Oh, right, the musical is called EPIC. (As in like epic poetry) it's based off the Odyssey! Not sure if it'd be your thing but I quite enjoy the story and themes, motifs and the like. It's more of a concept album right now but l enjoy seeing the art people make for it and community built around it. The music is fantastic and All the characters have an instrument they're associated and I think it's really cool, I think the, uh, what was it called. Ensemble I think it was is different depending on the characters too. Like the when the humans/main characters sing, their ensemble is the crew and the gods have an actual musical instrumental one to make them feel more godlike in a way. to convey it musically. It tickles my brain. I also love that there's certain lyrics that are brought back in different songs. I don't know jack about music so I don't know the specifics terms for it, but whatever it is, I really like it.

It's one of the more darker musicals I've listened to but it's Greek mythology, so I think that's to be expected, yeah? Still, it's a bit much to stomach sometimes when it explicitly focus' on certain topics. All the singers are genuinely so good though and their voices are very fitting for the characters they play. Some actually do a voice for them as well. A few did different accents... It's very cool. Overall it's a very good listen if you don't mind. I really like Polyphemus and Poseidon's songs. And Hermes' and Aeolus as well. Circes, too- Theres so many good ones, theres only like one or two characters I don’t care for. Not sure I'll ever actually read the odyssey, but l'm curious about it. My mom says it was boring, so I guess we'll see. I'll probably take a peak at it anyway. Greek mythology stuff has always been interesting to me and the musical isnt meant to be 1 to 1 with the original story. I like another musical that's also similar, it's focused on the.. uh.. the Orpheus and Eurydice as well as Hades and Persephone myths. It's called Hadestown. Also a really good one I became briefly fixated on for a time.

I think the only issues I have with seeing musicals in person is how loud and bright they are. Bit too much for me but it's cool seeing it in real time even if I have trouble, uh.. processing all of it. Just one of those times where having six eyes kinda sucks but heyyy what can ya do.

My favourite character has probably gotta be Polyphemus. Though not really as a ‘he’s the best character in this story and has a lotta nuisance’ but more of ‘I just think he’s neat’ sorta way. He only really is actively in two songs (and only mentioned a few times after) but he's very memorable and is the first antagonist they come across. They do a great job making him seem very intimidating and monstrous. I love the suspense in his song it’s really well done and his voice just amplifies the whole thing, it’s so deep and chilling. Its also got that, uh, reverberating effect.. though I do sympathize with him as they did basically come into his home uninvited and killed his favorite sheep, which seems to be the equivalent to a pet to him. Honestly valid reason to rampage, I don’t blame him even if it’s just livestock. I get the humans needed food snd didn’t know the sheep did in fact belong to a cyclops but like they still did a whole lotta other shit after the fact that makes it hard to side with them on this one.

Other than him though I think I’d have something to say about all the characters but I’ll just say I really like Odysseus, he’s a great protagonist and I enjoy his struggle with morality and has a lot of character development. I really like Athena too… Poseidon makes a great antagonist. Hermes is really fun. Love a helpful yet chaotic fella.

That’s all I gotta say about that right now. Well, I mean I could go into more detail, but if I did we'd be here all day and I dunno if you'd actually have a clue as to what the hell I'm talking about, haha. I Dunno if you’ve read or know about the odyssey in any way. I also Don’t know how far into the future you are or even the lines drawn between your universe and mine. As you began practicing the magic show you used to perform before the parasite, a lone Wizard stood by on watch. Gale loved watching you enjoy yourself; nothing set his heart more alight than watching you learn and process things.

Conjuring up a seat, he continued watching as you cast a fireball, quickly switching to an iceblast and causing an explosion similar to a firework. As you continued step by step, you could feel someone's eyes on you. Becoming more meticulous with your casts, you started to lose connection to the Weave. Noticing this, Gale smiled and began to walk over to you. "My dear, what seems to be the matter?" You look to Gale and sigh, frustrated that you forgot such a basic routine due to stage fright. I literally became a fan like a week ago and I have some insane insight still fresh in my mind. I will disclose: I knew sorta about them. I am younger than them but don't remember anyone directly speaking about them in my presence. I heard their names mid 10s but not sure related to what, and I remember Tumblr exploding when they came out, but again, none of my mutuals in my previous blogs were phans. I again heard about them when they came back from hiatus in the form of trending topics on this site.

Now, I think anyone who boils down DNP's popularity to "are they or aren't they?" (including baby boy Danny) are oversimplifying it, and it's horrendously self-deprecating of Dan, which, mood.

With my limited knowledge of them, the above points of awareness in my small corner of the world were more the introverted weirdos happy to have serotonin. Games, banter, comfort.

