We’re getting the League of Villain profiles!

Hmm, still thinking about character profiles… might try and do something with that after this arc, since I didn’t do it before the USJ arc. Or maybe I should wait until after the Sports Festival? I suppose I’ll have to wait and see if I have enough material…
Still, it does feel weird to try and do character profiles when there are other ones out there that are so much more detailed and really dig into things. I mean, it can’t necessarily hurt for me to do, but it’d also push back the chapters even further when I just want to get caught up, so… bleh.
Anyways, chapter.
[No. 16 - Know Your Enemies]
First off, Mineta, why. Just. Sigh.
Our first panel has izuku and Tsuyu wading towards the edge of the water, Izuku cradling his broken finger while Tsuyu drags Mineta along. Long and short, Mineta says the villains will be stuck together all day. Izuku is muttering about how lucky they were, because that move was a real gamble, and if the villains had been smart, a few of them would have been hidden under the water. He can guess they weren’t thinking ahead, but they still need to be careful…
Tsuyu tells him to stop, since what he’s muttering about is scary. She then asks him what they should do now. Izuku determines that their top priority is calling for help, and that if possible, they should follow the shoreline and make for the exit, avoiding the plaza altogether. (Meanwhile, Tsuyu asks if Izuku’s okay, which he confirms even while wincing over his injury.) Izuku’s narration recounts that their first battle ended in a win, but that he’d made a deadly wrong assumption.
Huh. Izuku is using his elbow pad as a temporary compress for his broken finger. Interesting.
Tumblr media
Tsuyu accepts Izuku’s plan, and then notes that Aizawa is drawing a large number of villains to the plaza. Izuku is worried about their teacher, noting that there’s too many enemies. Of course, Eraserhead is holding his own out there, but it’s too much for him, and that he had to know that, but jumped in to protect the class anyways.
Mineta think Izuku is planning something stupid (which I mean, rude but fair) while Tsuyu gives a neutral ribbit. Izuku clarifies that he isn’t saying they should dive right into the fight - just that they watch for an opening and do what they can to lighten their teacher’s load. The narration from above finishes with an ominous statement - thinking that they stood a chance against those enemies was a grave miscalculation.
Then we get an overview of the USJ and where everyone was sent, serving as the ‘cover page’ for the chapter.
Tumblr media
Interestingly, neither Aoyama or Hagakure have a confirmed location, though I am aware that Hagakure later states she was in the same zone as Shouto. And Shouji… oh, poor Shouji…
Tumblr media
Can’t believe my good hugs boy was slandered like this… damn you Viz…
Not to mention the disrespect to our goddess Yaomomo… when will it end...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next up, we get to see Shouto being casually intimidating. He exhales a chilled breath as his shoulder starts to steam, musing about the villains’ divide and conquer strategy. He then notes with a half-hearted preemptive apology that it’s hard to see the villains who were in the landslide zone as any more than thugs with quirks they can’t even handle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jesus christ where does his ice end.
Shouto approaches the closest villain - perhaps the leader of that squad - his boots crunching in the ice as his left side continues to steam. The squad leader(?) calls him a bastard and complains how he reacted the second he was warped there, as well as wonders if he’s really just a kid before complaining about the pain from the frostbite of the ice.
Shouto briefly flashes back to Shigaraki mentioning how they brought along so many playmates (which I guess confirms that Jirou and/or Shouji forwarded some of what the villains were saying down in the plaza because otherwise there’s no way they should have heard from that distance.) He thinks about how the villains want to kill All Might, and and first, they’d all seemed elite, so they could use their numbers to overwhelm him. But taking a closer look, the pawns are only there for the kids, nothing but a gang of low-level cannon fodder. As far as he can tell, there are only about four or five really dangerous individuals there.
He then sits down(!!!) as he gets the villains’ attention, noting that at the rate they’re going, their skin will rot away from frostbite. The villains are alarm, but Shouto continues on, explaining that he’s trying to become a hero, and that heroes don’t do such horrible things. As he thinks about what he needs to do next, he asks the villains what makes them think they can kill All Might, and to tell him their plan.
Tumblr media
Shouto, my man, that is a power move and a half right there, I cannot believe he actually sits down and makes them talk to him like an unruly class of students or sommat. Just, fucking hell, I don’t even know if he realizes how effectively he just asserted his dominance.
Tumblr media
Our next scene shift (and the last for this post) is over to Yaomomo, Jirou, and Kaminari in the mountain zone, surrounded by enemies.
Tumblr media
Pick your fighter. I’m Birb Dude.
A lot of those enemies have weapons of zome kind and are overall fairly intimidating, though there’s also this one fucker-
Tumblr media
I’m sorry I just cannot take this one seriously, what the FUCK is that. There’s certainly some other questionable villains in this mess, but that one just. What.
Anyways. Kaminari just dodges a heavy punch from the big villain with the weird helmet on. He yelps as he gets closer to the girls and gets into formation (back to back to back), complaining about his whole life flashing before his eyes and asking who the hell those guys are and what they’re doing there. Jirou tells him to worry about that later, with Yaomomo stating they need to figure out how to get away from that mob.
Jirou asks Kaminari to confirm he’s a ‘lightning guy’, and then tells him to just fry them all to a crisp. While she’s holding a presumably metal sword. Yeah no, I can’t see anything wrong with that plan. Kaminari is offended because why wasn’t she paying attention when were partners during the battle training?
