trying to find nice older furniture for a reasonable price on facebook marketplace in SoCal is a labyrinth of overpriced Ikea and shoddy 80s cabinets and its driving me nuts
#in much more positive news i got a cute-ass vintage reading lamp for $20 today#but i need some kind of shelving unit that can hold a variety of objects and looks like it was made sometime before the 80s#this is all made worse by the fact that i love mid-century modern stuff and that's trendy as hell rn#thankfully i do also love stuff that looks more victorian but it's harder to find that in socal lol#chatterbox tag#im also really torn between finding a nice twin bedframe and keeping my loft bed#my room is small and the loft bed is a huge advantage#BUT it does not remotely match the decor look im going for these days#think men's study in a 50s movie with a dash of 'college dorm in 2022' bc im still broke af lmao#and then add three aquariums ig
