okay i feel like i’ve been writing these muses in one way or another long enough to do this.  so here it is: my shiny little mains call.  i’ll start with the rules i have surrounding mains and the requirements for liking this post.  please make sure you read everything before hitting the like button, thank you!! 

WE MUST HAVE SPOKEN OOC AT LEAST ONCE OR TWICE PREVIOUSLY.  it is preferred that we’ve spoken and have plotted or at least vaguely discussed our muses previously, since chemistry is important and i don’t want to be mains w/ someone that i can’t plot with well.

if you are a main, you are considered a main across my entire blog ( unless we discuss otherwise ).  it’s a lot harder for me to keep track of muse specific mains, so this is just to make things easier for me.  if someone is a main for just one of my muses, the following rule doesn’t apply. 

i will only have two single blog mains per canon character.  meaning i will only be mains with... two single muse dabis or two single muse kyojuros, for example.  that number goes up to three if one or more of the three is on a multimuse.  so if i’m main with a single muse dabi and a dabi that’s on a multimuse, i still have room for one more dabi.  

this rule does not count w/ original characters (obvi), and there are certain friends that are exempt from this rule (sorry, not sorry, but it’s my blog and i get to decide where i implement nepotism). 

your replies won’t always skip the queue, but they will be pushed to the top of the queue where applicable.  unless i know you’re chill with waiting, in which case you will wait ur turn and you’ll like it.  i’m looking directly at charlie rn. 

some notes on what being one of my mains means:

I have been roleplaying on and off for almost 13 years, but Marvel & its fandom has found a special place in my heart when it comes to RPing. this blog is an independent, selective, headcanon-influenced Bucky Barnes. before we interact, I have a few simple rules. these are just the basics; there is a much more detailed list of these on my blog - please take the time to read those as well if you can.

Success. I’ve sufficiently pestered the wench to make me a blog, much to the cost of a certain behorned mischief god whose presence I must share. Follow the rules below, and there’ll be smooth sailin’, savvy?

This be an exceptionally selective blog. I was me mun’s first ever muse yonks back and I’ve pestered her into writing me again, BUT, she’s horribly pressed for time. Partners will likely be very few, else ones doubling up with Loki’s. Anyone is welcome to approach and enquire, but she and I will be leaning toward those either from me own universe or crossovers with which she’s highly familiar and characters in whom she’s especially interested. Ye have been warned.

Replies are like to be slow, up to a few weeks at most.

Partners must be 18+. Various themes of an adult nature may be found here. Sexual things will be tagged ‘#filthy pirate’ with whatever level/variety of sin I deem them. More details below.

Behave. There shall be no rudeness, no passive aggression, no hate, no censorship or generally being a twit. Do I make meself clear?

The Code - Extended (below the cut)

Hi, guys. I’m Pirate (oddly known as this long before I made Jack a tumblr). Here are my more detailed rules and guidelines for writing with me on this blog, though the absolute basics are at the top as, honestly, it’s never easy to remember everyone’s requirements.

Jack is a sideblog. If you’re being followed by a benevolentgodloki that means I’m following you back. I don’t need us to be mutuals (both following each other) for us to write together, but there is a greater chance of us having a partnership if we’re letting each other know we’re interested.

How I Roll

I note myself as ‘highly selective’. This isn’t to be an elitist bugger, it’s because we all only have a limited amount of time we can put in. I want to write what I enjoy with people I enjoy. I am married with two attention-seeking cats, two jobs, a slow-brewing intended writing career and a video game addiction.

Asks/Memes - I will usually answer these no matter who they are from but I may or may not turn them into a thread I intend to keep. Some memes are very much designed to be something that continues so context can be key. If you would like to know in advance whether I intend to answer and/or keep something, please do pop me a message and I will be kind and honest.

My Threads - While Jack’s blog is still exciting and new, I’m being a bit all over the place with who and what I reply to depending on which way Jack’s.. compass.. is pointing. I do have a rolling turn order that I adhere to (to the point that I can genuinely tell you who is next at any given moment) but it’s all piled in with Loki’s threads, meaning I can take a few weeks to get round everything. Every partner gets one of their threads answered within that ‘round’ and then I go round again. However, when I’m really into something/finding something easy to pop back, I treat myself to spamming certain threads or partners at my whim. I use rpthreadtracker.com to maintain what I have. 

I will remind partners of threads that have not been replied to for more than three months. If I do not do this, I have either forgotten/lost it myself, I’m not too fussed about keeping it at that stage, or you were absent for a long period of time. 

My Style - I will write in both past or present tense depending on partner preference. My default is past but I like either. Please kick me if I screw up and write the wrong one. I prefer using regular size font but I will make mine small on replies to people who use the smaller so that it looks neat. I will often match partners’ lengths and some formatting details e.g. bolding dialogue, but I struggle with doing novella-length posts for reasons below.

I have a bugbear to admit about role-play. What we call splicing. A good half of my partners write this way so I’m not about to tell everyone to stop but if you’re someone who does this, you will occasionally run into some frustrations when writing with me. ‘Splicing’ is when you retrospectively write dialogue or actions as having previously happened during your partner’s last post. These things are fine when they’re passive i.e. your character muttered them, thought them or you were writing what your character was doing at the time because that’s pretty much essential. The trouble comes usually when my characters talk a lot/ask rhetorical questions and partners choose to answer every single one despite the fact my character carried on talking. I know it’s an ass that I have talkative muses and you really want to respond to every point/get a word in, but putting words and actions into the past effectively godmods my muse into accepting they happened. If you feel your muse would have full-on interjected midway through their ramble, please ask me to edit my post/stop it at that point. Otherwise if you do prefer to splice, my muse will only respond to whatever it is your character did or said last in their post. This is one of the reasons I can’t write novella, because often there is only so much you can write before you’re stepping into the territory of changing what went before and not allowing your partner to do anything about it.