He then goes on to explain that he can only cover himself in electricity (so he wants a weapon), then goes on to say that he can discharge it, but he can’t control it - he’d hit them as well! Kind of like Todoroki’s power. He also states that he’s still trying to call for help, but his special transceiver is being jammed. He then finishes with the statement that they can’t rely on him, so he’s relying on them, giving a thumbs up with a bit of zap coming off of it.
Tumblr media
Jirou grumbles about how he blabs a lot for a guy, then turns and kicks him into the crowd of villains, telling him to be a human stun gun. Kaminari yelps in disbelief at the betrayal, smacking right into the huge villain who almost punched him before and giving the guy a real good zap. Jirou is unimpressed as Kaminari realizes that the adhoc plan actually worked, and that the two can in fact rely on him after all. Jirou notes that that was easy.
Two other villains move to go after Kaminari, who is STILL somehow zapping the guy (how is that villain not dead yet??), with the rock fisted guy aiming a massive bouldery fist at a scared Kaminari. However, right before it hits, it gets cracked open by some kind of soundsave, leaving the villain’s unprotected fist to land right in Kaminari’s face and get them brutally zapped as well.
The boar-masked villain with knives tries to leap in, but a net shot from seemingly nowhere catches him mid-air and sends him falling to the ground caught up in it. We see right after that it was shot from Yaomomo’s right forearm / elbow, all while she’s blocking another strike from a different villain with her staff. She tells Jirou and Kaminari to get serious, with Jirou apologizing as she lifts her short sword again.
Jirou unplugs her ear jack from the speaker in her right boot, the jack retracting to normal length as she notes that she had a good plan, but Kaminari… (something? IDK. I guess he’s in the way? Or she wasn’t expecting his quirk limitations?)
We get her full name - Jirou Kyoka - and a description of her quirk, Earphone Jack.
Tumblr media
We also get to see her use her quirk without the speakers, directing one of those amplified heartbeats as a direct attack at some of the villains, who hold their hears as they shout from the pain. Jirou blocks another up-close sword attack with her own short sword, nothing that in her costume request, she asked for a way to focus her sound in one direction.
Tumblr media
A question about her costume, like. Why are the speakers in her boots? I mean, I know her costume needed speakers to direct her quirk, but why not go for something like Present Mic’s costume where she could have the speakers on her shoulders and so a lot closer to her quirk???
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, I need to try and keep remembering that these are first draft costumes made by fifteen year olds and not meant to be used in the field / against villains yet. Sometimes I am a dumb. Thank you discord for knocking my head straight.
Moving on, we get Yaomomo kicking another villain back as she states that ‘it’s ready’, which confuses Jirou and I guess the villains as well. The villain she kicked stumbles back as Yaomomo crouches over, her back starting to bulge as she notes that it took some time, what with it being a larger object. The back of her costume tears open in a fairly gruesome-seeming image, only for the next panel to reveal it’s some kind of huge sheet that shoot out over her and Jirou’s heads before coming down to completely cover them both.
Tumblr media
The villains are confused about the sheet, asking if the kids are trying to shield themselves. Meanwhile, Kaminari seems done shocking the other villains, stumbling as others start to run at him with their weapons or hands poised to strike. Momo clarifies that the sheet is a 100 mm thick insulation sheet, then tells Kaminari ‘now.’ Kaminari, nose bloody, realizes her plan and let her know that. He lifts his arms, telling the villains that he’s actually super strong before bringing them down and fully unleashing his quirk, zapping all of them at once.
Tumblr media
Pikachu, use Thunder!
As the quirk wears off, we see all the villains are in no condition to keep fighting. Smoke rises from the insulated sheet as Yaomomo lifts the edge, noting that now that that is handled, she’s worried about the others, so they need to hurry up and regroup. Jirou is flustered as she points out Yaomomo’s wardrobe malfunction (which I will not be sharing here), while Yaomomo calmly replies she can make more clothes. We also get a blurb on Yaomomo’s quirk:
Tumblr media
As well as probably one of the most important things that Bones cut out for some stupid reason: belly rolls!
Tumblr media
Yes, Yaomomo actually has a healthy weight in the manga. I mean, all the girls do, but still. Why do animes just ruin this stuff.
Anyways, our last two panels of the page and this half of the chapter show Kaminari totally brain dead as he cheers, with another blurb about his quirk:
Tumblr media
Behind all three of them, we see a fist smashing up out of the ground, showing that someone managed to dodge that super-attack after all…
Anyways, that’s a wrap for now. Next time is all Aizawa and Shigaraki, and that’s gonna be… messy. See y’all then!

Every Comic Has A Story
Tomura Shigaraki x Reader
Warnings: softboi shiggy, fluff, swearing
Summary: When Japan’s most dangerous villain meets a witty and flirty comic store clerk.
Tumblr media
The mall was unsurprisingly packed, as it was the weekend. Everyone had something to do or somewhere to go. Shopping for items, chatting with friends. Not for Shigaraki though.
After his tight encounter with Midoriya, he walked the crowded mall all alone, stuck in his own thoughts. How could he become stronger? To become better than Stain? To defeat All Might? His thoughts would be dispersed when a loud angry voice boomed from his right side.
