Lovefool
Written By: Peter Svensson & Nina Persson
Artist: The Cardigans
Released: 1996
“Lovefool” is track #7 on The Cardigans’s third album First Band on the Moon. “Lovefool” was the song that propelled The Cardigans to international stardom. US listeners took notice when it was featured on the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann’s William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay and Top 40 Mainstream, but was kept from the Hot 100 because it was not issued as a commercial single (until December 1998, songs were not eligible to chart on the Hot 100 until they got released as single in the US). Nina Persson penned the lyrics for this song, while Peter Svensson wrote the music. Nina was sitting in an airport waiting for a plane when she was inspired to write the song and thought it would have a “slow bossa nova feel.” She told The Swedish Performing Rights Society: “I do find that the biggest hits are the ones that are the easiest to write”. Peter recalled writing the music for this song in an interview with The Independent: “To me, that song is still that moment when I wrote it in a small room, sitting on my bed in our home town. It was supposed to be some kind of a bossa nova: a totally different song, slow and mellow and sad. The production on it, though, and the disco drums made it all shinier."
[Verse 1] Dear, I fear we're facing a problem You love me no longer, I know and Maybe there is nothing that I can do To make you do Mama tells me I shouldn't bother That I ought just stick to another man A man that surely deserves me But I think you do [Pre-Chorus] So I cry, and I pray, and I beg [Chorus] Love me, love me Say that you love me Fool me, fool me Go on and fool me Love me, love me Pretend that you love me Leave me, leave me Just say that you need me So I cry and I beg for you to Love me, love me Say that you love me Leave me, leave me Just say that you need me I can't care 'bout anything but you [Verse 2] Lately I have desperately pondered Spent my nights awake and I wonder What I could have done in another way To make you stay Reason will not reach a solution I will end up lost in confusion I don't care if you really care As long as you don't go [Pre-Chorus] So I cry, and I pray, and I beg [Chorus] Love me, love me Say that you love me Fool me, fool me Go on and fool me Love me, love me Pretend that you love me Leave me, leave me Just say that you need me So I cry and I beg for you to Love me, love me Say that you love me Leave me, leave me Just say that you need me I can't care 'bout anything but you (Anything but you) [Outro] Love me, love me Say that you love me Fool me, fool me Go on and fool me Love me, love me I know that you need me I can't care 'bout anything but you

Summertime
Written By: Mikey Way, Ray Toro, Gerard Way & Frank Iero
Artist: My Chemical Romance
Released: 2010
“Summertime” is a ‘new wave’ song, allegedly believed to be written about frontman Gerard Way’s wife, Lyn-z Way. In an interview, Gerard said that it started as a riff Mikey had written, before evolving into a song they ‘couldn’t have the record without.’ “[“Summertime”] is one of the lyrically personal songs on the album, whereas the rest of it is just me talking about my worldview. So it’s a really beautiful song and again—no rules. We can have a soft song.”
[Verse 1] When the lights go out Will you take me with you And carry all this broken bone Through six years down In crowded rooms and highways I call home? Is something I can't know till now Till you picked me off the ground With brick in hand, your lip-gloss smile Your scraped-up knees and [Chorus] If you stay, I would even wait all night Or until my heart explodes, how long until we Find our way in the dark and out of harm? You can run away with me anytime you want [Verse 2] Terrified of what I'd be As a kid, from what I've seen Every single day when people try And put the pieces back together Just to smash them down Turn my headphones up real loud I don't think I need them now 'Cause you stop the noise and [Chorus] If you stay, I would even wait all night Or until my heart explodes, how long until we Find our way in the dark and out of harm? You can run away with me anytime you want [Post-Chorus] Well, anytime you want Well, anytime you want [Guitar Solo] [Bridge] Don't walk away, don't walk away Don't walk away, don't walk away! [Chorus] 'Cause if you stay, I would even wait all night Or until my heart explodes, how long until we Find our way in the dark and out of harm? You can run away with me [Post-Chorus] Or you can write it on your arm You can run away with me Anytime you want

BTS Tutorial: Pandora's Unlimited Looping
As Whoopi Goldberg once famously said in the movie Ghost: "You in danger, girl." Many chart accounts on Twitter are saying our streams have Jimin dropping out of the Top 20 already.
Looping on Pandora is a crucial strategy at a critical time when YouTube is deleting views, radio is reluctant, and our Spotify playlists must support several members. We must make use of all tools available.
Please read this post and share the link to this tutorial with all big accounts and your social media. We need all hands on deck.
Pandora is an old and trusted streaming service that counts for Billboard charts.
If you have a free 90-day premium trial, it lets you make your own playlist that you can loop for 24 straight hours without clicking around or signing in.
