if I think about Alear and Marth for too long I Will Cry.
#just. AAAAAAA.#they went to sleep with Marth's ring on and he spent pretty much 1000 years watching over them sorta#ik he wasn't actively summoned during that time but he was still There like he says as much#and then when they apologise for nearly going to sleep with his ring on again#he says he'd feel uncomfortable if they were to seperate now and you can tell Alear grows to feel the same way#and then he gets snatched away by you know who in the cathedral and he genuinely looks so confused about it during the cutscene#when Alear calls out to him he looks like he wants to do something but can't because they haven't got his ring anymore#and then Alear is so distressed when Marth gets turned into a Fell Emblem and it looked like the transformation was painful for him#Alear is so sad when they have to leave without him and the other Emblems#they feel guilty for not listening to Marth's warnings before everything happened#the Emblems are their friends but Marth especially is their partner. their best friend.#the one who was with them for those 1000 years they were sleeping. the one who probably could understand them the most.#the one who wanted to remain by their side even after all that time had passed#and now he's been taken away from them and there was nothing they could do about it#and you know who even comments that Fell Marth seems distressed despite his blank expression to be separated from his friends#Fell Emblems don't seem to have a will of their own - they can't even talk or emote whatsoever#but Marth was apparently by Alear's side for so long that even as a Fell Emblem his feelings could show through#even if he couldn't do anything about them and instead just opted to keep his eyes closed out of battle#like he was asleep again. like he was pretending to be somewhere else.#they are BEST FRIENDS YOUR HONOUR