TL;DR don’t ever worry about your post being too short for me. If it’s one sentence long but it’s because something fast-paced is happening, I won’t be miffed.

Shipping! - no not that kind of ship, Jack. I love shipping. Ships all around. Let’s face it, romance can be one of the most exciting reasons we bother writing. I am open to a lot of ships for Jack, practically all of them. Yes, even that one. I will do downright nasty, toxic, horrible stuff, savvy? It’s fiction and Jack is a great indulgence for bad things happening to him as much as good. That said, of course don’t force something on him without prior agreement between us. Well, I mean, your muse can try and accost him and see what he does, just don’t expect him to definitely reciprocate. Jack and I are bi/pansexual. We’re open to everything. I will admit a heavy lean toward m/m but, that said, Jack is extremely fond of the ladies, more so than Loki. I am very into Sparrington especially.

Not Safe For Ye Olde Work

Sliding down from the above topic, I enjoy the occasional smutting. It is not a requirement from my partners. In fact, I’m warming very much to fading to black depending on the context/mood/if things feel a bit repetitive. I do feel a touch more comfortable with partners who don’t need that boundary but as I’ve recently figured ‘if it needs a cut, then it’s smut’ I know when to skip on.

Saucy material will go under cuts/Read More’s and be tagged as mentioned above with ‘filthy pirate’. Additional tags will be based on the citrus scale: ‘lime’ for general grabbing, ‘lemon’ for full on sexual content and ‘grapefruit’ if things get extra kinky. I will tag things such as ‘rape tw’ or ‘noncon tw’ or ‘dubcon tw’ where necessary. Please blacklist any or all of these at your leisure, or search them if you fancy :U I do NOT tag these as ‘ns.fw’ because tumblr just completely hides them from being searchable which is useless for my partners.

OC’s - Due to my time constraints I am extremely picky when it comes to OC’s. This is a good fandom for well-thought-out muses and I know firsthand how hard it is to make headway as an OC in the RP world. However, I also understand that for people like me, I want to dip in on this site to mostly play with the characters and worlds I’m really absorbed in and ship my weaselly black guts out. Some people have more time than others to really give your OCs the time and love they deserve. Unless I’ve played with you a long time and I really like the cut of your and your muse’s jib, it’s very unlikely I’ll bite. Apologies! The same goes for crossover muses from fandoms I’m unfamiliar with, but I will let you know if that’s the case.

Limits

Threads - I don’t have a strict limit on how many to have per person but please bear in mind that the more of these you have with me the longer it will take me to get to a particular one (unless I’m spamming it back and forth). This is more a mun/muse context how many I accept.

Exclusives/mains - I don’t do these although I may consider having a maximum of 3 or 4 of one muse depending on activity levels and to ensure plots don’t get mixed up or attention feel unfairly balanced.

Triggers/squicks - I don’t like body horror e.g. graphic detail of squishy bits having bad things happen to them. I’m writing a pirate so there’s absolutely allowed to be elements of torture/violence, just don’t stab him in the eye or chop bits off him. One torture-related thing sends me into a complete freakout which I’ll discuss with partners if we’re doing a thread of that ilk as needed. Kink-wise I’m not into mpreg, A/B/O or infantilism or toilet things. Just ask me/Jack if you’re after something XD

Being yourself is the most important thing and I promise I am not a scary person (usually). We’re only human and it’s natural that we’ll get along better with some rather than others. This is more to give you a gist of the sort of person I am and who I gel with best.

So I’m a shy hermit at the best of times. I’m trying to be better at engaging and enthusing with partners over our threads because I realise more than ever this does keep things alive and make for a more enjoyable experience. I’m not always great at it. I work best with people who are patient and don’t worry too much on what I think of them and their writing, with people who are happy to keep threads going for the longhaul rather than keep dropping everything before I’ve had the time to get to the next post, and most especially people who accept that fiction =/= reality. I do need a certain level of quality, which doesn’t always mean perfect grammar, but it must be coherent, fun and creative. I like a relaxed approach, sharing mutual enjoyment in silly fantasy world sandboxes as escapism from (and exploration of) this complicated world we live in.

HOW I RUN MY BLOG

SPEED: for the most part, when muse is high, i am high activity. recent events and a preference for discord has waned my reply speed significantly in recent days, but it seems like i’m starting to get back into the swing of things now? fingers crossed. anyway, i tend to be very fast if i’m into a thread, but that doesn’t mean i’m trying to pressure you into also replying fast.

REPLIES: i try to match length, but usually end up going a bit over, and make threads longer than they started out. this is because hellhound is extra as hell and always has a lot of inner narration that needs to be written down. as for order etc, i don’t usually queue, because i’m lazy and i don’t care to. i reply to the things i want to reply to the most – this is a hobby and i’m doing my best not to let it feel like a job, so if i only reply to one thread for a wholeass week or two, i’m ... not gonna apologize? it’s my blog and i run it in the way that’s most fun. the muse wants what it wants! as a general note, also: please do not get passive aggressive about your partners not replying to threads. that’s really rude.

STARTERS: i used to post opens frequently, but not as much lately, as i very rarely get replies to them. starter calls are very difficult for me because of hellhound’s unfortunately cagey nature, so i much prefer starters born of plotting, or, honestly? even memes. 

