my wire hot take is that prez is a walking chekhov's gun in seasons 1-3
#the wire#like. you see the gun in act one it must go off by act three#prez shoots the wall in season one. he beats that kid. he stays on the papertrail side of things after#he works off the streets most of season one and all of season 2#and we think oh he's matured hes not the same guy that shot the wall (he's not)#but then he gets a gun put in his hand and immediately accidentally kills a cop#they told us in season one: don't put a gun in prez's hand#and in season three it went off
