I'm not sure Gojo has ever even shown an interest to any girls.
He calls Utahime weak and teases her by making fun of her, essentially- which she hates. Mei Mei is incredibly strong and beautiful, and Gojo acknowledges her skill but that's it. I also noticed that in the anime (the manga doesn't have honorifics, so please correct me if I'm wrong) but he calls her Mei-san rather than Mei Mei. Therefore, I don't think he ever tried to get much closer to her than the interactions we've seen. When she asks him if he'd comfort her if she cried, he tells her that's she strong- she wouldn't cry. I thought it was interesting that while Mei Mei's question was slightly flirty, Gojo answered so simply, without any teasing.
He calls Shoko by her first name, which is understandable since they spend more time together being in the same grade. He realizes that her ability is rare and useful, but like with Utahime and Mei Mei he doesn't go any further than that. He mostly speaks to her about work related things and doesn't flirt or tease much at all.
Honestly, I think Gojo actually respects his female colleagues and mostly pokes fun at Utahime because she's so uptight and strict. Shoko and Mei Mei are more relaxed and self-assured, and Gojo recognizes their skills and compliments them for it rather than teasing them. I doubt Gojo really thinks Utahime is truly weak more than he just loves riling her up. Other than that, Gojo's pretty respectful.
Also, in the Hidden Inventory arc, Gojo was bombarded with screaming from all the girls excited to see him. Other than pulling his shades down so they could see his face- after they asked him to, btw- he didn't really do much else. He didn't even react much to the teacher giving him her phone number. His only comment was "what a fun school," and it's interesting to see that while lots of girls do appreciate his looks, he acts only mildly amused.
Other than that one model as his wallpaper, we don't really see Gojo flirt or show interest with anyone. He only really teases Utahime to piss her off- I suspect he hates how much she follows the rules like Nanami does, who he teases often as well. He likely just enjoys annoying people so stern because rules just don't sit well with him (especially because of what those "rules" had done to Geto).
It's just a possibility, but he could be one of those guys who's more interested in work than pleasure- I know, he's handsome, but not all handsome people are players and cheaters. I think that's a horrible stigma and a lot of attractive people irl are judged and criticized solely for their looks. People make too many assumptions on someone just based on their genes, and I think it's pretty shallow to think Gojo's a womanizer just because he's attractive. And he knows he's attractive- but when did being confident in yourself make you a philanderer? Gojo has never used his looks manipulatively at all.
It's definitely a possibility that he would be a womanizer, but I'd say it's unlikely based in what we've seen. To sum it all up, Gojo doesn't show interest in anyone. He teases Utahime often, likely for the same reason be teases Nanami- they're too uptight. Shoko and Mei Mei are both incredibly skilled and beautiful sorcerers, and he does acknowledge and compliment them for it, but he doesn't tease or flirt with them. He's respectful, and he works with them as his colleagues. He didn't get distracted by the teen girls fawning over him either, or suddenly get overtly cocky or show off, only sliding his glasses down so they could see his face, and even then he acted only mildly amused. Also, when Miwa asked him for a picture, he didn't even stay and chat with her or anything (I know she's a minor, but if he truly was a womanizer, he would have at least stayed to hear her compliment him or anything to feed his ego) Maybe ask her "Oh, you want a picture with me? The strongest? How cute~" A flirty comment, a joke, something to fuel his own ego, but he doesn't do that. He doesn't act in a way that conveys he openly pursues attention from women. He just takes the picture with her and walks off casually.
Therefore, other than the fact that he's handsome- and I know many people who would assume things about someone based on their attractiveness, which is a terrible stereotype- Gojo doesn't show much interest in flirting at all. He could be the type of guy who works more than plays- and there's plenty of guys who are handsome but aren't super interested in playing around. Being handsome doesn't automatically mean he's the type to sneak around and have affairs here and there. It's completely realistic for a handsome man to be uninterested in any kind of relationships- not all men are sex crazed, and being a tease to his friends doesn't make Gojo a flirt either. Teasing your friends is perfectly normal.
Therefore, Gojo being a 28 year old virgin is totally possible- not everyone's a sex crazed teen who only thinks about what's between their legs, and basing it on what normal Japanese teens do is unfair. Neither Gojo or his lifestyle is exactly normal, and there's definitely barriers when it comes to experiencing normal youth activities for Gojo's generation- especially Gojo's generation. Yuji's generation definitely has more freedom to do fun things because of what Gojo has done to give the youth more freedom- things he hasn't been able to experience himself in his youth, like playing baseball during the exchange event. That was the first time they ever did something different to tradition, and that was only because of Gojo's consideration.
Gojo's youth was filled with blood, exorcising, and choosing between life and death. The deaths Yuji and co. witnessed were what Gojo experienced as well, if not worse. Gojo's task in his youth was to protect the weak, and he found that burdensome. At least, until Geto betrayed them, and Gojo realized the new burden he had to bear in changing the Jujutsu world because of what it had done to his only best friend.
There are definitely more important things in Gojo's mind than just losing his virginity, like saving people and choosing who to save, whether he should kill or not kill.
Gojo is the strongest, but he also bears the biggest burden- and that burden is something he chose to bear, and being the strongest is something he chose to be. Because before Geto left, it was "We are the Strongest." Now, Gojo worked tirelessly so that he could say "I am the Strongest."
And that's not something you can do while sleeping around. I think a lot of people fail to recognize just how hard Gojo works for himself and others. They just think, oh he's the strongest, so it should be easy for him. But it's really, really not that simple, is it? Especially when you have to do it on your own, and even then Gojo realizes that his strength alone isn't enough to save people. He can't save everyone by himself- It's not enough for just him to be the Strongest, so he works diligently to build and inspire his students to stand with him.
He's actually a very deep and emotional man who cares about his students and especially, even now, his best friend. Everything he does is for their sake- he sacrifices the normal life he could have lived, like Nanami had done, for their sake. And he fights with the higher ups, takes the brunt of their ire, and laughs it off, acting as if he fine, like a dad pretending he's superman for his kid's sake. But Gojo is burdened, and he's tired, and he hardly sleeps, and he has the most missions- he's the Strongest, which means everyone needs him, and he bears it.
Sorry for ranting again tho. I think I went into two different topics lol oops- 🤔
OUR SAVIOR 🤔 EDUCATING PEOPLE pay attention ya'll another thing I've noticed in the latest episode is that in his phone contacts he actually writes Utahime's name properly like formally no emojis or teasing shit he actually sees them as his colleagues people he can rely on his field of work and yes about the whole thing when he bursted into riko's class man was absolutely clueless just silent as a teacher tries to give him his number. I'm pretty sure as a child Gojo wasn't allowed to attend public schools due him being in danger or putting others in danger so he doesn't know much about public schools or normal people in general since he spends all his time with people from the jujutsu society.
That is definitely true just because someone is good looking that doesnt mean he's some cheap womanizer. I see a lot of people shipping him and Utahime together which is understandable ship who you like but I don't think Gojo as any ulterior motives like wooing Utahime by teasing her he just is plainly teasing ya know like friends do but in this case Utahime hates his guts and he doesnt know. I mean it takes some amount of hate to try to throw hot tea at someone 😂
While certainly I agree Gojo's teen like wasn't the best it was like he literally had a full time job at that age but who's to stay he didn't go messing around one time? I'm sure during his teen days he wanted to experience things he didnt get to to but now could because he lives on his own now. But maybe he didnt at all who knows? Which also raises another question, I wonder if he has any romantic experiences? And this was all before what happened in the hidden inventory arc after that I can see him more becoming invested in his duty and with what happened with geto as well would of definitely had a huge impact on him to try harder even though hes the strongest so that the next generation wouldn't have to experience the things he went through.
It's really sad if you really think about it what hes been through and what he has to shoulder all while keeping the facade that he's okay, I bet there were times he cursed his powers and his life....but he bears with it anyways because everyone is counting on him....
And don't be sorry at all! I am actually really learning alot about Gojo from you. Please continue to tell us your thoughts and feelings. I don't mind at all ❤ and thank you for taking the time to write

Just What I Needed
A/N: This might be a little confusing, but this fic takes place in 1987. Roger is 38 and Axl is 25. I changed the ending of the fic from the request. It kinda just went where it went. I may turn this into a series, let me know if I should. I have a few more requests that I’m gonna try and get done before the end of the week. Requests are open, so don’t be afraid to send them in. I would love to get feedback or whatever. If you want to be added to the taglist just ask. Hope you guys enjoy.
