also honestly i like canon's explanation of lightsaber colors which is to say, it can be whatever color the crystal itself chooses to be (red only when they have been bled and white when they have been purified. don't ask me about the darksaber i know as much as the next person). eron's honest reaction upon getting his was pretty much "oh, hey, i got blue. that's pretty cool" and thought nothing else of it.
