I like doing these types of polls to help me prioritize what to work on. I usually do them on my insta but let's try it here again.

Alright you asked for it :'). Also with some gijinka shenanigans (and it will have it's own marking)

Starting with it/its, but learns to value themself and uses they/them respectively.

They're aroace. All of the Vessels are, but Ghost is the first one who accepted it not as part of their voidling nature, but a part of themself.

(GS) they aren't really flexible. From time to time Ghost is making weird movements or can't get their grasp right because Void is restricted by physical addictions (skeleton, armor). If they'll take their boots and gloves off you clearly will see skeleton underneath the dark soft shell and Soul that is circulating through their body. How they dodge successfully? They aren't. It's also makes them closer to biological authomatons rather then person. Dead biological construct, powered by Void, yeah.

They're not aging. Their adult and caring attitude is their own choice, made outside of the Hallownest. They're kind because they're choosing to be such and they're understanding the weight of their duty and responsibility.

Also they don't eat, don't feel tired or exhausted. They're getting rather boring on the bench and putting themself into "sleep mode". For the food unfortunately they might to go through really painful process of de-shelling.

They basically should scream while de-shelling btw. And they do. No one is hearing though and Hornet had some... Experience with it.

How does healing works? Well, while Focusing Soul manifests itself into chitin and comparing to average bug it hardens a bit quicker. (GS) In this case it manifests into some kind of tree resin, to empathize their other parent, White Lady. In Hot Springs this process is quicker because resin getting warmer and turns into liquid, that helps with healing a lot.

Shade Lord doesn't need physical body to retain their form. Shade on the other hand is less composed without their shell, you can tell it easily.

I'll continue in separate post my thoughts on Vessels in general. But for the beginning it's sufficient for understanding my vision of Ghost.

It/they pronouns!

It adopted the name “Ghost” because Hornet kept calling it that. It will accept being called anything, though, as long as it isn’t an insult.

Even if they could express themself, their facial expressions would be pretty blank 90% of the time

They hop around to show excitement

They LOVE the ding ding of the stag bell, and ring it even when the stag is already there

It also loves the sound of splashing water

And the tink of their nail hitting something metallic

Bro is a sound lover. BIG fan of sounds.

They didn’t know that eating was good for their health for a while. It thought it was the exception to the “you need to eat” rule.

It mostly eats metal shavings. Wyrm blood go brr. They also absorb some nutrients from the soil, though, like a plant.

Ghost bows out of respect and politeness. They’ll bow to you if they like you, or if they’re honoring a grave. Grimm gets a bow because he’s nice to them, even if he roped them into a job they didn’t sign up for. It likes “dancing” with him!

It was never empty. The choices we have in game reflect that. We don’t have to spare the nailsmith. We don’t have to save zote. We don’t have to rest at benches or deliver flowers, or save Bretta. Little Ghost has a mind and a will!

They don’t resent THK for leaving them. It would’ve done the same thing, after all.

It recognized Hornet, to a degree, during their first fight. Her glow felt familiar, though it didn’t know why.

Its memory isn’t the best. They don’t remember how they got out of the Abyss, or how long they journeyed outside of Hallownest. Being a demigod, it retained more of its memory than Quirrel, but there are some fuzzy areas.

It inherited the family stubbornness and clean freak attitude (I just know the pale king was a clean freak, look at him)

It’s afraid of sleeping, so it doesn’t. A dream plague will do that to you.