“How many times do I gotta tell you kids? This stuff is 18+!” Shigaraki turned his attentive gaze towards your voice, a voice that could instantly gain anyone’s attention. Well, aside from how loud it was. He slowly walked into the store, staring at a messy rack full of comics but secretly eavesdropping on the conversation.
“Ma’am, I’m 18! See?” The boy handed you an ID card, one that instantly made you aware of how fake it was. The card was poorly constructed and taped for crying out loud. “You all look 12. Now get lost before I call one of those bad guys to come down and beat your asses.” The boys ran out of the shop in a hurry, fearing for their lives. You turned your attention to the new customer who wore his black sweater a bit too suspiciously. “Aye, you.”
Shigaraki calmly turned his head towards your direction. He was sure to cover his face, hanging his head down low. “You’re lookin’ hella suspicious. Did you come here to shoplift?” He stood in his place, squinting his eyes at the ground. Were you always this talkative and annoying? “Are you profiling me?”
You were taken aback by his response, moving your hands and shaking your head frantically. “Uh, no. Not at all. Sorry.” His face filled with annoyance, moving to grab a random comic and walking to your counter. You glanced at the book he chose, ‘Pretty Princess Diaries’. A giggle couldn’t help but escape your lips, causing Shigaraki to grow more agitated. You reached under the counter and grabbed a more suitable comic for him. “I think you’d enjoy this better. It’s about the psychology of the villain, Memphis, and how he defeats the heroes.”
There was no reason as to why he even stepped foot in the comic store but this was perfect for Shigaraki. It would give him many ideas and ways to help in the current situation he was in. However, he wasn’t willing to pay the price. “I don’t feel like buying this.” He began to lower his final finger on the cover page, ready to deteriorate it. That way, you’d be frightened by him. “Oh, don’t worry. It’s on the house.”
He removed his entire hand completely away from the comic, watching you take it and place it in a white bag. Confusion was the only emotion he was feeling. You handed him the bag with a smile. Even though you could barely see his face, he strongly caught your interest. He looked mysterious and interesting. Or maybe you’ve just been reading too many romance themes. “If you like it, come back and get the next one.”
Shigaraki looked at you with disgust, fully aware of the love eyes you sent him. He mumbled a quick “sure” and left the store, hoping to never step foot inside ever again.
When he got back from the long travel, he tossed the bag to the side and slumped on his cold bed. He glanced at the plastic bag before pulling out the comic and taking a long look at it. A dark matte cover, red cheapfire font imprinted in the center, and underneath was the main villain. Shigaraki had nothing else better to do so he decided to read only a bit of it. Going from one page, to thirteen, to forty, until it reached the end. He wasn’t aware but it was already 4am in the morning.
Shigaraki entered the store, the same place he refused to step foot in again. He placed the white bag on the counter, setting his empty hands back in his pockets. “I need the next one.” You could barely understand him through his mumbling, causing you to lean in closer. You noticed a few of his hidden features. His fragile face, chapped lips. Chapped lips?
“Nah, what you really need is some chapstick for those crusty ass lips.” You grabbed your cherry lip balm from your purse, holding it out to him with a wink. “You can have mine. It’s my favourite flavour.” Shigaraki snatched the item from your hand, shoving it in his pocket with a huff of annoyance. Your flirtatious presence really started to get on his nerves.
This would be his last visit to you and he couldn’t wait to leave but then, a thought popped off in his head. He needed a pawn to do his dirty work. The work that he nor his group could carry out due to the huge attention it would gain. He needed someone who was as easy as you. “You know, you’re quite a view.”
You raised a brow, not expecting the sudden compliment. “Oh, thanks.” Shigaraki wasn’t the best at flirting but he needed to try in order to fully wield you in. “When’s your lunch break?” You sat straighter in your chair, a smile slowly forming across your face. You weren’t really sure when but you knew your friend would cover your shift if he knew about the situation. “I can end now. Eijiro!” You called in the back room. “I need you to cover my shift please.”
Without even waiting for a response, you grabbed your purse and stood beside an irritated Shigaraki. He didn’t expect to be hanging out with you so soon and wasn’t fully mentally prepared for your excessive energy. It was going to be a long dreadful day.
You both sat on the edge of the water fountain, ice cream in hand. It had only been an hour and Shigaraki was ready to end himself. You gladly licked your ice cream while he sat still, staring at you. Everything about you annoyed him. The way you sat perfectly under the mall sunroof or how graceful you looked eating your ice cream. You took notice of the way his pinky extended away from his cone. “What are you, British?” You pointed at his finger, causing him to look down at it. “I don’t think all British people do that.”
You shrugged your shoulders, standing up from your spot. He followed your movements, his height causing him to look down on you. You embraced him in a tight hold, feeling the rigidness of his body. “I had a great time. By the way, what’s your name?”
He wasted no time in saying his name, incapable of standing your presence any longer. “Shigaraki.” Finally, you’d regret spending the day with him and leave him alone. You stood there silent in confusion, resting a finger on your chin. “Huh, like the villain?” Holy shit, this girl was dumber than he thought. “Anyways I gotta go. Come by tomorrow so we can do this again.” You left him speechless, standing all alone in the middle of the busy mall.