INBOX: if you send me multiple memes in one go (which i love), i’ll usually pick one or a few that are most intriguing to answer and delete the rest, to keep feelings of obligation and inbox piling low. not only does this help pick out potential threads and develop them, but a response to something less interesting would be half-assed, so what’s the point? anyway: most of the time, i write meme replies with the expectation that the sender wants to have the option open to turn them into a thread. you never have to ask to do this, always feel free to.

SELECTIVITY: i am pretty highly selective – hellhound is hard to write with, and if i forced interactions with muses that just don’t click with her, this blog wouldn’t be as fun to write on. if i don’t follow back, it’s just because i can’t see our characters interacting very well, it’s nothing personal. and if, over time, that feeling develops after i’ve followed back (and we aren’t friends ooc) i’ll generally softblock. the same goes for people who show absolutely no interest in interacting over time. though, if you followed me over from my old blog, i generally won’t unfollow or softblock even if our muses don’t click. because sentiment (but you’re free to do so if you want, of course)

HONEST NOTE: plotting is really important to me, as is treating hellhound with respect. respect does not mean your muse liking her. respect means understanding that she is a very fucking fearsome person in whatever setting i put her in, and not belittling the rumors about her/just assuming they wouldn’t believe them. please understand that misconceptions are supposed to dictate hellhound being a ruthless fucking murderer. she does not scatter information about her targets after the fact. she does not tell people why she kills those she kills, even if they ask. it would take a lot of digging to find out that she has a pattern in the first place. while the rumors vary, they are generally publicly understood to be true. nothing makes me happier than when a muse is genuinely angry at or scared of hellhound because of what she’s told to be at the beginning of interactions. it’s fine if your muse doesn’t believe the rumors, but please go forward with the understanding that that is VERY RARE, especially in a setting where magic/myths exist! people not taking her seriously despite the things she’s done is one of my pet peeves. unless your muse is blatantly not scared of, like, serial killers, or people who tear others apart, i ask that you take her seriously and don’t undermine her fearsome nature. thank u v-v

A brief thing about Roleplaying with me:

This is not going to sell me at all as a roleplayer. In fact, it may make some people leave and that’s okay.

I just want everyone to know what they’re in for when they follow me.

I am slow. Sometimes I go days without doing replies depending on whats happening in my life. I am always on discord though and always down to muse/plot/be dorks.

I post OOC a lot. A LOT. Not as much as some people I’ve seen (though ooc posts do not bother me at all so I don’t say that negatively) but a lot.

I want to make friends with my partners. I know this won’t always happen, but if we can at least speak cordially outside of roleplay then there’s a higher chance I’ll reply to your stuff quicker because I know you/like you. Is that bad? Probably. But that’s how it goes.

I do not ever expect fast replies. I don’t expect asks be turned into threads. I don’t expect multiple threads. I AM, HOWEVER, AGREEABLE TO ALL OF THESE CONCEPTS.

I prefer shorter things because they’re easier to respond to. I don’t mean one liners, I mean short para. One or two paragraphs versus a novel. Novels won’t get replied to for a very long time because they require a lot of my brain. I work full time, I don’t always have a lot of brain to give.

I love AUs. I love stupid plots that make no sense. I’m not picky. I don’t always have to do canon but I will, of course, always do canon.

I love to ship - but please don’t force ships on me. Talk to me about them first. It’s rare I say no!

I hate icons. I hate formatting. I hate aesthetics and fancy graphics and fancy themes. Hence why my icons are not fancy, I have no aesthetics, and I don’t have a fancy theme. I continue to use small text and icons just because it seems to be a requirement these days, but I hate them all. If you do not use icons, have a shitty theme, and have no interest in formatting, I WILL STILL PLAY WITH YOU. THESE THINGS MEAN NOTHING TO ME AS LONG AS YOU WANT TO WRITE.

I am okay with you nudging me about plots, starters, and replies that I owe you and haven’t gotten around to yet. I forget very easily, its kind of sad. Just don’t bombard me on the daily or I might become a grumpy bear.

I am horrible at sending asks. I don’t see my dash very often so it’s hard for me to see when people post memes. I try my very best to send some when I can and I post Inbox Calls very often to try and combat this. You, at any time, have permission to toss memes at me that you reblog and say “hey maybe you can send one of these” and I’ll probably send you twenty. I love when people do that. I love when people are honest with me like “Jess you suck at sending memes send me something” that does not piss me off at all.

I suck at roleplaying in general. Things were different when I didn’t work full time. I do worry that my lack of activity makes me replaceable but I also don’t have a lot of time to worry about it, either. I am extremely grateful for everyone who does stick around knowing these things about me. I try to show that gratitude and appreciation as often as possible because it’s important that ya’ll know that. But I do suck as a roleplayer, I am aware of it, I am sorry. And I love you <3

minor godmoding for starters is okay ( ex. assuming my muse is happy, sad, sick, upset, being unreasonable, etc ). threads too. for memes, feel free to do what you want tbh.

sometimes i’m baymax slow, sometimes i’m the flash fast ( both ic and ooc ), but i’m always 100% interested. my speed is never directly proportional to my excitement over plots / threads / interest in talking to someone. it’s just easier to write / talk some days than others ya feel.

HOW DO YOU RUN YOUR BLOG

Speed: molasses ass slow. i’m a person whit a lot of irl stress, issues with focus, and overall physical and mental problems. i am super slow unless dedicated and very strict with myself. i know i’ve let down people with just how slow i am - and i apologize, but das just how it is. there are days i just go awol even to my closest friends. please understand that. i’m very hesitant to drop threads though so sometimes you’ll see me finally reply months later. but atm i’m doing better so i write at a decent pace. longer threads of course take some time for me. i backspace and rewrite a lot.

