“I used to hurry a lot I used to worry a lot I used to stay out til the break of day…”
Singing along to the Eagles’ final album, I brushed my hair and pulled it up on the side like I’d done the last time I saw Harry on stage. Excitement surged through my veins as I anticipated his return to the Troubadour. It seemed like only yesterday that Halo and I had watched him and Mitch from the front row, cheering as some of their first fans from L.A.
I wished Halo was with me tonight, but because the show was a last minute thing, I couldn’t pull her away from the plans she’d already made with some guy named Georgio. She wished me and Harry the best of luck, however, and requested I give Mitch a New Year’s kiss for her, to which I snickered.
Because Harry and the band had to arrive early, and therefore I would be traveling alone, a car was sent for me. I’d tried my best to express to Harry that I could at least take a cab, but he wouldn’t hear of it. In the end, I was appreciative of his thoughtful gesture, especially when I saw the long, black car pull in front of my building.
Dropping my lipstick into my handbag, I slung it over my shoulder and spritzed myself with my favorite perfume before heading out. The driver waiting by the car gave me a nod and gentle greeting as he opened the door for me. Sliding into the back seat, I immediately felt a thrill at the obvious upgrade from having to drive my old Volkswagen to gigs. Nostalgia tugged at my heartstrings though, as I was reminded of Lovely Rita, and the drive back from Chula Vista with Harry when he’d tried his first Moon Pie and showed me the Martin at the pawn shop. It seemed like both a blip in time and a lifetime ago.
Neon lights shone brightly as the driver made a right turn, and like a beacon, I spotted the marquee with Harry’s name, directly underneath Stargazer. Yes, he’d certainly come a long way. We both had.
I’d been waiting in line for a few minutes when I heard my name called. Before I could make out his face, I felt his firm hand on my back.
“Sky, sweetheart, what are you doing out here?” asked Irving.
Blinking, I finally caught his features in the dark and my body relaxed. Catching my confusion, he chuckled.
“C’mon, VIPs don’t have to stand in line,” he said, guiding me out of the queue and up to the front door where he merely nodded at the bouncer before walking inside the club.
“Sorry, I didn’t know,” I managed to say when we crossed the threshold.
“Your spot is up front, close to the right side of the stage,” Irving gestured, ignoring my comment. “Harry requested, but I gather you knew that.”
I turned and looked at him with a grin. “Just like old times.”
Irving nodded. “Just like old times.”
“You’re on top of the world On top of the world, and you can’t get any higher You’re on top of the world You’re on top of the world tonight…”
I smiled at the fitting Cheap Trick lyrics that played as more people trickled in, claiming their spots near the stage. I knew Harry had to be feeling on top of the world tonight. Yes, he was renewing his fame in a way, starting up a new career as a solo artist. But knowing he had some good, solid songs to share, and a great new band had to feel wonderful.
The room soon began to fill up, and my excitement returned as the crowd grew around me. I wondered how many people were there to see Harry, and not just Stargazer. As soon as the band took the stage, and I heard the cheers, and even a few screams, I realized it was probably more people than I’d anticipated. While I knew Harry was a big star, I supposed I selfishly thought of him as my own.
Harry kicked off the show with one of Wildfire’s well-known hits, as if he was still with them and not a solo act. When he made his way to my side of the stage, our eyes locked and he gave me his dazzling smile, once again making my heart jump. It truly was as though I had gone back in time, and he was singing to Halo and me.
“Oh my fucking Lord, he’s as sexy as ever!” I heard someone yell behind me.
I turned slightly, half expecting to see one of the young groupies that seemed to follow Wildfire around in the early days, but I didn’t recognize the brunette. She did, however, have her cleavage on full display and shook her tits as Harry sang in front of us. When I turned back to look at him, he gave me a smirk and a half-shrug. I knew that was his way to telling me this was nothing new - it just came with the territory. I giggled to myself as he gave me a thumbs up and strode back to the other side of the stage.
The band went straight into “Only Angel” next, the crowd exploding so loudly, I almost forgot I was in the Troubadour and not the Forum. As I heard voices singing along, I knew that somehow word had gotten out that Harry would be performing tonight, long before the marquee had gone up. There were definitely a lot more fans than just a few. I wondered how Mr. Azoff had managed it as Harry returned to my side of the stage. I felt a nudge as Miss Cleavage tried to squeeze in beside me to make her presence known, and she nearly blew out my eardrum as she screamed Harry’s name.
The sheer joy on Harry’s face was all worth it though. Even though he hadn’t voiced to me his nervousness or doubt that anyone would show up for him, I could tell he was not only relieved but thrilled that his fans had arrived.
When “Only Angel” ended, Harry took the mic stand with a huge grin and a sigh.
“Hi, I’m Harry,” he said, earning more cheers. “Thank you so much for coming tonight.”
“Harry!” one girl screamed, surprisingly not Miss Cleavage.
“Hi, darling,” Harry chuckled, just before another girl yelled, “I love you!”
“I love you, too,” Harry genuinely replied, his hand over his heart. Then after turning to the band, he quickly said, “this is a new song.”
I heard the beginning riff to “Ignition”, and I smiled knowing the crowd was going to love it. I was right, and by the end everyone was singing along to the catchy chorus.
“That’s a damn good song!” I heard a guy to my right yell.
The band played another of Wildfire’s tracks before Harry spoke into the microphone again. He pushed his hair from his face, his expression serious. Then he knelt down to guzzle something from a glass at his feet. When he stood back up, he flipped his hair once more, the long locks flowing down his neck. He looked so sexy, I felt chills down to my toes.
“It’s been a while since I performed here at the Troubadour,” Harry began, “with my old band, Wildfire.”
The room hooted and hollered, making him smile.
“I want to thank Stargazer for letting me share the spotlight.”
More cheers.
“And more than anything, I want to thank you for showing up. And for all the love and support over the years.”
The crowd yelled even louder, and I heard several more “I love yous”.
Dimples on full display, Harry turned to the band to begin introducing them. My stomach soured when he addressed Bret, whom I hadn’t been paying attention to all night on purpose. I had decided not to tell Harry about what he’d done, not just for my own personal reasons, but for the sake of the band. It had just been one incident, albeit unpleasant. And regardless of my opinion of him, Bret was a good drummer, and Harry needed him. I was willing to leave it at that.
When Harry mentioned Mitch’s name, however, I heard the room cheer loudly once again. Mitch even bowed, allowing his moment with the fans.
“Now,” Harry continued into the mic, his fingers through his hair, “we have a couple more songs before we have to give the stage to Hunter and his crew.”
I heard a few groans of disappointment muffled in with the cheers which made me laugh. I caught the look of humor on Harry’s face as he turned in my direction.
Then pointing right at me, he said, “This one’s for you, babe.”
As the opening to “Drunk on Her” began, I felt my body melt. The song meant so much more now that I knew what it was about.
“Oh my God, was he pointing at me?” screeched Miss Cleavage.
I laughed to myself as Harry made his way toward me, stopping just inches from the brunette. I decided to let her think he had. She deserved her moment as well. It didn’t hurt anybody, least of all me.
Once again, the band finished with “Honky Tonk Women,” the entire audience joining in. I half wondered how many people were staying to see Stargazer as Harry thanked everyone again for coming.
“Happy New Year,” he announced into the mic before he left the stage, waving and blowing kisses.
I quickly followed, hoping I’d run into Mr. Irving before reaching the backstage door. I suddenly stopped in my tracks, however, when I saw the busty brunette had made it there before me.
“Sorry, doll,” a hefty man waved her away, “this is for band and crew only.”
“Oh please!” she cried, jutting out her chest. “I just need to see him for a moment. It’s really important!”
“I’m sure it is, sweetheart,” the man smirked.
As Miss Cleavage turned with a pout, the man spotted me close behind her.
“Don’t tell me you have something important to tell him, too.”
“Actually-” I began.
“Actually, she’s with the band,” Irving interrupted, grabbing my elbow.
With a sigh of relief, I followed him to the door.
“Oh, yes, sorry sir.”
