UNPOPULAR OPINION BUT...

BROKE: Thinking that Chuuya is just some dumbass aggressive meathead. WOKE: Realizing that Chuuya is actually incredibly smart and that the only reason people treat him like he’s dumb is because he’s constantly being compared to literal fucking geniuses (looking at you Mr. Rat and Mr. Bandaid). Like, did you all forget who in Dead Apple figured out what exactly was Dazai’s plan to save the city without having barely any information? That’s right: Chuuya, aka the one person who is able able to keep up with and guess Dazai’s plans even if they involve him busting up a dragon. Maybe if people stopped comparing him to Dazai for just one (1) second, they’d see that he’s emotionally intelligent and a good leader who only gets upset when people threaten the Port Mafia (his family) or bring up Dazai (the person who essentially forced Chuuya into the Port Mafia after destroying his first family, the Sheep, and then betrayed his second family to go off and do whatever, something Chuuya never had the chance to do so yeah, of course he’d be bitter). I’m not saying Chuuya has no flaws - he’s much too loyal, takes on too much shit without asking for help, and is a bit of a drinker - but to generalize his entire characterization based off of interactions he has with Dazai and compare them is just... not that lush, fam. Don’t compare a regular human being to a genius and then act surprised when one is more stereotypically intelligent than the other. I don’t see y’all comparing SKK’s social skills or emotional intelligence and calling Dazai a dumbass fake lizard so don’t disrespect the literal god in the show and do it to Chuuya.

But that’s just my opinion, oomfs 🥰💞✨! Anyways, stan Nakahara Chuuya for clear skin and just because he’s a god!