Here's why you don't want to just use the free version:
--the streams count three times LESS than premium streams
--Pandora will auto-play other songs in between the songs you want
--there are constant ads you have to sit through to get to a song
So just bite the bullet and use a free trial. It's good for months and they will remind you before you get charged!
Okay, so, let's assume you've been a good ARMY and you've made your free premium Pandora account.
You want to start straight away searching for songs to save into MY COLLECTION.
Today, we need to make a playlist to promote Face--specifically Like Crazy. (We can also use this strategy later to help all of BT'S songs. Our goal right now is to prevent freefall in Week 3 before D-Day is out. But this will be good practice for all our boys once we get it down pat, especially if YouTube doesn't get straightened out!)
My playlist looks like this:
Now look here. There are 1,440 minutes in a day. We know Like Crazy is 3:32 minutes long. In theory, you could loop this song 410+ times in a day and all those plays will count. We know that 150 premium streams is the equivalent of buying the song once, so looping like this is like buying the song twice that day.
THIS IS HOW WE BEAT THE DROP IN SALES AND CULLED VIEWS.
I am not saying you shouldn't buy. You should. In fact, both SHERRY and JIMIN FUNDS will be prioritizing Like Crazy digitals in Week 3, so please buy if you are US/PR ARMY and can make new accounts!
Either way, when you make a Pandora playlist of all of Jimin's Like Crazy versions, remember to click that loop button once on the bottom ribbon:
And then just sit back every day and let those streams pour in.
Puppykitties, I know you must be so tired. I have an eyestrain migraine a mile wide and am not supposed to be on the computer right now. I'm certain the last thing you want to do is delve into making new accounts when you're already working hard.
Word on the street is that using Pandora WORKS WONDERS:
We already know this is a tried and true technique for other K-pop fandoms whom I will not be mentioning here. I appreciate their hard work and respect the knowledge they've earned. Please leave them alone. ARMY needs to focus on BTS and make good use of the techniques they have learned.
For visual learners, here's an instructional video on setting up Pandora, but honestly, it's pretty intuitive.
youtube
PLEASE COPY THE LINK TO THIS TUTORIAL AND SEND IT TO EVERY MAJOR JIMIN-SUPPORTING ACCOUNT YOU KNOW ON TWITTER AND TUMBLR.
I know we have some very important conversations that need to be had, but I strongly feel we need to put shipping and solo discourse aside right now. We are losing precious time because ARMY is reluctant to use this app. But we cannot maintain buying records like we did for the first two weeks of Face.
We NEED to use Pandora--in addition to requesting radio play and using Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, and Facebook-- and hope those streams supplement sales drops.
Please do not abandon any platform even if they frustrate you. I'm just saying I don't think I can over-emphasize how crucial Pandora is going to be for Week 3 for Jimin. And isn't Jimin what unites us all?
I really, really need your help to get all major Jimin accounts familiarized and on board with this, so Jimin fans can hop on Pandora early this week and go hard. It is the most effective use of our energy right now.
FIGHTING!
Love, Roo

It's so strange how the problems that come with existing online have forced me to find words to explain concepts that I assumed were mostly universal. I thought knowledge, talent, expertise, hard work and persistence were skills that were valuable and should be encouraged in everyone. A.I. has taught me otherwise.
A.I. might as well stand for Anti-Intellectualism, because that's the spirit behind the excitement. It literally takes the skill and labor out of skilled labor. Learning is being treated like an inconvenience, a problem to be eliminated in the name of efficiency. Entire disciplines are being treated as grand sacrifices in the name of mass production and instant gratification.
Why does art need to be efficient? It's not food. It's not medicine. It's not shelter. How fast are people shoveling content into their gob that between social media, streaming, and physical media, it's still not enough? Technology has already pushed creators to pumping out content at an unhealthy and unnatural rate just to try to appease social media algorithms. Now that same output is being used to train new algorithms to pump it out even faster while cutting creators out entirely. It’s sick and cruel. And instead of this exploitation being treated like an injustice that needs to be corrected, I'm told "It's inevitable. Adapt or die. Don't put your work online if you don't want it taken", delivered either with condescending pity, callous apathy, or malicious glee.
If A.I. fans aren't taking the "hardened pragmatic realist" approach, then they are shallowly aping socialist ideas, blaming capitalism for exploitation, not the tech. A very "guns don't kill people, people kill people" take. Just because exploitation of creatives is not a new concept doesn't mean A.I. isn't responsible for making it INFINITELY WORSE. They’ve also decided that people shouldn't be pursuing art and knowledge for the sake of profit and that the skilled creators trying to protect their labor are greedy, elitist gatekeepers trying to keep art from "the common man" (because creatives aren't the common man, apparently). It's that same resentment and distrust of experts that's typical of anti-intellectualism, except creative fields are in this weird place where they aren't even respected the way STEM is, so there's an extra layer of belittling and disrespect to the othering. Consumers feel entitled to art, but they don't understand how it's made, and they definitely don't respect it as a discipline.
