Note
what is her opinion on goro? and if no one else asks, what's her persona?
Ah, yes. Goro Akechi. The one and only Detective Prince.
Or, the Defective Prick, as Asuka likes to call him.
She and him go way back. And by that, I mean about a week or two before her boss's palace got taken care of. Said boss, which I named Shiro Ogata, and his little DVD rental store was under investigation for possibly being a front for a little something more shady, which I have proven to be true, but the cops don't know that. And as a result, Akechi got to interrogate Asuka for what she knows, since she's basically the only worker at that shop.
Of course, if she were to tell the detective everything, Ogata would have it so that she doesn't wake up the next day, so she had to put her theatre acting skills to use. She wanted, no, needed help, for someone to save her, but she couldn't just make it obvious. Doing her best to show that something is wrong, and that she's being used for a drug cartel's gain, while also doing her best to tell that nothing's off, that there is absolutely nothing shady going on.
And it looked like he understood everything.
And yet, in the end, Asuka was saved and recruited by the Phantom Thieves before he did anything to help.
I don't think she'd even try to forgive Akechi for that. They wouldn't meet again until the TV station trip, which surprisingly isn't much later, since I have her "arc" placed right in between Yusuke and Makoto's arcs in the story. It's a short one, with Ogata's palace being small enough to complete in only a day or two to avoid time constraints.
She'd most certainly take her chance to roast Akechi on live television that day.
As for when he shortly joins the Thieves for Sae's palace, she'd still have her grudge against him, and it's no help that she can easily tell he's putting up a blatantly obvious fake-as-all-hell act. A year of being the queen bee of the drama club can do that to ya, I suppose. They'd quickly turn into a duo that does nothing but bicker at each other, and it's...not fun for the rest of the group to deal with.
And if we bring in my headcanon of Akechi having his hot takes on literature and the like...him and Asuka would have arguably the most heated debates of all time.
As for Asuka's persona...It's Aradia, of Wiccan mythology. I got the idea upon playing through SMT: Nocturne, as Asuka's arc focuses on freedom from her abusive job. And given how Aradia is a supposed goddess of freedom...I think you can make the connection here.
But wait, you may ask, aren't mythological figures supposed to be the second tier personas??? Yes, but...Aradia's a purely fictional goddess. And yes, I know, mythological figures are all fictional, but bear with me here...or don't. It's supposed to be weird that Asuka's persona isn't exactly much like the rest of the gangs'.
Aradia's main skills would focus on Curse attacks and debuffs, making Asuka a glass cannon of sorts in terms of stats, much like any mage in a JRPG.