He was sure of giving up. You weren’t worth all the mental suffering but here he was with you again, walking around the same mall. Earlier, he had mentioned how he hated holding hands so instead, you linked your arm with his while he had his hands in his pockets. The big advertisement sign of skincare caught your attention, stopping you in your tracks and making him do the same. “Look Shigz, we should go in. You need that.”
You looked up at him with a cheeky smile, causing him to groan in revulsion. He wasn’t sure why he was going along with it. Applying chapstick was enough for him but to you, if it worked on his lips, it would definitely work on his face.
He noticed all the skin products on display, walking down the extremely bright aisle. He heard his nickname being called and turned around, feeling your soft hands rub against his face. “You said you had a skin condition so the employee recommended me this.” Shigaraki watched as you ran your fingers from his face, all the way down to his neck. He never recalled feeling another human’s touch in such a caring way.
You both made your way towards the counter, paying for the product and leaving. To his surprise, he actually bought the cream. The very first time in his life, he actually bought something instead of stealing it. You were a bad influence on him and his work and he needed nothing more than to depart from you.
“Shit, it’s almost time for my shift.” You stood on your tippy toes, placing a gentle kiss on his cheek before steadily jogging off. “I’ll see you soon!” Never in his life had he been given such affection. Shigaraki touched the area of where your lips had kissed with delicate fingers.
That night, he tossed and turned in his bed, struggling to find sleep. You were an internal battle to him. On one side, he hated your guts and wanted nothing more than to escape from you. On the other, he hated to say it but he enjoyed your company. The way you made him feel something he’d never felt in all his years of living. He decided at that moment, he’d confess to you. No, nothing romantic in any way but strictly his identity. The identity that you somehow failed to process.
“What do you mean she doesn’t work here?” The next day, Shigaraki stepped foot in the comic shop, only to be told you weren’t there. The new clerk adjusted his glasses. “I’m sorry, sir. You’re gonna have to describe her.” A now frustrated Shigaraki grew heavily impatient, not having the time to deal with this. He realized he never asked for your name, a stupid rookie mistake he made. “She’s this short, (y/h/c) hair, (y/e/c) eyes, a little slow, annoying, and dumb.”
The man shook his head with a puzzled face. “I’m sorry but I just started working here and I don’t know much of who works here.” Shigaraki scratched his neck, seconds away from decaying him but restraining himself. “What’s the point of asking me that question then?”
He walked out of the store defeated. Shockingly, he didn’t reach over the counter to kill the goof. You really were a bad influence on him. A moment of walking later, he felt a tap on his shoulder. “Shigz.”
He recognized the fine voice all too clearly. He started to broil in anger. In a matter of seconds, he quickly spun around to face you. “Where were you? I tried visiting you and you weren’t there.” You were astounded, never witnessing Shigaraki this mad before. Usually, he was calm and quiet. “I quit my job. They weren’t paying good.”
He closed his eyes, letting the stress leave his body. “Listen closely.” He opened his red eyes which met yours. In that instant, he wasn’t sure what to say. He wanted to express how he felt but his feelings were too complicated and corrupted. “Like I said, I’m Tomura Shigaraki. The leader of the League of Villains.”
“Uh, yeah. You already told me.” He paused in perplexity, having the inability to speak or understand the situation. What did you mean you already knew? For the longest time, he thought you weren’t the brightest and he was okay with that. You began to laugh, trying to maintain it with a hand clasped on your mouth. “Did you really think I didn’t know? It was pretty obvious, Shigz. I just wanted to get to know you as you. Not how everyone sees you.”
He stood motionless feeling flabbergasted, allowing you to grab onto his arm. “I never asked you for your name.” If he never mentioned it, you’d had completely forgotten about it. “(Y/n).”
“(Y/n)” He trailed in a slight whisper, repeating after you. “Why don’t I take you on a proper date?”
With the biggest smile that warmed Shigaraki’s cold heart, you held him in closer.
“I would like that a lot.”

Spinner (Shuichi Iguchi) X Fem!Villian!Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: An AU fic where the LoV has a safe, mansion-like hideout where they can chill and watch movies! It’s the best! Also, I couldn’t decide whether to stick with the “Spinner has two cocks” hc or not, but I ended up writing how I felt. If it makes you feel uncomfortable, I’m truly sorry in advance <3 I’m still learning. Enjoy!
Summary: Spinner and yourself get left alone in the hideout for a day. After watching him work out vigorously, you end up realizing how much you want to help him relax his body in the best way possible.
Warnings: Smut (18+), cussing, thigh riding, unofficial friends-with-benefits, praise kink, body worship kink, and two dicks hc
Word Count: 5.1k
The wood floor sends chills up your legs as you move down the stair steps of the quiet mansion. It’s early in the morning, and you knew not one of your friends would voluntarily choose to be awake yet. Through the large living room windows, you could finally see the sun come up over the horizon.
Walking into the kitchen, you spot a piece of paper placed on the bar counter. “Be back tomorrow night,” it reads. There’s a heart scrawled in red pen next to the words. Probably from Toga wanting to be in on the message.
“Ohh, I guess they’re up…,” you yawn. The house starts to feel even more empty than before. All of your friends have gone to do criminal activities together. However, it feels nice to know that you don't have to make breakfast for Shigaraki this morning. Dude never knows what he wants to eat.
