Baccano! vs. Lackadaisy

As stories set near the end of the roaring 20s full of gangsters, bootlegging, silliness, and spectacular violence, the two invite comparison.. specifically, comparison of Halloween costumes!

while Baccano! has a certain gusto that Isaac and Miria bring to everything (which definitely comes through better in the animation):

Also bonus points for the killer opening soundtrack! I didn’t really see enough of Baccano! to compare the two but this specific parallel really amuses me. I will guess that if you like one of these you’ll probably like the other.
