i don't relate to indians or indian culture broadly but i have so much bengali pride (not bangladeshi my family is from west bengal which if u don't know is the india side of bengalis). like idk if that's just because i'm a literature/art/film/music person and also a marxist but i'm so proud of bengalis for being the most literary and artistic and marxist people ever. i'm not exactly keen on identifying with indians as a whole like i just do not relate to other indian-americans BUT. being bengali is the best i love my heritage every time someone mentions kolkata/bengali-specific stuff i'm like RAHHHHHH