My many blogs across this site and my subscriptions on yt were like anime (hello, sailor moon revival blog) and I was cosplaying as a (secretly) bisexual christian good girl who didn't even know what trans or cis was. So I did see a few very rare strays of assumptions which were always clapped into silence by people asking for respect.

When they came out, I didn't see anyone ship in my newer, more closeted blogs. Instead, again, an outpouring of love and support and applause for the videos. (I think at that point I just assumed they were married and had a strong fanbase atp)

When they came back and blew this shit up again, I only ever saw happy humans. Again, games, some bunch of shit I didn't recognize then but now realize was the weird ass alien language???, and just overall chaotic disbelief that they came back. (And bets whether 1D were next.)

I did see a few more theories then that they might be romantic but not the creepy, mouth foaming insane and perverted assumptions about them. These things fizzled away under the countdown. (Ig to the next video? Idk, weird time for me irl)

My impression from the very far outside has been they're weirdo gamers on yt with their niche super fanbase.

In fact the many people, besides my Cynical Friend, I've spoken to irl have the understanding that Dan and Phil are just a comedic pair of gamers.

That was why when I was having an almost 24hr panic attack after literally fleeing my whole life, I tried them out. Anyone even scrolling through my posts in the tags has seen me fall for them. My anxiety is much better, my mind is on them instead of Death™️ snd I've laughed so hard I almost had an accident at 32.

It really is so easy to believe and fed the negative assumptions about ourselves. Dan has inspired and helped MILLIONS. Dan has done publicly what some of us cannot think privately. Phil has probably saved more lives than he can imagine. Phil probably couldn't understand his mere existence is comforting, with his breezy attitude and smile. It's not a fatal flaw to fail to see how others perceive us, but it is a tragedy that the viewpoint we focus on is negative.

When I spoke to my Cynical Friend, she went off about shippers. She always does. And three years after learning about real people ships, I've never been able to put into words that I'm not spying or prying or obsessed with these perfect matches.

I couldn't explain why I found Ryan Bergara looking at Shane Madej in the early years spark some vague recognition, or why when I found out about the Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson ship I literally LITERALLY almost died. But after watching Dan and Phil, I knew exactly why some people might comb over thousands of moments with a fine tooth comb or play videos at .75 or read interviews in magazines they'f never even heard of. The answer fell off my lips and after, I understood, "I just want to see gay people happy." And it wasn't "gay people in love."

It is so easy to simplify and explain away your success and accomplishments with dribble. It's easy to overlook someone else's feelings because of your own. It's not easy being known, it's not easy being overstimulated with the same damn shit, but it's your responisibility to improve the way you think.

So on the off chance Dan or Phil see this, you're looking at a very loud section of the Phandom. To the majority of us, we tune in, rewatch because we like the content you show us.

Nov 8 Return to CODM

Earlier this year, I joined my school's sports fest in the e-sports category playing CODM. I was just a sub but joined every training sessions because I wanted to come off as someone that cared for the team despite being the eldest and in my senior year busy with internship. I thought it was gonna be a fun experience but I just didn't click well with my young teammates.

What ruined the game for me was that:

I had to change my loadouts. I couldn't use a lot of the tactical and handheld stuff that I loved using with my SnD strategies. It was a lot harder to hold positions and survive for me.

My teammates are rushers. The kind that push chaotically. And while I'm use to that because my friends are rushers as well, this situation was different. With my friends, I had a lot of confidence on their survival and kill rate so when I'm the last one dead (the defender), I'm at least aware of positioning and only have to deal with a maximum of 2 people.

They use comms...but only to chat. One of my favorite tricks is listening to footsteps, even to the point that I even have my own silenced. It helps with identifying enemy positions and surprise strike them when they're close enough. It's one of my pillars in surviving both in BR and MP. It doesn't help that I can't properly listen because they keep chitchatting after dying. Can't be helped, they're friends but it annoyed me because it wasn't assisting with gameplay.

My friends mainly played Minecraft at that time. A new server was created and my friends had cravings to play Minecraft again so we didn't play CODM as much.

On the last day of the tournament, when everything was done. I deleted the app to take a break. I thought this experience ruined the game for me so I wanted to stop for awhile to reset.

