There's a certain type of Israelis and western liberals who want to blame all of this on Netanyahu and his far-right fascist government, citing the protests in 2020 and 2021 as proof that he's the reason why the Gaza genocide is happening right now

And the thing is, I'm a lot more educated on geopolitics than the average American so I can see that bullshit coming from a mile away, because I watched those protests and I saw one(1) person hold up a Palestinian flag and dare to ask their fellow citizens and the government to grant Palestine the same human rights they were protesting for for themselves and then I watched every protester around them try to rip the flag from their hands and proceed to beat the protester up and screamed in their face for daring to wave a flag

This is not a problem that begins or ends with Netanyahu. The genocide of the Palestinians was quite literally baked into the foundation of Israel. There are decades of ethnic cleansing and massacres that Netanyahu had no part in whatsoever

And to cite these protests where there is quite literally video evidence of people who dared to acknowledge the fact that the Palestinians were human beings that also deserved the same human rights you were protesting for for yourselves and proceeded to be brutalized by the other protesters for it as some kind of proof that this genocide is all the government's fault actually, is just like do you really think I'm so stupid that I can't see right through you?