I chuckled at both Mr. Irving’s silence and at the look on Miss Cleavage’s face when the backstage door opened and closed behind us.
“You were on fire, Styles, I’m tellin’ ya!” I heard a voice declare. “You all were. A really solid band you got here!”
Further down the hall I spotted Harry as he grinned at Hunter Howe. The rest of the band members circled around, all beaming with pride.
“Thanks, mate,” said Harry.
“I agree!” I smiled, announcing my arrival.
Harry turned to look at me, his grin widening.
“There’s my girl,” he said, reaching his arm out to me. As I tucked myself into his side, he addressed Hunter.
“This is the woman I was telling you about,” he beamed. “Sky, Hunter. Hunter…my beautiful Sky.”
My heart flipped at hearing that Harry talked about me with other people.
“She is beautiful, indeed,” agreed Hunter before extending his hand. “Nice to finally meet you, Sky. Harry can’t stop talking about you.”
“It’s nice to meet you, too.”
“I’d wanted to introduce you last time, but you know…” Harry gazed down at me with a smirk, “we had to leave early, didn’t we?”
My face flushed at the memory of that night and how we’d rushed home to his place. Harry chuckled low when I playfully pushed him away in embarrassment.
“Jeez, you two…”
I looked up to see Bret shaking his head, his arms crossed over his chest. I narrowed my eyes at him, but he only rolled his back at me. I wasn’t sure if Harry had even heard his remark, let alone his visual contempt, so I let it go.
Irving, who had been chatting with another man near the door, stepped over and gave the band his praise. Then I caught him whispering something in Mitch’s ear to which he nodded, then Mr. Azoff vanished once again.
A few other guys walked up then, and Hunter quickly introduced me to the rest of his band. Announcing it was a band tradition to take a shot together before going on stage, bassist Ricky, and drummer Fozzy passed around shots to everyone. Fozzy made a toast to both bands, we all cheered and downed the drinks. I felt a little dizzy as I blinked my eyes and looked at Harry. He chuckled at my obvious state, asking how many drinks I’d had.
“None, actually,” I declared, chin up. “I was too busy getting drunk on you.”
“Ohhhh, shit Styles, she used your line,” Fozzy laughed.
“I’d say she’s a smitten kitten,” added Hunter, wiggling his brows.
Before I could get a full reaction from Harry, Stargazer’s road manager, Charlie whatshisname whom I recognized from that night at the other club - the one who had given me the heebie jeebies - walked up.
“Time to hit the stage, boys,” he said.
Hunter and crew waved and the rest of us wished them the best and promised to come watch from the side.
As soon as the door shut behind the band, I finally caught Harry staring at me from the corner of my eye. His sexy eyes studied me for a moment while his dimples dipped in his cheeks. Then pulling me to him, he nuzzled his face in my hair as he groaned in my ear.
“God damn, you look amazing.”
“Not as amazing as you,” I murmured, sliding my hand down his exposed chest.
I could smell the sweat that glistened on his skin, and if it weren’t for the other guys standing so close, I would have done more. As it was, Harry surprised me by leaning down to kiss me hard on the mouth, his tongue darting between my lips. He tasted of whiskey and sweat, and I heard myself moaning before I realized what I’d done.
“Jesus Christ, man, should we leave or are you planning to fuck her right here, against the wall?”
“Easy, man…” I heard Mitch mutter as Harry’s lips separated from mine.
“What the fuck did you just say?” Harry scowled at his drummer.
“Hey, take it easy, Harry,” Bret chuckled, his hands up. “I was just joking, man.”
I held onto Harry’s hand, hoping to ease the tension.
“D’you see me laughing?” asked Harry, his jaw set.
“Harry…,” I urged, sliding my other hand up his arm.
“I didn’t find that very funny,” he added, his eyes still shooting daggers at Bret. “I don’t wanna hear one word come out of your mouth about my girlfriend, got that?”
“Harry!” I said a little louder. “It’s okay! He didn’t mean anything by it.”
“C’mon man, what d’you expect?,” Bret shook his head. “You shoved your tongue down her throat.”
“And what’s your fucking point?” Harry shouted.
“Nothin’, man! It was a joke! Stop taking everything so seriously, for crying out loud!”
I took a gander at Danny who looked befuddled, and Mitch who merely stood stoic and unphased by the whole thing. I recalled the incident in the hotel hallway with Lee, and for a moment I wondered if this sort of situation had happened with another girl Harry had dated. Perhaps this was nothing new to Mitch, and he had seen it coming.
I felt some of the tension begin to ease from Harry’s muscles, though his eyes were still piercing.
“I swear to God, if you say one-”
“It’s my fault, baby,” I interrupted.
“What?” Harry finally turned to me in surprise.
“I’ve just been all over you since I got here. They’re probably sick of me,” I chuckled nervously.
“Babe, you didn’t-”
“No, really. I’ve kind of made this night about me, and it’s not. It’s about you guys. Let’s just…let it go. Okay?”
Harry blew a breath from his nose and nodded. “Yeah…yeah, fine.”
Bret sighed loudly as he ran his hands through his long hair. Then grabbing a beer from a nearby table and pushing the door open hard, he strutted out to the club.
“Let’s go watch Stargazer!” I urged emphatically, pulling on Harry’s hand.
With slight hesitation, he grinned at me, throwing his arm around me again.
“What the hell just happened?” I heard Danny mutter to Mitch as they walked past us to the door.
I’d like to know that too, I thought to myself. But I figured I already knew the answer.
I could hear the audience cheer as the band started into their second song. I was a bit disappointed we’d missed their intro. The tension was still thick in the air as we walked out the door to stand near the stage. Bret made sure to stand several feet away from us, his arms crossed like a pouting toddler.
By the middle of Stargazer’s set, however, I’d just about forgotten about Harry’s drummer and the little fiasco. If Harry wasn’t cheering along with the audience, his arms raised in the air, he was bringing us drinks, wrapping his arms around me from behind and swaying with me.
“Are you having fun?” he asked me, his chin on my shoulder when a song ended and Hunter chatted with the crowd.
“Of course,” I grinned, feeling the effects of the alcohol. “Are you?”
“Mmm, very much,” he slurred, squeezing me around the waist. “I think I’m a little drunk.”
“A little?” I teased.
He giggled in my ear and I patted his cheek. Then he turned me to face him, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
“I love being in love with you,” he said.
I beamed up at him in awe, unable to form any words other than, “me too.”
“Alright, everybody, it’s almost midnight!” I heard Hunter announce. “Everybody get your partner if you have one! If not…well, you can count down with me, okay?”
I smiled up at Harry as he continued to pet my hair. His eyelids were heavy, his gaze sensual. The band revved up for the countdown, and I heard Hunter and the audience cheer, “Ten…Nine…”
I began to mouth the numbers as Harry did the same.
“Two…One…”
Harry kissed me hard again, just like before when we were backstage, with urgency and desire. His hands cradled my head, his fingertips buried in my hair while his tongue wrestled with mine. My own hands were trapped between our chests, so all I could do was grab hold of his shirt. Harry’s appetite was palpable, and I wondered how long he could hold out before dragging me out of the club again to take me home. Even more, I wondered how long I could hold out myself.
The crowd around us all cheered as Hunter and his band played a rendition of “Auld Lang Syne.” But they might as well have been in another room. Harry’s kiss was all that mattered.
Managing to free my hands, I pulled them down to his waist and looped my fingers through his front belt loops. I felt him smile against my mouth before he released me.
“Too much?” he smirked.
“Nuh uh,” I breathed, shaking my head.
“Happy New Year, babe.”
“Happy New Year, Harry. I love you.”
“I love you too,” he murmured, his lips finding my jaw. “You’re so fucking sexy…I can’t…” his words trailed off as Spencer, Stargazer’s lead guitarist, broke into a loud, screaming guitar solo and the crowd went wild.
“We should probably watch that show,” I said, licking my lips, “instead of making one of our own.”