I returned to the game recently because my friends picked it up again. I still had change some things because of the rearrangements of the controls and loadouts I did for the sports fest. I had to remember how I did it before that time. But even with the slight adjustment, I did pretty well on MP ranked.

i have this headcanon in stardew valley that seb does community service as much as sam for the most questionable unexplainable shit you could imagine and because lewis is a terrible mayor.

we all know the moonlight jellies event every end of summer, right? it was year 3, i was talking to every folks i lay my eyes on like the social butterfly i am ingame. then i talked to sam and this guy legit asked if the jellies are poisonous because if they aren't he'll fucking yeet seb there to fucking drown idk if the man can even swim let alone stay afloat and lewis will most likely reprimand them for interrupting a special event and it got me thinking how their lives go about when sam is the most random man you've ever met

like can you imagine if one day sam approaches seb and gives him a bunch of freshly uprooted flowers because he finds the colors vibrant and demetrius is in the background panicking about how he shouldn't have picked them because it's illegal and they're poisonous and sam just goes "nah im pretty sure these stuff ain't poisonous" and the next thing you knew his hand is red and seb's dragging his fainted body to the clinic. the moment sam wakes up, lewis is fuming by his side going on about how irresponsible he is and that he and seb will clean the community center for a week and seb will say something along the lines of "why am i with him?" and lewis will make up a shitty reason to end the conversation

i firmly believe that one night in fall, sam asked seb if they could do ghost hunting and seb was like "okay let's do it" mainly because he's bored and doesn't believe in ghosts. so they wore masks and makeshift ghost-hunting equipment and stuff and walked through the town at 3 am in dead silence and darkness and only in their undershirt and boxers because as sam quotes "everyone is asleep at that time and they can just lie straight to bed to fall asleep after everything's over". sam is starting to cower in fear in his first twenty steps and seb just goes "mf this is your idea dont back out now" "there's no ghosts im telling you so pull yourself together" then they reach the bridge and hear the bush near it rustle and make weird sounds. seb does nothing while sam, silently praying, knees wobbling and hands shaking, throws his whole equipment towards its direction and hear it scream. so sam screams, seb screams out of shock, and lewis and marnie emerge from the bush. they had a silent agreement not to talk about it with the way they stare at each other, but boy do sam and seb enjoy picking trash for two weeks.

THANK YOU FOR KEEPING MY BLOG ALIVE TARU (bc i am realizing just today that it is astro's bday and i skipped medi too so. Here we are.)

Medignis: Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars (while they're together). Why this song? Because I can guarantee you that at some point, Meditrina accidentally spills everything she's ever felt to Ignis and she's crying by the end but his resolve is to make her feel like she's enough. He wants her to know that she is enough for him, no matter what!

Post breakup (future): Just a Dream by Nelly, it's mainly on Ignis's part because he is the one that caused their breakup due to how he changed in their third year. But by the time they're out in the real world, he regrets it more than anything and above all, he is desperate to know if she's moved on or found someone knew. She hasn't but he doesn't know it yet.

Irnyx: Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls, BUT it's mainly on Onyx's part, which makes it all so much more ironic. The lyrics "I just want you to know who I am" literally apply to him because she was the one who changed his entire life. She was the one who didn't take pity on him and instead decided to do something about it. Afterwards, he realizes how much she loves him (albeit platonically) and he falls for her quite quickly to the point where every second spent with her is a good one, one where he slowly lets down his walls around her.

Coletitus: No Hay Nadie Mas by Sebastian Yatra (the Spanish version). This song is specifically for them because Colette was practically kicked out of her family's hearts and she ran away, finding Titus. While he knew that she was innocent, naive and afraid, something drew him to her and he wanted to stay by his side. And so, he abandoned his relentlessly flirty ways to stay with her. No matter how hard it got, no matter how many times she tried not to break down, he stayed by her side. He always reassured her and when the day came of him saying that he couldn't ever think of replacing her when she was the only one for him, she completely lost it.

Ivyvil: Some Day My Prince Will Come. This one is more complicated but Ivy always dreamed of being a pretty princess and being treated like one. However, at the sight of Vil, she realized that wasn't her dream anymore. She was the one that wanted to save him, to protect him, to shield him from the horrors of his own mind. She wanted to take him away from everything so he wouldn't beat himself up anymore. In the song, it's mainly about finding the "prince" (the true love) and once they meet, it means finally having a better life, one that's much happier. The same could apply for both of them: Vil finally gets someone who loves every part of him, even the dark parts and Ivy gets someone who is more than willing to help her be the best version she can be. So in a sense, the song could be for both of them.

Jamivy: You & I (Nobody in the World) by John Legend. She's the one constantly hyping him up snd telling him he looks good, giving him all sorts of little compliments, especially when she knows he feels down. He feels as though when he's with her, everything is possible and while she is a bit chaotic, he can't help but feel peace inside of him. She's always fussing over him to make sure he's in tiptop shape and it's in these moments--when her eyes are worried about him instead of vice versa, like he always does--that he feels like there's no one else in the world but them.