You decide to make a serving of eggs for yourself, and you toss a couple of pieces of bread into the toaster as the stove heats up the pan. While cooking the eggs, your head pops up at the sound of floor boards moving above you. Then, you hear a light clacking on the hardwood. It’s moving closer to the stairs behind you. The noise sends goosebumps up to your neck as you turn off the stove burner and quickly arm yourself with a kitchen knife. You move your legs at the same pace as the person coming down the stairs; the knife held above your head being gripped tightly by your fists. You hold your breath as they take one more step down towards you. And without thinking, your body lunges forward to assault the intruder.
“Ahhh!!” You yell out. Spinner thrusts his hand out to grab your forearm as the sharp blade comes towards his face at a surprising speed. The movement and strength of his entire body cause you to fumble backward until your back is against the stair wall. With his hand on your forearm still, he squeezes hard until your armed hand involuntarily drops the knife to the ground. You’re stuck, pressed against the wall, while Spinner holds your arms above your head.
“Shuichi, fuck—” You gasp. Both of your chests rising and falling quickly against one another.
Shuichi’s eyes widen at the sight of your eyebrows knitted together, mouth in an ‘o’ shape. “Oh my, shit, I’m so sorry,” he blushes. He lets go of your arms like they had been burning the scales off his palms. “Just what the hell were you trying to do?” He asks squatting down to pick up the knife from the floor. There’s an indent in the wood where the blade came in contact with it. With the knife now in his hand, it starts to swing around your face as he lectures you about proper knife holding technique. Your mind feels fuzzy as you try to focus back on Spinner’s voice. Rubbing the pain away from your arm, your cheeks heat up at the thought of his unusual handling of you. These thoughts are interrupted when he starts to walk away to the kitchen. “From now on, please leave the knife handling to me… or Toga. Really,” he says back at you.
“I’m fine, I think,” you mutter, “Geez, I really thought you were someone else. The others are away until tomorrow.” Following him back to the kitchen, you walk to the stove to put your fried eggs on a plate. Embarrassed, you attempt to change the conversation. “Could you hang with me today?” You blurt out. “I mean, you probably have plans, but the TV has streaming services that I’ve always wanted to try. Maybe, we could choose something together later?” You ask.
His head whips around from grabbing your pieces of toast, and walks to put them on your place with a giant smile. “Oh, uh, yeah sure! Sounds fun!” He bellows. “I plan to train out in the backyard for a bit today. So, once I’m done I’ll let you know. We can make popcorn and everything.”
—-
An hour passed since you and Spinner had eaten breakfast together. He’s currently coming back down the stairs from changing out of his pajamas. You watch him walk to the back door in a gray short sleeve, black running shorts, and an old pair of Shigaraki’s red sneakers. It warmed your heart to see him so comfortable. The League finally had some luck in finding a nice, secluded hideout even though money was still tight. You couldn’t wait to relax with your friend later on the couch to explore a world neither had ever experienced. Shigaraki’s Netflix account.
You grab the remote to log in to the profile named, “Tomura.” Pressing the down button repeatedly, you scroll down through the numerous genre pages with tons of movies and TV shows lined up for you and your friends to indulge in. It excites you to have new things to enjoy. It could possibly take the edge off of everyone living in the house. You save your most favorite movie choices in a List; they’re all titles you had seen on billboards and posters in the city as you travelled as fugitives.
Done with sitting with the excitement alone, you get up from the living room couch to walk across the house to the backyard. The sun was fully out and warming your cheeks as you approached the large arched window facing the green lawn. You had planned to leave the house to meet Shuichi out in the grass, but what you saw was enough to stop you in your tracks.
Spinner duel wields swords, one in each hand. You've always admired his assertion and confidence while fighting, even though you didn’t get too much of it off of the battlefield. You hoped he hadn’t caught you approaching the window as you continue to watch him swing and jab at the air. Your eyes were attached to his concentrated expression and the clanking sounds of his sword coming together as he crosses his arms. He looks so dangerous from afar. This made you laugh internally as it was starkly different than the way he actually made you feel. You flashback to earlier that morning when Shuichi had subdued you in a matter of seconds. It sent a shiver down your spine then, and now, as you eye your friend across the yard. This reflection makes you want to treat him in some other way. Though, you didn’t know how.
You get pulled out of your thoughts as your eyes spot a gleam of light swaying back and forth. You focus back on your friend again, and realize he is waving a sword at you with a smirk on his face. You blush hard and decide to wave back. It’s too late to try to hide.
“How long have you been standing there, huh?“ His voice becomes less and less muffled as he jogs through the yard to the glass between you two.
“I-I just wanted to tell you about the movies I found,” you say loudly while putting your hand to your heated cheek. His smug reaction surprised you. He probably still had some courageous energy from just coming off of his workout. You start to laugh nervously as he pushes open the door with one hand — both blade handles being held in his other. “You looked like you were in your element,” you smiled widely and a blush still grazes your nose.
“Aw, oh, haha thanks! Even though we’re safe right now in the place,” he pauses to look up at the high ceiling and back out at the clean lawn, “I need to keep up with training. And maybe you should too, huh, bud? I was able to pin you so easily earlier, haha! You usually don’t give in so quickly.” I just want you to be safe in case someone actually dares to mess with you for real… Even though I wouldn’t want to leave her side, anyway. What am I thinking? Stop it, Shuichi, dammit. He clears his throat, “I’m gonna go shower and change. Once I come back down, I'm all yours!” He steps out of his shoes to carry them to the mudroom, along with both of his swords. You leave your place by the window to go to the kitchen to microwave popcorn and grab a soda for the two of you while Spinner runs up the stairs to get ready.
