Idk if you’ve been asked this yet but for the characters who you want to have begins episodes for on lone star, what would you want the plot line and/or backstory to be that is covered in the episodes? So far you said you want Carlos, Judd and Paul begins episodes first and then maybe marjan and Mateo later on. So if you could write up plot lines for these begins episodes, what would you want to see for these characters?
ooh okay so i sat on this for a couple days to let my ideas come together, and since it might get long i’ve put my response under the cut!
carlos begins:
- just....more exploration into who he is! we’ve gotten glimpses through the past few episodes, like how he clearly has a close relationship with his parents and extended family though he still feels some distance because they don’t talk about his sexuality. i feel like someone else mentioned this in their spec post about possible begins episodes, but i think seeing carlos hurt or having a super intense call and dealing with the after-effects of it would be really insightful into his character and his past. like, there are so many possibilities—maybe his reasoning behind following his father’s footsteps in terms of his career path, his inner turmoil as a gay poc cop? i just really want a scene kind of like in 2x04 where we saw that pure vulnerability and insecurity from carlos for, really, the first time in the show’s history. you know there’s more bubbling under the surface, and it could give way to some excellent whump and emotional hurt/comfort.
- also, this is pure speculation, but i’ve always been super intrigued by the look he gives the ackermans in 1x08 when they’re reunited in the scene just before tk gets shot. it’s just...sad? i guess? maybe it’s just me and i’m making something out of nothing askdjfnaksd, but coming from someone who’s had dementia/alzheimer's in the family, i feel like carlos felt a deeper connection to the ackermans’ story than the episode really explored. and i think delving into his history would be really eye-opening for him as a character, especially if it coincides with a current-day traumatic event or something!
judd begins:
- at-risk youth judd? it’s something i never really considered for him but he clearly has a history with a difficult childhood as hinted at in the crossover, and i think seeing him deal with a current-day situation with some kids again while going into his past would be really interesting. plus, we know paul observed the hell out of that interaction between judd and jj, and definitely has questions about it that could get us more of judd’s backstory.
- maybe hesitations around himself becoming a father? we saw in...1x09, i believe? when papa ryder asked about a grandbaby and grace sided with him, judd was playfully making up excuses. while that could’ve just been in the moment, i think he might have some serious worry about his own capabilities as a parent—maybe stemming from his own experiences as kid, especially with his ptsd now and the job he’s in being fairly risky. so maybe a judd begins could explore that, his relationship with his brothers and dealing with a call about a kid that’ll lead him into realizing ‘hey, maybe i could do this for real,’ and we get a sweet moment between him and grace about starting a family.
paul begins:
- i think exploring the transition from chicago to texas could be really interesting for paul, as well as going more into his observation skills. we know for the synopsis to 2x06 that he’ll be getting an unexpected visit from his mother and “estranged” sister, so i think we’ll be inching toward more of his relationship with his family this season, and that could be a perfect gateway into his backstory!
- also...why’d he become a firefighter? we have a good enough idea for tk and owen—and even judd and mateo—but paul and marjan are kind of mysteries in that regard, and i’d love to know what sparked that urge within him to help people. that history was explored in several of the begins episodes in 911, and i’d love to see that moment for paul!!
marjan and mateo begins:
- so we know that her parents support her and that she has a reckless streak, and likes going viral. i’d love to know what sparked that for her (whether as a child or maybe finding that later in life). i’d love to see her going through various firehouses—like she said, she’s allergic to poor leadership—and eventually finding true family in the 126. and, same as paul, why become a firefighter? what were the struggles in getting as far as she has?