Replies: anything from small to novella goes. i do unorthodox threads like ‘texting’ threads too. really anything goes.

Starters: i do a lot of starter calls but i’m heavy unreliable anymore with them since 8/10 times they seem to go unanswered. i’m always open to plotting or negotiating a rewrite of a starter. just lmk. i love when random starters hit me though bc it’s like ‘hey, i’m excited to write w you’ and that really twangs my heartstrings. big mood.

Inbox: i had anon off for a year. i don’t answer/deal w shady stuff and hate/threats. but PLEASE, don’t be afraid to send memes, jokes, questions, or just contact me for ic/ooc rabble via that. <3 i encourage it.

Selectivity: i’m not as selective as i seem, i hardly get the chance to play/watch many series so i’m always usually open to exploring other fandoms. as long as i can see wriggle room for my muse to fit in a fandom and you have rules and about, i’m p game. as long as it’s not something super far-fetched ( ie; trying to interact with like ..... ml/p po/nies and other muses similar. wh y.... ) i’m sure there's something that could be chunked together. i also rly don’t care abt aesthetics. sure i love them myself but you don’t have to have icons or an expansive vocab to write with me. you also can have as many icons as you want and write as much and how you like. i adapt p well.

Wishlist item: some more action-y threads. calm alex is nice but it gets old having him too ‘tame and domestic’ sometimes. i like fight threads but also stay away from them bc of the initial ‘ohoho u can’t beat my muse!!!!’ or power comparison that turns into a schlong measuring contest. not abt that life. alex is strong but i know his limits and prefer not to comparing him to other fandoms bc power differs from series to series. mainly just ... more him scaring people/torture, hunting down less moral characters with a heavy helping of plotting/communication is my wishlist. angst to. ram my bum w some angst

Honest note: i’m super friendly and generous. i love people. as long as you don’t use me for followers/graphics/etc. i’m always here for you. that sounds harsh but i’ve had people ‘follow and friend me’ for their benefit only. don’t do that. otherwise, i prob already love you if you follow me and 300% of the time if you follow me i’m down for writing.

hmm, that’s a bit of a tough question because i have a lot of answers for that? so i think i would sort it by like… the /type/ of experiences. such as happy, development, growth, etc….

i’m gonna have to go with my first threads with aula. when we first met, she very kindly wrote me starters — and i remember exactly what i thought when i saw them: ‘holy heck it’s paragraphs and i am preening’. because back then i had moved from deviantart to tumblr, and i was more used to literary replies that extended past a paragraph. riko was my first tumblr muse (isanami followed not long after) but i like to match lengths, so the threads i had on riko didn’t really? go that long. so i felt a bit limited in really writing out what i wanted to do.

thus, when aula wrote the starters that she did, i got super excited and wrote just a paragraph more than she did… and she replied with even more. i died inside of happiness because HOLY, there was so much introspection THAT I REALLY LOVE READING IN PEOPLE’S WRITING AND JUST — screams. the plot and ideas for it was just original and i loved that she indulged my headcanon AND my wishlist??? i would like to think that we didn’t overextend ourselves but not limiting ourselves either, and even better was the relationships isanami developed more with her muses from those threads. exploring more from canon because canon just wasn’t enough.

the reason i label this as my ‘best’ is because it was the first time i met a writer who was willing to go above and beyond to write with my isanami. MOST ESPECIALLY with one of her muses that dislikes isanami GREATLY in canon (kamanosuke). she still wrote paragraphs based on an ooc post i made of a wishlist i wanted with isanami and like…. it told me that she was interested in writing with me and it made me happy. kamanosuke’s thread took the cake because again, he’s literally the last person i’d expect for anyone to talk with isanami willingly, but? she made it work somehow and in-character of him too.

i love replies of all lengths, it has no impact on my willingness to write with someone, but it was her thoughtfulness that just??? made me scream. LISTEN I’M STILL SHOOK ABOUT KAMANOSUKE LIKE — DANG. i dislike him in canon but when aula wrote her kamanosuke i was like ‘welp he’s better than canon, ain’t that the truth’. tack on the fact that aula is novella-oriented, which allowed me to write more and get better as a writer… though of course, everyone i write with has helped me improve in some way or another, so that’s another thing i think is a really gr8 experience

ANYWAY yes i will tell u abou her: isanami is a tiny priestess who eats a lot and has the greatest smile in the entire world but her existence is liTERALLY IRONY IN ITSELF BC SHE’S THE REINCARNATION OF THE GODDESS OF DARKNESS AIN’T THAT FUN STUFF BUT SHE IS A PURE CHILD WHO DESERVES SO MUCH MORE AND DON’T TOUCH ME

as for why she means so much to me — it’s kinda hard to put this into words? i still remember when i first watched the anime, that i absolutely found her adorable but that was it. i didn’t give her character much of an analysis… until i read the manga. all the things that weren’t in the anime that were in the manga, little bits of detail (and it helps that since reading lets you take in more). i fell in love with her.

this girl first seems like your classic “bright girl that changes the broody male character”, but she’s so much??? more than that?? she acts just like how a fifteen/sixteen year old character would act and the development she goes through to mature is just phenomenal. the best thing is that she develops but she also keeps true to her core beliefs. i feel like isanami is one of those few examples of a “strong female character” that usually gets overlooked because she can’t kick ass like the ninjas can.

yeah whatever, people think she’s ditzy and clingy and a crybaby. and yet they fail to understand just how realistic those traits are for a young teenager (especially one that saw her home and family bURN AND DIE IN FRONT OF HER AND MOST ESPECIALLY ONE THAT HAD TO RUN FOR FIVE+ DAY AND NIGHT FROM PPL WHOM SHE THOUGHT WANTED TO KILL HER)?? binch as if you weren’t like that when you were younger.

takes a word from saizo’s page: “you saved me”. her smile is just… the most precious thing to me. and then all the shit she has to go through!!!! but she still does her best to keep that smile!!! AND BINCHES NEED TO ACTUALLY LOOK AT HER FOR REAL BC ISANAMI KNOWS!!! okay i digress. but anyway isanami’s optimism is something that i like to just… write. because i myself am a very salty and pessimistic person in real life, so writing her and bringing her to life in turn makes me happier. the pain she goes through and how she manages to remain firm in her belief of smiling and giving kindness to those she meets, it’s kinda like an inspiration to me too.