*~~~~~*
Masterlist
Roger Taylor x Reader/ Axl Rose x Reader
Part Two / Part Three
Requested by: Anonymous
Request: Hey! So I had this idea some time ago, hope you can do it. I know you will have to mix timelines to make it make sense, but what would happen if Roger or Bri (aware of reader’s feelings) had taken the reader for granted until Axl Rose tries to make a move on her during a party or whatever. Rog/Bri gets really mad because suddenly is afraid of losing the reader. Lots of fluff at the end, please. Btw, I love your writing.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
The studio was buzzing with life as Y/n walked in. It often amazed her how full of life the building could get during the day and how silent it would become at night. The difference in time was astonishing, making her fall in love with the art of music. It had a way of bringing out colors and feelings that weren’t present when the sound was turned off. That’s what it did to the studio and her heart.
Y/n took a seat on the couch, watching Roger play the drums. He did it with such power and certainty, it was unbelievable that sometimes he would screw up. She sighed, trying not to stare but that’s all she could ever do around him.
It was a horrible thing to admit, she knew it, but she loved the man. There was no way to pin down exactly what it was about him. It seemed to be everything and nothing all at once. Sometimes it was his smile, others it was his personality, and then there were those rare moments where it was nothing but the ora surrounding him.
Not only was it a horrible thing to love him, seeing as how he was 18 years her senior, but it was stupid. She could see it plain as day. Though he wasn’t married, he practically was. Dominique was still in the picture and Y/n was also aware that a few other women were as well. So her love for the drummer was stupid and foolish. He simply couldn’t stay with one woman long enough and the only reason that he was still with Dominique was because they had kids. Those poor kids who had to grow up knowing that their parents didn’t really love each other. It was a shame, but she loved him anyway.
That, to her, was the funny thing about love. She knew that her feelings were useless, nothing would really come of them. It wasn’t like her and Roger would ever be involved, yet she still loved him. Hopeless love, it seemed. But each and everyday, she felt that same spark when he was around no matter how much she tried to suppress it.
Y/n was snapped out of gaze when Roger stood from the drums and walked into the room. He gave Y/n a quick smile, one that was always thrown her way ever since he found out about her feelings, before turning to John.
“How did that sound? Cause I’m not doing that again,” he stated with a chuckle.
John shrugged, a playful smile growing on his face. “One or two more times should do it.”
Roger shook his head, his short blonde locks flying out of place. “Then you can do it, Deacon.” He extended his drum sticks to the man as a joke, taking them back when John wasn’t interested. He then plopped on the couch next to Y/n.
As much as she wanted to scootch away, create a barrier that she felt was needed around him, she found that she couldn’t. He had her wrapped around his finger and everyone knew it. It was obvious.
Roger threw an arm around her shoulder, pulling her close her.
“Roger,” she whispered, trying to move away. “Not here.”
He laughed, vibrating against her. “Why not? They already know.”
Y/n rolled her eyes, giving in to his sweet voice.
They already knew.
She hated that. Y/n felt like eyes were always on her, giving her dirty looks when her back was turned. Try as she might to escape them and escape the drummer before a scandal broke out, nothing worked. She was Queen’s assistant and they not only needed her but loved her. They would probably crash and burn without her there to keep them in line. Though they weren’t as wild as they used to be, it wasn’t hard for them to go off the rails every now and then. She was quite like an anchor to them, so any time she tried to resign, no one would have it. Freddie would tell her how they would be lost without her, Brian and John would tell her that nothing they did would be the same without her there, and Roger would always tell her that she would miss them too much to stay away for long.
It was a horrible situation to be in.
All she wanted was the best for them. She truly did love each of them, but she felt that if she stayed things would... get weird. Her feelings for Roger wouldn’t disappear anytime soon, but his would. He was always going after the next best thing. So, he would be interested in her for a while until a prettier woman was to come along. And Y/n didn’t think she could deal with that pain. Not when she would have to see him almost every day. That was pain she didn’t want to go through in front of prying eyes. That pain would change everything, she knew it.
Y/n was too caught up in her thought, something that was becoming a reoccurrence, to notice that Roger was talking to her.
“Y/n.”
She blinked, turning to him. A serious look plastered on his face. “Yeah?”
He rolled his eyes, a small laugh escaping. He looked at her like she was some child. The same way he looked at his own children. It was sickening. But she was young and naive, making looks like that normal, but she didn’t want to receive them from him. “Were you listening?”
“No,” she sang, “Sorry, what were you saying?”
He folded his arms across his chest. “I don’t think you deserve to know, seeing as how you weren’t paying the slightest attention.”
Y/n rolled her eyes, pouting a little, something that always made him give in. “Fine.”
“Now, don’t look so down,” he told her. “I’ll tell you.”
She perked up, repositioning herself so that her body was almost turned completely towards him, his arm still wrapped around her shoulders. “Alright, let’s hear it then.”
“The boys and I have been invited to a party in L.A. by one of our friends,” he began. “Seeing as how Freddie is a partier, there is no way we could turn down the offer.”
Try as she must to understand, she simply couldn’t. Freddie may have been the life of the party, but Y/n wasn’t even close to that. So, she wasn’t sure why Roger was even telling her about it. They were grown men, who were all smart enough to pack their own bags and get to the airport. There was nothing they needed her to do. Y/n raised a brow, “Is that it?”
“No. I was thinking that I won’t have nearly as much fun Freddie will, so maybe you should come with me. It will be a blast. What do you say?”
She swallowed, unsure of what to say. What about Dominique? What about the press? If she went with him, people were bound to ask questions. Most assistants never got the chance to leave their office, let alone go to a party halfway around the world. It would be more than odd if she were to go with them and even odder if she hung around Roger the whole time. He may have not cared about what the public had to say, but she did.
The logical answer to his question was obviously no, but logic had been thrown out the window a long time ago. “Sounds like fun,” she replied. “When do we leave?”
*~~~~~*
Music was blaring, encasing Y/n in a layer of noise. The idea of going to the party was great at the beginning before she had even arrived, but now it was the last thing she wanted to do. Everything was too loud, overloading her sense, and people were way too close for comfort. She enjoyed having her space, but here, in the middle of a crowded room, she got none of that. It didn’t help matters that the one person that was supposed to guide her around had disappeared into the crowd.
Y/n sighed, trying her best to slip between people to get to the bar. She needed something to take the edge off. Parties had never been her thing. She was always that good kid. Her grandmother never had to worry about her sneaking out, doing drugs, drinking, or getting pregnant. She was the good Catholic girl that she had always wanted, seeing as how her brothers were the exact opposite. Y/n was her little piece of heaven, always trusting that she would stay out of trouble. And she did. Even in university, she was good about sticking to her studies. She needed to graduate to get a good job. There was no way she was going to fail as her grandmother had spent so much money on her education. So, parties were always out of the picture.
At least ones like the one she was at.
Once at the bar, she took a seat at one of the bar stools. It would be better for everyone if she just stayed put and out of the way. There was the chance that she would have to drag a drunk Roger back to his hotel room, so she was gonna try and stay out of as much of the chaos as she could manage. She flagged the bartender down, smiling when the woman stopped in front of her.
“What can I get ya?”
Y/n thought for a moment, she didn’t really trust herself around alcohol. Well… she didn’t trust others around her when alcohol was involved. “Wine.”
The woman nodded, her braid whipping around. “Any particular kind?”
“Surprise me.”
With that the woman was out of sight, going to fetch whatever wine she could get her hands on.
Y/n drummed her fingers against the bar, looking around at everyone having the time of their lives. She wished she could be more like them. More carefree and less uptight. God, how life would probably be more fun. She would probably spend less time stressing over the smallest of things and have a larger social group than just people involved with Queen. Maybe she would travel more, get a job that didn’t involve taking care of people. Being a personal assistant was never on the top of her dream jobs list.
She wasn’t allowed to daydream much longer as there was a tap on her shoulder. Turning around, her eyes landed on a young man, maybe around her age, with long red hair.
“Is this seat taken?” he asked her with a small smile.
She shook her head. “No, it’s all yours.”
He took a seat, turning to face her, with a curious look on his face. “You’re British?”
Y/n laughed, nodding just as the bartender set a glass of white wine in front of her. “Well, not really.”
The man shook his head, “Sorry, I guess I should have introduced myself before asking questions,” he confessed. “Axl Rose.” He held his hand out for her to take.