The glut of creative content available for "the common man" to consume has never been greater or more accessible, but it's still not enough. It's not enough to just consume art. They want ownership. They want the sense of accomplishment that comes from making something, without having actually *made* it. And despite their finger-wagging at creatives wanting to protect their careers, they also want to make some money. Etsy is flooded with A.I. prints, kindle is filled with A.I. books, spotify is loaded with A.I. songs. There’s even A.I. kickstarters. Along with replacing writers and animators, CEOs want to replace actors, voice actors, and models with simulacrums they can make do whatever they want, forever, and A.I. fans are hoping they'll be the ones hired to facilitate that process. Even without actively profiting, A.I. still devalues the work of skilled laborers. Why commission a skilled artist when for 15 dollars you can buy a machine that will give you infinite works of the same or better quality, instantly? Do you have faith in consumers to prioritize ethics over convenience? Do you think it's right and fair and good to make compensating skilled creators an act of charity rather than a necessity?
A.I. users overestimate their contribution to the final product, thinking their idea is so unique and their vision so strong, that of course they should claim ownership… conveniently ignoring all the infinite little decisions A.I. made for them based off the knowledge and fine motor skills of millions of artists. It's like they think fully realized Good Ideas are a natural resource waiting to be excavated, and traditional creators had the unfair advantage of pickaxes, physical strength and a knowledge of geology to find the rich veins. Now A.I. is providing scanners and and powerful machinery so "the common man" doesn't need strength or knowledge to quickly mine those same veins first.
But that's not what art is, and that's not how creation works. Art is communication. Imagination is fostered through life experience, observation and processing information with your human brain. It's something every living person could do, because every person is unique with unique life experiences. Creation is practice, study, experimentation, problem solving, and adapting to limitations. There is nothing stopping anyone from doing these things. Natural ability has been grossly overvalued: most people with "talent" were not making hyper-realistic paintings at 13 like Picasso. What happens is a child shows a slight aptitude, the adults in their life notice and give them positive reinforcement, and then they are motivated and encouraged to pursue that interest. So instead of treating the naturally talented as having an unfair advantage, why not blame the adults in your life for not encouraging your interests at a young age. Or if you want to be brutally honest, blame yourself for not pursuing your interests despite a lack of external validation. You have agency.
I try to imagine, what is an A.I. fan's idea of a perfect future? One where no one has any advantages that another person doesn't, where "everyone's special so no ones special"? Where all labor is automated and no one has to do anything they don't want to and everyone spends their infinite free time bettering themselves for it's own sake rather than for money? Every time they mention the evils of capitalism and how we need universal basic income and other ideas of a post-work society it makes me want to pull my hair out. We don't *have* those things. We aren't even close to those things. So it is functionally useless to factor that into your argument. Who is Tech to use A.I.'s elimination of thousands of jobs in non-Tech industries as a bargaining chip to try and incentivize the government to create safety nets for those displaced? Since when has your government prioritized it's citizens over corporations? Have proponents always been this naive, or only when trying to assuage concerns over the consequences of their new toy?
Even if we did achieve that techie utopia, what makes them think most people will use their free time productively, exercising their brain for it's own sake? Because speaking for myself, I can have every good intention of using my time to create and learn, but those things frequently lose out to short term, dopamine-driven feedback loops like social media and video games. Without any external incentives, I guarantee far less people will pursue learning for its own sake if the knowledge-based roles that keep society functioning are filled by machines. Think of how we've had to reintroduce exercise into are lives just for exercise's sake. Hows that going? Again, speaking for myself as an overweight person: Not Great. I might intellectually know physical fitness is important, but the difficulty and unenjoyable nature of exercise and the benefits not being immediate and obvious means it frequently loses out to activities I do enjoy. I know not everyone is like me, but many, many people are. Now replace physical fitness with cognitive abilities. Abilities that require work, who's benefits are totally abstract, and would be wholly unnecessary for living in an A.I dependent society. If that doesn't give you chills up your spine, then you must stand to benefit from a culture of stupidity that's hopelessly dependent on tech. And I hate you.
No ones going to read all this.

Tumblr's searching method for posts while on your account is almost comically inconvenient.
First off, private posts/reblogs made by you don't show up no matter what you search, even if you go by tags. Even if it's recent.