Harry winked at me and nodded, throwing his arm around me and facing the stage. I slid my hand around his waist, letting my hand slip into his back pocket. While we continued to watch Stargazer, I caught a flicker of something going on to my right. That was when I saw Bret making out with Miss Cleavage. I nearly burst out laughing, grateful I didn’t have a beverage in my hand because I surely would have dropped it.
“What?” Harry asked.
I gestured to his drummer. “Look who found someone.”
Harry snorted and shook his head, returning his attention back to the band on stage.
“Are you still mad at him?” I asked meekly.
I watched Harry’s jaw harden before he blinked and muttered, “We’ll talk about it later.”
For a short moment, I wondered if there was more to the story that I was unaware of. Had Harry had a confrontation with Bret before? I knew that he considered Bret a flirt, but despite the fact that Harry’d had a few drinks, the debacle backstage seemed to come out of nowhere. He didn’t know anything about the evening before at the studio, did he?
I finished watching Stargazer’s set with my arm still around Harry. As they ended the show and the crowd cheered, Harry and I included, I happened to notice that Bret and the busty brunette were gone. Harry took my hand to guide me backstage again, where he returned the praise that Hunter had given him.
“Thanks, man,” he said, his long hair damp with sweat. “So are we ready to go back on the road, or what?”
“Yeah, you guys got a tour booked already?” asked Harry.
“We do,” Hunter nodded. “But I didn’t mean just Stargazer. I mean us. Both bands, just like before.”
“Seriously?” Harry’s eyes widened.
Hunter chuckled, turning to his manager. “Tell ‘em, Charlie.”
“Stargazer’s going on tour,” explained Charlie. “They’re booked for six months, possibly more. They just need an opening act.”
“Really? When?”
“First show is in Lakeland, Florida in three weeks,” Charlie added.
Harry looked from Charlie to Hunter who shrugged. “I know it might feel strange, or like a downgrade, Harry, since we opened for you last. But we'd love to have you on tour.”
I noticed Irving had joined the circle, though I’d missed his entrance.
“But…the album’s not done yet,” Harry pointed out.
“I think it’s pretty close,” Irving offered. “It should be finished in time.”
Harry looked between Mitch and Danny. “What d’you two think?”
“Hey man, I’m with you, whatever you choose,” said Danny.
“I think it’s a great idea,” added Mitch.
“Right on,” grinned Hunter. Rubbing his chin, he looked at Harry. “You may wanna do something about your drummer, though.”
Harry raised his brows in surprise. “Why?”
“Well, he was practically fornicating in the audience during our set,” Hunter said lightly, though I could tell from his eyes he was serious.
While I hadn’t seen Bret since the show had ended, I wondered where he’d gone off to.
Danny chuckled, “Seriously?”
“Yeah, man, you didn’t see him?” added Hunter.
“I saw him,” muttered Mitch.
Harry turned to me. “We just saw him snogging some chick.”
“Oh it was much more than that,” Hunter laughed. “Had her tits out of her shirt and everything.”
Harry scoffed. “Not like you haven’t had girls flash you before.”
“Harry, I don’t think that’s what he means,” interjected Mr. Irving.
I watched Harry’s expression fall as he groaned and ran a hand down his face. “Fuck. Where is he anyway?”
Mitch and Danny both shrugged as Irving patted Harry on the back.
“It may not be that serious yet, Harry. We just want to make sure the band is on the same page before going out on tour.”
“You’re not enforcing another no girls rule, are you?”
Mr. Azoff chuckled, surprising me and everyone else. “No, son. I promise.”
Before any of us could comment, a raucous noise sounded at the end of the hall, and a door swung open, slamming against the wall.
“Speak of the Devil,” I remarked as Bret stumbled out, his arm around Miss Cleavage, both clearly inebriated, if not more.
“Motherfucker,” Harry muttered, fists at his sides.
“Don’t, baby-” I protested, grabbing his arm when I saw him ready to lunge at his drummer.
“Hey, guys!” shouted Bret, making his way toward the group. “How’s it hangin’?”
Harry huffed. “You tell us.”
“What d’ya mean?”
“Where the fuck have you been?”
“Aw, y’know, nowhere. Just…spendin’ time with…shit, what’s your name again?” Bret addressed the brunette.
“Chelsea,” she laughed. “You know that!”
“Oh that’s right,” Bret nodded before acknowledging the group again. “Chelsea. Isn’t she somethin’?”
“She’s somethin’ alright,” Harry snarled.
I caught a smirk from Mitch just as Mr. Irving approached the duo.
“She’s a real peach,” he added. “Bret, can I have a word with you? In private?”
“What for?”
“Sweetheart?” Irving nodded. “Chelsea, is it?”
“Yeah.” She stuck out her tits again. Did this girl have no shame?
“Chelsea, doll, would you mind waiting by the bar? We’ll just be a few minutes.”
“Oh. Yeah. Sure thing.”
Swinging her hips and smacking her gum, Chelsea strutted down the hall to the club, but not before making sure she turned to look at Harry. I caught her obvious, lusty gaze plain as day, but I figured there were bigger fish to fry.
“Gentlemen, if you’ll come with me,” requested Irving, gesturing to another door. “Harry’s band I mean.”
“Be right back,” Harry said, giving me a quick kiss.
“Alright, Sky,” Hunter raised a brow to me. “Looks like you may have to be the glue that holds this band together.”
“Me?” I shook my head. “I’m just Harry’s girlfriend.”
Hunter nodded with a laugh. “Yup. That’s a big enough job in itself.”
I was going to ask what he meant by his remark when Charlie asked him to go help pack up their equipment.
“See you later, Sky,” he said, leaving me alone in the hallway.
Deciding there was no use in me waiting there, I pushed the door open and made my way to the bar. Chelsea sat at the corner. Choosing the stool beside hers, I ordered a beer.
“Did you enjoy the show?” I asked as the bartender poured the beer from the tap.
It took her so long to look at me, I wondered if she heard me or was just choosing to ignore me.
“Are you talking to me?” Chelsea finally asked.
“Yes,” I nodded.
“Do I know you?”
“Um…yeah? You’re Chelsea, right? I just saw you backstage? With Bret?”
“So?”
“So…I’m Harry’s girlfriend. Sky.”
I extended my hand to be friendly. But Chelsea was having none of it. Instead she snorted.
“Girlfriend, right.”
“Well, I am. And…I was just trying to be nice.”
I considered getting up and moving, but I figured I’d done nothing wrong. So I stared straight ahead and sipped on my beer.
“There’s a weapon that we must use In our defense, silence…”
I sang along softly to the Go-Go’s tune that had become one of my favorites that year, but seemed extremely fitting as I ignored the huffs and glares coming from Miss Cleavage next to me. I noticed her stir her little cocktail with its little straw, sipping it moderately and deliberately, until she reached the ice. Setting it on the bar with the clunk, she finally addressed me again.
“Since when does Harry Styles have a girlfriend?”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“I mean, he’s been known as a playboy since day one. Even that last girl he was seen with wasn’t serious. He said so in an interview.”
“Hmm,” I sounded before lifting my beer to my lips. “What interview was that?”
“I don’t remember. Circus or Rolling Stone, I think.”
“Well,” I shrugged, taking another sip. “I must have missed that one.”
Chelsea puffed out a breath and snarled at me. “You wish, you groupie!”
I laughed, suddenly thinking of Halo. And just like an angel sent down from heaven, Harry rounded the corner, his mouth curling into a smile.
“There you are!” he greeted, his hand quickly finding my back.
“Hi, handsome,” I smiled up at him. “You wanna join me and Chelsea here for a drink?”
With a smirk, Harry leaned forward and whispered, “No, I’m ready to take you home.”
“Oh,” I mouthed, my face suddenly flushed. “You don’t have to pack up?”
“Nah, the guys got it taken care of.”
With the biggest grin on my face, I slid off the barstool and took his hand.
“Take me home,” I begged softly, licking my lips. “Oh! Wait!”
Digging in my jeans pocket, I pulled out a twenty and laid it on the bar.
“Drinks are on me, Chelsea. Have a good night!”