“Y/n Y/l/n.” She grabbed his hand, giving it a firm shake.
Y/n grabbed her glass of wine, smelling it before putting it to her lips. It wasn’t the type she would have normally chosen, but she was glad that it was the one picked out for her. She needed to try new things and why not do that in a whole new setting?
Axl ordered his drink in the time it took her to set her glass down. When he was finished ordering, he turned back to Y/n. “So, you’re British but not really.”
Y/n let out a laugh, nodding. “I guess you could put it that way. Technically, I’m American, so are my parents, but I was raised by my grandmother in England,” she told him.
“That’s interesting. This you’re first time here?”
She shook her head. “In L.A., yeah. But I used to visit my aunt almost every summer in Texas.”
The conversation just went on from there. She told him about her favorite places to go in London and he told her about what he liked about L.A. He asked about what she did for a living and she asked about what made him become a musician. Whether they intended for it to become a deep conversation or not, that’s where it lead.
Y/n tried not to think too much about it, but she couldn’t help but think that she had never had conversations like that with Roger. Never in the time that she had worked for Queen, had she ever had a real conversation with him. He had no clue that she was raised by her grandmother or that she was American. All he knew about her was the small things that everyone else knew. He knew about as much as he cared to know, which it seemed was nothing at all.
It was weird how open Y/n was with someone that was a complete stranger. Well… they weren’t really strangers anymore. It seemed that with alcohol racing through their veins, they spilled their whole life stories. It was odd, but Y/n felt something she hadn’t felt before. She couldn’t put a name to the feeling, just that it was foreign. Axl made her feel something… something that brought about butterflies, but not the nerves that often came with them. Just a fluttering feeling that made her feel free of whatever had once bound her. Roger never made her feel like that. Her feelings for him often felt like dead weight. Something she had to drag around with her all day, every day. It didn’t help that she would often beat herself up over feeling that way.
It was refreshing to feel light as a feather.
“Did you come alone?” Axl asked, the bartender sliding a new drink in front of him.
Y/n sighed, thinking back to the man she had arrived with. Just thinking about him made her want to scrunch her nose up in disgust.  “No.”
“Are you gonna leave with him?”
Looking around the crowded room, Y/n couldn’t pick Roger out anywhere. He had probably gone off with some woman that had planned from the beginning to leave with a man. “No,” she drawled, once she was sure Roger or any of the boys weren’t in sight.
“You wanna leave with me?”
Y/n didn’t need him to ask again. “Hell, yes.”
With that, Axl took her hand, both hopping off the bar stools and making their way through the crowd.
*~~~~~*
Y/n rubbed her eyes as she entered the room that the boys shared during their stay. Her head was pounding from all the wine she had consumed. She couldn’t remember the last time she had drank so much. Thinking about it, she probably hadn’t drank that much before. Walking fully into the room, she smiled at John and Brian.
“There you are. We thought we had lost you,” Brian admitted
She waved it off, not wanting to bring up what she got into after the party. They probably wouldn’t think very highly of her for it. “Well, here I am.”
John opened his mouth to say something, maybe ask where she had gone off to or if she enjoyed the party before Roger walked in. He looked angrier than a bull chasing a clown, smoke was practically blowing out of his ears. He didn’t even have to say anything, John and Brian understood enough, both taking their leave.
It was just Y/n and Roger as the hotel room door shut behind them. Y/n bit her lip, unsure what was going on. Roger had no reason to be mad about her leaving with Axl. It wasn’t like Roger had been around to leave with her. And why would he even care what she did?
“So, did you enjoy the party?” she asked in an attempt to break the ice.
“Yeah, probably not as much as you did.” His voice was like venom when it hit her ears, something she hadn’t expected.
Y/n rolled her eyes, as much as he was trying to hurt her, she couldn’t understand why. He didn’t own her. “What does that mean, Roger?”
He folded his arms in front of him, “You know what I don’t understand?”
She didn’t respond, as silence filled the air, he was bound to tell her.
“I don’t understand how you can love me yet sleep with that, that drugged up excuse for a musician!”
Y/n let out a sigh, trying to stay calm. She was not going to give in to this childish behavior. Not when he had every chance to love her back or make her feel wanted. “That may be so, but I can’t seem to understand how you can love every girl at once but none at all at the same time! And you may see him as a drugged up excuse for a musician but at least he has yet to lead me on like you have!”
Roger groaned, throwing his hands in the air. “What am I supposed to do, Y/n? You act as if you don’t want to be seen with me!”
Taking a deep breath, she tried to keep her voice steady as she said, “Maybe that’s because you don’t know what commitment is. You haven’t been loyal to Dominique, now have you? You haven’t been loyal to any of the woman you have been in a relationship with.” She paused, tears were on the verge of spilling. “How can I be seen with you when you’re cheating on all the other woman in your life? How can I be in a relationship with you if you do nothing but cheat?”
She waited for an answer but he gave none. She nodded, there was no way he could answer either question. Y/n knew him like the back of her hand. She knew the dirty things he did and there was no way he could get around it. She may still love him, but she was no longer blind to his behavior or intentions.
Turning from him, she wiped a tear away. “Goodbye, Roger.”
Y/n slipped out of the room, tears rolling down her cheek. She let out a sob as she walked down the hall.
“This is just what I needed,” she muttered, wrapping her arms around herself.
As much as it hurt, she knew that loving him was wrong. It was from the start. Last night, it had been eye-opening. She was no longer blind, she could see the world in bright colors. The dead weight that she had carried with her for so long was now gone as she walked down the hall. It was replaced with relief. She no longer felt like a caged bird. What she would do now was a mystery, but she knew that she couldn’t go back to working for Queen. She needed time.
Maybe L.A. would give her that.

Camless Episode 4
(gif credit: winifred-burkle)
It’s a landmark episode and not a lot happens, as always.  If they didn’t have the fact it was the 100th episode to talk about, they’d pretty much have nothing at all.  Another episode without bringing up Terror (yay!), another episode without sex or a titty shot (shock!), another episode where we learn nothing about wtf is going on with Ian (yawn).  I HAD thought the show had managed to wrap up 3 storylines, but then I saw spoilers online last night that would indicate at least 2 of them will go on :(  Spoilers and not much else under the cut.
Ian got the “here’s what you missed” again this week, which I’m taking as another sign Cam is nearing the swan song ;)  But, ugh,the opening wasn’t funny-or understandable-at all.  Cam’s standing in front of a busload of extras they must’ve bussed in from a local Chicago school of modeling to portray Gay Jesus supporters, he’s wearing his “God Loves Fags” T shirt and says, “What the fuck were you doing last week that was more important than watching Shameless?  Protesting homophobia and bigotry?  Damn right you were.”  WTF?  If people weren’t watching Shameless last week they were exercising good taste, not “protesting” somewhere at 9 PM on a Sunday-or does he mean not watching this shit show is a protest against homophobia and bigotry?  That actually does make sense.  I apologize ;P
Liam  Whatever the point was of aging him and doing a time jump after Monica died went out the window last night when Liam is approached by some public school teachers about his placement for the next school year.  Liam is afraid he’s going to be kept back, but they assure him it’s the opposite, they want to move him up.  He asks if he’ll be put in 3rd grade, but they say they want to try him in 6th.  But if Liam thought skipping a grade would put him in 3rd, that means currently he’s in 1st and the oldest that would make him right now is 7.  The fuck?  The only reason I’m talking about any of this is because that’s how lame the show is now.
Carl  Lip FINALLY says something to him about the dogs smelling up the whole house.  And then shockingly Ian and Carl have a conversation about the dogs too-and West Point.  But of course this is the year of the Gallagher house seeming weird and creepy, so the conversation takes place with a very catatonic-like Ian sitting on the basement steps in weird shadows whilst Carl feeds the dogs.  The brotherly convo goes like this: Ian: Sure they wouldn’t have been better off if you just gassed them like you were supposed to? Carl: I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I: How are you going to order men (note to JW-women can serve in the armed forces now too, even in combat) to kill the enemy if you can’t put down a couple of old dogs?  That’s what officers do-order men (!!!) to kill.  What did you think they were gonna teach you at West Point?  Marching cadences? C: Is that what Gay Jesus would do? I: What, kill old dogs?  Hell no, Gay Jesus is all about inclusion and grace, but you’re not looking to get into heaven.  You want to lead lean mean murdering machines.  (DID ANYONE EVER THINK THAT WAS IAN’S GOAL IN GOING TO WEST POINT?  LEADING KILLING MACHINES TO THEIR DEATHS?  I HATE YOU, JOHN WELLS!)  If you can’t kill a couple of old dogs might be the time to start considering teaching kindergarten?  Nursing school?