—-
“Let’s go! I’m so ready, Y/N!” You look up from your phone to hear your friend bounding down the stairs. He’s back in the living room wearing his usual comfort outfit. A gray sweatshirt and jeans… and of course, a Stain mask across his eyes. He hops over the couch back to get comfortable next to you. You already have your favorite fluffy blanket laying on your lap; your toes peeking through at the end of it as your legs are propped up on the coffee table. Spinner laughs and blushes when he sees you kicking your feet in excitement as you smile up at him.
“Ok, so I chose Avengers, I hope that’s alright? We’ve never seen it before, so I figured—,” you gauge his reaction before handing him the remote to let him explore the way you did.
He takes the remote and presses play. “Hell yeah, an action movie, huh. This one’s about those fictional hero guys, right? I’m excited to see what the villains are like.” He tilts his head to the side.
As you settled deeper into the couch, you felt a tug at the blanket on your lap. Spinner was pulling it slowly into his own, moving in a bit closer next to your side as he did so. The surprising act gave you a lump in your throat, you grabbed some popcorn from the bowl to push the feeling away.
As you watch the movie with Spinner, you couldn’t help but catch glances at him next to you. His eyes were held at attention on the screen, so you took the chance to watch his happiness like earlier. His muscular arm next to you brushed against yours a couple times when he tensed at a suspenseful scene; the sudden movements caused you to wait in anticipation to see if he would finally make a move. He bounced the leg touching your own as he waited for new characters to make their entrances. All of these movements, including the grunts that fell from his lips during training, had stirred up your insides for far too long. You really need some relief.
Deciding to take a chance with your feelings, you lift your hand from your side and place it on top of his shaking thigh. Spinner immediately stops bouncing his leg. The stimulation of it rubbing against your own was gone; only the slight numbness of your exposed leg remained. You move forward with your choice as he didn’t complain from your touch. You start to rub small circles into his jeans with your thumb, testing the waters even more now.
Shuichi slowly looks down at the blanket covering his thigh to imagine the placement of your own hand on him. Touching him. His breath hitches in his throat as you begin the drag your hand upwards towards his inner thigh, and then back down. Closing his eyes, he puts his arm around your shoulder and pulls you in tighter. He hopes you were doing this on purpose— your hand teasing him to the greatest degree… hoping to get close enough to press your palm into the space between his legs. Oh, shit.
While trying to regulate your breathing, you squeezed the inside of Spinner's thigh lightly. Even this touch gets him to throw his head back and gasp. You finally get brave enough to look up, and you see him squirming from your touch. You lock eyes for a second before he turns away, blushing.
“Oh, god, uh Y/N, I’m so sorry! You probably didn’t mean for it to feel like that… I mean, for it to mean that, huh?” He apologizes repeatedly and removes his arm from your shoulder to cover his face with both his palms. Still, your hand is holding onto his thigh, now a calming gesture.
“Spinner, no no, I should be apologizing, I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable. I did mean it that way, but I’ll stop,” you admit as you pull your hand away. “Are you still fine to watch the movie—“
Removing his hands from his pink face, he locks eyes with you again. “We can leave the movie on,” Shuichi breathes in deeply before reaching across your shoulders again and stopping to put his scaled hand on the back of your neck. “I wanted it to mean it in that way, Y/N. So, don’t— don’t stop! Ok?” He let his toothy smile return to his face this time. You shyly smile back and lean into him with your hand on his cheek. Both of your faces meet when the tip of his snout taps your nose for confirmation.
“Please, just kiss me already,” you whisper.
Without a second passing, the hand on your neck is pulling you into him as your lips lock onto his. Spinner opens his eyes mid-kiss, daring himself to accept that you're doing this with him. The hand on his cheek moves quickly towards his chest. Pushing Spinner backward to the sofa pillows, you lift your legs to straddle his lap. The blanket is already forgotten on the ground as your lips continue to move together. Damn, he was so good at this, but you still could feel the tightness in his chest. It was time to take the lead to treat him to something he deserved.
“Mhm,” he groans in response to your quick actions. Your arms are thrown around his neck now as you sit in his lap. It felt as if you were floating, yet you try your hardest to stay in the moment with him. You could already feel the heat transferring back and forth from your attached bodies. His thighs supporting your ass, the nape of his neck giving post to the wandering hands in his hair. Spinner allows himself to slouch a bit into the cushion, hoping to bring your center into his bulge. You took this as permission to pull away from his lips and wiggle your hips to ease the tension.
“You look so good, Shuichi,” you set your hands on his shoulders, kneading into them. This earns a deep groan from his throat. He was probably sore from working his body earlier. You continue to knead and press into him as you move your lips to his neck. “Let me please you. I want to show,” you kiss him once, “just how appreciative I am of you.” You open your mouth to kiss his neck again, and again until his hands have found your hips to pull you down onto his hard-on. You nip his neck at the sudden pressure on your core. “You deserve this, Shuichi. Will you be good for me?” You say before sucking his neck as you grind into him. “Indulge me?” All the while he’s whimpering and nodding to the rhythm of your words and moves. You leave his lap and settle yourself to a kneeling position on the floor. The sweetheart pulls a pillow from behind him and hands it to you.
