also for everyone complaining that the game is now "too hard": people were complaining about the previous version because the game was too easy. i hate flick notes too but they don't make the game that much harder. and the cheaty hold note bug feature made the game a straight-up joke of a rhythm game. yeah the new notes feel clunky, but it's a matter of getting used to it. just like every other rhythm game.
#୧ ‧₊˚ ⋅🌷 ruby.txt#rhythm hive#there's also the hp system now. but that's honestly been a standard feature of rhythm games for years#and with all the extra free gems you get out of high combos#i feel like it's only fair to raise the difficulty up a little bit#'cause let's be real if you're struggling to even survive through the whole song#you couldn't hope to get any combo gems at all anyway#plus you get five free restarts PER DAY so you're not wasting so many music discs replaying a song because you can't quite clear it#that's way more leeway than any rhythm game i've ever played before#honestly if there's anything positive i can say about rhythm hive#it's that you literally never run out of stamina. and that's even when you're no-lifeing the game like i did once upon a time#other rhythm games only let you play a couple times a day because of how their stamina systems work#take a sip of water every time i say “rhythm game”
