Realized that I may have accidentally made the staliens planet have an axial tilt of around 90° (begins rapidly losing realism points)
#rat rambles#oc posting#eternal gales#I was thinking abt the main two regions that Ive developed the seasons of and realized hm.#one region that has super extreme seasons that go from searing heat to fridgid cold#and another that doesnt varry much seasonally and also spends most of the year in a constant state of twilight#there sure is an axial tilt that has those traits and is also hypothetically wildly inhospitable to most life#as I've said before I dont care abt making the staliens and their planet hyper realistic (as becomes clear within seconds of scrutiny)#but I do like fucking around with this sorta stuff so this is both a cool thing to realize and a sort of miserable thing to realize#mostly because I have No idea where that leaves the temperature situation in the region the main cast come from#they logistically are likely by the equator and Im sure I can find a bunch of ppl who've talked abt the logistics of what that region would#look like on this sort of planet from a climate perspective so I might look into that at some point#again my main concern is temurature as while Ive always imagined the area is on the cooler end its never been intended to be proper cold#mainly because as Ive said before I imagine they live in a swampy region#and Im not a swamp expert but I imagine they mostly are around in more humid areas#and cold and humid arent exactly best buddies#ofc I can just pull shit out of my ass to make the area warmer need be I just like whining#but yeah this is pretty important for me to at least have a vague understanding of so when I eventually make a world map its not just#complete nonsense and also so I can more accurately build the different cultures across different regions#now to be fair the surface environment wont actually be very important to a lot of herds but its important to Me ok
