Fallen London PCs in silly outfits & a space bat. Rambling below cut.

I haven't actually gone back to FL in years—the most adjacent thing I've played this year was replaying The Thirst Frontier, haha—but I find myself thinking of it a lot! I'd already liked game books, but it was my first experience with that style of IF that had such a weird universe, and gender options besides. It seems like much less of a deal these days, but it really blew my mind at the time!

These two PCs were my more serious attempts at getting through the game—the one on the right was even used for a little roleplay—so I decided to draw them! ... Only to realize they were displayed with the least matching clothes known to mankind, for the stats. (The right one also owns 49 pairs of rags, for some reason. They're wearing one.)

(Also yes I know it's nomen on Sacksmas—I just wanted to doodle a bat :P . You can imagine it's a sack of other things if you'd like?)

Looking back I didn't understand much of the lore, and I doubt what little I remember would be enough to catch up with current releases (... unless I started over again. For the fifth time.) so I don't know if I'm returning to the game any time soon, especially since I can't even access some of them 😔. Still nice to reminisce, though!
