hugs — are you and f/o affectionate / open about your relationship in public? Due to Theseus being... Theseus, it'd be nearly impossible to keep his relationship with Dianthus secret <3 he's the kind of person to barge into a room (uninvited) and say something crazy like "gaze upon my beautiful bride and WEEP, for you shall never know the true depths of her grace, her splendor, her charm!!!" to a bunch of uninterested Elysians. A lil embarassing to be sure, but Theseus is always loud and proud about his love <3 Asterius is a little more private, but its only because he's quieter in general. He's a bit more chaste with his affections, too. Gently gripping Dia's hand letting her fall asleep against him. People tend to get the sense of it but sometimes folks just go up and ask him and he'll be like "Yes? what did you think. <snork>" For Elisabetta and Andreas on the other hand, they have to keep their affections secret for many, many years due to the circumstances of their meeting. It is only when Andreas reaches out to her again after his period of isolation that they're about to start being openly affectionate. ...I imagine they'd still be a bit private at first, out of habit more than anything else, but the people of Tassing would pick up on Things between them almost right away 😭 Andreas walks into the bakery and Grett immedietly asks "so when are you going to introduce me to your new ladyfriend, hmm?" ( I haven't posted a pic of Grett here yet just imagine the sweetest looking blonde milf ) soulmates — do you believe in soulmates? what about your f/o? did that change for either of you when you met each other? This one is complicated for me... I think if soulmates are real, then each person has multiple potential soulmates rather than just one. A heart can hold so much love, after all. But sometimes you do meet that someone who just makes your heart soar in a way no one else could...! I think Andreas and Theseus wouldn't believe in soulmates. Andreas' first marriage ended up being a little disastrous, not because of anything either of them did but because... they didn't love each other, and then a tragedy ripped thru what was already an emptiness. with Elisabetta it was different before they even officially got together, he felt like he was made for her, in a way. So he's thankful that despite all the tragedy they've faced, individually and together, that that connection is still strong. Maybe that's what a soulmate is.

Before Theseus got with Asterius and Dianthus, he sort of...lost interest in lovers fairly quickly. It was to a point where he started to think he simply wasn't meant for love, despite the loneliness he often felt. With Asterius, he felt some kind of connection immedietly, despite the circumstances in which they met. That connection followed him into the underworld, and later bloomed into the love they share now. And Dianthus was the first person Theseus ever really fell for when he was was a young pirince, though as he aged those memories became distant. Still, there are times where he feels youthful in his love again. Despite the time and space between them, they never stopped feeling for one another. And maybe that's what a soulmate is, too <3