ALSO one last thing: it’s kinda weird but when i see ppl who like her, my love for her channels through more. SO LIKE ISA!!!! IF U EVER READ THIS!!! KNOW THAT YOU’RE ONE OF THE REASONS I LOVE ISANAMI SO MUCH TOO. isa, a long time ago, made a post on her old isanami blog too, defending the smol child and just — i could feel isa’s love for isanami through that post and her blog. If you decided you want to drop something between our characters, for whatever reason, please let me know, don’t just disappear and/or ignore me because I will assume the worst, so yeah please tell me. I Write Smut But You Must Be Of A Certain Age To Write Smut With Me!

Yes, I do write smut paras and posts, yes sometimes I'll post smutty pictures. However I will not place them under read more tags, just because I shouldn’t have to. I'm sorry but if you have a problem with this then just don’t read my posts, its that simple. I will always try my best to make sure I tag them NSFW, no promises tho cause shit happens and I may forget.

You need to be 18+ in order to write smut with me, why? Because I'm in my twentys, which makes me a legal adult and I’m not going to jail if your mom or whoever is legal guardian of you finds our paras. It will fade to black before it even heads in that direction if you are younger than 18. Also if you are legal age and uncomfortable with writing smut then we can make it fade to black, I have no problem with that.

Smut however may be a rare thing that happens even if I have a sex driven muse, the mun is very shy and unexperienced in that area. I will however try my best but if it sucks then I am sorry, I just don't want to make promises or forbid it at all so I'm just gonna keep it at a rare thing because it can happen if threads lead in that direction or if a meme is sent or received.

This is my escape from everything I have to go through in real and when roleplaying starts hurting me too then something is in major need of changing.

Now I need to point out one thing, I aint exclusive means my muses will play with other muses of the same muse and possibly ship with them. But that doesn't mean you will be replaced or I like them better. No one thread will be exactly the same as others and I don't want to restrict my muses to having to miss out on others incredible writing and muses. I LOVE YOU no less. just remember that.

If I reply to certain threads faster than yours, its nothing personal its just sometimes I only have muse for certain threads. Honestly I know how hard it can be when you are on mobile but its not impossible, tumblr gives you an option to delete old replies. If you want to turn an ask into a thread then go for it, all I ask of you is you move it to a new post. DO NOT REBLOG IT FROM THE ASK. I will not follow you if you do that shit, it clutter fucks shit also and its fucking annoying to see.

I don't care how many threads we have but do try to be a bit understanding, I'm not supergirl. My muses and I can only handle so much before we gets to the point everything is too much to handle. Which means replies may take a while to be answered and posted, hell some may be answered and place in queue that following night so I can keep up. I may start to limit the amount of threads each muse can have with a certain muse to about 2-5 depending on the length of them that gets posted straight away then the rest shall go into queue. I'm sorry but  I don't need my muses or myself to feel like we're drowning in replies and get stressed about not being able to keep up and get everything posted in a reasonable manner. This is supposed to be fun since this is a hobby, not a job.

If you tag me in a starter then please make sure my muses and I can understand it. If its too confusing for my muse to figure out how to reply to it and I can’t help them then its going to be in my drafts for awhile til it gets deleted. I’ll feel like shit about it cause it isn’t because I don’t want to roleplay with you, its just my muse doesn’t know how to answer and I can’t help them. Its not fair to my muses if I make them do something they are completely confused about and don’t even know how to answer.

Alright I’m sorry but this has to be said because right now I just can’t stress it enough. I’m a multimuse blog, which means that means this blog contains more than one muse on it and you know what, you may not see them all being active because a certain one may become popular. I don’t know why that happens but it does and I appreciate the love you are giving to that muse but it is unfair to the rest of my muses. They deserve a chance, not just one damn muse. I get it you have favorites but honestly its not fair that you don't even take a chance on the others, since you may never know what could happen there. Plus I don't need any of my muses feeling left out or unwanted because you decided to play favorites, it makes them want to disappear and I honestly don't want to lose any of my muses so please try to give them all a fair chance, not just one specific muse of mine. If you are unsure where you can find out what all muses I have then here let me inform you real quickly. I have anxiety, depression, bipolar, mood disorders, and phobias. I'm sorry I can't control how fucked up I am but you are gonna have to bare with me. If I disappear without warning, its because my depression has hit an all time high and tumblr isn't helping me any. Here it is! This is my big dumb 'thank-you' post that I've been meaning to write. So if you weren't aware, I've actually closed this blog (aside from some random posts about Logan and a Batman Podcast - you should listen to it) due to some major, major problems with the DC fandom that I find toxic and quite frankly disgusting. But das stuff that sadly I can't change so I'm doing what's best for me and getting my ass outta here before my love for Batman is forever ruined by blind and immature fanboys.