This is my dang account! Why would I want it to be private to ME?
"Well just copy and paste the link of your private posts!"
I don't wanna open up Google Docs every time I do that! Even if I did use this method the whole thing would be a hassle to me personally.
Plus, as far as I can tell, in mobile, you literally CAN NOT get links from private posts. This is especially true if you have a post you didn't reblog, and wrote and made yourself, in which case the share button is nonexistent and you can't go to the OG poster, because you ARE the OG poster, and there's no share link!
It doesn't even really matter if they have tags, are public or not, because even if they do and they are, if they're too old, or buried under too many posts, it seems like they don't show up even if your post is public.
Can't remember any specific tags, but you can recall what the post is about, a sentence, or a specific word?
Too bad! It STILL won't show up if you search for it!
Aaasyuugggg! This is so awful, and I'm very mad!
I was only able to find my public post I was looking for after scrolling for literally 23 minutes! This shouldn't be a thing!
And what's up with not having some kind of filter thingie for your blog? What if I wanna find my first three posts I ever made without scrolling for ages? Why can't I do that? Huh?
What if I wanna see only the posts I'm tagged in? What if I only want to see posts that have tags? Or only posts that aren't reblogs?
If there IS a way to filter, or sort through things, I haven't found it on the mobile app!
"Just use the web version then—"
My computer is in the room where my sleeping Grandma is, do you THINK I want to take time to get it and boot-up my 7+ year potato computer?
(This is the exact reason why I never use the Spotify app on phone (honestly I don't even use it on PC anymore either), because basic things like PICKING A SONG is available on PC with zero restrictions (as long as an ad doesn't play) but you have to go through some kind of 3-minute intermission since the app plays a song you don't give a hoot about and isn't even in your playlist, before your entire playlist shuffles and shoffles around for NO APPARENT REASON!)
I hope there's some kind of convenient addon or thing I just didn't ever catch or something, because this is incredibly annoying!
"Wow! You don't seem to want to compromise at all! That's a massive you-problem! Maybe if you lowered your standards—"
No. This type of thing is over nearly every other fairly-popular app where you interact with others. So why is it such a chore for Tumblr to implement it?
I shouldn't have to be inconvenienced by something that is solved on every-other social platform!
Yes, it is a me problem that I don't want to scroll all over my blog to look for that one post, but this me problem doesn't exist on whatever other social sites I go on!
#it's like almost-11#but I need to rant SO bad!#it's been bugging me ever since I got on here!#aaaahhhhh! I'm gonna be so#so annoyed if there's an easy solution in missing#I couldn't find anything when searching on Google for solutions#meaning it's extremely common knowledge#or I'm just lame for having this problem#likely the latter#I bet these ramblings are very not-coherent#can't wait to wake up tomorrow and see that I don't know English#like watch#quick access#this post is not gonna show in like a month from now

Recently HBO Max removed a big list of series from their platform (allegedly to pay less taxes). One of the removed series was my beloved Infinity Train (which was first acquired by HBO, then was discontinued without a proper ending (which was planned). Now it's removed.
I already had this issue with Spotify. Once Spotify left Russia, I had to rebuild my library locally. Thankfully, most of my tracks were either bought elsewhere or available for free. But the point still stands.
This issue just made it clear to me once again: Streaming and Subscription services can not be trusted.
They are convenient, yes, but they monopolize the content (in a way). It became really hard to get access to a lot of types of content, you can only rent it. And only the owners of the services decide if you will be able to watch your favorite movie, listen your favorite song or play your favorite game in the future.
And with the video content it's more or less easy: you can either buy it (if it's physically possible) or pirate it. It's a bit harder with music: some tracks/albums are hard to find anywhere. And in many cases you can't really buy some physical releases (e.g. japanese indie music).
And online games are the worst in this regard. If hypotetically Riot or Valve decide to stop working on LoL or Dota and turn off the servers, they are pretty much screwed. Their communities won't be able to continue the development and improve the games if they won't have a proper infrastructure and/or access to the code.
Dota is TECHNICALLY a bit better in this regard (which is proven by the existence of Dota Classic servers and North Korean dota community, you can just use an old client and even play off steam), but there are many cases where they game will not be playable at all.
All these subscriptions and services, frankly speaking, are creating more problems at this point. And in places where these problems shouldn't exist at all.

Rise Like A Phoenix - Playlist
There’s no better way to set the mood than with some music, and so I made myself a playlist to accompany the vibes of this fic when I was writing it. Now I’m sharing the fic with you, it only makes sense for me to share the vibes too!