“Use this if you’re gonna do that, sweetie,” he breathes out. You innocently look up at him, even though the new pet name makes your knees weak. You want to jump his bones already.
You get comfortable on the pillow and help spread his knees apart so that you can get closer. With your hands on his knees, you push your palms up towards his bulge, finally. You lift the bottom of his sweatshirt to get to his pant’s button and fly. Taking your time, you look into his eyes as you pull the zipper down. You could already see the top of his boxer briefs — which does little to hide how excited he was for this. Spinner helps you pull his jeans and briefs off the rest of the way, eagerly throwing them to the side as you’re left kneeling in front of him to ogle. He then sits back to wait for your next move.
“I like being on the same page as my partner.” You say before lifting your shift over your head and throwing it to his clothing pile. It was a day off for Spinner and you both, so wearing anything restricting underneath your shirt wasn’t an option. You watch his eyes fall to your chest. A sight he’s always dreamt of, but hasn’t gotten to experience until now. You could tell he wasn’t disappointed at looking at your body in front of him due to his cocks twitching and already beading precum. The view motivates you to lean into him to grab one in each hand. Both of your fists side by side, you bite your lip as you begin pumping each one slowly.
“You're not, ohh damn, scared, huh?” He moans out.
“Of you?” You continue to pump him idly as you speak. “Almost never. You make us all feel so safe. But..,.” you pause to give each dick small licks to their leaking tips. “You looked so dangerous out there using your blades earlier. I couldn’t help myself to tame you,” you tease.
“Oh!” He groans in pleasure as he tosses his head to rest on the cushion behind him. “Use your mouth some more… please.”
“Of course, handsome.” Obliging his request, you slowly dip your head onto one of his cocks, using your tongue to wet every inch that you could. The taste of his precum hit your pallet and is surprisingly sweet. The feeling of having your friend’s length invade your mouth is euphoric; it felt as if it wasn’t meant to happen but you both want it so bad. You knew the both of you would get an earful if ever your other comrades found out. Pushing away from the thought, you clench your eyelids to prepare to take Spinner in deeper.
You stop the movement of your left hand and focus on the muscles of your throat. Willing Shuichi to stay still as you work, you place a hand on his abs to press him into the cushion. You had never been able to feel the firmness of his body like this before. You bob your head easily on his cock, controlling your tongue as much as possible when coming up to his tip after each round. Feeling a hand on the crown of your head, you look up from under your lashes to watch Spinner’s face twist. His teeth clenched together tightly.
Pulling off of him with a soft popping noise, you shyly ask, “Shuichi, could you take your sweatshirt off for me?”
Spinner’s eyes widen at the request. He almost prefers to keep it on; to hide the rest of his body from your dark eyes. However, the look and attention you give him makes him feel wanted. “Yeah-ah, here,” he slowly pulls away the gray sweatshirt you had watched him tug on all throughout the movie. Which was long forgotten, by the way. Now, the only things left covering his skin are bandages running up his forearms and that mask.
“I love how hot your body is, Shuichi,” you move your hands to his abdomen, rubbing up and down his abs and then up towards his chest. The texture of his scales on your fingertips gave you goosebumps. Each groove teasing your center with possible pleasure. “I hope that after this… Maybe I’ll be able to see your body more often,” you move your hand back downwards to brush your thumb over his tip teasingly. His body flinches at the sudden alleviation. You smile up at him before getting up off your knees. Spinner takes your hand to help balance you, oblivious to your next maneuver.
Getting up off of the floor, you realize how the sexual tension from the past hour has affected your body. Slick slowly drips down the inside of your leg while your sleep shorts do almost nothing to stop it. While holding Spinner’s hand, you take his other so that they’re resting on your hips. “Take them off?”
Spinner gulps before slipping his two fingers with both hands into the hem of your shorts and underwear to pull them down carefully. His throat tightens as he catches his first glimpse at your panties, then after exposing the rest of you his mouth drops open slightly. Your garments are completely off now, pooled around your feet.
You kick them away as you giggle at his unmoving expression. You pull him out of his blushing state as you push us shoulders back into the couch and straddle one of his large, scaled thighs. Your wet heat now rests directly on his skin. Spinner locks eyes with you in awe of your new position. Smiling, you reach down to grab one of his pulsating cocks which have been lacking attention throughout your undressing. You give one tug before starting to grind down into his thigh.
“Oh, shit.” Your empty hand is gripping the back of Spinner’s neck to help balance you as you ride away. You pump him even quicker now to the rhythm of your hips thrusts. “Oohhh, dammit, Y/N, you look so hot, can I?” He holds a hand out to your chest, asking for permission. Biting your lip in pleasure, you nod greedily at his offer. While one of his hands grips your waist, the other makes haste to massage a bouncing breast. He ogles at the way your flesh feels in his hand. Spinner pinches and rolls your nipple over and over, taking note of the sweet noises falling from your lips. Removing his hand from your waist, he takes the other into his hand and moves his lips towards your chest. His tongue comes out, long and thick, to lick and press into your nipple. His groans of pleasure excite the numerous nerve endings he gives attention to.