- as for mateo, we know he’s a dreamer and that he’s pretty big-hearted and is like the firehouse’s little brother, but we know so little about his actual family life that i think that’d be the best way to learn more about him!
realistically, i feel like judd begins would come first, since they’ve started planting those seeds in the story regarding his past. then i could see us getting a paul begins or maybe a marjan begins, before eventually getting to carlos if only because the show does tend to be more fire-focused, so i feel like there would have to be a pretty big call that impacts all the characters to really bring the focus onto carlos, no matter how badly i want to see it. we’ll eventually get a tk begins too, i’m sure, exploring his childhood with a dad who survived 9/11 and likely going into his addiction and his impulse in following owen’s footsteps, but i hope we get to explore some of the other characters first!!

alright tumblr let’s get theorizing
Chase. #1 trending on YouTube currently, and one of the biggest things the JSE community has been waiting for. Evident from some asks, Sean himself said that this is the most information put out about Chase and it’s jam packed with background hidden in plot points and setups. Now, I’m no Sherlock Holmes, but my AP English classes have taught me how to write so you bet I’m gonna put that knowledge to use. (cue Ryan Bergara BFU voiceover) With that being said, let’s get into some theories. ((hey!! scroll all the way down to the bottom of this long ass post for the TL;DR if you don’t wanna read it all!!))
We open with Chase entering the scene of what is presumably his house/apartment. An eviction notice is taped on his door, which states that he must vacate the premises no later than September of 2019. Eviction notices are only given to a a judgment debtor (which is specified in the notice itself), meaning that Chase probably hasn’t paid his rent in full, or at all for that matter. This can be further backed up by the fact that in the very first video where we were introduced to Chase Brody, he seemed to be making his “Bro Average” videos as a way of not only coping with his failed marriage, but for coming up with a paycheck. Videos can possibly be his source of income, and it would make sense that as a struggling content creator, Chase is only living by scraping up what he has left (which I think explains the excited facade he puts up throughout the “Bro Average” vids despite his true depressed nature).
Chase then goes to his car and opens the driver’s side door, from which garbage spills out. This could be symbolic of the cluttered headspace Chase Brody has been in ever since the events of “Bro Average”, or it could also show that Chase has been evicted for some time now and spends his time living in his car (or both! We are theorizing after all!)
In this shot, where he rummages through his glove box, we catch a glimpse of the same whiskey bottle present in the end of the video “Tie- A Game About Depression”. This can be attributed to his coping mechanism of drinking, which is obviously a common theme surrounding Mr. Brody.
As he’s looking in the glove box, we see “another Sean” in the back seat, staring at Chase. As of right now, this scene can be totally up in the air as to what it means or if it’s real or not, but I just have a few thoughts on this. First, this could be a dreamlike sequence (which I’ll get back to later) in which Chase (or another ego) is looking back on the past and what happened to see what went wrong. Second, this could be taking place in real time, in which Chase’s manifestation of his inner demon is tangibly symbolized by another “him”. Seeing double usually symbolizes the duality of man or duality of a certain character, and Chase is no exception. Considering the mental state Chase must be in at this moment, it’s possible that this scene symbolizes the inner turmoil or torn feelings he has.
He pulls out a photo from his glove box, which we can assume to be of his wife Stacey and his unnamed kid, and proceeds to have a mental breakdown in his car, yelling and hitting his wheel. In most movies, this is a breaking point similar to a character punching a mirror or trashing up a room. Bottled up emotions from his past being triggered by one photo further solidifies Chase’s unstable mental state.