“What was that for?” Harry chuckled as he guided me out of the bar.
“Nothing,” I shook my head. “How was the meeting?”
Harry groaned. “I’d rather not talk about it tonight.”
“Fair enough.”
I knew I had probably left Chelsea with a dropped jaw, but I didn’t bother to look. Not she, nor anyone else, was going to ruin what I had with Harry. He was mine, and I was his.
And we were madly in love.
“Doesn’t matter what they say In the jealous games people play…”

Chapter 9
Chapter 10: Vintage
Group Chat: Your favorite hoes
Members: Lydia, Beth
Lydia: How was the date with Bob, just Bob? Any good action?
Beth: It was good.
Beth: Real good.
You: Details!
Beth: Let's just say he has a bit of an oral fixation and he's definitely more of a giver, 😉
Lydia: It all makes sense. Like he knew he had to be really great at eating pussy to make up for some of the initial blandness
Beth: You're so vulgar
Lydia: But you love me for it, 😍
You: Still waters run deep…..like his tongue deep inside you
Beth: Not you too.
Beth: Speaking of the devil, he's calling. Buh-bye
It's Saturday morning and you're pulling together the last few items for your day bag for the air show. You're looking forward to spending the day with Jake and checking out the vintage aircraft. Jake is picking you up here shortly, he mentioned something about having the better car for today and purposely remained vague on details.
I'm looking out the window when you see a turquoise vintage Corvette convertible pull up with the fabric top up. You can't see who is driving as the car stops at the curb in front of your house. A familiar head of blond hair followed by a leather bomber jacket with mission patches unfolds out of the driver's seat. Jake is of course wearing his aviators. He just smiles wide and stretches his arms out presenting the car, he shouts,
"A vintage ride to a vintage air show!" as you walk out to meet him. He runs around the car to greet you with a hug and a kiss and opens the door for you.
"Ooh, vintage manners too," you coo as you get into the car. He shuts your door and walks around the car and climbs into the driver seat. He starts the car and you are off towards Chula Vista where the fly in is being held.
"You know, if you had told me you had a 61 Corvette when we first met, I might have been nicer to you," you say as he pulls on the freeway heading south from San Diego, hand trailing on the dash.
"The lady knows her cars," Jake replies.
"Of course I do, I'm the daughter of an automotive engineer from Michigan. In fact my dad worked for GM."
"And yet you drive a Honda CR-V, the store brand vanilla ice cream of cars." He teases back.
"Yeah, it's definitely utilitarian and I got a good deal on it from a friend who was moving overseas. Besides, I drive way too many miles for my job to have anything like this."
The rest of the drive passes quickly and soon you're pulling into the lot at the general aviation airport hosting the event. Jake and you walk up to the entrance and grab a map,
"So where do we want to go first? Ooh, they have a World War 2 section," you ask scanning the map. Jake hooks his chin on your shoulder to peek at the map. He scans the map and says,
"That sounds good, we'll have to make sure to see the fighters," Jake says pointing at the map from over your shoulder.
"I wouldn't dare miss that, dear," you say to Jake as you kiss his cheek. It comes so naturally to you that the intimacy of the gesture doesn't register till you start walking handing hand towards where the World War II planes are arranged on the tarmac. This has definitely moved past fuck buddies and you try to convince yourself it's just friends with benefits, ignoring the slight panic that flutters up in your gut.
There are dozens of aircraft from World War II lined up on the tarmac. You and Jake find yourself gravitating to the bombers.
“These always intrigued me because of just how many people were in a crew, how many people it took to fly these and hit targets. All of that stuff we can just do with one or two people now," you say as you wander around a B-29.
“I’ve always liked the WWII bombers for the nose art, mostly the pin up girls to be honest. I had a few posters of some of them on your wall in high school. Closest I could get to putting up a bikini model poster without my mom freaking out,” Jake replies.
You laugh at the thought of Jake as horny teenager looking at pin up girls for hormonal inspiration.
“So, you’re saying you like the pin up look.”
“I’d have you on the side of my jet, but I think the Navy’s not going to be into that,” he leans in closer and whispers,
“But that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t ravage you the second I saw you all gussied up like that.”
He points up to the classic nose art of a woman astride a bomb, skimpy red dress and heels, and Jessica Rabbit style red hair. You make a mental note for later.
You’ve traversed most of the air show and you finally get to fighter jet row after lunch from a food truck. The way Jake kept catching your eye as you were trying to eat a ridiculously large Italian sausage made you nearly choke on it with laughter.
“You’re going to kill me if you keep that up,” you joke as you bump shoulders with him.
“Whatever do you mean? I just see a woman really enjoying a large girthy sausage,” he replies back with an innocent look.
As you walk through the planes it's apparent whoever curated the show did a great job with lining the aircraft up in chronological order. It’s easy to see the evolution of the planes. Jake stops when we get to a F-14 Tomcat.
“Maverick flew one of these when he was at Top Gun,” he says.
Climbing up the step ladder you check out the cockpit. All the same elements that are in the jets you work on are there, but they're so rudimentary compared to what we equip aircraft with now.
“It’s like looking back at a stone hammer versus buying one at Home Depot,” you say. “There’s actually a few guys I work with who worked on the F-16s around the time this was made by Grunnam.”
“It does give me a tiny, tiny” he pinches his fingers together, “bit more respect for the old man to have shot down as many planes as he has when he had this to work with.”
The afternoon is getting hot so you call it and head back to Jake’s car, the turquoise is easy to spot in the field of cars. As we get closer, Jake looks at you and asks,
“How about I put the top down and we can drive back by the coast?”
“That sounds good,” you quickly find a hair tie out of your purse and pull your hair back to keep it from flying around in the wind as we drive. After navigating through town you finally make it out to the main coast road that will take you back to Coronado Island. The wind noise is so loud you can’t really talk, but you find yourself looking at Jake a lot of the way back and just how beautiful he is especially with the setting sun behind him as we drive. Every once in a while he catches you staring and smiles that panty dropper smile of his.
You see a sign for a scenic turnout and you point it out to Jake. He nods, turning the car into the gravel lot and pulls to the far end of the lot. You get out to stretch our legs and watch the sunset. As you lean against the front of the car Jake wraps his arm around you and you curl into his side as the cool ocean breeze rolls in. The sun slowly sets and Jake turns to kiss you. You stand up between Jake's legs where he is leaning on against the car. He is finally at a height where you can access his lips easily. You reach in his bomber jacket and wrap your arms around his back. He grabs your hips and pulls you in close. The kiss deepens and you can feel that familiar tug low in your belly. Grabbing the lapels of his jacket you pull him in closer. The kissing and sliding of hands over each other's bodies starts to build, the heat between you rising.
Jake stands up to his full height and gently pushes you away and runs to the back of the car and starts to pull the top of the car into place. His plan becomes clear when he sits down in the passenger seat and pats his lap. You're thankful you're wearing a dress. Jake is already hauling his pants and boxers down and stroking his cock. He pulls a condom out of his pocket and rolls it on as he watches you walk up to the open door, lean down and slip your underwear off and climb in. As you straddle his lap Jake closes the door. He reaches in between you and grabs the base of his cock and guides himself into you. You sink down on him as far as you can. He pants out between groans,
"Fuck, El, so good."
Jake reaches up to push the denim jacket you have over your sundress off and slide the straps of your dress and bra down exposing your breasts. His firms hands slide up and palm your tits as he works each nipple with his mouth and rough fingers.
The pleasure of his mouth and hands becomes too much and you start to ride him, desperate to quell the ache between your thighs. Your moans get louder and breathier and Jake pants out a few words,
"God damn, El, ride my cock."
His hands have slipped down your side and are holding the globes of your ass. He pulls your dress over your hips and kneads at the flesh of your ass.
Fucking his head to yours he whispers,
"Such a pretty ass, makes me want to slap and spank it."
He grabs and holds you still against his cock as he squeezes your butt hard.
You clench around him at the thought of his big hands leaving red hand prints on your smooth flesh.
