Young jikook makes a lot of sense. JK was obviously shy, closed off and didn’t know how to handle emotions very well, he was also different than jimin back then in terms of personality traits and confidence . Jimin was so extra and affectionate that he most likely didn’t know how to handle him (didn’t he said it himself? That he was shy so he had a hard time processing jimin? Something like that). To me it’s obvious that he pushed him away to take control over the situation and ..deal. It doesn’t help that cameras were in his face 24/7, It takes time to open up to all types of people, and Jimin is very unique. The beautiful thing is that jimin was wise and mature enough to see how JK was obviously a kind warm person who is similar to him and just struggling with some things and you could tell he was trying to help him come out of his shell and not giving up on him. And it worked. You can literally see the shift in their relationship with time and how JK started to care about Jimin more and more until we got Tokyo and neck bites and smiles and touches.. I’m sure JK is very greatfull for Jimin for many reasons.

yes, this is how i've seen a lot of people describe baby jikook's relationship too. they have always cared for each other, and yes jm have always had a very high EQ that makes him very attuned to jk's needs and feelings. he takes very good care of his most precious dongsaeng 🥺

jk has matured a lot since then, in confidence and how he expresses himself on camera, that he takes on the role of jm's emotional caretaker a lot too :')