On that note, he gets up and walks away.  Let me interject another rant here-since WHEN is Ian this insensitive sexist jerk who would think of jobs/careers in terms of things real men do vs. traditionally (in the dark ages) “feminine” jobs?  John Wells is a fucking dinosaur that needs to be educated-fucking teaching and nursing jobs are as difficult as soldiering, plus these days they’re expecting teachers to start protecting classrooms with weapons.  He’s such a dumb fuck!
And also-I bet this is the only time Ian will speak to Carl about West Point and we’ll never know how he truly felt about watching Carl grasp at the dream he once had.  Way to blow the opportunity.
There’s a whole stupid side story about Carl and the kid who originally was getting the West Point letter of recommendation.  In another add it to the list of “read the room, school kids arranging to shoot each other isn’t funny, you fucking out of touch white males” plots, Carl needs to get his “killing mojo” back so he goes to visit a local veteran.  I can’t even begin to guess if Wells was trying to make some commentary about PTSD or if he was just using the poor guy for laughs (this is Shameless, as they love to remind us, so I’m guessing Wells was just going for yuks).  The show makes its at least THIRD joke using tattoos as a punchline, and-just like with Mickey and Ian-it fails to be funny.  Get new material, you untalented hack!  Sorry I keep yelling at John Wells-what a waste if he’s not actually reading this ;)
In Carl’s showdown with the other kid, Wells turns that kid into a poetry-spouting “pansy” at the last second.  The kid can’t bring himself to shoot Carl, so he shoots himself in the thigh saying his warmonger dad can’t make him enlist in the Marines now even if he’s not going to West Point.  I’m sitting at home wondering if the idiot nicked his femoral artery and is about to bleed out.  Carl says the self inflicted wound is just a flesh wound and they’ll be able to tell, so the kid starts blabbering poetry and Carl shoots him in the other thigh to shut him up.  The kid thanks him and Carl walks away.   Now I’m convinced that second shot had to hit the femoral artery and no one’s calling 911 and I bet the kid dies and Carl’s path to West Point is now strewn with his body and Kassidi’s.
Debbie  I can’t...I’ll try, I’ll try to be brief, because it’s all meaningless.  After spending one night together, Alex says they should live together (because that’s what ALL wacky lesbians do, they move right in), and Debs says yes.  They get to have a cute domestic breakfast scene that by rights should’ve gone to Mickey and Ian, but I digress.  Debbie goes out and buys “lesbian” outfits, which to me just seemed like they were making fun of HER-of course she’s going to hit the mall, she’s just a teenager!  She doesn’t have to be the spokeswomen of lesbians everywhere.  This show has a knack of mocking the wrong things at the wrong times.  It’s their shitty writing, not teen spending habits, that’s ridiculous here.
The next time we see them, they’re in bed again, and Alex is filling Debbie in on her past serious relationships, and then Wells gives Debbie a speech about all the dudes she slept with and it’s so much more cringe-worthy thinking about the fact he wrote it.  Plus it’s another “relationship retcon” speech since Debbie doesn’t mention that every other time she’s had sex it was a form of rape.  Matty (who Wells has Debbie say had a “big dick”) wasn’t conscious (and, btw, John, a 12 year old virgin-which is the oldest Debbie could’ve been at the time with all your screwing around with her still being 16 last year-wouldn’t be all that enthusiastic about “big dicks” for her very 1st time), Derrick (who she lied to about birth control-if he had slipped off a condom right before entering her that would be rape and this case is also-Wells says he had a great body and really knew what he was doing), and the guy she crossed state lines with who was obviously over 21 if he could rent a hotel room in Missouri, PLUS she was drugged and unable to give consent-that dude’s a two for!  Debbie doesn’t mention him, since she can’t remember him, I guess.  She brings up Neil, but says being with him was just financial (she doesn’t bother to say he just watched while she did things to herself.  But hey, if they had had sex, that would’ve been another case of statutory!)  Anyway, then Wells has Debbie spout off about what having sex with another “girl” is like and Alex gets more and more dejected.  She’s just now seeing that Debbie’s not gay?  We’re supposed to feel sorry for her?  When in the previous episode which SEEMS to have taken place the day before (or a couple of weeks, tops, if you’re going by Liam’s time line) Alex said right out loud that she knew Debbie was straight?  WHY IS THIS SHOW SO DUMB?  We haven’t gotten to know Alex well enough to have sympathy for her regardless, but they made the point of letting us know she KNEW going in Debbie is straight.  And of course in John Wells’ world, there’s no such thing as bisexuals, so...
Deb and Alex “break up” (who cares?) and I thought that would be the end of Alex and Debbie’s gay storyline, but no-sounds like they’re going to be the new Ian and Terror-next week “Debbie tries to repair things with Alex” according to Spoiler TV.  NOOOOO!  I wanted that to be one of my three wrapped up storylines!
Debbie comes back into the Gallagher kitchen, dragging her baby carriage and pillow with her and crying her heart out.  None of the siblings appear very concerned-this is the new Shameless, a bunch of strangers occasionally bumping into each other.  The biggest “shocker” of the scene is the family is eating Popeye’s instead of KFC.  Another jolt that we don’t even know these people anymore, LOL.
Lip  I can’t...I just don’t understand the motivation to try to make Xan part of his life when he doesn’t seem to be bonding with her in the least.  He asks her if she’d want to stay with him if her mom never comes back-but doesn’t tell the kid why HE wants her to stay or ask Xan why she would want to stay when she says okay.  The story is hollow and no one seems to try to be filling it with any substance.
There’s a couple of scenes at the motorcycle shop and it’s so obvious Lip and Brad have no idea what they’re doing-they always just grab wrenches and poke at bike parts with them.  Last night Lip kept using the ratchet wrench-I think JAW must like the noise it makes.
Lip sells the bike he restored to get money to buy parental rights from Xan’s mom, and it’s just creepy?  Why would the mom know to trust him?  I’m still not even convinced WE should trust him-sharing a room with her is creepy af.  Anyway, Xan comes running up when Lip’s trying to get the mom to make the deal (and why is Xan out unsupervised in the middle of the night on a dark South Side street?  Even if she did “just” sneak out to look for her mom, this is a clear example that Lip isn’t father of the year, that he’s not meeting the bare minimum requirements as a guardian), and the mom drops to hug Xan because it’s the 100th episode and these two characters we barely know should get the big emotional scene?  Anyway, Lip drops the check and runs, overwhelmed by an actual show of emotion, no doubt.  THIS was the 2nd storyline I was hoping would be over, but then TMZ reported that the actress who plays Xan has been signed for Season 10.  Which, BTW, still hasn’t been officially announced and that just seems weird that they haven’t.  What is Showtime waiting for?
Fiona  Ugh, she was worse than ever this week.  Can’t believe these are her waning days-it truly seems like Wells is out to punish her.  Fi is on the toilet as Bored brushes his teeth.  Fiona goes right from flushing to brushing her teeth WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS.  It was so gross-I hope next episode she and Bored have pink eye and mouth thrush.  (Fi also touches her lip after putting on lipstick-still without the benefit of soap.)  They still have no fucking chemistry, and they start talking about the election which of course they don’t see eye to eye on.  Then Fi goes to Patsy’s for the first time in forever and Wells gets to recycle the Fi vs Ian fight over gentrification from last season by having Fi on the opposite side of Frank’s candidate, although they don’t bother to give us any face-to-face interaction.  Which is just fine, since the election storyline was boring and weak anyway.
Fi is a total...I don’t even know the word-what do you call a boss who doesn’t allow their workers their freedom as voters?  She tells the waitresses to take off their buttons supporting their candidate and that there can be “no electioneering” at the workplace, but puts up a poster for her guy and offers free pie to anyone who puts on one of his buttons.  Would she ever really be that clueless and such a bully?  Does anyone care anymore?
Later, Fiona goes to the Alibi and has a conversation with Vee where she basically says, “This is what Ford is telling me to think this week...”  Fiona says she wants to vote for the guy against rent control, the businessman  And Vee points out that “the businessman” in Washington isn’t working out too great.  Ooh, Shameless, rushing in with the timely political commentary!  (There will be more too, ugh.)