He chuckles, having picked up on your response to his dirty thoughts.
"Oh El, you dirty girl. You want me to slap your ass, make it hurt a little, hurt in a good way?"
You can't control the whine that escapes your throat while you rock into him harder. Taking your response as permission he pulls back his hand and lands a resounding slap on your soft flesh. The sound is deafening in the closed car. You whine in pleasure at the flash of pain.
"You like that?" he asks, in a soft tone.
You duck your head into his neck, a little embarrassed, but oh so turned on. Ignoring the thought of your feminist credentials being tarnished by this, you reply,
"Yes, I do."
He slaps your other cheek, and says,
"Say 'Yes, sir.'"
You pull your head back and look him directly in the eyes and challenge him and gain back a little control,
"I do, Lieutenant."
He raises an eyebrow and pulls his mouth into that smirk right before he slaps both of your cheeks at the same time. The delicious pain ricochets down through your clit causing you to clench hard around him finally breaking his cool facade,
"Fuck, so good.'
You start to lift up and down on Jake's cock at a faster pace while he rubs your ass, keeping it warm and the hint of pain lingering. Your mutual heavy breathing fills the car. Jake moves one hand to place his thumb over your clit and starts slowly rolling circles around your sensitive point. The slowness of his touch is contrast to your frantic pace. His other hand pulls your head down to him and he gives you a filthy kiss as he says,
"You ride me so good, like you were made to do that, El."
"Yes, Lieutenant, your cock is so good. Give it to me, please," you whine in response.
The tension is starting to build in your belly and you keep riding Jake even though your legs are starting to ache and shake with strain.
Jake's hand on your ass is helping lift you each time and to keep your pace going.
His thumb on your clit pushes down harder and he slaps your ass at the same time, breaking that wave of pleasure over you.
"Fuck, fuck, oh my god," you rasp as your release triggers Jake's and he goes slack under you, the tension released.
The air in the car is thick with your deep breaths as you both come down from your highs. You tuck your head into Jake's neck and he wraps his strong arms around you. You and him just exist for a few minutes, still joined.
The casual closeness of the moment startles you, the safety and security, and mostly just how right it feels to be in Jake's arms. It overwhelms you, sending a niggling sense of panic and alarm through you. That familiar wave of vulnerability and fear rolls through you and you push back off Jake's chest, desperate to get rid of these feelings. This is not what you had planned on, developing feelings for him, not for anyone after Liam. Jake's arms are still around your waist, his head leaned back and his eyes closed, he doesn't pick up on your unease.
Your next words are chosen intentionally to break the spell you're under.
"Hey there, did I fuck your brains out there, Lieutenant?" you ask as Jake comes back to reality. His cock twitches inside you as you say Lieutenant. He looks into your eyes with an expression that you can't place, almost hopeful and wistful, and you know that the enormity of the moment has surrounded him also. Your own panic and doubt starts to swell as he pulls your head down for one more deep kiss before you separate hoping to quell this tsunami of emotions brewing in you. You step out of the car and rummage around in your purse to find some tissues to clean up, handing some to Jake as you piece yourselves back together and get back on the road.
The ride back is quiet, the night turned dark. Jake has taken your hand in his and is rubbing his thumb on the back of yours as he drives. As you slow down and roll through the residential streets to get back to your house, he asks,
"Hungry?”
The question startles you from your thoughts, and you fumble for an answer,
“Yes, I was too into the scenery to think about dinner till now.”
He grins back at you full of self satisfaction as you realize the secondary meaning of your statement. You give him an affectionate eye roll in return.
“Want to hit the Hard Deck? You can’t beat the fish tacos,” he asks.
“Works for me,” you reply, happy that they'll be something to redirect your attention and thoughts when you get there.
It doesn’t take long for you to pull into the parking lot and the place is its usual level of busy for an early Saturday night. Jake parks the car and you walk over hand in hand to the entrance when Jake suddenly stops, his shoes crunching on the gravel in response the abruptness of his motion, and says,
“Shit, my squadron is here.”

The Tour Of Fuck It We Ball Part 3: The Return Of The King (this is about tai… and the band of hobbits, not mikeyway) Days 7-10 of US Tourdust: North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre (Chula Vista, California), BMO Stadium (Los Angeles, California, night 1), KROQ Helpful Honda Sound Space (Los Angeles, California, secret show), BMO Stadium (Los Angeles, California, night 2), Shoreline Amphitheatre (Mountain View, California)
For the California stretch of the tour you need to understand the mood was set early on day 7 when instagram user mikeyway posted a picture of Andy with a teensy tiny little puppy. And then kept posting updates from stage side. It was extra upsetting for the people who rely on streams because for a while there the only updates we were getting were from mikey fuckin way posting pictures to his stories. When it was time for Saturday, mikey fuckin' way went on stage and played bass.
For the piano segment:
On day 7 Patrick said he didn't have anything interesting to say because he sings the interesting things and then we got a song Pete suggested, it was nothing compares 2 u by Prince.
Day 8 he said "i practice this at some point it's just a matter of if they will come back" and then played Mr. Blue Sky (Electric Light Orchestra cover) and then he did something new, he didn't follow that with don't stop believin', he followed it with Golden.
Next day they also had time so he got to do another cover/fob dual piano mystery medley with Every Breath You Take by The Police followed by I've Got This Ringing.
Finally, it took Patrick 10 days and probably a lot of restraint to play an Elvis Costello cover, Allison.
The relentless attack of the magic 8 ball which cannot be bartered with, cannot be persuaded, sees no friends or enemies, and so on and so forth continued, with new twists:
For Day 7 we didn't get any setlists, but the magic 8 ball song was (Coffee's For Closers) ("Should we play a new song we've never played before?/Should we play a fucking song from Folie à Deux?"). Very disappointingly, there was no waltz at the end as was tradition. But we did get theatrics.
LA featured a new twist, 2 8 Ball songs per night. We were unprepared. We did not have the setlists until after the 8 balls hit. They also taught us there could be repeats. We'll get to Pete's Very Specific Phrasing of his explanation after this segment.
Day 8 was GINASFS ("Should we play an old ass b side? no Should we play an old B side?") followed by America's Suitehearts ("Should we play a song off Folie à Deux?"). (GINASFS did not get a codename (other than generally standing for Gay Is Not A Synonym For Shitty), America's Suitehearts' codename was ASS)
Day 9 we got another (After) Life Of The Party ("Should we play an old B side?"), followed by Bang The Doldrums ("Should we play another old one?/Is this one gonna be a doozy?") (Codenames were Sierra Amazon and then Yankee Hotel Hotel. Because the pirate song Yo Ho Hos.) You can see Pete's written his part of Doldrums on the setlist!
Also on day 9 in response to "The magic 8 ball cannot be intimidated, cannot be bartered with. It seeks not friends nor cares for enemies that it makes" Patrick said "This 8 ball gets more intimidating every night" and was met with "I know. The 8 ball does not care how much you rehearse any of this shit". Truer words have never been spoken.
For day 10 it was back to a single 8 ball song, The Patron Saint Of Liars And Fakes ("Should we play a song off that record where we were sitting on a fucking couch on the cover?", Codename: PATRIZZY S). Pete was clearly feeling very inspired for the code names these days.
We also have more information and confirmation to their obfuscation efforts, someone who went to la2(day 9) also said on discord that their tour guide "said that even the crew other than one front of house person doesn’t get to know the surprise song in advance bc they sound check it in the inner ears only".
Days 8 and 9 were back to back with each other, so naturally, the reasonable thing to do with those hours between shows was to give an interview, and then a whole other secret show:
The interview gave us the very important information that once a song is played in the 8 ball it becomes fair game on the setlist. We thought that was to clarify that GINASFS got a repeat on the 8 ball slot. It wasn't and that very night we found out it meant "it becomes fair game at ANY point on the setlist". That answer also features him masterfully dodging the question of what GINASFS means to him.