Fast forward a bit, and Chase decides to drive up to the woods, which seems to be a place that he holds dearly (more on that later). As previously mentioned, I just want to bring back up the possibility that this entire thing could be a dream or fantasy sequence, because of the strange use of a fish eye lens when Chase enters the woods. Fisheye lenses are used to make the photographed scene appear more panoramic and it’s typically a wide shot lens used for photos, but for some reason it stuck out to me when it was used in this video. Now, I could just be overanalyzing things here, but distortion lenses, when used in videos or movies, can be symbolic of a dreamlike sequence. This could mean that the woods section of this video is all just happening in his head, and the “extra Sean” we saw in the backseat of the car is just Chase reliving what happened in the past (implying that this entire video, up until the end where Chase is in the parking lot, happened in the past). BUT I DIGRESS
Chase walks through the woods and settles on a spot where a tower of rocks are balanced and thIS MY FRIENDS is where I found my most compelling piece of evidence. He pulls out the polaroid photo, kisses it, and sets it down at the base of the rock structure, and this was SUCH A BIG THING I had to google it. What I came up with was an article with the quote about balanced rocks: “These piles aren’t true cairns, the official term for deliberately stacked rocks. From middle Gaelic, the word means “mound of stones built as a memorial or landmark.” There are plenty of those in Celtic territories, that's for sure, as well as in other cultures; indigenous peoples in the United States often used cairns to cover and bury their dead. Those of us who like to hike through wilderness areas are glad to see the occasional cairn, as long as it's indicating the right way to go at critical junctions in the backcountry.”
WELL WELL WELL look what we have HERE! These balanced rocks, aka cairns, act almost like headstones for the deceased and a path guide in the wilderness. Which, funny enough, is what we’re probably looking at right here in this shot! Chase putting the photo at the base of the cairn most likely means that his wife and child are unfortunately deceased, which may or may not be due to his own actions (reference back to Chase’s mental breakdown at the sight of the polaroid photo-- he doesn’t seem to take even just looking at the photo well). This cairn is also in a spot that Chase seems very familiar with, especially because he settles down fairly quickly, taking a swig of his whiskey on a boulder nearby. Chances are, there’s some history in this neck o’ the woods and it could be the spot of cherished memories with Chase’s family. I’d also like to point out that there is a certain scene at the end of one of Sean’s videos titled “Dark Silence”, in which we hear children’s screams and presumably Chase yelling, “What did you do to them?”. Could the death of his family and the ending of “Dark Silence” be tied together? POSSIBLY SO!! Am I implying that Anti might have some foul play involved with the Brody family?? MaYbEE!!!
Finally, we reach the end of the 4 minute video, in which Chase is seemingly teleported to the top of a parking lot complex. He looks around confused and a little nervous or worried, and he checks over the edge of the railing and feels himself as if to make sure he’s in one piece. I think this is a strange detail to add in, especially since it’s the one we end on and are therefore stuck with. Personally, I think that the transition out of the woods sequence was Chase snapping back into reality, realizing that there’s something he has to do. Let me elaborate: the woods sequence sandwiched in between the beginning and the end of this short stuck out like a sore thumb to me. Unlike the start (where Chase is greeted with the eviction notice and he enters his car) and the end (where he ends up on the parking lot complex), the woods sequence in between is clearly different; taking place away from the city, nature is clearly evident and more dominant, and it’s taken in a warmer color. Now this might just be me and my “so-you’re-tryna-be-smart” ass, but the woods sequence seemed to be in a warmer light than the cooler ones in the beginning and end. Warmer tones usually have an underlying dream feel. What I’m tryna get at here is that the woods sequence we saw-- regardless of whether or not it actually happened-- might be a dream, and Chase “teleporting” to the parking lot was him snapping out of it. He seems dazed for a moment, which looks to me like he was planning to take his own life (we know he has a tendency for doing things like this from the “Bro Average” video), but appears surprised to snap out of it and remaining in one piece-- alive. Maybe he thought he jumped off, but snaps out to realize he didn’t??
This shit’s already getting too long so TL;DR, Chase was evicted from his home, gets depressed that he has to deal with not only this, but his broken family, decides that the only way to resolve his issues is to take his life by jumping off a parking lot complex, has a dream about his family’s resting place, then snaps out of it only to realize that jumping off isn’t his last hurrah, because there’s something else he has to do first.