When Fi shows up at her (or a?) polling place, there’s a rumble going on and Wells has her throw one punch to show us she’s still “South Side”, I guess.  It was gratuitous.  It did not remind us of the show’s glory days, it was a thrown in pointless moment that was so outrageously just tacked on.
In Fiona’s final scene this week, Bored walks into the apartment building with his massive wooden toolbox reminding us he’s a massive tool, and Fiona tells him how she changed her vote, they kiss, and women’s rights are set back another 100 years.  Oh, and Bored still squints A LOT delivering his lines.  Emmy seems to open hers even wider, probably unconsciously trying to get the other actor to at least try to keep his open once in a while...
Veronica and Kevin  There was some more truly awful “rape jokes” this week. Rape is never going to be funny, and with the week this country suffered through last week-plus the fact that it’s still ongoing-I really wish they had just deleted all the Alibi scenes.  Kev makes up a scoreboard or bingo sheet (it isn’t clear) of all the “types” of rapey behavior that can now be shorthanded into a celebrity’s name.  I won’t even justify the “joke” with some examples.  And then KEVIN becomes a sought-after consultant to make other South Side bars less rapey because he’s the white man running the Alibi and Vee is...not.
Frank is in the episode more than I’m going to talk about, but suffice it to say I do truly believe his election storyline is over (one out of three is not good enough, Shameless!  Wrap up the boring shit that’s going nowhere and do something with the other shit that’s also going nowhere!)   Mo wins the election, and Wells has a reporter say it’s because voters were afraid to say they were bigots in polls.  Which again, this show is too narrow to try to address larger issues-if that’s Wells’ theory why Trump won, it doesn’t explain how “bigoted voters” elected Obama twice.  Try making the world a better place, Wells.  Yes, there is racism and idiot bigotry here, but there was just something smug about how he justified his fictional political outcome.  There was a scene where Frank’s asking some of the Gallaghers if they’re voting-Carl says he’s too young, Lip says he’s not registered, and Ian says, “What’s the point?”  And that pissed me off too, because we’re having Gay Jesus shoved down our throats, but then Wells seems to be saying Ian won’t bother to vote and would rather blow shit up.  Again, the kid that ORIGINALLY had the dream to serve his country by going to West Point.  And fucking Lip-what, he’s too “smart” to think voting matters?
(Also in that scene, Ian was eating peanut butter toast, but still no sign of his pill bottles.  Cam actually took a bite of the toast, if that type of dedication to his craft matters to anyone.)
The post credits “joke” was a pedo joke about Mo.  Fuck you, John Wells.
The only thing Frank was good for this week was to lead us back to Mickey’s house.  As so often with this show, I have to forget context (good thing I’ve had plenty of practice, I guess?) and I will fully admit that when I saw Mickey’s little castle of a house I teared up a little.  It was like seeing an old friend.
But then of course they had to ruin it by Frank knocking on the door, we hear Terry yelling and hitting a dog named Adolf (they put a yelp in and everything) and Terry opens the door wielding a baseball bat that brought Negan and Jeffery Dean Morgan to mind-I hope that was a shout out to him.  The bat had nails in embedded in it instead of barbed wire, but close enough.  Best not to imagine how much cooler the show might have been with JDM instead of Sean, sigh.
A much funnier joke than anything they did give us about Mo White would’ve been to have Frank ask Terry, “Still have a connection with Russians?  I have an election to rig.”
Finally we get to Ian but just because he had more screen time this week doesn’t mean we’re any closer to knowing anything.  And I was going to bust Cameron for acting very sleepy and out of it in all of his scenes, but then I realized that’s pretty much how all the Gallagher kids actors have been acting, except for Fiona (and I’d say she’s trying too hard sometimes.  There’s also been lots of scenes so far where it seems like she’s phoning it in-but of course they’re giving her shit to do).
Anyway, things this episode start in the Gallagher kitchen, Ian groans when he sees the coffee’s all gone, and says he’s not sleeping-he got too used to all the noise in jail, it’s too quiet here.  Well, bitch, the house was always lively when the Milkovich siblings were there too, work on getting them back...
Lip asks him if he met his public defender yet and Ian says Geneva and the Gay Jesus donors got him a lawyer, “rich, queer, too much time on his hands since same sex marriage got fixed.”  Um, why is Ian sounding so put out with the guy without even meeting him?  What’s this superiority complex?
Later Ian walks into GJ church HQ and he’s limping, but I don’t think it’s a continuity error, I think they probably just had him film scenes out of order that day and I think he went a little too hard, LOL.  Anyway, the GJ kids applaud and Geneva hugs him-she’s into it, he’s not.  At the HQ they’re making silk screen shirts with Ian’s face and Gay Jesus signs.  Geneva is once again spouting out statistics, saying how wildly popular the movement is, 77,000 followers in the past five days-One Direction at their height was gaining popularity around the globe like that, not this Gay Jesus shit.  Ian doesn’t seem to be listening too closely to what she’s spewing, and when two body-builder women walk by he asks Geneva who they are.  She says they’re part of the lesbian legion from an MMA gym and adds, “Your gays turned out to be too sweet to handle security.”  Whatever-they keep trying to act like there’s all this dynamic action happening off screen-NO ONE CARES since all we ever see is Ian moping around, looking like Cameron has a headache.
Next time we see Ian he’s walking around outside in his red kicks (really wish we knew the significance of those-are they supposed to be like Jesus’ sandals?  What happened in the cut scene where he left them in the aisle last season?  I only want to know because the show seems to think they mean SOMETHING)-anyway, where’s Ian going?  Why?  We’re never told-great storytelling this ain’t, kids.  A van slows up next to him and a guy leans out and says, “You’re Ian, right?  Gay Jesus?”  How did the guys in the van know where Ian would be walking?  Do they just circle the Gay Jesus church hoping he’ll come out?  Again, we’ll never know.  The guy continues, “I’ve been watching your videos with my friends.  The burning vans, the sermons-it’s inspiring.”  Ian says thanks.  The guy says, “You really think that’s what Jesus was teaching?”  Ian says, “Inclusion, love, acceptance for all?  Yeah, absolutely.”  Then the van guy says, “You don’t think God sees homosexual bestiality as a sinful perversion of His divine creations?”  Ian’s confused, says, “What?”, sees the sliding panel door of the van open, and takes off running, jumping over fences and at some point in his getaway, pulling some muscle in his tight jeans.
Next time we see Ian he’s sitting alone in the Gallagher kitchen nursing a beer and his thigh.  (No Bible this time-no sign of his pills either.)  Lip comes in and asks him if he’s okay and Ian says he maybe pulled a hamstring running from homophobes.  Lip says, “I guess there’s nothing new about that, right?” and you wonder just when he stopped caring so completely about his brother.
Ian doesn’t bother to answer, sips his beer instead.  After a minute he quietly asks Lip, “Think you could do hard time?” Lip: In prison?  Uh...rather not.  I: Gay Jesus kids don’t want me to cop a plea.  Want me to take it to trial.  Get as much publicity for the cause as I can. L: What’s your lawyer say? I: Could be looking at 10-15 if I don’t take a deal.  (Me at home, screaming at the TV: WHAT ARE THE CHARGES?  WHY CAN’T THEY EVER TELL US ANYTHING?  WHAT ARE THEY SAYING YOU DID THAT’S ON PAR WITH MICKEY’S BULLSHIT ATTEMPTED 2ND DEGREE MURDER SENTENCE????)
Lip, rather than saying ANYTHING to the brother he’s closest to about maybe not giving up his entire young adulthood to a cause, not saying something like, “You’d be older than the real Jesus got to live till by the time you get out”, not saying if he thinks Ian’s an idiot if he’s even questioning doing hard time in a bad place, no, rather than that, he takes his coffee out of the microwave and comes around the counter to the same side as Ian and says, “You ah, hearing from Shim again?” I: Sometimes.  (Me at home: WHAT?  WHEN?  What does that look like when it happens?) L: Well, what does Shim think? I: Unclear.  (Oh, Ian, are you kidding me?  All this time you thought you were talking to god but you’ve just been playing with a Magic 8 Ball?) L: Xan’s mom showed up today.  (Guess we’re done talking about Ian then!)  She’s a junkie.  Hookin’... I: What are you going to do? L: I don’t know. I: Maybe you should try asking Shim. L: Maybe.