It also inexplicably featured Pete pulling out a bunny puppet, that he proceeded to have answer "only the questions i'm nervous about". Look it's a lot to list here, so here's a compilation of every emotional support bunny moment, ft. Patrick interacting with the bunny. So far it hasn't been seen again.
It is very important that everyone reading this knows they had spinny chairs.
There were also other nice things to know (some overlap with the bunny supercut) like Patrick's not at all revisionist sounding take on the hiatus' meaning, Patrick's neighbor trying to be very tactful about the MANIA-sm(f)s wait and Joe being happy to be back. Oh yea and we found out that at no point did the flamethrower bass come with training in pyrotechnics
Pete spoke at one point during the show, and mentioned getting high and staring at a friend pissing, as a Wentzian metaphor and also as a story that happened to him.
Unmentioned until now but The Academy Is… were openers for Wrigley and this subleg of the tour. In Wrigley Sisky took over bass playing for Saturday. And he did it again on day 9. Not only that, but Bilvy finally sang his part during the performance of Sophomore Slump which was added to the main setlist for that night.
And that's not how we found out 8 ball songs are fair game to any placement on the setlist. We found out because during the attic scene they played Homesick At Space Camp.
Oh yeah and one of these shows was on July 3rd, you know what that means… That's right, it's Terminator 2 day, only significant thing to happen. There's no songs aptly named for the day after this. Pete made 2 whole references to Terminator 2. 0 references to the other country that celebrates independence the same day as the Philippines.
It's become increasingly apparent that Pete sometimes adds more narrative to his recurrent speeches, here's the version of his screwtop bottle of wine speech from day 7 where he adds a step after drinking.
Day 8 featured the lava boots speech, and a little about when they moved to LA in the pre-non-encore speech, without any details. But it was something that was rattling in his brain
He also added more for his pre-non-encore speech on day 9. This one's heavy. He talks about their time recording FUTCT and laying under a blanket thinking about death. And how he doesn't lay under a blanket thinking about death anymore
To bring things into something more upbeat, there was a lot of banter on day 10, including one where they almost spoil succession, ft. Andy intervening to take this tour into a real comedy act.
And now for the Fashion & Friendship corner, because fuck it, Pete keeps getting described as being in his Malibu MILF for Gay People era, and they sure are friends:
Our resident Barbara Millicent Wentz, at some point, got an update to his poncho
And on day 9 updated his outfit. Here's another look at the jacket. Other than that he's kept the leather and hoodies. Not the homework though. The roses are also safe, Pete's breath not so much.
Joe was spotted wearing a whole new different t-shirt (also helping a fan out in that vid), or rather the same t-shirt he wore earlier that day. It's still an incredibly momentous update. His commitment to wear a plain grey t-shirt so his admittedly extremely sexy guitar can shine and he's matching it is remarkable.
Andy got some bracelets too!! And he didn't share. We now know why he's packed only one change of clothes, he's living in the TREE
Patrick's hat for California was his green baseball cap with the crysmiley, and his black descendants hat with a leather-y jacket with the era's logo for day 7.
And of course, Patrick is a great hugger, and their friends are very tall.
Also the BMO Stadium was arranged with a walkway, they made good use of it.
As usual, sources and credits and additional content that those have and this skims over are located here in the masterpost!
Here's links to parts 1 and 2

Visiting Sheena: Non-stop smiles, laughs, acid trip, a wonderful group of welcoming women, and camping in the beautiful outdoors!
I flew up to visit Sheena in Oregon! Finally got some camping/outdoor time in and it was awesome. Having the means to take a last-minute trip and enjoy the excitement of plane travel again has given me the bug again. For so long I felt stuck, in more ways than one, and the trip up to see Sheena and meet all of her incredible circle of women friends was the perfect welcome back into what I hope will be even more trips to come.
Adelle dropped me off at the airport, and I was flying out of San Diego before noon. The airport situation was easy, except I got tired of not having a bag on wheels QUICK! I had to take my bigger duffel bag since I was taking more of my camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, etc.)
On the plane, I was seated next to this older, gray-haired woman, and she was as sweet as can be. She was also a VAL! She lives in Salem, OR, so she was just visiting San Diego and I can’t remember who she was visiting but I recall her saying how much she loved Chula Vista. She also kept telling me that I was going to do all the greatest things in life that I wanted and that I should make the most of life. It was sweet to hear that encouragement, I assured her I’d do my best to do all the things I wanted to do in my young life while I was still able to, and that I’d continue to be diligent about wearing my earplugs in loud settings! Haha.
I landed in Oregon around 2 and Sheena picked me up.
From there we went straight to the grocery store, Fred Meyer, to pick up my contributions of food for the group share. We stopped for McDonald’s before making the drive out. Yummm. The drive out to our campsite at Lake Timothy in the Mt Hood area wasn’t bad at all, about 2 hours only. Goes without saying but it was just stunning up there. Plush and green!
Sheena caught me up on what’s been going on with her. She had actually just broken up with her boyfriend Steve the day before 💔 Sucks.
I’m so inspired by her though. Her level of self-work, emotional maturity, and comfort with navigating conflict is incredible. I’m sure having a therapist has helped a ton. I really need to seriously think about getting on the therapist train. I only ever hear great things.
Anyway. When we arrived at our campground, we settled into our campsite, a nice big corner spot right next to the bathrooms! Also, the campground was not even a month old yet, so the bathrooms actually smelled good, and the floors were clean, UNHEARD of. It was great. We set up our tents, unloaded, had the music going, and waited for her friends to start arriving.
Pictured above is the group of us. In order from left to right are Annabelle, Rebecca, Monica, Me, Liz, Patty, and Sheena. The dog pictured is Stacey, Rebecca’s dog, and somewhere on the ground not seen is Liz’s dog, Frida, as in Frida Khalo.
I felt immediately comfortable around each and every one of her friends. Everyone was so genuine, kind, funny, smart, and just had such depth to them. She has really cultivated a strong circle. I would like to expand my circle of trusted friends into something that resembles what she has.
The level of openness. It was nice to be able to reconnect with Sheena again in this way. She is my favorite person to enjoy the outdoors with and I owe a lot of the trips I have experienced in my life to her, for coordinating and making them happen. I miss that so much.
After this trip, I am definitely looking forward to taking more trips up to see her and doing more in that area.
On Saturday, we all did acid! 🙈 Sheena and I did a full tab, and the other girls all did a half tab, except Liz, who did a half of a half, haha! The trip was amazing, I couldn’t stop smiling, and I always laugh a ton when I trip with Sheena. She gets the giggles like no one else I’ve seen, it’s pretty hilarious.
We spent that day walking the trails around the lake, hung our hammocks up, and just enjoyed the views and each other’s company.
There was only one moment for about 40 minutes where my trip got so intense that I felt like I was moving in slow motion, and seeing everything move in slow motion.
The photos Sheena took somehow got warped and they just so happened to perfectly reflect what I was seeing there for a while.
It was really HOT too which I don’t do well in the heat while tripping, so that was giving me some anxious feelings.
Also on Saturday, thick smoke from some fires elsewhere in the state or neighboring states rolled in and thoroughly ruined our view of Mt. Hood. It was also pretty smelly! Owell! That’s the PNW for you.
While still tripping, we all took the walk back to our campsite to regroup, try to eat, drink, and then head down to the lake to chill, and put our toes in the water. I stayed ashore and let my trip fizzle out, while all the girls except Annabelle took their floats out onto the water. That’s when I saw this adventure cat!!
So cute!
After our dusk time at the lake, we all went back to camp to transition into the night. Liz brought a game that included a bunch of cards that had different prompts of various depths geared toward getting to know one another. That was such a cool thing to bring to a camping trip. I would love to do that again. I need to ask Sheena to get that deck info for me so I can have that on hand. We all spent the rest of the night chatting, munching, and listening to music before it got too cold to stay up any longer (campfire ban for obvious reasons).
All in all, I enjoyed the trip so much and although it went by in the blink of an eye, we made the most of it and I can’t wait for the next one!
View of Mt. Hood on Friday night, before the smoke rolled in on Saturday.
Side quest!