The playlist is available on Spotify here → ♥︎
But for non Spotify users (which I was myself up until a month ago) here is the playlist plus the relevant lyrics from the songs! Because I can’t speak French or Italian, the translations come from other people on the internet, or Google Translate when I was super desperate so I apologise if they’re not entirely correct, but you get the general gist. Some also might not exactly make sense yet, but I promise everything will slot into place once you’ve had the chance to read the whole thing!
Rise Like A Phoenix // Conchita Wurst, Wiener Symphoniker
Rise like a phoenix Out of the ashes seeking rather than vengeance Retribution you were warned Once I'm transformed Once I'm reborn

[Image ID Image 1: A post by someone whose name has been cut off, but the bottom half of their profile picture looks like colored rocks. "Oh, for that they will need a double ended audio cable (3.5mm plug at either end)
Plug one end into the headphone jack and tell the computer it is headphones. Plug the other end into the mic jack and tell the computer it is a microphone.
Then you can use any free audio editing software to create your own DRM free mp3 file of any online audio source.
Then you can freely burn that file to a CD
It is called the 'Analog Hole because digital DRM can't read or block analog devices. It is part of the real reason why Apple got rid of headphone jacks."
Image 2: GIF of a burning skeleton clinging to a chain link fence.
End Image ID]
I fell like a lot of you are missing the point of the explanation. Because if you read it, the instructions say *how to get a DRM free mp3*, which can then be burned onto a CD. The drag and drop method only works if you have the files on your computer already.
Who ever wrote this made the same assumption: Any who had the tools to be able to burn CDs would be able to intuit fairly easily (Fun fact: my current computer, a desktop that requires a separate monitor, does not have a CD drive. Access to a certain type of computer is not as universal as it once was). Therefore, when asked, they assumed they were actually asking something more complicated like : How do I take a song from Spotify or one of those "you can buy a stuff but only play it on our app" things like Google Music, and burn it onto a CD. To do that, you need to get the mp3 file.
Which means that whoever wrote the explanation and everyone up in the notes share the same conclusion: Burning a CD is so easy that it shouldn't require much of an explanation.
I think that's actually a disservice to whoever might be genuinely asking, because they missed out on the days before playlists, mixed CDs were super common, or they just never quite grasped it. Imaging not knowing and then asking, and getting this answer, and even if you did follow it, all you have is mp3 files, not a CD.
So, here's how to burn a CD:
Step 1: make sure you have a computer with a CD drive available.
Step 2: Make sure that the music you want is a file on your computer.
Step 2b: If not, what is it?
A file on another device? Flash drives are your friend. If one device isn't flashdrive compatible, emailing as an attachment works too, or a micro to macro USB file transfer. (I'm almost certain that whatever BS iPhones have instead of a microUSB also allows for hooking up to a computer, since the other end it a USB)
Another CD? Put it in your computer's disc drive and you should have something like "windows media player" open up to let you play it. There is a button called "rip CD". Click it, then wait until it's done before removing the CD.
A song on Youtube? This is less than legal, so be sure to check your local laws and make an informed decision if you want to violate them, but you should be able to search the internet for "mp3s from youtube videos" and find an online converter.
A song on Spotify or Google Music? Your going to need to find it on youtube, buy it on Band camp, which will let you download the mp3, or resort to the above method of tricking the computer with an audio cable.
Step 3: Buy blank CDs. They usually come in sets of 50 or 100. Keep the ones you don't use for later.
Step 4. Open up the program that lets you play your music and double check that the songs you want on your CD are there.
Step 5: Put a blank CD in to the CD drive.
Step 6: If you've gathered all the songs you want into a playlist, there should be a burn to CD button
Alternately: open the file menu, and you should see the CD listed there as being in the drive. Use the drag and drop method to put the mp3 or other compatible files into it.
Please note: I haven't done this in years, and I've only ever used my computers built in CD drive, but this should give you a pretty good base to go forward if you've never burned a CD before.
ohhh my god seeing a post about how to burn a cd thats like ummm ok girliepops! and then 800000000 steps. get a cd burner and drag and drop the songs. you cannot possibly be this helpless!

Finding Work at Music Festivals
There are several ways to be booked as a musician if you want to perform at music festivals. To locate booking contacts, you can search online or ask friends and relatives to put you in touch with a helpful person. A substantial advantage when applying for a festival spot is a referral from someone you know. Remember that festival organizers receive many applications; thus, make yours as concise as possible and attach a YouTube video.
One of the best methods for musicians to be hired at music festivals is through networking. Work your way up cautiously and try to network with the folks in your local music scene. Always be accessible for meetings and try to set up cooperation. To succeed at music festivals, networking with the right people is crucial.