End scene.  So again, we get tantalizingly close to a discussion about what might be going on inside Ian’s head-is he getting it?  That the Gay Jesus movement is just using him at this point?  Or does he really think going to prison as the highly recognizable face of said movement is going to work out somehow-other than him not dying a painful and brutal death?  And why can’t Lip give enough of a shit to at least ask him not to go?  Fuuuuuuck.
Next Ian’s back at GJ HQ.  Geneva comes in and says she didn’t see him come in.  He says he came in the back-all the hugging and applause when he comes in the front is kinda weird.  Since Geneva is the only one who ever hugs him, I hope she’s getting the hint.  He’s looking over the “Free Gay Jesus” posters.
Ian: What is this? Geneva: Couple of the arty kids are working out a few ideas for if you do end up in prison. I: Couple assholes in a van chased me last night.  Apparently they’re not very big fans of my interpretation of Bible verse. G: Fuckers.  I’ll get you a couple of lesbian legion body guards.  They’d love nothing more than to a chance to stomp homophobes.  (Because, yeah, THAT was Jesus’ message.) Ian holds up a Che Jesus shirt with an unintentionally hilarious graphic of him wearing a beret-Showtime probably thinks fans want to buy them (I wrote these notes before Steve Howey tweeted he wants one last night.  It got less than a thousand likes, and I bet that number would be less than half if Cam hadn’t replied).
I: Think any of this is gonna end up making a difference? G: Ian, you’ve given thousands of gay and lesbian teenagers a voice.  (Insert Mickey gif of “Not really tho” here.)  You’ve inspired us to stand up and fight for ourselves.
So much wrong with so much of that.  First of all, is Geneva LGBT?  She was a runaway who ran away from having to give blowjobs, right, not because her parents kicked her out for being LGBT?  And she’s been crushing on Ian since Day 1, so, probably not “L”, and Wells clearly doesn’t believe in “B”, so who is Geneva to say “us”?  And next, IF Ian/Gay Jesus has given kids “a voice”, what is he saying for them-are the teens really into his whole “Jesus was a junkie”, “my god is non-binary” shouting that they haven’s shown since last year?  Don’t teens get bored and move on to the next thing when their idols aren’t doing anything new?  Lastly, she says they are standing up and fighting for themselves-where, when, how?
I: Know what I was thinking when I was running away from those bastards?  (Me at home: NO!  We never know what you’re thinking!  That’s the whole damn problem with your storylines!)  It’s been 2000 years since Jesus died on the cross and I’m still running for my life down an alley because I fall in love with men instead of women.  (No, Ian, you’ve only ever loved one (1) man-fucking admit that for once and then get on with your life.  That line should’ve been “have sex with”, no one deserves to be chased down for that either, and it wouldn’t have made me exasperated with Ian over the whole “love” thing, which is a separate issue this show fucking needs to handle before it’s all said and done with Ian.)
Then one of the GJ kids comes in to report there’s a bunch of Nazi’s keeping people from getting to one of the polls and we don’t see Ian again this episode. But again, I hope that they’re finally having him wake up to the fact that NO ONE cares about him.  The family has washed its hands of him, the Gay Jesus followers WANT him to go to prison (and probably die) and be a martyr for the cause.  Time to ask yourself who is the only person who ever looked at you and actually saw you there, Ian.  The only person to look you in the eye and say, “I love you.”

'Supernatural' fandom gets a mirror held up to the cyberbullying
Sadly, it seems that within many groups there will be a small contingent that likes to take its anger and frustration out on others, and many fans of the show "Supernatural" have felt this type of onslaught. It normally starts with a simple tweet, but then it quickly spirals out of control as the people getting attacked will defend themselves and wind up being called the bully. Yes, it sounds insane to the average person, but this is what happens as the bully pulls in their contingent of supporters to attack one person into submission. While it's a minority within a large group, it's a minority that has honed their skills so their voices are heard in the cacophony they create on social media making it look like an uprising. We've had this happen to us three different times even once having another website try to call us 'racist,' and anyone who reads our opinion pieces would realize what a load of bunk that it. In the past year this bullying of others, not to mention some of the actors and guest stars on "Supernatural" has taken a much uglier turn with tweets being taken out of context in an attempt to smear someone mainly because they hold different beliefs or someone just doesn't like their politics. There's plenty of other reasons, but many of these reasons just feel completely overblown, and in a different time would have been met with just a groan or roll of the eyes. Now, every slight is met with an army of frustrated minions who refuse to let things just roll off their back. The people doing this don't consider themselves bullies but as the victims and immediately go crying to their contingent when someone stands their ground with them. We're taught that when someone bullies us, we can defend ourselves, but this new kind of bully will continue battering away until they get the person to blow up on Twitter in frustration. Then this bully will say how out of control that person is feeling they have finally proven whatever point they were trying to make. It seems that there are much more beneficial ways to spend your life, but for some people, this is their life. One of our writers forwarded a very insightful post from Tumblr that truly hits things on the head with what has been happening within the "Supernatural" fandom minority. Having spoken to so many within the #SPNFamily, I've been told countless times how much they hate how this small contingent has created such a divide, but they also don't want to say anything as they know they will be next on this hitlist just for voicing a differing opinion. So, sometimes it takes someone to hold up a really big mirror to the people causing the problem to help unite people again and move forward. While it might be strong in its wording, I dare anyone to say that this person is wrong on how things have gotten so out of control. Our Carol Hansson touched on this regarding the recent slam on Jared Padalecki for a bad joke, but the one below really hits everything home. I thank Surflove808 for standing up and making the following statement and allowing us to reprint it here:
Do you think this cast is problematic and insensitive?  Gather around the fire with me, you delicate tulips.  Let me tell you a story.
There will be potty language.  And there will be no straddling the fence to appease both sides.  So, read at your own risk.  But, absolutely always feel free to respond and engage in discussion! When I got into this show, I fell down the rabbit hole like everyone else, and watched con footage and interviews and became more invested than I ever have in a show because of all the (perceived) incredible positivity and kindness reflected from the cast to the SPN Family and vice versa.  I had never seen anything like it.  And I was so impressed with this fandom and proud to be a part of it that I do something I rarely do - I gushed about it to friends.  Even though I knew they’d give me shit.  Because we think we’re too cool for school or something.  I don’t know. My love for this show and fandom eventually led me to Tumblr and the actors Twitter feeds.  I went full fangirl.  I thought, “Yay!  Other people who enjoy this amazing show.  Gifs!  Funnies!  Fanfics!  Art!  Support!"  And there is that, undoubtedly….but there is also this seedy underbelly that gets far more attention that it merits.  And I have become so disillusioned and angered by the shit I see here on the regular, not to mention Twitter…. that I feel like I need to disengage from following both (SPN-wise), so I don’t burst a fucking capillary. Before I do that…. to the handful of "fans” that have caused a Twitter uproar and instigated shortsighted and nasty smear campaigns regarding:
 Jareds inappropriate joke
Mark Pellegrino and William Shatner defending Jared over some other Twitter bullshit.  They didn’t cause the initial offense, they merely defended their buddy against all the flamers….which, apparently is not allowed for these specific individuals.  They’re so evil.  How dare they have a human response to seeing their friend get charbroiled online.  It’s like they think they’re real people….
