hi, i'm here to beg for some oc lore. what are desmond's canon choices? what would desmond's and/or alexei's date on the citadel be like? how did desmond x alexei handle the earth detention? spare oc lore??? please i love them 🥺

oooh ty for the questions i love excuses to overshare about my space blorbos <3 and sorry it took me a hot minute to answer this, i'm currently battling demons (trying to get desmond's scars right via custom texture modding)

as far as desmond's canon choices go, I tend to play him as a paragon choice maker with renegade attitude/dialogue options (though he's more neutral-paragon coded in me1. in me2 he dies and comes back Pissed Off, so he has WAY more attitude in the other 2 games) so he makes "good" choices when it matters (saving the rachni and the destiny ascension, blowing up the collector base/defecting from cerberus at the first opportunity, brokering peace between the geth and quarians, etc) but he'll also be a little unpredictable and kick mercs out of skyscraper windows when he feels like it. as a treat

a date on the citadel... could go a couple different ways honestly hffdjhfdj because desmond hardly ever spends money on himself so he uses the absurd amount of credits he accumulates to spoil the people close to him with expensive favors <3 so I could totally see him abusing his spectre status to do the whole wine-and-dine thing with alexei someplace really hard to get reservations at on the citadel. but on the other hand he also likes to cook and hardly gets a chance to (he was taught by a former captain) so I could also see him putting anderson's apartment to use to cook dinner for alexei and just have a nice night in while also abusing his spectre status to get expensive imported ingredients and drinks 🫡

alexei is more adventurous and would be thrilled with a night out (even if that ends with coming back to the apartment for dinner) because she never gets a chance to explore or let loose and she's already enamored with the citadel in general, so a fun night hitting everything at the silversun strip and shopping and trying food from every possible food stand would make them ridiculously happy <3

and OH GOD the earth detention. I think about this a lot actually. it was so sucks for them because alexei was on the citadel for her own safety (and also tending to thane by helping him keep a low profile/secret identity while also trying to find a cure/treatment for his condition) and nobody was allowed to contact desmond so. yeah. it definitely drove them insane a little bit. and I like to think that someone at least took pity on desmond moping around and letting out a sad little sigh every now and then like a dog and found a way for them to secretly communicate, like maybe james would smuggle him a holopad or something. but that made earth's comms going dark when the reapers attacked terrifying for them both and alexei would have stolen a ship and jumped there herself if thane didn't talk her out of it. they hug for a VERY long time when the normandy finally docks at the citadel (and alexei literally monitored the alliance ports for every incoming vessel and nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard the normandy had wounded onboard)
