Carl and I went to a fall festival today with over 200 vendors and came home with all our Christmas shopping for each other done and a good start on Christmas shopping for others. The only problem with this sort of shopping is not that now we know what we're getting from the other for Christmas--it's the gift that's delightful, not the surprise. No, the problem is that I love the items so much I don't want to wait until Christmas. I want to frame and hang the paintings we bought for each other's study now! I want to start using our gorgeous new pottery mugs now! I don't want to wait!

Which is why these will all be stored in Carl's study, not mine, and will be well hidden from me until it's time to wrap everything.