JESUS CHRIST i hope you liked that entire thing! these are just my thoughts and surprisingly enough, my first theorizing contribution for the JSE community! i hope it makes sense,, my eyes hurt and i’m really tired and this took me 2 hours pls enjoy :,)

“I will tell you something about stories … They aren’t just entertainment. Don’t be fooled. They are all we have, you see, all we have to fight off illness and death.” ― Leslie Marmon Silko
I grew up in a story telling culture, the Scots-Irish-German culture of the Appalachia plateau and highlands. My youth was full of family stores – grandparent stories of war and youthful pranks and hauntings. I grew up with tales of will o’ the wisps, the dead ringing bells to alert the living that they were buried alive, water horses that would steal you into a watery realm never to return. Stories were the places where I connected to the past and laid the groundwork for the future.
As an adult I fell into a profession that was a story sharing profession, I became a psychotherapist, a counselor if you will, a person who uses stories to “fight off illness and death.” Eventually, I became a specialist in horror stories, a trauma specialist. Experience and specialized training allowed me to learn how to listen to stories of war, rape, pillage, mass murder, surviving torture and in the listening learned to help people edit those stories. Part of that experience and training was being accompanied into my own experience of trauma by a brave and talented therapist who listened to my stories, helped me step back from my stories and see how I could face the darkness and overcome that darkness by realizing that my stories were not abnormal but part of the human condition:
“We have not even to risk the adventure alone for the heroes of all time have gone before us. The labyrinth is thoroughly known …we have only to follow the thread of the hero path. And where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a God.
And where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves. Where we had thought to travel outwards, we shall come to the center of our own existence. And where we had thought to be alone, we shall be with all the world.” ― Joseph Campbell
My becoming a trauma therapist was a natural transition from a youthful interest in literature, religion, art, science and culture. At the age of twelve I first read Dracula and have re-read it every decade of my life since then, always captivated by the story of the race between Dracula and Van Helsing and van Helsing’s company of common men and women to Dracula’s castle to lay to rest the dark and horrible soul of Dracula once and for all. I see the story of Dracula as the epitome of the seductiveness of trauma and the hidden horror of trauma. In that tale, every single member of van Helsing’s brave band was wounded and changed by the pursuit and casting out of that traumatic darkness in a manner that each member could become their own Van Helsing, their own hero, and conquer the Dracula demon as he manifest in their own story.
Even beyond the story of Dracula my interest in literature, religion, art, science and culture has informed my work as a therapist. Stories like Frankenstein, The Island of Dr. Moreau, The Heart of Darkness and more introduced me broadly into the nature of the human condition. As an undergraduate in the History of Art I learned that Art itself was a story and that the history of Art and literature was an even larger story detailing the human condition and the fears and horrors we all faced. It is now close to thirty years I have helped patients address their own story of horror as they live their part of the story of the human condition.
Today it is common for psychotherapists to list the things, they help clients address. Inevitably topping that list “trauma specialist.” It sounds important and useful but is merely a lost leader for most therapists. Few therapists have the disposition or broad training to actually enter the personal world of horror tales of patients. The cost of actually entering that world of trauma to assist is very high for the therapist and one cannot do so without being scared by the stories of their clients, often experiencing secondary trauma. It is more common now for therapists to simply look into the abyss, listen to a second or third hand account of how to treat such trauma and say – I have seen the darkness, I can help. Looking into the abyss is not the same as going through the abyss with someone holding the light like Beatrice did for Dante. Therapists who use a bit of second and third hand awareness of the abyss to advertise themselves as a trauma specialist is like your local GP saying he is a neurosurgeon because he studied the brain in medical school anatomy. He knows the brain is there but does not have a deep experiential understanding of how it really works.
