New challenge; I request from you:
DnD/BG3 classes of House M.D. characters!
😁
Need to know in which classes you would put them into. Want your expertise 😁
(Bonus: Who is Durge?)
(If you think "that is not funny and hells I got better things to do"; do of course not 😘😆)
Ok, my brain remembered! Honestly, I open this and then I think about it and then I get distracted by the internet or family or daydreaming about... Well, you get the idea.
Now I'm doing it! My partner says technically they're all clerics. They're not. Also, I can't be bothered with multiclass or this is going to be a real essay per character...
---
House - Wizard. (Enchantment - I wanted to say evocation just because of all his sick burns, though.) High intellect, puzzle solving. Probably has some points in charisma, but his dex is a dump stat.
Wilson - Cleric. (Life domain) - High wisdom, life saver. Possibly an Ilmater follower because of his need to self sacrifice quite a bit.
Cuddy Sorcerer. (Storm) - Force of nature. In a position of power. High charisma ;)
Cameron - Warlock. (Archfey) - Her dead husband is her patron. Also gets Misty Escape in series 6 at level 6. High charisma again.
Foreman - Rogue. (Thief) - Season 1 house comments... Knows how to lockpick. - has followed a point buy system to roll. (Could also be a wizard due to intellect or possibly Knowledge Cleric, but I don't feel like diving down the rabbit hole of his character.)
Chase - Bard. (Lore) - High charisma. Points in so many skills. Surgery, Pediatrics, Neurology, Religion. Probably more that aren't coming to me. Also plays violin and sings. Comes with Vicious Mockery - "yo mama so fat that when her beeper goes off people think she's backing up" - Take that 1d4 damage and enjoy it!
Taub - Monk. (Open Hand) - See martial arts episode, also I figure a plastic surgeon is good with their hands. Only questionable part is wisdom, but I suspect he's a new player who wasn't thinking too much about his stats at the time.
Thirteen - Rogue. (Arcane Trickster) - The mysterious one of the group sitting in the shadows with a wealth of secrets. High intelligence to support others and also cripple foes. Con dump stat.
---
Hmmm, they're the main ones. Do I want to do anymore?
Fuck it... maybe 1 more that I love.
Amber - Cleric (Trickery) - You wield the unorthodox divine tools of deceit and illusion in worship of your chosen deity. - Enough said.
Edit - Omg I forgot Durge! My knee jerk reaction is to say House. He's the most spontaneous, destructive etc... But Durge doesn't necessarily mean those things. So I'm going to go with the douchebag chess playing kid.
#ask box#baldur's gate 3#house md#feel free to bring your own suggestions#honestly i just want to roll up chase's character#i need someone with a little more focus than me to really deepdive these

12, 22 and 25 for the end of year asks 🎉
Thank you for the ask!
12.Talk about a new friend you made this year
Two long-time mutuals were new friends this year! I made fanart of @razrogue's oc in february (asked permission first) and that kicked off some conversations, and I invited @boghermit to a digital dnd game that was supposed to be a "one shot" that I thought would run 3 sessions in april but we're on like session 10+.
Idk that I have any completely new friends. Have some mutuals I've been talking with more lately, and perhaps next year we'll be no-filter enough to be friends, lmao.
22.Favorite place you visited this year?
I went to my late grandparents' mother's cottage twice this summer. It's a little over two hours up the river. I made a goo/gle d/oc of some photos from one of the visits that mutuals could ask to see if you like. I shared it with some of you already.
25.Did you create any characters (in games, art, or writing) this year? Describe one
Several. And more, counting the dnd npc's I made up in role as DM. I'll restrict myself to three per media.
In world of warcraft I created and max-levelled more than my usual amount of pc's / oc's during the mists of pandaria remix event. Two of my favorites were a couple of nightborne elves, a rogue named Draughr (I decided this is his code name), and a warlock named Akumyssra. They're divorced with three kids. They were together all during the time Suramar was bubbled and sequestered from the rest of the world, and resentful of one another. I hadn't decided between them which was the parent who nearly sold a child to servitude because of the mana sickness / addiction / arcwine situation, but it was what was irreparable in the circumstances. Their children don't know and it is this unknowing which would allow them to fix things between them in the future Maybe. I also enjoyed crack shipping Draughr and Mudmug, which would further splinter his relationship with Akumyssra either because he was the one who fucked up fatherhood and is now having at least casual relationships or because she is the one who fucked up motherhood and not only are the children technically in the custody of an elf whose name they might not know for years, but he is also having such a good / easy time of it while she can't do anything but suffer for the sake of her magic.