Jensen supporting his FRIEND JDM when he was harassed and lambasted on Twitter and Instagram for wearing a Blue Lives Matter t-shirt.  *Also, see #2*
Jensens retweet of Pellegrinos very nice message welcoming India to the SPN Family (flooding Jensens feed with demands that he not support his castmate and friend because Mark stood up to them or because they don’t agree with Marks ideology.  Way to take something positive and turn it ugly, BTW.  Sorry, India.  Truly.  I’m secondhand cringing over here.)  *Also, see #2*
*See previous rants on this page*
Can you please fuck off already?   I hear Antarctica is nice this time of year, and that knitting is a great way to take your mind off things and meditate.  I might follow my own advice, in fact.  But stay the hell away from my yurt.  I am stabby when it comes to you people. There are always going to be people who feel compelled to stir up a lot of shit over anything these guys say and do, and they generally also apply that rule to most things in life, I’m guessing.  And I know opinions are like assholes (everyone’s got one), but really, there seem to be a handful of folks that LIVE for the drama around here. Get a grip.  Be useful.  Because what you seem to enjoy doing - Tearing down public figures in order to promote your own agenda, and making threats and accusations and spreading them like cancer?  It’s not productive. It’s toxic. With regards to THE JOKE: I don’t want to tell the joke.  TELL IT!  No, my jokes are all inappropriate.  TELL it!  Nah… TELL IT ANYWAY, WE DON’T CARE!  *Tells joke*  *Sees personal integrity torpedoed and potentially damaged career/legacy due to an influx of online articles based on a handful of tweets by reactionary “fans” who probably weren’t even there*  Nice set-up, people. Neither one of these guys is or has ever been anything but gracious to fans, not to mention caring and supportive.  That’s why fans from all over the world come to see them and share their personal stories of hardship with this cast.  And they are certainly not proponents of rape culture. These conventions are for adults, by adults.  And if you bothered to even watch a sampling of con footage of these guys, your delicate sensibilities would probably be overwhelmed by the sexually charged and deeply inappropriate things that get said BY some fans TO these guys.  But here’s the thing, these actors take it in stride and treat their fans like friends.  And these cons are very intimate and personal, open and extremely funny.  Is content inappropriate sometimes?  Yes, thank Chuck. THAT’S USUALLY WHAT MAKES IT FUNNY. Have you ever watched a comedy routine?  How do you handle dark humor?  Can you?  If you can’t?  Don’t watch.  Don’t play Cards Against Humanity either.  In fact….turn the internet off and spend time around real people.  Build up some tolerance.  Take your newfound tolerance to a domestic violence shelter and volunteer your time.  Immerse yourself in a new culture.  Read a few books.  Educate yourself a bit and grow wiser.  Pick your battles and fight for what’s right.  Not for what you “think” is right for Twit hits. And you know what?  If you’re the type of person who is going to go on a witch hunt that results in these guys having to share the same platform with guys like Weinstein and Spacey, with potentially irreversible damage done to their professional and personal lives over something like THIS? Congratulations.  You’ve become the thought police.  You’re demonizing people who have done a tremendous amount of good in the world around them via campaigns that stem from a desire to reach out to their fandom and support of people in crisis, particularly women, over a lame joke that Jared and especially Jensen, didn’t feel was appropriate to share in the first place.  These are genuinely kind and decent men, maybe do some more background research and check your motivation before you irrevocably damage someones well-being and livelihood. And because I don’t know any of your names or whereabouts, I can’t actually fuck up your life, can I?  And even if I could?  Why on earth would I??  Anonymity’s great, though….isn’t it?  We can go online and sit on our own virtual Mount Olympus, raining down accusations, judgments and sentences with minimal effort, foresight or concern for the ramifications of our actions. And Jared is a prime example of that sometimes.  I’m sorry to say, because he is a good dude, but he’s guilty of some of the same flamebroiling of people that you excuse yourselves from in the name of self righteousness.  The difference is - you can hide behind your anonymity.  He can’t.  And I’m down with calling people on their bullshit behavior (clearly), and Jared has had it coming a few times, but THIS?  This is ridiculous. Since you seem to be fond of extreme responses, I could make the comparison that encouraging, no….demanding that someone do something that they don’t want to do, and then shaming them for it when they do what you’ve asked? That’s REAL textbook abuse. Chew on that for a minute. Congrats again, because when you search either of their names, that’s the FIRST thing that comes up.  "Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles made a rape joke".  The joke in and of itself doesn’t and shouldn’t negate all the good they’ve put out in the world, but in the eyes of the general public outside the fandom?  NOW it does.  THAT’S what people now see. It’s amazing how a 7 word joke can lead to online character assassination that tears down over a decade of good works.  And I wouldn’t blame them one bit for shutting down future cons and/or reducing their conversation with fans to subject matter that strictly pertains to the show. And if you have stated any iteration of “I will no longer be a fan or watch this show because of these horrible meanies”… GOOD.  FUCKING.  RIDDANCE. It would make the SPN Family a much better place to be if ya’ll and your other easily offended brethren who can dish it out, but can’t take it, would fuck off to parts unknown to fixate on something else and leave us in peace. While this may offend some, I do feel many others will celebrate and revel in its reminding us that we do live in a country where we can voice our opinion whether or not everyone agrees with it. We never learn by surrounding ourselves with only like-minded people. It's the people with differing opinions and ideologies that can teach us to grow and become better informed individuals.

I was raised to have pride in my beautiful personality and appearance, but thank you to the ever humbling internet for reminding me of my constantly increasing flaws. As wonderful as it is to see the ignorance and bigotry that lives in this ever expanding universe, it is more saddening to see the encouragement coming from creators pushing shame on bodies, women, lgbtq, disgracing trust filled relationships, repainting feminists as feminazis (the irony of which comparing people who fight for gender equality to those who actively preached that one type of person is better than another, never fails to confuse me) and of course shaming all things one might enjoy because the aren’t good enough, pretty enough, or skinny/curvy/muscly enough. Here’s the deal: I don’t sing because I’m talented. I sing, loudly, proudly and off key, because I love to sing. So, kindly fuck off. I don’t wear make up because I want to impress you or “false advertise” (wtf is wrong with you I’m not a product being sold to you) or because I hate myself and wish to be something I’m not. I wear makeup because it’s an ever growing art form and when my brows are on point I feel fan-fricken-fabulous. Similarly, I don’t not wear makeup because I’m lazy, incompetent, or hate myself and don’t want to try. I don’t wear makeup because I feel damn good about myself and comfortable in my skin and I shouldn’t feel ugly for having flaws and openly carrying them with me in public. So, kindly fuck off. No, it’s not the “crazy, emotional, snooping” girlfriend’s fault if you cheat. Wtf. Why are we normalizing ‘side chicks’. It has become a game on social media to joke about how long you can trick your girl into not opening your phone and finding out your cheating. It has also become normal to blame the victim of cheating for snooping in the first place, but perhaps if the significant other hadn’t broken their trust so many times they wouldn’t have a need to check their significant other’s phones. So, kindly fuck off. If you’re healthy and happy I don’t care what you look like you’re perfect the way you are. Curvy, skinny, muscly, flabby all is ok. So, kindly fuck off. Also, can we stop using a menstrual cycle as an excuse to de-validate a women's rational opinion/feeling. Please, please, please! stop portraying women as naggy, weak, demanding, emotional, petty stereotypes its bleeping annoying. Sexism still exists btw. And cat-calling is harassment not a compliment. Also the female body is not inherently sexual. So, kindly fuck off.
So many lgbtqa stereotypes that please don't, we're not all the same. Also, coming out isn't easy and isn't best for everyone. Discrimination still happens, don't pretend like it doesn't. Pride day is the one day where we can proudly show off and be happy about our sexuality/gender(s) and if you're offended by that then go somewhere else or keep it to yourself. Got a problem? See below. Kindly fuck off. Feminism is the fight for equal rights for all genders. So, kindly fuck off. Side note: mental health is not something you "just get over" so, you can either get educated or fuck off because I'm tired to dealing with people.

I know you’re not trying to slam Harry or anything, and trust me, i know Harry isn’t perfect. There are many things he’s done that i don’t agree with. However, i do think some things you’re saying are a bit farfetched but i don’t think you’re doing anything against Harry, so no worries there.