In the modern western canon of heroic heroes fighting illness and death the main hero of the story is the medical professional, the doctor or nurse – a person of science welding knife, potion and bed pan. The “counselor” is poorly respected and often excluded from this role because the very nature of being a counselor has not been to become a person of action applying scalpel and potion to address illness and death. Instead the role of the counselor is more like that of Athena appearing as Mentor to Telemachus in the Odyssey, a guide and moderator moving Telemachus from impulsive youth toward wise thoughtful adult. Unlike the Doctor with a slashing scalpel or a bag full of herbs the counselor’s tools are questions? “Tell me how can I help?” usually followed by “what happened?” and “what happened next?”, thus opening a story to be told and heard, embraced and wept-over, in time understood and hopefully healed in the shared delight of the mentor/counselor showing the story teller how heroically they came through the journey. It is very difficult now for the patient to find an Athena, a Mentor, a van Helsing to listen to the story of their dark ordeal. Sadly, in the effort to gain scientific and financial respectability the “counseling profession” has given up story listening and instead now provides “evidence-based formulas” like a doctor prescribes a pill then rush patients and their stories out of the door in as few sessions as possible. Psychotherapy has so wanted to join the fabled ranks of the medical profession that it has given up its greatest tool, listening and helping rewrite the tales of horror our patients bring us. Instead we simply apply the bandages of evidence-based care to the wound and call it a day never really understanding it is our job to do both, to listen and to teach. In our efforts to receive legitimacy in medicine we forgot that counselors were the bedside manner doctors abandoned with the ten-minute visit imposed by the accountants from the insurance companies.
I also believe that the unwillingness to listen is a lack of courage on the part of many who enter the counseling profession. This lack of courage stems from one major change in the training of Psychotherapists. Now, unlike thirty or more years ago when one had to tell the tale of one’s own race along the Danube and across that Wallachian plain or relate one’s own quest for the great white whale and face the turmoil of one’s inner demons, learning how to overcome the fear and finding great courage in the adventure of the quest to lay one’s demons to rest, one now takes a few courses in university about abstract theories distilled from the writings of the masters of the profession, has a two year internship of how to complete endless forms and then gets a certification as a master of the craft of Counseling. In short, most therapists no longer are required to undertake that great journey of the soul toward self-knowledge and healing. And the very nature of university training tends to exclude counselors more and more from the study of undergraduate humanities which would inform the Counseling student about the historical continuity of the human condition expressed throughout time in literature, Art, religion and history. Having been separated from that knowledge of the humanities Counselors have lost the art and power not only story telling but in the exclusion from their training the struggle with their own journey into the heart of darkness learning how to help edit a story into one of heroic victory. Those who come to us for mentoring leave never understanding why the demon still rises in the night of their soul and why the behavioral plasters we offer in time no longer work. The answer is simple, counselors have stopped listening and even when they do they have never made the journey themselves and really do not know how to guide another through it.
My life partner carries such demons in her soul and time and again she tells me she simply wants someone to help her tell her stories, to have someone to just listen and then show her how to heal. She says that every therapist she approaches insists that she needs to only focus on the here and now and use this technique or another and that she will be well all the while shutting her need to share her stories down. Thanks to therapists shutting her story down she now “feels that it is pointless to even ask for such help” with healing her story. Although I know how, I cannot help her edit her story into one of victory because I am too close to offer the magic of the therapeutic relationship, I cannot be Beatrice to her Dante. I am a commoner in her daily stories and ther is no mystery or magic ther of healer to healed. This being told to focus only on the here and now is not just her story but a story I have heard time and again when I begin with patients and ask them why therapy has not worked in the past. I remember more than one patient telling me that the fact I could hear their story and not be destroyed helped them in turn not allow the story to continue to destroy them.
I believe what has happened in the mental health community in the last fifteen years is a shame. In our efforts to be accepted into the medical/insurance community we have given up the very gift of listening and its power we offered. We turned ourselves over to the behavioral psychology community whose model is the bell and the rat for our understanding of the human condition. Of course, we need the stake, the silver bullet, the whaleboat and harpoon – but we need to help people tell the tale of their struggle, the story of the fear of the quest go with them and show them when, where and how to use the stake, the silver bullet, the whaleboat and harpoon. Above all we to meet patients where they are when they come to see us by first listening to the story as they understand it and offer the empowering “I hear your fear, your frustration your confusion, will you let me help?” We can only do that if we honestly slow down and listen and help them open that story to us with gentle encouragement. When we do that and keep in mind our role is not to allow them to get trapped in telling and retelling but providing them direction through the use of the tools we have not only will therapy move forward quickly but will allow our patients to have lasing relief. If all we do is offer them “tools” without the context of their story then in the end, we offer them nothing.