I also started thinking of a daughter for my oc Borgakh and Lor'themar Theron. I was caught up in the tragedy of their romance for ages - and enjoying it - until they gave him a canon wife in Thalyssra. So now, instead, their relationship suffered after the battle for lordaeron, started getting better during battle for azeroth, Borgakh discovered she was pregnant just barely before going through with the ritual to go to Shadowlands, and I hate that they get married around the same time as Lor'themar's canon marriage, I wish it could happen at another time, but it's fine, whatever, and now they have this two year old daughter around the start of the war within.
I spliced some orc, elf and dracthyr sprites together to come up with a what-if concept to help me picture her as a babe and child.
I hadn't settled on a name. Here's the short list: Rok'aria (aria pronounced like the musical movement), Anravenna, Kel'diel, Kel'ariah (ariah pronounced like Karliah), Marzul, Arzula.
.
I came up with my dungeon meshi oc this year. Aelfwin.
Their backstory is up in the air because I don't know how dungeons work or how I'll feel about the story once I've finished the anime / once I crack and read the manga.
At this time, my two floating story ideas for them are: 1) post-canon in a large monstrous form, Alfie tunnels into the eponymous dungeon, from a different dungeon. 2) au where Alfie joins the party around the same time as Senshi.
.
In bg3 I have a few fun oc's that made their fic debuts this year!
Blbxrl - a Fimbrul Devil loyal to Mephistopheles in Raphael's service
Yakrayat - a Rakshasa Demon imprisoned in Avernus, presumably by Haruman in service to the Archdevil Zariel
^ Both featured in A Hopeless Dove.
Upton O'Goode has been conceptualized since at least 2023, but they finally had a little cameo in Upon The Hill.

Fave characters from the last 5 things I’ve watched/read/seen/etc:
I was tagged by @a-lil-bi-furious forever ago, and I’m finally doing it. Yay. Go me. Long rambly post ahead.
1 - Isabelle Lightwood (Freeform’s Shadowhunters)
Izzy, Izzy, Izzy. There are so many good things to say about her. I love that she's so versatile; she's one of their best warriors, she's the Weapon's Master, she's a skilled forensic pathologist. She's incredibly intelligent and strong and also unabashedly feminine. She's faced demons and warlocks and rogue shadowhunters, and she beat them all in five-inch heels.
I love that she's so in control of and unashamed in her sexuality, despite her mother's and other's comments and snipes about it. She's gorgeous and enjoys sex and she owns it, and I'm so proud of her. I wish she got better love interests (like Clary), because I realize I didn't particularly like Raphael or Simon.
One of my favorite things of the whole show is her love for her family, most showcased with Alec. Her unwavering support in him, and trying to help him be his best, authentic self, is so pure, and her supporting him and Magnus is so refreshing compared he rest of their family just...not.
2 - Bonnie Bennett (The CW’s The Vampire Diaries)
Bonnie was my favorite from the moment I started (and probably one of my favorite characters of all time), and it broke my heart how the show treated her. She was a bold, brave, and powerful black Bennett witch who was controlled by racist writers and manipulated by selfish vampires.
But even with those obstacles, she did some incredible feats. She went up against (and beat) Originals multiple times, the first after she'd only been a practicing witch for a few months. She singlehandedly held back hellfire for a time and saved Mystic Falls (and all its residents' undeserving asses) numerous times and never got the appreciation she deserved.
She deserved her happy ending with Enzo and I will never forgive Plec (or Stefan) from taking that away from her. Even with everything she went through, she was kind, she was compassionate, she was understanding, and she was more forgiving than she probably should have been. Her interactions with Nora in season 7 warmed my heart.
3 - Maria DeLuca (The CW’s Roswell, New Mexico)
As Liz said, “Maria DeLuca is her own savior, every damn time.” And it's really unfortunate that the show (and the fandom) really make her keep proving it. This woman has so much on her shoulders, a sick mum and running a business. She's constantly alone, left out, and used as a prop for other's stories, and I hate it. Making her the obstacle for the fandom's favorite-gay-ship™️ was a bad move on the writers' part, and the treatment Heather Hemmens has received in playing her is horrendous.
With all that, Maria is still lively and outgoing and fun. Her wit is phenomenal, and any scene with her and Isobel snarking at each other is a hoot. Her little interactions with everybody are my favorite honestly. She's fiery and strong and bold, but I also so appreciate when we get to see her vulnerable. (Also, she looks like a goddess in that first gif.)