Be careful to bring up your desire for festival bookings while networking with other bands. Make sure your finest songs fit within the allotted 30 seconds because festival organizers only listen to artists for a brief period. Also, keep your contact information as straightforward as you can. Regular follow-up is essential; if unsure, don't hesitate to ask for assistance.
Any musician needs a bio, which is a crucial tool. A biography gives prospective customers and booking agencies more information about you and your music. It also allows you to exhibit your individuality to your audience. Mention your most recent project, the location where it was recorded, and the inspiration behind it when creating your biography.
When creating a bio for a music festival, be sure to include pertinent details that demonstrate your band's mission. While you can mention your experience with the genre you're writing, you shouldn't limit yourself to that. The background material should ideally be brief and pertinent to your genre.
Increasing your social media following is an excellent way to increase your chances of joining music festivals. Many promoters consult their social media profiles before choosing which musicians to hire. A vast audience does not always imply a high number of followers. It might not be enough to have a small following. However, if you're prepared to put in the effort, it's not difficult to stand apart.
The music festival business has heavily adopted social media. It has provided musicians and artists a platform to advertise their live performances and grow their following. This has led to adding several social media platforms to music festivals, making them more enjoyable for attendees and assisting companies in gaining greater visibility.
The built-in fan insights on Gigmit's artist profile will assist you in managing your fan base and securing festival bookings. Promoters utilize this data gathered from Spotify, Facebook, and YouTube to understand their audience better. In addition, you may use this information to select the finest gigs and expand your audience in various places.
Meaningful fan data was scattered and confidential up to this point. Promoters thus relied on unreliable assertions made by third parties. On the other hand, by displaying regional examples and patterns, its new FAN INSIGHTS tool clarifies fan growth rates. This function lowers risk and expedites booking for promoters.
Applying for slots is smart because music festivals prepare their schedules 12 to 18 months in advance. Well-known performers are given headline slots, while up-and-coming bands are given filler slots. While more significant well-known festivals plan up to 16 months in advance, smaller festivals often plan their programs a year or two in advance. As a result, nearly a thousand performers apply for places at festivals, making them exceedingly competitive. Depending on the festival, anything from 15 to 500 spaces may be available.
To secure a spot at a music festival, you need to do your homework and network with people in the field. Discover when the festivals start booking their headliners by first looking at showcase events. Since applying for places at national events might be challenging for individuals without expertise, it is essential to get started as soon as possible.

Why Amazon Prime is the one subscription service I can't live without — and you shouldn't either
The Insider Picks team writes about stuff we think you'll like. Business Insider has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase.
AmazonI've placed 51 Amazon orders so far in 2017.
Each was made for a different purpose, with different items, but they all had one thing in common: Amazon Prime.
I've been an Amazon Prime subscriber since my college days, and it's been a total game-changer.
The biggest perk is obviously the two-day shipping; one-day and same-day shipping may also be available depending on where you live.
As a resident of an outer borough of New York City, I've placed a few orders on my way to work, only for them to arrive by the time I got back to my apartment.
But Prime is more than just a way to get physical objects quickly; Amazon has sweetened the pot considerably over the past few years, and I take advantage of a couple of different additional Prime perks.
The biggest one is Prime Instant Video, which is Amazon's Netflix and Hulu competitor. It doesn't have the same library as either of those, but it's free when you're a Prime subscriber. I've been a Prime member since before the video service started, and it's getting significantly better all the time.
The other Prime freebie that I use regularly is Prime music. Again, the Prime music library isn't as big as Spotify's, but it's two-million-song library is sure to satisfy the tastes of the average listener. I mostly use this perk with my Echo; it's just so easy to say "Alexa, play some Miles Davis" while working.
If you're a casual Netflix and Spotify user who hasn't tried Prime, you might want to give a 30-day free trial a try. If you find that Amazon's services cover your needs, you might be able to cancel your subscriptions to both. In that case, Prime would pay for itself in under half a year. Plus there's the shipping benefit, which is a lifesaver if you're busy.
I subscribe to a number of different monthly and annual services, but I can safely say that Amazon Prime is among the ones I use more often. It's certainly become the most practical.
Start your 30-day free trial now, and find out if Prime is right for you.

Marry You
Written By: Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine & Bruno Mars
Artist: Bruno Mars
Released: 2011
Philip Lawrence commented on the song during an interview with American Songwriter: “When we were coming up with that song, we had this image of a slow-mo video in Vegas of a couple running, and she’s in her gown and he’s in his tux, the wedding party is behind them and everyone’s raging. This sort of crazy, daring, wedding feeling. It was more of a racy kind of idea, as opposed to this classic marriage tune it has become.“ He added "We always thought it was a good song and catchy, but we didn’t think it would affect pop culture the way that it has. The first time we saw one of those YouTube videos, it changed everything for us. We were almost in tears, just the power of music… the power of what it is we can create. These ideas, words, and lyrics and how they can get into the fabric of society and affect people’s lives in such an amazing way.” Originally slated as the fourth and last single from “Doo-Wops And Hooligans”, Marry You is a typical pop love song, where Bruno is so in love with this girl that he would even immediately marry her.
