besties should i spend $118 on two (2) individual snowdrop bulbs that may not survive in my growing zone 🧐
the problem with niche interests is that that are niche 😔
#the answer is no but i got on the special list in like august to even be able to order them 😭#there's only one supplier in the country and im Pretty sure they will survive here bc we're right on the edge of the zone?#and i think we have a little bit of a microclimate and good snow cover so maybe they would be fine#but even if i was 100% sure theybwould survive thats sooo expensive for literally two individual bulbs 😭#and i have to get both if i order bc the minimum order is $79 and they're $49 and $69 respectively#i hateeee that i want these so bad and most people dont even know they exist or care but its so cool to me :(#and im truly considering blowing that much money#they're fall/winter blooming!!!#they should bloom in november and december which Nothing does here#anyway i knew they were expensive but i wasn't able to check the price and availability before now :(#no way am i spending that 😭 but i want them so badddd#this has been a shitpost#horticulture tag#apparently lots of people collect rare snowdrops in like the uk but here people dont even know varieties#i have a friend who didn't know what a snowdrop was i showed her a pic and she was like omg why are the flowers upside down is it dying 🤣