Full disclosure, I had a hard time deciding between Maria and Jenna Cameron as my favorite, and they literally have had like two scenes together at the end of S2 but I ship them hard. So if the show could just get on that, that'd be appreciated.
4 - Olivia Baker (The CW’s All American)
Words cannot describe how much I love Olivia. Just gotta get this out of the way, Samantha Logan is exceptionally gorgeous, and even my gay ass can't decide if I should pay more attention to Olivia or her brother when they're both on screen. But that's not important.
Something about Liv and her story just really resonated with me, and episode 1x12 had me bawling. Watching this good, kind, bright girl feel so alone and isolated was heart wrenching. She deserves the world, and I'm glad she's finding a good support system.
My favorite thing about Liv is how much she cares. If she sees something wrong or unjust, she does not hesitate to call it out, and if something is happening to her family or friends, she does everything she can to help. And that's a good thing, but I worry she focuses to much on others, at the expense of herself. I'd love if, in the coming season(s), she learns how to and is allowed to work on and take care of herself.
5 - Anissa Pierce (The CW’s Black Lightning)
My kick-ass superhero baby. She's a black, lesbian medical student and part-time teacher. Her love for her family is undeniable, as is her hatred if injustice. This drives her to become a vigilante superhero after only days/weeks of discovering her powers, and she fought her dad to a standstill (neither of them knew who the other was, but he was far more experienced than she was).
She's shown to be perhaps the physically strongest in the show (which I fucking love), and her fighting prowess is near unmatched. So like, that's obviously all cool, but it's only part of why I love her so. She's a force to reckoned with no matter what identity she's in (Anissa, Thunder, or Blackbird). She's passionate and loving.
Speaking of loving, her and Grace own my heart. An interracial wlw badass superpowered couple is basically everything I could want. They (and this whole damn show) are SO GOOD.
I'm tagging @rosaortecho and @wonderdoves, but like, no pressure. Or anyone who wants to, just say you were tagged by me so I can see y’alls opinions.
First Bonnie gif is from @bob-belcher, second from @imaginingxmen. For some reason I cannot get the formatting done with hers, just the others, so.

OKAY DIA, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW OR WHY I PRESSED THE UNFOLLOW BUTTON?! LIKE I LOVE YOUR WRITING SO I'M EXTREME CONFUSED!!
Anyway, I've been binging the Shifter Series for the past couple days (as your notifs probably show, sorry about that lmfao). I absolutely love the world building that you've done with all the published chapters and parts. The way you were able to build off of a one-shot and then creat this whole universe truly astounds me. I love the backstory we get from Lord Laila and the unsurprising half truth told over the generations about the Blood War. It was such a great idea to have the rouges have a temporary alpha and even more interesting for him to be placed and born into a female omega. The emotions that the characters all feel shines through and I even shed a tear here and there while reading.
I did have a question about the aging (or lack thereof) limits for each species. Obviously vampires live the longest and then I'm guessing the remaining Lycans, animal shifters, and then I have no idea with other species like sirens and wiccans/witches/warlocks.
I hope you have a wonderful day/night!! Much love to you💜💜💜
Omg a glitch maybe? I wouldn't pass it on Tumbroke, the site always does some shady things like making us unfollow people without letting us know until we realise they went missing from our dash T^T
Don't be sorry about the spam. Seeing you on my notifs makes me super happy cause I can see you enjoying yourself there haha Thank you for reading my Shifter series, seriously, it means a lot. The latest update for BMR was a bit rough but it was something that I've been terribly impatient to share because it answered a lot of questions that I've been getting since the start. Adding Lord Laila into the scene was fun cause she's the best character to explain everything since she's the one with the white magic and all. I'm sorry for the emotional ride on the story. I should probably warn you that the thing with Haerin and the Rogue King will become quite a ride in the future too.
Oh, it's interesting that you ask about this, by the way. About their aging, you're right about the vampires living the longest. While Jimin keeps saying that they're technically still mortals, I'm sure Lord Laila's explanation can tell you that basically they don't exactly have an age limit, especially when they are able to choose to do their Eternal Sleep to somehow survive longer. even though physically, they will still be aging the longer they live their lives without taking the long nap (just like how Jimin described the physical trait of one of the Elders on the prologue and chapter 1).