Ivytrey: She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5. In every sense of the word, Ivy knows that, as much as he won't admit it, he wants to be taken care of. It's engrained in everyone and he'll constantly say he doesn't need to be taken care of, but she's insistent on it. Her insistence makes him realize how much she's sacrificed of herself over the years and as hyperactive as she is, as aggressively kind as she is, as much as she keeps a happy mask on, it's just that: a mask. He wants to take care of her, no matter how much it might be. To him, it's nothing at all. Compared to everyone else, he isn't anything special but the fact that she still goes after him is enough for him. He just wants to be her anchor, the one who grounds her and the one she can be truly vulnerable with.

Emily accidentally calling Hotch "babe" in front of the team. She spends the rest of the day coming up with pained nicknames for them all to make it seem less weird. JJ gets a "cherub". Morgan gets a "gorgeous". The worst one was when she called Reid "doll". At the end of the day, Penelope asks why she's coming for her gig.

Booking separate rooms at hotels but then sneaking into each others rooms, not even just for sex but because they've gotten so used to each other that they can't sleep when they're apart, because having the other close keeps the nightmares at bay. They have to set extra early alarms to make sure they're back in their own beds before the rest of the team wake up.

JJ and Penelope trying to set Em up with a guy at a bar on girls night. They leave her with him and she has to explain, "Listen, I'm dating our boss and they don't know, so can you do me a favour and pretend to be putting my number into your phone so they'll back off and let me enjoy the rest of girls night? Thanks a bunch".

Similar vein, Rossi trying to encourage Hotch to "get out there" and go on a guys night and Hotch coming up with worse excuses every time. "Jack has the dentist in the morning", "I'm playing golf with Sean tomorrow", "my back is too sore." That last one wasn't a lie and Emily has to hide the smirk when she overhears it.

Purposefully avoiding sitting next to each other on the jet because hello they work with profilers. But avoiding each other so much that when they do accidentally end up sitting next to each other it's just pure panic and they sit there stiff as boards. And its completely obvious.

The team having bets to see how long they can keep the 'secret' going. Reid has bets on 7 months, because that's the previous record for secret keeping, after all.

Hotch being overly protective snd Emily being passive aggressive mad about it and purposefully acting against it and the whole team (before they figure it out of course) being like 🧐🤔

Hotch accidentally grabbing Emily's FBI windbreaker from the apartment and when he goes to put it on at a crime scene there's just a beat of confusion and Rossi and Morgan staring at him. And then Hotch just coughs it off like, "must have shrunk in the wash." And then Em's lipstick falls out of the pocket.

one of the issue that I have with this parenting thing that happened to me is like,

ok, i say this all the timr but kids were a choice made for me, i didn't want kids, not because i dont like them (tho I'm supef not a baby person) but mostly bc i was the default babysitter and I like kids but I hate being an authority figure or role model, I love hanging out eith toddlers they're hilarious and chaotic snd fun, i love watching movies and going to the mall with teens and tweens, like I enjoy quality time with the youths, I think they're fun and I love really listening to kids bc i know how it feels to talk about things that are important to you and have no one listen

but enforcing rules? being an authority figure? being in charge 100% of the time no default blame guy when i gotta do the unfun part? I hate it. and like i get that goid parents probably dread discipline but it probably doesn't haunt them for days to use a stern tone or set out small time consequences or whatever.

like I have been wound tight all day, like anxiety that makes me consided hanging out under my bed a desirable alternative to being literally anywhere else, after work i had to spend 90mins at Aislyn's karate, i havent eaten since 9am and honestly nothing is appetizing rn, I ask Des to grab my crochet bag from downstairs bc chronic illness +8 hours of standing made my legs go yo hell

they bring me my bag but the hook that i left in my dress isnt there. i check the bag, check my bed, both thoroughly, ask des to go get it, reiterate that I csnt hit the stairs rn. they go they come back insist its not there, i am essentially begging my 13 year old at this point, it is there, it fell out of the dress when you picked it up, i point out that last week they insisted my keys were not on my shelf in my room when i asked for them and they were in fact there so please look because either the hook is there or gremlins exist and like how did you miss that?

they yell that my parents are asleep,theyre not theyre watching tv in their room and if they were asleep my 8 minute stair limping would absolutely be MORE disruptive than the 90lb 13 year old figure skater, they start to yell again and i tell them they can get the hook they left downstairs or they can bring me they laptop and switch and go to bed, I'm done arguing about it, that's the options

Oh 100% Essek's traitor reveal!!

Every major reveal up until ep69 (when i caught up) was spoiled for me so things like veth's vackstory reveal didn't Do much for me as i was already suspecting it.

But ep 97 though!

Oh boy.. i was already falling into essek stan-hood pretty quickly after his appearance and then gradually but i NEVER SUSPECTED that he was the traitor.