“Everything is held together with stories. Barry Lopez

4 Simple Steps to Jump Start Your Healthy Lifestyle
Who doesn't need to live a joyful, energetic life filled with vibrant health? It is a goal we all share and aspire to. But sometimes it seems so far from our reach that we find it easier to just keep doing what we do and not be worried about it until we must buy larger size clothing, are shocked by a photo of ourselves or get bad news and strict orders from the physician.
And once we reach that point we announced"Starting tomorrow I am going on a diet and exercising" we proclaim this endeavor with no plan, system or plan just fueled by a combination of good intentions and utter frustration. And how long can our unplanned advancement last? Not very long at all.
That is because you can not just go from point A to point Z. A baby does not crawl 1 day and run the next, right? There are steps in between, steps that are required to ensure your success. By following, practicing and assessing your current standings on those four steps you can naturally and realistically transition from dieting to healthy living.
Mental Preparation
There are hardly any customs and behaviours we could change from one day to another, and our health and eating habits is definitely not among them. We're talking about undoing a life's worth of ideas, relationships and connection with food and exercise.
Your craving, okay demand for chocolate, your love of lasagna, your love of Brussels sprouts and almost all of their vegetable family, and of course the emotional connection we have with food. Most individuals don't find relaxation after a demanding day or inner turmoil in a bowl of brown rice with teriyaki tofu and fresh fruit for dessert, no it's bring on the mashed potatoes, gravy, fried chicken and pecan pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
And if you're the jock or the cheerleader in college or were the last one to get picked for groups, you have some positive or negative relationships with physical fitness. These associations, thoughts and beliefs are deeply ingrained and they aren't likely to give up their well rooted holds without a struggle. So you must begin the slow process of establishing healthy habits and developing a positive, health promoting mindset that will be open, welcoming and supportive of change in healthy eating, exercise and healthy living all around.
Accountability
The majority of the time we maintain our health aims to ourselves for two reasons #1 The Secret Before and After"I am not going to tell anyone about my plan to lose 20 pounds. Then completely take them for a loop with my fabulous transformation" or reason #2 Fear of Failure"If I say I will lose 20 lbs. By my birthday and I really don't everybody will know I am a failure and a loser". In both cases you're doing yourself a grave injustice, due to protecting yourself from reality and protecting yourself from criticism you're also depriving yourselves of support, encouragement and liability. And by not telling your own supportive, positive friends and family of your goals you're really avoiding responsibility, which you're reminded of each time you hear a well planned check-up question like"So how is the diet going?" Or"Have you begun eating more veggies and drinking more water instead of diet soda?" Or"Can you go to the gym like you said you would?
Reevaluate your Diet
Get real about your diet. All those sodas you consume, they've calories exactly like the sugar and milk you've got on your 5 cups of coffee daily. Again, this has to do without having a basic comprehension of how and where to begin rather than having a support system to hold you accountable. So make sure to do whatever is essential to lay that foundation for achievement. No one said that this was going to be easy, but getting honest and real about what you are doing wrong and then taking action to fix those bad habits, which includes asking for help, is an essential step.
Physical Activities
Though some physical activity is better than none, this is another area where we need a reality test. Eating while you are standing up does not burn off the calories of everything you are eating. Going on the treadmill for half an hour does not cancel out eating chocolate bar. If you enjoy the stationary bike as it is the best piece of gym equipment for studying, you need to stay home and read since you would probably burn the same number of calories.
Finding the most benefit from exercise requires work, maybe that is why it's called a workout, both emotionally and physically. If you're not prepared to make the commitment to a mindful session in which you give 100%, you are not getting as much out of your workouts as you think or desire, which means you are not seeing results, which contributes to frustration and giving up.