Alrighty so while I’m thinking about it here’s basically every element from Beauty and the Beast that I adored
can I say how surreal it was to be in a theater packed with young girls of all ages wearing yellow dresses with their Belle barbies
not to mention all the adults and people my age who’ve been singing Be Our Guest for eternity were all so excited
it was almost like when The Force Awakens came out and Star Wars was alive again and everyone, old and new generations of fans, gathered together.... ya know what I’m talking about? where everyone in the room is buzzing with anticipation
the CGI wasn’t as terrible as y’all thought, y’all need to have a little faith sometimes lol
the casting was excellent!!
i know people have mixed feelings about Emma Watson playing Belle but I honestly wouldn’t have casted it any other way. She’s always been a women’s rights activist, a bookworm and a thinker, and a strong role model for young girls. and her favorite princess was always Belle I mean come on. and her singing voice was so incredible!! that was what I was most looking forward to in this movie and it did not disappoint
she also said in a buzzfeed interview that she imagines Belle would open the Beast’s library to the public and start a school!!! How rad is that?? HEADCANON ACCEPTED
shout out to Dan Stevens for waltzing in 10 inch stilts while wearing a 40 pound body suit
ok Luke Evans and Josh Gad must’ve thought they were in Dirty Dancing because they had the time of their lives
and Luke was pretty attractive. just sayin
overall, the cast was really diverse! not one but two interracial couples! and in general there were a lot of poc in the village featuring a wonderfully sweet librarian dude
Everything about Belle’s character was fantastic I’m not kidding
i think the town had such a consistent routine that she could precisely time when the morning rush started?
despite the village blatantly gossiping about her she was still so nice and polite to everyone
so??? much??? sass??? it was unreal??? When Gaston asked why she wouldn’t go out to dinner with him he assumed she had plans but she was just like “No...” and she didn’t even explain further how freakin savage she shot that boy down
(a few more examples bc this girl was on fire) “Why would I be startled? I’m talking to a candle” and “Is that a joke? are you making jokes now?” and my fav “’Maybe you just haven’t met the right man?’ ‘It’s a small village Gaston, I’ve met them all’”
this is Elizabeth Bennet level Jane Austen would be proud
they touched on how women were expected to have kids in their late teens/early 20s and she’s like “screw that” yeah girl smash that patriarchy
how on earth did it take me 17 years to realize she’s considered odd because she’s the only literate girl in the whole village???????? how did I, a history buff obsessed with the French Revolution, never make that connection before???? this isn’t specific to the new film but still I applaud it good job disney
she was an inventor!!! i don’t know if i’ve ever been happier than when i saw her solving equations and tinkering and making a washing machine so she can read and get chores done simultaneously. emma totally had something to do with this decision absolutely no doubt
she doesn’t ride her horse sidesaddle and that was like a huge faux pas for ladies back then (again, smashing the patriarchy one step at a time)
SHE WAS TEACHING ANOTHER SMOL GIRL HOW TO READ!!! THAT’S SO IMPORTANT AND PRECIOUS I’VE BEEN UNABLE TO THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE SINCE THAT MOMENT
she planned to escape the castle from the beginning and was really creative about it, and no matter what she always found some sort of weapon lying around lol (a random stick, a chair, a pitcher Belle what would you do with that) but she was always prepared to defend herself with somewhat of a plan and attempt at thinking ahead
She was really curious about the curse and asked questions about it to figure out this mystery herself
she was always problem-solving and trying to find a solution to situations and that was so cool girls need to see that strong female leads aren’t always the ones that can fight, but girls with wit and bravery
there was lots of nice background info on characters that otherwise wouldn’t exist, like Belle’s mom’s death, why Maurice chose to stay in that boring village and Adam’s dad being a jerk and turning him into a monster (no pun intended)
Mrs Potts giving us a reason why the entire castle was cursed, not just Adam. They didn’t do anything to stop Adam’s dad from corrupting him and man that’s some heavy stuff
I feel like each character, especially the servants, were so much richer and stronger and more complex, and the stakes were higher bc each time a rose petal fell they became less and less human
even the enchantress had a name and she was gorgeous?
they went pretty dark in this one... like something caused that tree to fall in Maurice’s path and back into an upright position. the wolves wouldn’t cross the gates because of some boundary. the way the whole castle shuddered with each drop of a pedal. i could go on... and the added character depth really helped that dark stuff too
THE MUSIC!!!! WAS SO GOOD!!! I’ve had the album on repeat for.... four days now and I’m not sick of it yet?? please send help
seriously, they did an amazing job. it was perfectly balanced w both old an new songs, and neither of them overshadowed the other. each song got it’s spotlight, they honored the old ones while including new original ones that were awesome (cough forevermore cough cough)
Gaaaaaastonnnnnnnnnnnn omg that sequence was awesome. honestly i think everyone in the theater tapped their foot when he was stomping and dancing on the tabletops
Belle was really good too to me because i’m a nerd for that set design
Days in the Sun is extremely underrated!! but yes, Forevermore is breathtaking it’s growing on me more and more each day
lots of rotating cinematography and spinning i’m a nerd i love it
the costume and set design.... holy crAP it’s stunning
i read somewhere that Belle’s casual getup has large pockets for her books and she has part of her skirt pinned up so she can ride Philipe easier and that’s beautiful
each scene was packed with tiny details that most movie makers overlook and I’m so impressed???? not just visually but there were so many sounds that truly made it feel real like in the village I’d occasionally hear a crying baby or a dog barking or just constant chatter and that’s stuff you’d expect to hear in a crowded village square
the little twinkling lights during the ballroom dance was probably my favorite i may have cried
No one ever say anything bad about Belle’s dress again IT WAS SO GORGEOUS it floated across the floor like a bundle of sunshine
and there were so many details in that scene? did anybody notice her gold earrings she wore they were wonderful
her hairstyles throughout the whole movie were so cute (esp at the end with that updo!! and that pretty flower dress I need it)
the historical accuracies??? unreal??
so much baroque architecture with all of the elaborate gold designs ahhh i love it
half of it looked like a rococo painting, the other half a neoclassicism painting
girls weren’t allowed to be educated so that’s why Belle was hated so much--and so cool--and ohhhh my mind is blown why did i not understand this until now
lol a giant chunk of France was illiterate at the time too so LeFou realizing that halfway through trying to spell Gaston was hilarious
actually the mob song in general is scarily accurate. what starts with a small discomfort turns into irrational fear which turns into extremism in crowds and they did the stupidest things like “hey there’s a monster that we’ve never seen or heard of and it’s never attacked us before but LETS KILL IT” seriously the French loved mobs
they included a lot more intimate moments w Belle and the Beast to build up their relationship more carefully
Belle almost in tears when she was in that library because honestly same girl
my favorite moment in the entire movie, although small, was when they were in the library during “Something There” and she just kept grabbing book after book and he was walking behind her holding this massive stack that was so cute
honorable mentions: when the Beast shook his head like the horse omg. and I freaking cackled when he threw that giant snowball at her face
when they were in Paris, and Belle figured out that her mother died of the plague and she said “let’s go home”
she just rode off while still wearing her ball dress
“no time to change gotta go save my pa i’m keeping this btw”
and then she strips down to her undergarments because they’re about to go after Adam and that’s the final straw nobody messes with him under her watch she has to save him and, sorry, but she won’t let a big bulky dress get in the way of that despite how beautiful it is
Belle participated in the climax fight scene she was not taking any of Gaston’s crap
and then Adam was like “stay there I’m coming” and she completely ignored him so she could step in if he needed her
“I am not a Beast”
the transformation scenes were amazing
LeFou’s character arc was surprisingly great! and I support him and his boyfriend
that one growl at the end... you know the one... I’m very confused why was that so sexy is that bad
there were so many moments where i got goosebumps and sudden tears from the swelling of the orchestra or a certain chilling line and i was just so moved by this movie
in every showing that i went to there was a massive applause from the crowd and i love it you deserve it disney
I'm running out of adjectives
There was hardly an aspect that I disliked. Maybe more of Mrs Potts would’ve been nice, maybe Belle asking Adam to grow a beard was a little strange, maybe Ewan could work on his French accent a little more (don’t get me wrong I love this man but it could use a little more work... other than that his acting was superb). my complaints stop there! I honestly loved this film so much and I’d been pumped since I first heard about it back in 2015. It didn’t disappoint! that means a lot coming from a person who had insanely high expectations for it.

I suppose you’re right about that, but i think all in all Harry’s intentions weren’t slut shaming. I watched it and i didn’t see it like that, and i know people who didn’t see it like that, either. But again, i can see why you do.
And okay, i understand Harry has never been seen with someone who isn’t white. But take me, for example, and many other people in this world. I don’t divide my types between black & white, however, i somehow have only ended up dating white boys/girls. Everyone in my family and everyone who knows me personally knows that i have liked people from many different races. But all my ex’s were all white, and i would hate for people to see me as someone that’s racist (even though i know you said you aren’t calling anyone that) just because i’ve only dated white people.
This could be happening with Harry. He could like/have liked someone who was of a different race but nothing ended up happening. We really don’t know Harry as much as we think we do, and realistically, we really don’t know a bit of his love life. I think jumping to that conclusion of “Harry only likes white girls” is farfetched. All we know is that what we see on the media and we KNOW that’s not all of Harry.
I don’t think, for a second, Harry would only ever date a white woman, or even only like white women. There are so many different circumstances for this that it’s innumerable. We can’t jump to that just because “Harry’s been seen with Kendall Jenner.”
And yes, i do think Harry should have at least given her a heads up. But i still stand with my previous argument on it, so i think we both agree with this one.