[Chorus] It's a beautiful night We're looking for something dumb to do Hey, baby, I think I wanna marry you Is it the look in your eyes Or is it this dancing juice? Who cares, baby? I think I wanna marry you [Verse 1] Well, I know this little chapel on the boulevard, we can go No one will know Oh, come on, girl Who cares if we're trashed? Got a pocket full of cash we can blow Shots of Patrón And it's on, girl [Pre-Chorus] Don't say no, no, no, no, no Just say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah And we'll go, go, go, go, go If you're ready, like I'm ready [Chorus] 'Cause it's a beautiful night We're looking for something dumb to do Hey, baby, I think I wanna marry you Is it the look in your eyes Or is it this dancing juice? Who cares, baby? I think I wanna marry you Oh [Verse 2] I'll go get a ring, let the choir bells sing like, "Ooh" So what you wanna do? Let's just run, girl If we wake up and you wanna break up, that's cool No, I won't blame you It was fun, girl [Pre-Chorus] Don't say no, no, no, no, no Just say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah And we'll go, go, go, go, go If you're ready, like I'm ready [Chorus] 'Cause it's a beautiful night We're looking for something dumb to do Hey, baby, I think I wanna marry you Is it the look in your eyes Or is it this dancing juice? Who cares, baby? I think I wanna marry you [Bridge] Just say, "I do" Tell me right now, baby Tell me right now, baby, baby Just say, "I do" Tell me right now, baby Tell me right now, baby, baby, oh [Chorus] It's a beautiful night We're looking for something dumb to do Hey, baby, I think I wanna marry you Is it the look in your eyes Or is it this dancing juice? Who cares, baby? I think I wanna marry you

hmmm. yeah ima still watch it. I loved most of the songs and Disney+ had my money from the beginning.
I love the casts voices and how varied it was. Back when Hamilton was new everybody was happy that people of color were taking on the roles of these white racists bc it was upsetting conservatives to see poc and blacks talking about the founding with music and dances that were decidely not white.
I heard about LMM saying the n word and I keep telling yall everybody nonblack has said it. Your fav nonblack has said it, your best nonblack friend has said it. Anyone who's said they haven't said it is either lying or wasn't raised in US areas.
Whether they're still saying it and whether they're actions are the same as the kind of people who would say it is what you gotta look for.
Anyway if you got Disney+ and you like the songs go ahead and watch it. It doesn't invalidate any feelings you have towards white people glorifying Confederate monuments for you to like a well performed show.
There is no show/media that isnt problematic. Hamilton got a lot of people interested in theater that werent before, the fact that LMM made the whole performance available on spotify/cds/etc made it accessible to people like me who would've never heard it otherwise. And it's popularity may make it so other productions make their way to people's living rooms.
All of this good stuff doesn't make it impossible for me to say that I think the cast should've engaged with fans about the fact that just because they played the characters and made them seem likeable and cool, it doesn't detract from the fact that slavery was alive and largely accepted by the people being portrayed.
Like I really don't like this wave of "be perfect or you're out" it's unrealistic.
People should be able to learn to enjoy things while also recognizing the harmful parts and learning to engage in productive conversations with people over it.
I mean do I think the Hamilton/Burr fandom was weird? Yeah, but I also think both those guys would hate to see themselves portrayed by two poc that people think should fuck each other.
Frankly very little fandom stuff bothers me after I discovered Jesus/Lazarus fanfic was a thing.
Like, I wouldn't care if Confederate monuments were put in museums and labeled with info on why they were built, every racist reason they were built and accompanied by tour guides who didn't gloss over the slavery and racism aspect that's part of their history. We shouldn't forget and they shouldn't be allowed to forget what the truth if those statues are.
Same with this play, I really wish there was a commentary at the end of Hamilton where they talk about the real versions of these people critically.
So yeah anyway I been waiting to see wait for it performed for years so Ima be watching lol.
I know y'all not watching avatar if yall not watching Hamilton tho. Cause the racism in ATLA post I saw was quite rough.
But ima still watch that too cause it has some really good parts and I said I'd finish it someday.