i started writing bryce around about 2015. My first blog was called surgitisms but I changed it because someone made some burnbook callout about me copying someones url (I had no idea that blog existed rofl - surgit is latin for 'rise'). I then moved to rageinyourbones (shoutouts to joseph gordon levitt) where i spent most of my time, developing this character that wasn't even my idea - it was just a passing remark from a lovely actress by the name of Natalie Dormer. now as you're aware (and as i continually apologize for) i fucked up on that blog, and i've done my best to reach out and make amends with the people i offended (and they were super gracious and accepted my apology). but that negative bollocks aside, i grew up so much on that blog. i learned some amazing things about myself, i learned some bad things about myself, and most importantly i created a character that i personally believe is different to bruce wayne. i ended up headcannoning late at night, thinking about how she would act differently to bruce, about how she would interact with certain characters etc etc etc.

but what really made all the difference was the people i met.

you guys are fucking amazing. i mean lets be real - the tumblr rp community can be fucked sometimes. we've all seen it, but what i love is that we tend to (80% of the time) treat each other as real human beings and see that what we're really here for is just the love of these dumb fictional characters. they give us a break from the savagery of life and its endless woes. i am so, so so grateful and so so so blessed to have known the people i have on here. people whom i met on rageinyourbones and followed me across to here, and people whom i met here. holy bollocks im rambling - im just gonna tag some specific people who really really made my life on here so enjoyable. the rest i'll just lump into one big post because i'm lazy like that.

@fracturedportrait - harmony. i remember meeting you the first time. i remember it so clearly. you were so chill, so spunky (god i feel old using that word), and you had such a passion for your oc. i remember the first plot we had, the inspiration we shared... who knew that it was the beginning of my greatest friendship and my #1 OTP for bryce. you were the first person whom i ever actually spoke to off tumblr (remember when i called you?? and you heard my dumb aussie accent??). i remember legitimately getting teary over memes, i remember smiling so much during our threads, i remember (and still do) laugh about us talking about how our sin is like a lovely vintage of wine. your writing consistently, unimaginably, pushes and has pushed me to better mine. with every post you made, you helped improve my writing. you are such a blessing to me and i am not going to just let this stay as some dumb tumblr friendship. we'll face time, and i'll be sure to credit you when i'm on the red carpet with natalie dormer being like 'so what made you want to write this film about a female batman?'. i'll just be like 'yo there was this really cool chick who wrote a vampire and she told me to just write this film'.

@halysborn - SWAN. ho man. do you remember when i wrote that giant meta about how dick literally changed not just bryce's life, but bruce's? i firmly believe that dick is the most important character in bruce's life. and i mean i'm talking on the same level as alfred - even more. he's the TRUE son. the son whom saved him. like i just cry about how bruce says that line - 'sometimes i think i've never done any good in my life. then i look at dick and realize i'm wrong' or whatever that actual phrase is. i PHYSICALLY VOM WHEN PEOPLE SHIP THEM. but yo that's other stuff. what's important is that you have supported me selflessly and without strings. you've supported me here, you've supported me over on deshibcsara, you've just been a consistent rock, an unyielding foundation of encouragement. i still, and will NEVER delete that voice recording where you talk about me and my love for batman. it gives me such hope and reminds me that, yeah i fuck up, but i've at least affected someone else's life and how they see batman. my only regret is that i was so goddamn slow with replying to our stuff. and that was literally because i felt like you deserved nothing but my absolute best. you are incredible, and from one aussie to another, i love you brocookie!

OK I don’t know how I slipped into Western mode there, but I did grow up in Texas. It’s never that far from me.  I’m a Californian now.

E X P E R I E N C E :

HOW LONG (MONTHS/YEARS?): I’ve only been doing online roleplay since July of 2015.

HOW’D YOU START: I’ve only been on tumblr since June of 2015. I stumbled across some online RP threads and remember thinking “What the heck is this? Collaborative storytelling?” I was instantly intrigued.

PLATFORMS YOU’VE USED: tumblr

WORST EXPERIENCE: I have never shared this story publicly here before, but there’s enough water under the bridge now, so here goes:

When I first arrived here, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, I was so excited to join the community and make friends. But I was also incredibly timid and insecure at the time, and I guess I was looking for someone to lead me. One of the very first blogs I followed was another Urahara blog, and for awhile we had a pretty good rapport. I was enthralled with their portrayal and we chatted a lot OOC about Bleach meta and Kisuke in particular. I was so new to roleplaying I didn’t even know the mechanics, and still so new to Bleach that I hadn’t even read the manga yet (I’d only seen the anime). I had such a learning curve! They really helped me get started and broaden my knowledge. But my excessive fangirling and overdependence led to some rookie roleplay etiquette mistakes. I followed the same people, made nearly identical icons, sought out nearly identical interactions, and adapted some of my headcanons based on information I gleaned from them.  And I guess I made this person uncomfortable enough that eventually they ceased all contact with me. And that hurt because I had invested more in the “friendship” than I should have. I carried a lot of guilt for awhile believing I’d committed some unforgivable roleplay sins and ruined the good rapport I had with someone, and that shook my confidence for a long time. It took me the better part of a year and a lot of encouragement from friends – one in particular – to stop beating myself up over it. I realize now that I misread them entirely and misinterpreted their helpfulness and willingness to chat as friendship.

BEST EXPERIENCE: By contrast, without question the highlight of my roleplaying experience has been the development of a deep and genuine friendship with @flashkitty. I would not have met my best friend without stumbling into this hobby!  There have also been a number of others who have encouraged me and continue to support me and make me feel welcome in this community, and I have them to thank for still being here. And roleplaying-wise, nothing makes me feel more included than when participating in a verse with multiple players.