Find an activity you like, yes you can enjoy exercise when you discover something you prefer. If you do not like traditional gyms that is fine, there are many different things you can do enjoy dancing, running, fencing, hiking, tennis, swimming, boxing, roller/ice skating, bicycle riding and you know there's much more.
Engage in such activities 3-4 times per week. Be mindful and current when doing your physical activity, this means concentrating both in mind and body. Honor the fact that you've taken time from your day to do something good for your body and remember your target and what you would like to accomplish.

5 Ways To Develop A Healthy Lifestyle
Everybody requires some hints once and while, but if your health is at risk then the stakes go higher. However, your health doesn't have to be immediately threatened in order for it to be a fantastic idea for you to get serious about living in a more healthy manner. The majority of us know that drinking and smoking or consuming loads of junk food on the sofa are bad ideas, but there's more to being healthy than just this. In addition to finding ways to push your mind ahead, you need to work to enhance your physical body by doing a number of those five items, or even better, all five items, listed below:
Eat Healthy as Possible and Maintain Portions Reasonable
All of us know that fresh fruits and veggies are a good source of nutrition. We've grown up hearing about this, but a great deal of people complain that they are costly. Try shopping at a farmer's market or only purchasing the fruits and veggies that are on sale. Worried about them going bad in the fridge? Then go ahead and find the suspended or even canned varieties. Whatever it takes, get fruits and vegetables into your diet instead of only fruit flavored drinks or dried fruits on your cereal. In addition, keep your meats lean and prevent sugared drinks as soon as you're able to. Here's the thing, however, none of this is going to be quite as successful as actually controlling your portions. Keep portions as little as possible and keep your eating schedule routine. Some people today need four meals, some folks like only three and others favor several very tiny meals. Locate a routine and stick with it.
Stay Consistent with Exercise and Just Advance with Caution
Whatever commitment you make to exercising will have to be held constant. You want to be certain you follow your routine and don't psyche yourself out by setting goals that are too lofty or are only going to exhaust you or worse yet - hurt you. Be cautious when you proceed and don't push yourself when you can have a little step forward instead. Whether you would like to hit the gym, take up a martial art, swim laps at the pool, go for walks, or buy an at-home DVD workout program and stick with it. Consistent effort will provide you the results you need in a way that nothing else can compare to.
Get Loads of Sleep and Don't Starve Yourself
Folks get carried away trying to be a superhero and this is just not required. You don't need to be a gung ho Marine so as to get fit. You can stick to a sensible sleep program is effective for your biological rhythm and you're able to eat enough food to feel satisfied without going overboard. Starving does not help you or does trying to cram in a lengthy workout regimen when it cuts into a good night's rest. Take naps if you want to and you might have the ability to get more from your workout, too. Manage yourself or all the exercise advances aren't likely to have quite the same effects.
Maintain your Workouts Fun and Find a Partner If You Can
Nobody will keep doing mind numbing running routines if they despise them or will they keep up with any other physical pursuits. You need to engage your mind, even if this means getting video games designed to increase fitness since that is what interests you. Try to find someone else involved with you, but don't build your entire exercise regimen around them. You need someone to be with you for companionship, not because you rely on them. Also bear in mind that dogs create some of the best walking and walking partners around since they're always happy and ready to go. What truly matters here is consistency, because you can not simply practice healthy living sometimes and expect to benefit. Let us take a look at some crucial suggestions that can allow you to enjoy a healthier lifestyle.
Getting enough sleep makes a significant difference in how you feel. When you are often sleep deprived, it may be detrimental to a number of areas of your life. You can not perform your best in the workplace (or school) when you're tired. It might present a real danger when you're driving or doing anything that requires a high level of alertness. It can even boost your risk for a variety of ailments as time passes. Getting far more sleep usually means making conscious changes in your lifestyle. A good deal of things, like consuming coffee during the night or watching late night TV is frequently responsible. Some, however, have sleep problems that will need medical assistance.
