Taking everything in me to not write a short little oneshot for Les Mis where after Fantine gets laid off she returns to the Thénardiers Inn for Cosette and when she realizes how her daughter was treated and what was done to her, nothing can save the Thénardiers from her

Call it some Hugo-ified version of "Hell Hath No Fury Like An Angry Mother" -- "In Which Is Learned The Flames of Hell Are But Embers Compared To A Mother's Wrath" ????

#I've lowkey had this thought stewing for some time but with Fantine appreciation month coming up I'm thinking abt it even more #it probably wouldnt be very much and would leave off on an ambiguous note #but i think fantine both deserves a fix-it au and a revenge arc #fantine #les mis #les miserables #there's also another au I've imagined with fantine raising her daughter in paris and valjean is absent from the plot #at least for a time?#but that is neither fleshed out nor does it make sense.....yet