M U S E  P R E F E R E N C E S :

FEMALE OR MALE: If this question is asking which I prefer to play, I’m not sure how to answer that! I guess I can enjoy both equally.  But I would be turned off at the prospect of playing a typical “feminine” woman. Nor do I find it a challenge to adapt to Kisuke’s male mind. My personality type is INTP, which accounts for 2.5% of the population in general and only 1% of women, which tells you how much of a typical woman I am.  (It also happens to be, I very much believe, Kisuke’s personality type!) So gender notwithstanding, I enjoy playing atypical people, I suppose.

ORIGINAL OR CANON: Both have merits. Canon characters are recognizable, usually get a lot of interaction, and present a special challenge to portray well. And I love a challenge! But OC’s are tabula rasa, blue-sky creations that allow for complete imaginative freedom and world-building. And that’s appealing in its own right. I like both!

W R I T I N G   P R E F E R E N C E S :

FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT: I love angst. Fluff’s OK as long as it doesn’t get boring. (I do struggle with that.)  I do enjoy writing slice-of-life threads, though, and I’m not sure if that’s synonymous with fluff? In my mind they’re different. I like casual banter between friends. I don’t generally write smut here. When things do get steamy, it’s only with one ship and one other writer in particular. I’m not comfortable writing it in any other context or with anyone else. And I haven’t gotten super-detailed with it on the blog.

PLOTS OR MEMES: Both!

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: Depends. If I have inspiration, I can write four or five paragraphs. Sometimes I can only think of one sentence.

BEST TIME TO WRITE: Whenever no person or project in my home is distracting me and my brain is working, lol. Which is both rare and random.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE: I would give this a definite yes! I believe that personality-wise, we have a lot in common. Physically, no, except for the hair which is really, really similar, especially when I roll out of bed in the morning (lol). But I think we approach people and situations in very similar ways, love wordplay and speak indirectly about things, and share the same sense of humor.

It’s all Fun and Games until someone throws someone else out a window. (AKA, it’s long but super informative and doesn’t read like rules at all)

On the matter of portrayal. I view these two how I view them. My headcanons do not have to be your headcanons, and I won’t put up with anyone being rude to me because of how I have come to view this character across their lives. That said, I’m always open to people letting me in on their ideas and possibly integrating them if I like them.

On the matter of ships. I multiship. I multiship with really bizarre pairings. I have no issues with throwing down for an OC, other fandoms, alternate dimensions, or even different time points of this same character. We all know that the Master, be they Missy or Master, would probably think it was a grand lark to fuck with everyone by hooking up with another life of themselves. 

That said, I will not draw lines and not ship with you because I have another ship. I will not compare your muse to another muse of the same name if I can avoid it. If I do, I apologize and tell me so I stop. I will never exclusively ship with one version of a character either. I like to play with all the people.

On the matter of Violence. Well, given the character I’m putting forth here it would be a bit ridiculous to think it’s never going to come up. That said, please be warned that this muse has a streak of casual cruelty and has a very strange relationship with pain, especially as the Master. You’ve been forewarned, though I will always discuss the situation if it turn to extreme violence or potential death.

You keep an open line with me, and I’ll do my best to do the same for you.

On the matter of sexytime. If they happen, I’ll be putting them under a cut, period. If you don’t put yours under one as well, I’ll very likely not feel comfortable continuing the thread here, just as a heads up. Nothing against you, but I prefer to not have porn all over my dash and like to extend that courtesy to those watching my blog in turn.

I tag things that aren’t cutworthy with nsfw anyway! I always tag even my non-sexual BDSM threads with nsfw as well, should those be a thing in the future.

We're halfway through 2018 and it's safe to say the internet's already had some serious ups and downs. 

If you reflect on the year thus far, your mind might wander to its low points, like when YouTuber Logan Paul filmed a dead body in Aokighara, known informally as a suicide forest in Japan, and uploaded the video online. Or maybe your mind jumps to the time Roseanne Barr made an extremely racist remark on Twitter.

Heck, perhaps you've blocked those cringe-worthy moments out because you’re too busy watching President Donald Trump spend his days angrily tweeting into the abyss. But despite all the bad the internet has offered us in 2018, it's had its fair share of good moments, too.

2. Will Smith's Instagram account

Though the world welcomed Will Smith to Instagram in December 2017, the actor and super-cool dad really hit his social media stride in the new year. 

Smith gives us everything we could ever want in a celebrity Instagram account — he serves up laughs, gives us looks into his personal life, posts those Fresh Prince of Bel-Air throwbacks we all crave, and shares photos with his family members and famous friends. We are barely worthy of your content, Will, but we're glad you're here.

3. Kids finding out they were going to see Black Panther

Since its release, Black Panther has shattered box office records and inspired tons of memes, but we're not sure anything about the franchise will ever be able to top this video of Atlanta middle school students learning they'd be going to see the film.

In one of the nicest feel-good clips out there, Wade King — teacher and director of curriculum and instruction at Ron Clark Academy — captured video of students reacting to the news.

4. The #M'BakuChallenge

Black Panther had such an impact in online communities that it wouldn't be right to simply highlight one glorious Wakanda-related internet moment. Behold: The M'Baku Challenge — a delightful trend that called on people to recreate some of the most iconic lines from Jabari tribe leader M'Baku (played by Winston Duke).

Many Black Panther fans made admirable efforts, but 7-year-old Jordan's rendition was so superb that even Michael B. Jordan showed him some love.