Apart from needing physical activity, your body also benefits from being outside daily. If you do all your exercising in the gym, you still need to ensure you get some fresh air and sun. It does not have to be for long amounts of time. It is common nowadays for people to go from the office to the mall to the gym etc. Find excuses to go outside the home, whether it is a walk in the woods or just a walk around the area. If it's nice out, consider fun outdoor activities you may plan with friends or loved ones.
Research suggests that those who participate in activities they genuinely like are healthier and keep their mental alertness more efficiently as they become older. You will need a feeling of balance in your life, and this also includes time for yourself. Your favourite sport, pastime or curiosity could enrich your life a good deal. You ought to select a few activities that engage your body or mind in some helpful way. For many, free time is spent in front of the TV, which is a purely passive action. In case you're having trouble coming up with any ideas, try to recall what interested you as a kid or teen.

This is the reason you ought to focus on each area of your life, such as your diet, relationships, hobbies and exercise habits. It's also imperative that you remember to not take everything so seriously, seeing that understanding how to loosen up is among the most important facets of good health.

Okay, the big speech below doesn’t belong to me. It’s @paperrabbit13 who told that in our group chat with @jijii-production on insta when we were discussing @stumbling-while-balancing ‘s post about Keith in the season and how most of the fandom is reacting to him (bless that post. My thoughts put in coherent words) and my blue mama spoke :
You know what my odd opinion is on that Keith post.
It’s not that klance fans only care about lance more than Keith, it’s that the Keith fans within the fandom ARE LIKE KEITH, so they don’t speak up as much due to insecurities and their own personal mental state.
Take me and Jenn. Both Klance. But I love lance more and she loves Keith more... which one of us is often the louder one to speak.
Me.
I’ve met so many Keith fans and I’ve noticed that one common thread between them... they are all actually Keith
Other than that, I completely agree with that post. I’ve actually already spoken to others about how I views his BOM transition and how it reflects back on his consistent journey to find family while battling his inner self and self discovery. I could write an essay on it. (...)
The way I see Keith is the boy struggles with two major factors: mental struggles of acceptance in both family and self.
He wants family in whatever form he could find but he’s been damaged by fam before. His mother left him. I think dad may have too. He likely saw Shiro as a brother figure and then Shiro left him (multiple times) too. The boy pushes people away because he fears rejection yet he works so hard to be accepted cause that’s what he wants.
It’s a consistent battle for him.
With ep 1 it became the battle of found vs blood.
He made it a personal point to pick between his found family and the bloodline he comes from. They showed his mental battle between them two. It was a lose/lose situation for him.
Then all his decisions and everything he does falls back on his lack of self confidence. He doesn’t think he can be a leader cause he doesn’t trust himself. He doesn’t believe in him self. He did what lance said he was going to do for the team, but Keith is more headstrong and found a way out.
So he took it and is just trying to do what he thinks is right. Keith suffers from so much inner turmoil it drives all his decisions and how he sees the world.
Deep inside. Keith wants acceptance and people to love for. It’s why he almost died for the team. Cause in his mind, it’s better to leave the others alive and I won’t regret giving up my own.
*drops mic* my essay
It could be longer cause I can present a PowerPoint with screen shots and quotes as evidence, but I would need more time for that. I watched it once. That’s me only watching it once. It my writer self. I analyse the shit out of everything..
Also, I think this is a huge set up for Keith... cause I still don’t completely trust Shiro. Somewhere on a Galra shit there is a button that gets pushed and boom Shiro goes CRAZY.
Keith going to the BOM should lead to him maturing and growing... making him the leader of Voltron he thought he wasn’t. And what better time for him to step up then Shiro needing to be saved. Just... saying... that’s my big theory for Keith
So yeah that was it. and i just needed to share her words because damn she’s right. And i need to see more people opening their eyes
