
"How long have you known Herbert?" You asked out of curiosity.
"Oh just around 400 years or so. Great pal. He saved me from a trash can falling on me once. That's the day I fell in love with his food stand. Never wanted any other food than fresh fried zigtobno." He stood there with his eyes closed smelling the sweet smell that was coming from the little shed.
"One order for you Doctor."
The Doctor was reaching inside his pocket but before he could pull out anything Herbert just said, "Don't worry about it. This one's on me."
The Doctor smiled and patted Herbert on the arm. "Thanks friend. I owe you one!" He smiled and grabbed the zigtobno and walked over to a bench, sitting where you could look off at all the rides in the area.
The zigtobno was not what you were expecting. It had a cinnamon roll type texture but it was in one big heaping like an elephant ear. The powder that was on top of it consisted of pastel colors that luminated in the sunshine.
"Here you have the first bite." The Doctor said as he held the paper plate the food was on.
You tore off a piece and it was slightly gooey on the inside. Not sure if it was completely baked or it was supposed to be like that you took a bite anyways.
Your eyes light up like a million stars, as you tasted the pastry. The dough tasted as though a fresh warm baguette, with the powder as cool strawberries all mixed with a slight chocolate flavor hinting on the tip of your tounge.
"This is the best food I've ever had. Like better than Aunt Cindy's raspberry tart she makes for Christmas."
The Doctor laughed as you quickly reached for another piece and ate it quickly. He joined in as well and ate the simple pastry made by the Shrimp man Herbert.
Once you were both done eating, the Doctor continued to show you around a few more of his favorite places. Some of which were the center drama, where mini plays were put on throughout the day. The one you ended up watching was like a Romeo and Juliet spin-off. Instead of them both dying they just left Earth with some aliens and started a whole new colony. The Doctor thought it was fantastic while you on the other hand thought it could have been a little less cliche. But come on, it's Romeo and Juliet we're talking about.
He also showed you some of his favorite rides like the flying dragons, which you could control going up and down. And let's be honest the Doctor did most of the controls himself. Another ride was more like a simulation of whether you could get out in 10 minutes or not. And again he did most of the work for that one as well.
But as the day went on the night started to fall and it was getting quite late. You were getting slightly tired from all the fun you've been having, but the Doctor had one more thing purposefully planned put. (Apparently it's been planned for quite some time. But you know time travel and how that all works, and let's be honest he probably wandered off to run to the Tardis and do this because he just thought of it like 2 seconds ago)
The sky was almost fully dark and the stars were shining brightly. The Doctor led you to one last ride, a ferris wheel.
He checked his watch and started mumbling under his breath. "Right. Now just wait a few more ticks and then we should be good to go."
You kept giving him sideways glances as you walked up to the large ferris wheel.
"Did you know that this was built only 200 years ago, and it still runs to this day!" You could tell he was getting nervous. Spilling out random facts about random things was what he did when he got nervous. Yet you had no idea why he was so scared over one ride on the ferris wheel. Didn't he want to go on it? Was he that afraid of heights?
With a slight "hmm" the Doctor seemed to settle down a bit and slowly started to relax more.
When you reached the line the doctor handed the ticket taker 2 very old fashioned tickets. The ticket taker smiled and then winked at me as we entered the cart.
When the Doctor walked in he turned around to see what my reaction would be.
The cart was filled with fuzzy blankets, a tub of popcorn, and a giant zigtobno placed on the seats across from us. The Doctor smiled as he saw my eyes light up with joy.
"Did you do all of this?"
"Oh possibly. Maybe it was the past me, or the future me, hard to tell sometimes." He smiled and sat down on the right side of the cart. You joined him and then the wheel started turning up.
When the wheel was at the very tippy top it stopped. You could see the whole sky from up there. Galaxies and stars could be seen from up here.
Soon shooting stars started to light the sky.
"Doctor this is amazing!"
He smiled as the stars were passing the both you from up above.
"Tonight marks the 500th year anniversary of the legend of Mika and Woo. The ones the play were about."
Ahh yes the cringy Romeo and Juliet play that you watched earlier that day.
The Doctor slowly placed his arm around your shoulder as he continued talking.
"Legend has it that once that Mika and Woo landed on an abandoned planet they started their own colony. Representing peace for all alien races. That's what this place represents, peace for all to come together as one."
"That's just beautiful Doctor"
"I know isn't it?" He turned his head every so slightly to get a glimpse of your amazed face.
You slowly put your head down on his shoulder, the Doctor tensed up a bit not knowing what to do. But as minutes went on he started to relax.
About 10 mins later you were out asleep, from such a long day you had the Doctor did not blame you.
He gently placed a soft kiss on top of your head and then continued to fall asleep himself.

Along with being a nostalgic person, I'm also very sentimental. Having moved recently and had so many of my things in storage for over a year, I have pondered the feelings of those around me as well as the ones inside myself, towards the many boxes of items found in our home. I realize that often times Homemakers / matriarchs can be misunderstood, if not teased, for closets and drawers and sheds with tucked away items.
I know that within the next decade my mother will begin her next journey and her belongings will be left behind. It will be the duty of our children to remove the items from her home that surrounded her in life. Along with that realization I know that I will not know the meaning of each knick-knack, book, dish and souvenir and I will wonder, but will be unable to answer the question.
I believe it is important to tell the story of the things in my life that will be left behind and wondered about.
The small trinket box above made from a seashell as it's lid, was given to me by the mother of a little boy I babysat each week when his parents went on their date nights. Sherry and Robin Markel were neighbors of Rosemary Mares. Sister Mares, was one of my most favorite women at church. She was fun to play with and seemed to like me as a young girl.
Grandma Lilly babysat Rosemary's grandson Michael everyday while both parents worked. She told her neighbor Sherry about my mom and grandma started to babysit her little boy Asa. That's how I landed the job on Friday night's. They live just across Swan to the east from Grandma's house.
I think I was only 12 or 13 but Sherry was very kind to me and found out that I wanted to learn how to decorate cakes. Without me knowing, and as a thank you, she signed us both up for beginning cake decorating once a week at JCPenney's down at the El Con Mall. Each week we were to bring a baked, iced cake, according to the shape and size directed by the instructor. Then we would each decorate our cakes the same way to learn the design of the week.
She also found out that I liked gummy bears (they were a brand new candy) and bought me a big bag of them from an actual candy counter in El Con. I was in heaven.
I remember one time my very best friend who'd moved away was coming to town to visit on the very night that I would be babysitting. She let me have Cindy over too, so I could visit with her while I babysat. It was so much fun. I got to cook snacks for us and we watched TV and we got to see each other after many years.
She gave me this seashell box for my high school graduation. It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever been given and I've always kept special things in it. I like to collect perfume samples which Cosmetics sales women would hand out on the weekends in The Beauty Department. (Just like in Elf). You could sample it and then if you wanted they would give you a card with a little vial attached inside. I don't think they do this anymore. It was from one of these sales people that I got my sample of Opium which became my most favorite scent and Dad's ❤
In the picture above is one of those perfume vials and a bud from my wedding bouquet.
Sherry and Robin were at our wedding reception. There is a photo of them dancing. She has a short strawberry blonde bob and he has dark hair and a mustache and beard that is graying.
I have not seen them since that night. But I have never forgotten them, especially her, and how kind and thoughtful she was to me, when I didn't realize at the time how much I needed that love.