5. Inspiring Twitter thread of women lifting each other up

It's an absolutely beautiful sight when an overwhelming amount of positivity is born from a single act of negativity. That's what happened in May when Twitter user @lewisbcfc74 claimed to be "sick of" seeing girls complimenting each other on Instagram.

6. Meghan Markle's pre-glow up photo

When actress Meghan Markle married Prince Harry on May 19, we were blessed not only with gorgeous photos from the big day, but with photos of a young Markle in her pre-royal family days. While she was off becoming the Duchess of Sussex, the internet was busy obsessing over an old photo of the former actress as a teen tourist posing in front of Buckingham Palace in London.

7. Dramatic Little League kid

Little League is no laughing matter. Unless, of course, you're this adorable jokester who was told to run from third base to home "as fast as he can."

In one of the most dramatic moments in Little League's little history, Twitter user @TabbyRodriguez's teeny cousin Lenn completed his victory sprint in agonizing slow motion, taking more than 45 seconds to run to home base. Lenn ignored the haters, making for some absolutely perfect content.

8. Jenna Fischer telling The Office fans about Pam and Michael's airport goodbye

Fans of the beloved NBC comedy The Office still aren't ready to let go of their Scranton family. So when Jenna Fischer, who played Pam Beesley on the show, took a moment to reminisce about the emotional Goodbye, Michael episode, people were pretty pumped.

In an Instagram live, Fischer revealed to followers what her character said to Steve Carrell's during their touching airport goodbye scene. 

"That was me talking to Steve," Fischer told her Instagram followers. "I told him all the ways I was going to miss him when he left our show. Those were real tears and a real goodbye. That was a really emotional scene."

BRB, sobbing.

9. Fans coming together after Brooklyn Nine-Nine was cancelled

A brief moment of absolute panic descended upon Brooklyn Nine-Nine Twitter in May after it was revealed that the show had been cancelled by Fox.

Fans (and celebs) were distraught by the news, but quickly bounced back from mourning to fight like hell to keep the show going. And you know what? IT WORKED. In a beautiful 2018 plot twist, NBC decided to pick up the comedy for a sixth season. One of the most blessed turn of events all year.

10. Mom's viral cheesecake rant

"Do you want the fucking cake or do you not want the fucking cake?" That's the question fed-up baker and business owner Kim Copeland — and eventually thousands of others — were dying to know the answer to in May 2018. 

The internet got the rage-filled hero it needed when Twitter user @adrienne_bc shared an entertaining 2:20 long video of her mom, Copeland, contemplating a vague AF cheesecake order commitment made by some flaky person named Ginger. After reading their text exchanges, reflecting on proper cake-ordering etiquette, and explaining everything she has going on in her own busy life, Copeland straight-up went OFF, asking, "Just tell me, Ginger, do you want the fucking cheesecake?"

I wonder if Ginger will dare order another fucking cheesecake again.

11. Kendall Jenner vs. Kacey Musgraves

Ah, FEUDS! Gotta love 'em... especially when they're between celebrities, and they end far sooner than expected and in a very gentle manner, right? Thus is the story of Kendall Jenner and Kacey Musgraves' short-lived, not-actually-a-feud feud.

The tale goes like this: In May, Jenner shared a photo on Instagram of herself sipping tea on a New York City rooftop while wearing lingerie...as one does. And in the background of her picture was a Musgraves billboard, except OH WAIT. It's blurred out. *gasp*

In response Jenner's possible shade, Musgraves shared a screenshot of the Instagram post to her own story, prompting Jenner to apologize profusely for the misunderstood shade via Twitter. Jenner explained she "...didn’t edit this photo! Kacey is literally my fuckin fav! ... ask anyone of my homies i die for her!"

Aw, how nice. It's refreshing to take a breather from hardcore public feuding every so often, isn't it?

12. Busting a move at graduation

Few days in life are as important as your pre-school graduation, and 5-year-old Aubrey Toby celebrated hers to the fullest.

On stage, diploma in-hand and dressed in her purple cap and gown, the precious and fiercely talented North Carolina student proudly danced her way across the stage and towards the exciting world of kindergarten.

Toby's godfather Merle Murrain II shared footage of her busting a celebratory move to Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop The Feeling" alongside her far-less enthused classmates. She clearly stole the show and better make the graduation dance a regular part of any future ceremonies.

13. The #APESHITCHALLENGE

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have had quite the 2018 already, what with going on tour together and dropping a joint album out of nowhere. And in case that wasn't enough, they also inspired a very good viral challenge.

The #APESHITCHALLENGE was born after Bey and Jay dropped their music video for "APESHIT" (which was casually filmed at the Louvre in Paris, btw). In one scene, Beyoncé thrashes at the top of a massive staircase while dressed in a huge white gown. Fans promptly recreated the moment in their own homes, using a white bed sheet to get the effect.

14. Hillary Clinton mocking James Comey

Remember that time Hillary Clinton absolutely roasted former FBI Director James Comey on Twitter? 'Twas brilliant.

She simply couldn't resist after it was announced that Comey used a personal email account for his own official government business. Yes, this is the same Comey who opened an investigation ahead of the 2016 election into Clinton's private email account usage during her time as Secretary of State.

"But my emails," Clinton wrote, quote-tweeting news of Comey's personal email troubles. A tweet so iconic it almost lives up to "Delete your account."

15. DJ Switch

Say hello to DJ Switch, the coolest young DJ in Ghana. BBC News Africa shared a video of Erica, aka DJ Switch, who started dropping beats at the age of 9 and has been inspiring people ever since. 

"I picked the name DJ Switch because I switch up people's happiness," Erica said, explaining that while DJing is her passion, she wants to be a gynocologist when she grows up so that she can "help women."