Basically: Creators should take extra steps to set the record straight with fans when portraying real world people in better lights than they deserve. Fans should be willing and able to take people going that character sucked in real life because xyz.
jsyk I am loving this vibrational moment in worldwide culture with tearing down statues of confederates, genocidal conquerors/explorers, slavers, and racist founding fathers, but y'all, I'm really gonna need E.VER.Y.BO.DY to keep aaaaall of that energy when lin manuel miranda tries to re-release hamilton for real life money next year

Maximum Effort!!
Puppykitties! Perk ya ears up today! I've compiled a list of actions we need to hop all over right now. PLEASE REBLOG.
We must be smart and efficient with every second we have from now until Thursday, April 6th at 11:59PM EST.
First up--let's switch to a very targeted playlist on Spotify. Set your alarm and switch accounts at 4 hours and 45 minutes in.
Also remember to play Like Crazy (and only Like Crazy) from these massive playlists when you have 4 minutes to spare.
Next, YouTube. That MOTHERFUCKER is freezing and deleting our streams to the point where we been stuck at 33 million for days but we HAVE to keep trying. It weighs too heavily to stop. We absolutely cannot abandon this ASSHOLE OF A PLATFORM GODDAMNIT.
If you don't have time to fiddle with playlists today, put this one on and just click around every two hours:
If you CAN manually stream, then please engage with this shorter and more targeted list the next two days (check in every 35 minutes and hit refresh up to 40 times in a 24-hour period for maximum charting):
However, please also prioritize Apple Music and Pandora today. Even if it's uncomfortable or totally new to you, now's the time, today's the day, we need these streams for Jimin.
If you want to play on the Apple Music site, here's a good enough playlist.
HOWEVER, I recommend instead signing into Stationhead with your Apple Music login and joining this specific streaming party as they play Jimin 24/7 and that counts as engaged, premium streams, so you can just set it and forget it.
Also have the music video playing nonstop on a tab with your Facebook please--these views won't get deleted.
Now: the Pandora Experiment. Please. Please try it If Pandora is available in your country, please sign up for a 60 day free trial, make a playlist of Jimin's songs including all the versions of Like Crazy, and set it to loop. Doing this can give you over 200 streams a day that all count for charts. That counts the same as if you bought the song itself. I know you're tired. Do you think fatigue stops Park Jimin? Of course not! Then it shouldn't stop you.
I made a playlist and I'm looping it and it's the easiest streams I've ever gotten; I feel like I'm robbing the music industry.
While you're streaming, you must buy. I'm sorry. I know you've already bought a lot. I know you're tired. I know it's a pain in the ass to make emails and accounts and source other funding. I know. But we need 100,000 sales by midnight Thursday and we are just a bit over half way. So as much as it's exhausting, everyone, buy all 5 versions of the digital single Like Crazy today if you're a US/PR ARMY. And prepare to do it again tomorrow. It boils down to a few minutes and $3.80. There's no getting around it. YOU NEED TO BUY AGAIN.
If you are not a US ARMY but you can spare the money, please donate to US ARMY funds:
And if you just absolutely cannot afford it, do not stress or feel shame. You still have vital roles you can play while the rest of us are running around like our hair is on fire. We need you to stream hard, contact radio stations online, and VOTE.
Which brings me to the fact we have several votes going on that Jimin is losing. The most critical today is on the MuBeat app for the CORE MUSIC AWARDS.
When you're in the bathroom or on the bus or waiting for your food to heat up, if you have 3 minutes of idle time, that's when you watch free videos on idol apps like MuBeat, IdolPlus, Fan N Star, and Choeaedol to collect points so you can vote for Jimin on these awards!
These are all the ones I have specifically for ARMY duties:
Finally, everyone, it may never come to fruition, but please click through all active links to radio stations on this linktree. These spins on these stations will count for Billboard. Please click active links, go to ALERTS, paste in the words "Like Crazy by Jimin of BTS" and submit.
And on one last note, I want to reset Intention.
I went a bit negative yesterday and I regret it. All of you love Jimin; none of you need to be brow-beaten to support him. This is extremely stressful. None of us want to see Jimin dragged or shamed or made to feel like his efforts were wasted. However, antis are always going to insult him, our perfectionist is always going to feel humble, and the media and music industry are always looking for a nice juicy downfall. Nothing can touch the fact that Jimin made history this week.
I realize now that we have to be like our boy, and be stubborn enough to get right back up and keep on going. So today, let our intention be positive. Imagine Jimin's happy face and giggles and soft warm feelings, knowing that we gave our all to support him. Wherever it lands, whatever happens, we do this not out of spite for our rivals but out of love for Park Jimin. Love always wins.
The rest is noise. Tune it out. Focus only on what matters.
Work hard, but do it with love.
God's speed and thank you, puppykitties. I have such sincere admiration for you all.
Love, Roo