Lycans come next as they have the ability to live to thousands of years. For animal shifters and sirens, they both have a similar longevity where they can live for even over a century long, but they can also die younger under certain circumstances (eg. Mating Sickness). In the cases of when a shifter or a vampire have a human mate, then the human will develop the same aging process that they would age slower and live longer just like their mates do. In the future scenes, you might even see a few cases where the humans are turned by the shifter mate.
For the magicians, wiccans/witches/warlocks age like any normal humans do, but they have the ability to pass on their powers to their successors, or, in the special cases like the master Dark Warlock, they can preserve their magic which their descendant can bring back or resurrect as long as they have a way to "unlock" them (eg. Titus has inherited the Dark Warlock's ability so his magic lives on, and then he subconsciously passes on his magic to Jin's mate who is his granddaughter)
This is just a rough explanation about the aging process but I hope that's clear enough. I'll be slipping in a few explanations in the story as well as we continue. Thank you again for supporting this series. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

With the caveat that I haven't actually finished watching the show with my own eyeballs and not through gifsets, here are some thoughts about who would play what. (cc @bethanyactually)
First I want to make the distinction between what classes they as people would be from a meta perspective (ie a D&D au of the show), and what classes the actual characters would want to play in-universe. This is a list of the latter, although I do have additional thoughts on the former.
George: Barbarian. I suspect she'd initially be the least enthusiastic about the general concept of playing D&D, but she agrees because the rest of the crew is so excited, and picks barbarian because it's not complicated like any of the magic classes and she might as well hit stuff really hard. She'd 100% end up getting way more invested in it than anyone, including her, expects after the adrenaline rush of hitting some crits.
Bess: Druid. She would unironically love the idea of a Disney princess-style situation where small cute animals and flowers follow her around, and there are enough interesting subclasses that she could really indulge her chaotic side. I also considered bard - she'd get a kick out of a really melodramatic actor type - but I think the flavouring of druids and ability to change spells whenever she feels like it would appeal to her more.
Ace: Monk. I'm willing to bet he has watched a LOT of action movies and the idea of being a Jackie Chan / ninja / Force ghost / airbender / whatever other pop culture thing his subclass allows for would be fuckin sick. Despite the somewhat stoner-level reasoning (said with affection) in the previous sentence, he's also smart enough to relish the more complex aspects of the class, and I suspect he'd actually end up being the best tactician of the crew, which he could really put to good use with a monk.
Ned: Cleric. Dude took one look at the rest of the group's characters and went "well, someone has to be the healer." (Technically Bess can heal too, but we all know damn well she's going to prioritize doing crazy druid shit, as is her right.) There's a huge variety of options for domain, too, so he still has a lot of flexibility around what kind of vibe he wants to have in addition to healing.
And Nancy...
This is the hardest one for me by far. I think it's partially because Nancy herself is so quintessentially a paladin - fundamentally driven by her sense of justice and willing to charge without hesitation into objectively insane and/or dangerous situations in the name of uncovering the truth. (Probably also a multiclass into rogue, because her first instinct in the face of literally any difficulty in canon is "how can I commit a crime about this?") But that's the D&D au perspective, not what she as a person would want to play, and I have a hard time imagining her playing as one.
I absolutely cannot see her playing any kind of warlock, given the whole patron / bargain situation and... yknow.... all the heinous entity shit that happens to her in the show. I also feel like she maybe would get frustrated with wizard or sorcerer, despite the potential for creativity, because they're not at all durable and I don't think she'd enjoy relying on strategic avoidance and other tankier characters to stay alive, even in a game.
Of the remaining options, I think she'd opt for a ranger. It's a half-caster, allowing her to make use of both physical combat (either ranged or melee, despite the archer stereotypes) and spellcasting ability. That versatility would appeal to her, and while rangers aren't THE most self-reliant class on a gameplay level, the flavouring generally involves being self-sufficient and alert in the wild, and she'd be able to handle herself in a variety of situations in a way a lot of other classes can't.
Anyway, that's my take on the Drew Crew adventuring party. Curious if anyone else has different thoughts!
After a very productive chat, @bethanyactually and I have decided we need a Community-style Drew Crew D&D campaign.
Picture Connor as GM, but they’re only involved because Ace works at the morgue, and he’s really reluctant to run it for them, but it turns out being amazing because they have a lot of experience with Situations and Decisions.
#nancy drew#I'm not quite fully satisfied with ranger but it kind of makes the most sense out of process of elimination#I also think george would branch out to a spellcaster for subsequent characters and be very good at it#but for the first one it's 100% 'ugh which one requires the least amount of planning and/or caring. barbarian? ok whateve- wait this is FUN