SD Unified
San Diego Unified School District exploring possible changes to student cell phone policy
As thousands of students in the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) head back to class on Monday, it is likely many of them will have their phones close at hand. But possible changes could be on the horizon for the district's cell phone policy for kids in the classroom, according to the Voice of San Diego.
The district's Board of Education is researching the potential harms of using a cell phone in class, but that research is still in the very early stages, according to board member Cody Petterson, who spoke with the Voice of San Diego.
"I've studied focus, and it takes over 20 minutes to re-focus back to where you were if you get off focus and get back on to it," said Elizabeth McGuire, a speech pathologist who has been practicing for more than 20 years. McGuire primarily works with toddlers.
"I do a lot of work with focus, behavior as well. The things that I've noticed from hearing from my colleagues as well, that it's all about the child and if they're able to have it but have it put away so it's just for emergency use, then that's the best," said McGuire.
In June, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) approved a ban on cell phones while on campus. The move drew support from Gov. Gavin Newsom, who released a statement after the ban was approved.
"As the Surgeon General affirmed, social media is harming the mental health of our youth. Building on legislation I signed in 2019, I look forward to working with the Legislature to restrict the use of smartphones during the school day. When children and teens are in school, they should be focused on their studies — not their screens."
Gov. Newsom referred to a bill he signed into law more than five years ago, which allowed school districts across California to adopt cell phone bans. It's unclear if SDUSD might consider a similar approach to Los Angeles, but some parents, like Tania Rodriguez, believe that it would be a good approach to keep students focused on learning while in the classroom.
"I think they should have the cell phone, but maybe not while in class," said Rodriguez, a mother of two children who attend school in the Chula Vista Unified School District. However, she does not believe that an all-out ban on cell phones for the entire school day would be wise.
"That's a tough one ... just on campus, that's a stretch. I can understand while in class, but on campus that's a stretch," said Rodriguez.
NBC 7 reached out to SDUSD for comment on possible changes being considered to the school cell phone policy. We are still waiting to hear back. *Reposted article from NBC 7 by Adonis Albright on August 11, 2024

What Is the Cost of Towing a Car?
Experts hope they will never have to undertake more than a weekly car wash, but that is simply unrealistic. You will eventually need to spend money on your vehicle, monthly payments, and insurance charges.
While regular maintenance can significantly lessen the likelihood of a mechanical problem, you will almost certainly have to cope with an unexpected breakdown requiring your automobile to be towed to a repair shop. It's a reality that nearly every driver must confront at some point, so how much does it cost to summon the El Cajon Towing Service?
An Overview of Towing Prices
Cars frequently break down unexpectedly. That is why it is critical to estimate how much it will cost to call for El Cajon Towing Service.
Every towing operation will provide unique problems that require using various tools and ways to transport your vehicle to its destination. As a result, providing an exact estimate without first analyzing the issue can be difficult.
In any event, the first thing you should do is check to see if your insurance policy covers Chula Vista Towing Service, in which case you can relocate your car without incurring any further charges.
What Is The Pricing Process?
Several aspects go into pricing a tow, but there are a handful you should keep in mind.
Almost every towing company, like Chula Vista Towing Service, will charge you a hook-up or base price, followed by a mile fee. Hook-up prices can range between $35 and $100, with per-mile charges between $2.50 and $5. To minimize sticker shock, request a detailed price breakdown before deciding on a towing firm, as some include the first five to seven miles in their base rate.
Conclusion
While calling a tow truck is undoubtedly something no motorist likes to do, being fully educated on the matter can save you both time and money when the scenario arises. Even if you are stuck on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere, you can contact a trustworthy towing service like King SD Towing to get to your intended location.

Mom & Dad-
I made it to Chula Vista with my gf Melody Gray.
We had to rescue her from her violent boy toy on Thursday.
My Camp bro agreed to move her! He picked her up from Daniel's where she was renting a home in Anza to Scott Clarke's! ):
Scott I'd a 40+ year ex-con I'm militia. He went through our things and attempted to steal many valuables. He's a partner of Dennis Sketchly (Nelson-Campbells!)
Melody is trying to file a RO against her mom Darlene from Idyllwild Health Center.
Darlene slandered her and I to hide sexual assaults and child abuse on my case and from her boytoy. He bullied Darlene to attempt a RO! ):
Melody says he raped her before she was of age.
I'm worried of his motivations with mulatto 15yo granddaughter! She's sending her mom coded messages on tiktok.
Dr. Cash wanted me to use a naturopath asap for my detox!
Grateful for Melody!
Melody also called to tell me about her nurse mother's hippa violations on my case & will provide screenshots for court.
Her mom, nurse Darlene not only slandered her- she smeared me to her daughter- in writing- and lied on behalf of Queresheri office at Idyllwild Health; Dr. Natalya; receptionist Nikki; it is iehp insurance fraud with Riverside county like so much foul play on my case! It's not enough that Dr. Keane was fired for being a gay discrimination bigot to mothers in Palm Springs! Elephant in room is Dr. Singh & Dr. Anderson trying to kill me for x's attys & more pranks that are stipulated to be attempted murders in false name of probate law!
We have a doubt about Dr. Sunil Rawal under circumstances and need to prosecute before militia take matters into own hands- as they've threatened, shown, and promised to do!
Prudent kind thing would be to deport him back to UK for ww3 Defamation Trial and return all with apologies & damages at once! Reunite me with my rightful children and parents in all our homes!
My Encinitas Desert Naturopath Dr. Heather is unavailable until November celebrating her 9/15 50th Birthday!(:
It worked out well that Melody was available!
We've been juicing, drinking lime water all day- from our tree- and she put me on tinctures from Huckleberry & Cleavers!
She has me do body masks with clay & honeyed apple vinegar! It's calming inflammation & encouraging nano Particles to purge!
I've been buying herbs, cooking & cleansing! Rambotans help & fresh fruits/veg from Asian markets!
We are starting home prep with ghee soon!
Doing laundry- happy to sleep stretched out again warm & safe!
I'm grateful for a "safe home" with a bath for treatment.
Her friend has been helping us get our things and we share a "women's" bath! The water and daily routine with fresh hot food is helping my routine!
This is an adult only home though & I still need my kids/assets asap.
Can you help?
I never agreed to sale of 1067 Neptune Ave & was targeted for my monogamous faith & belief systems for United States Autonomy!
Courts said they had a doubt about me every time I asked for my home & assets; or disclosed truth! They doubted I was a realtor and a mom- I had to repeatedly prove truth with evidence like Encinitasbeachhome.com reality etc until x hacked all down like a gay terminator.):
It was insane in-house domestic & UK terrorism.
Thanks for stopping this organised crime in divorce courts by taking a stand, using your word and voice, vows; honoring our family "faith" in testimony & energy; support in consciousness minutely- like only a parent can.
Thankyou for generous birthday support!
I love you! Xo
Eternally grateful,
All love,
Nitya
PS I'm close to Mexico border and will get pharmaceuticals clinically proven to be effective for treating lymes & covid 3. Do you need anything?
Miss you!!!!!
PSS Do you have Oscar Orvidsson & Susan Nowak's numbers? Haydn stole my phones in data rape. I need all contacts, possessions and assets restored + damages & refunds today. Thankyou! Xo

The Streets of San Diego County
San Diego County leaders announce anti-human trafficking school initiative
The FBI ranks San Diego among the 15 worst human trafficking hotspots in the country. That's why county leaders just announced plans to do something about it, starting in the classroom.
San Diego native Keelin Washington survived years of human trafficking that began with a trip to a Chula Vista mall when she was 14 years old.
“A couple of his friends were walking through, just flirted with us. Nothing seemed out of the norm and he asked for my phone number,” said Washington.
She did try to escape one time, she told NBC 7, but said her trafficker caught her at a Greyhound station in Las Vegas.
“He continued to beat me until I was knocked unconscious. Telling me that if I was to leave, not only would he kill me but he would kill my mother, too.”
She eventually escaped after 3.5 years of being sold for sex all over the United States. She told NBC7 she found safety in Colorado and eventually made it back to San Diego.
