#theres more to humanizing a character but it doesn't always fall into woobie territory

I think a small thing I appreciate about Gold Ingot's writing in Take 2 is that while he is humanized more in it to be a bit less of the typical "cartoonishly cruel reality show host" archetype, the narrative still acknowledges he wasn't a good person and messed up..... There's a difference between humanizing a bad person to explain their motives while not justifying them and insisting that they've done nothing wrong and/or justifying their actions... Again I do wish that the show conveyed the idea that "he cared for his assistants but did so in a terrible manner" much better... But that aside I have no issue with how he's written so far... I only hope his arc doesn't just end next episode or he gets killed off in the finale.