“I knew if I stayed he was gonna kill me. If I left, at least I had a short shot at being able to get out,” said Washington.
Now 35 years old, she shares her story everywhere she can. And she did so Friday alongside county leaders, including Supervisor Jim Desmond, Board Chairwoman Nora Vargas, District Attorney Summer Stephan and San Diego County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Paul Gothold.
These leaders point to local university studies in San Diego, that revealed human trafficking generates more than $810 million per year on the backs of the 8,000 victims. The average age is 16 years old.
County supervisors plan to propose a plan to introduce education in schools for students, teachers and parents about human trafficking.
It’s something Washington already does through the nonprofit Imagine, identifying the signs of grooming. She thought it was dating.
“He took me out to dinner, he would buy me things. He would tell me that he loves me and he cares about me. And that he would always be here for me,” said Washington. “He took the time to learn what were my vulnerabilities, what were my interests, what were my struggles.”
Stephan mentioned through her work with different operations targeting human trafficking, that many times vulnerable victims were offered opportunities like modeling contracts, money and gifts.
Washington hopes to educate students about the warning signs of trafficking, the physical harm, the psychological control and how it actually occurs.
“Psychological bondage. What my trafficker first did was take away all of my identification. So I had no ID, no passport. I had no access to any kind of income," she explained.
If you or someone you know needs help, call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or text “Be Free” or Live Chat at humantraffickinghotline.org. *Reposted article from NBC 7 on August 25, 2023

Finding Reliable Drain Services in San Diego, CA: Tips and Tricks
Introduction
Are you tired of dealing with clogged drains or leaky pipes? Do you want to find a reliable drain service company in San Diego, CA? Look no further! In this blog post, we will share tips and tricks to help you find the best plumber in San Diego and Chula Vista. We'll also provide advice on how to prepare for your appointment and what to do in case of a drain emergency. Keep reading to learn how to solve your plumbing problems once and for all!
What to Look for When Searching for Drain Services
When searching for drain services in San Diego or Chula Vista, it's important to keep a few key factors in mind. First and foremost, you want to find a company that has experience dealing with the specific issues you're facing. Whether it's clogged drains, leak detection, or something else entirely, make sure the company has a track record of successfully addressing these problems. Another important factor to consider is licensing and insurance. You want to work with a company that is fully licensed and insured so that you can have peace of mind knowing they will handle any potential damages or liabilities. In addition to experience and credentials, look for companies that offer transparent pricing models. A reputable drain service provider should be upfront about their fees and provide you with an estimate before beginning any work. Don't forget about customer service! A good drain service provider should be responsive when you reach out for help and prioritize your satisfaction throughout the entire process. Look for reviews from past customers online to get an idea of what kind of customer service you can expect from each company on your list.
How to Prepare for Your Drain Service Appointment
When you have scheduled a drain service appointment, it's important to prepare beforehand so that everything goes smoothly. First off, make sure the area around the clogged drain is clear of any obstacles or clutter. This will allow the plumber easy access and save time. Next, gather any relevant information about your plumbing system such as past repairs or maintenance records. It can help the plumber diagnose problems faster if they have all necessary information at hand. Also, be prepared to answer questions about the symptoms you are experiencing with your drains. Be specific about when and where you notice issues occurring and describe them in detail. It may also be helpful to shut off water sources before your appointment so that there isn't further damage created during service. Don't forget to ask any pressing questions or concerns directly with your plumber before they begin their work. By taking these simple steps to prepare for your drain service appointment, you'll ensure a smoother process for both yourself and the professional coming into your home.
What to Do If You Have a Drain Emergency
A clogged or blocked drain is a common plumbing problem, but it can quickly turn into an emergency. If you have a drain emergency, the first thing to do is to turn off the water supply and avoid using any faucets or appliances that use water. Next, try to locate your main sewer line cleanout. This is usually located outside near the foundation of your home and has a removable cap. If you're able to safely access it, remove the cap and see if there's any standing water in the pipe. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, call a professional plumber immediately. They will have specialized equipment like drain snakes and hydro jetters that can clear even stubborn blockages. While waiting for help to arrive, try pouring hot water down the affected drains or using a plunger to dislodge any visible debris. However, never use chemical drain cleaners as they can cause more damage to your pipes than good. Remember: prevention is key! Regular maintenance like flushing your drains with hot water once a month and never pouring grease down them can prevent future emergencies from happening.
How to Find the Right Drain Service Company for You
When searching for a drain service company in San Diego or Chula Vista, it's important to do your research. You want to find a company that is reliable and trustworthy. Here are some tips to help you find the right drain service company for you: 1. Check their online reviews - Look at what other customers have said about the company on review websites like Yelp and Google Reviews. 2. Verify their credentials - Make sure the company is licensed, insured, and bonded. 3. Ask about pricing - Get an estimate before hiring the company so you know what to expect. 4. Inquire about their experience - Find out how long they've been in business and if they specialize in any particular services such as leak detection or clogged drains. 5. Consider their customer service - A good drain service company should be responsive, professional, and willing to answer all your questions. By following these steps, you can ensure that you choose a reputable drain service company that will get the job done right the first time around!
Conclusion
Finding reliable drain services in San Diego and Chula Vista doesn't have to be a daunting task. By following the tips and tricks outlined above, you can ensure that you're hiring a reputable company that will provide quality service at an affordable price. Remember to do your research, read reviews, ask for recommendations from friends and family members, and verify licenses and certifications before making your decision. Additionally, it's always a good idea to prepare for your appointment by clearing the area around the affected drains and having any relevant information ready for the technician. By taking these steps, you'll not only find a trusted plumber or drain service provider but also maintain healthy plumbing in your home or business for years to come.

Reason 93 why I love “Backwards Down the Number Line by @phish
The summer of 2016 I took a last-minute trip to California for the weekend to go see two Phish shows, one in LA and one in San Diego. “Moms on the run“ yes, I was hanging out with some phunky bitches and it was a glorious weekend. This was me at the sleep train amphitheater in Chula Vista. Second set my girlfriend gave me her stub for the floor because she was hanging out with her kids in the lawn, so I ran down. I got as close as I could. I didn’t want to intrude on the people who waited in line and such so I was doing my thing getting my groove on and then they started playing backwards down the number line and of course I just started crying because you know we wouldn’t be here without that song. Well, everybody else just scattered cause they don’t get it. #ReadTheBook I got as close as I could get and the guy behind me was kind enough to take this picture for me as this was my first iPhone, so I was still getting used to it. This is me blissed out of my mind! This moment, this whole entire weekend is just imprinted in my heart and my brain! It’s remarkable the things that stick with me and the things that fly away. It’s as if I have no vacancy for negative energy lol it’s the truth though. #phish #welcometomyphishylife

I guess I'll start again.
I want to start writing so I can properly sort through all the thoughts going through my head. I miss my dad, but I feel like I have missed him for the last ten years. I hope he lived the life he wanted. I don't fully see how wandering through the streets of Chula Vista for hours could ever bring as much joy as being with family. Although, I do understand sometimes when I feel my family's invalidation and rejection. I know I did everything I could for my dad, I just wish he would of remembered more for me. Thats was asking too much of him though, he was broken from how institutionalized he was. He was conditioned to have these ways to cope with things and I always knew that. My mom never deserved this though. She also did all she could and was a force against the trauma. She endured and suffered more than she will ever let us know. My dad let me know and my mom didn't.
I want everything in our house to reflect what we love. The people, the movies, the music, the food, and the lil trinkets we encounter on our dates that I make him buy for me. He always agrees; for what I find cute, he also finds just as much. I love my partner. I want our home to be a constant reminder of the things we love. A poster of the movie Queen of the Damned in the kitchen, pictures of Svetty as a little puppy girl all over, dried out just because flower bouquets hanging all throughout walls, and plants that live with us, too. I need to constantly be around the things I love, I need to see them displayed. I need motivation and constant reminders. Otherwise my mind wanders and I grow in my rage.