“Nnnph, Spinner! Shit, that f-feels so good, I might—,” the slick on your inner thigh now covering his own, your hips are able to move quickly across every groove on his muscular thigh. Both of you pant heavily and whine at the pleasures being exchanged. “But, I can’t, not y-yet, this is about you!” You attempt to lift off his thigh before his strong hands pull you right back down.
“No w-way are you stopping yourself from cumming on my account, Y/N. I-I want to see you c-cum for me.” Spinner words bring over the edge as he bounces the leg you're sitting upon. His words of encouragement bring your orgasm to a stronger level than anticipated. Yet, you reach to jerk off both of his dicks in tandem, your fingers barely able to wrap around the added circumference.
“Yes, yes, yes, oh god thank you, Shuichi,” you moan out, falling from your high. You slow your grinding pace before pulling him into a heated kiss. You give all your energy to show him thanks by transferring into a passion.
Suddenly, you feel yourself being lifted off of the couch onto your feet. Your legs are shaking voluntarily, so you put a hand on Spinner’s shoulder as he gets up from his spot on the couch. You’re facing each other in front of the sofa, both of you using your own hands to caress and explore each other’s bodies. “I can’t wait any longer, Y/N… I know you want to please me,” He comes in close to your ear to whisper, “but I really just want to fuck you into this couch myself, ok?”
You had originally planned to ride him into oblivion, but this option seems too good to pass up. “Ok,” you agree, biting your lip hard. His new tone makes you want to squeal. Spinner takes your forearm to lead you into position on the couch. You lay down across the sofa with your legs spread apart, unashamed to show off your wet folds that are reddened from rubbing against the ridges of his body. You watch as Shuichi kneels between your spread thighs, his chest heaving as his eyes dart to every part of your body. You bring your hands up again to trace the divots in his arms and abdomen, silently worshiping the body above you. He blushes at the attention and leans down to kiss you in earnest. You can feel both of his lubricious, hardened cocks prodding at your inner open thighs.
Spinner grabs your legs and presses them deeper into your chest and slowly guides one of his cocks to rub against your folds. “You’re a tease, Shuichi.”
“Not as much as you, beautiful.” He slowly enters you, your body letting go of all of its restrictions. You mewl at the sight and feeling of your body being pushed to its limits. You had not prepared at all for Shuichi’s girth. His other weeping cock is left to hump the outside of your vulva as he begins to fuck you into the cushion as promised. “Oh shit, so tight,” he grunts.
You do your best to focus on your breathing as you're slacked jawed by the pleasure surging through your chest. Breathes exchanged between the both of you are hot and humid, intoxicating. Spinner continues to pump in and out of you at an unforgiving pace, eager to reach his own climax. You lift one of your legs up and he smiles as he takes your suggestion to heart. Your leg gets thrown over Spinner’s shoulder, allowing for him to plow deeper into your fluttering pussy. The only things you both could hear was skin slapping, grunts, whines, and the TV relaying the movie you left to play. The sight of Spinner punishing you for teasing him all this time makes you fall into his submission.
You can’t stand the knot building up in your stomach, so you hurry your hand to your clit to rub tight circles into it to get closer to some sort of release. Spinner watches as your fingers rub into your button and his mouth falls open again. His eyes are wide and straining to keep on your every move as he pants out, “Uhh, fuck, I love watching you please yourself, gorgeous. Are you getting close again?”
You were teetering on the edge of ecstasy. Spinner’s other cock dripping excitedly as it swells into your lifted leg. “Oh yes, don’t stop, Shuichi.”
“Cum for me, Y/N, cum on my cock.” Once these commanding words left his mouth in this moment, your pupils dilated in lust. Heart beating out of your chest, moving your fingers faster to obey his instruction. The knot in your abdomen unties, and you let your juices flow over his cock in conquest.
This time there’s no riding out your orgasm as Spinner continues to rail into your cunt, chasing after his own sweet release. You stare up at his shaking figure, surprised at him for becoming so domineering in order to please you. You grab your breasts to massage and tease your nipples to give him a different measure to get off on. Finally, his thrusts start to falter before he drops your leg from his shoulder to pull out of you. You whimper at the loss of fullness. “I-I’m gonna come, fuck, where do you want it?” His sounds change from whining pants to primal grunts as he pumps himself to you feeling your chest.
“Right here, Shuichi, you can cum on my chest,” you give in a sultry voice. You watch his needy expression turn into excitement as he aims to unload on you. You listen to the clicking caused by the mixture of your juices and his precum as he enthusiastically jerks both of his cocks in one large hand. You smile up at him in encouragement as you continue to please your breasts.
“I’m cumming, I’m cumming,” he howls out with his eyes closed, head tossed back once again. Ropes of his cum shoot onto your chest and neck as Spinner moans unabashedly. All the while, you're watching him with a smile, blushing about the mess you made of him. Spinner cools down from his high quickly before he leans down to give you a quick kiss. He climbs out from between your legs to rush to the kitchen for something. You hear drawers being pulled open and slammed shut; his heavy steps against the wood as he frantically searches. Lastly, you hear the sink being turned on to its maximum, and then shut off again.
Stepping sounds come quickly closer towards you and you look up at Shuichi standing above your laying body. Catching his breath, he holds a few damp paper towels at his side, “I couldn’t find any of those nice washcloths in there.” You grin sheepishly as he collects his load from your chest and neck, extremely careful not to get it in your hair. Spinner sets the crumpled ball of paper on the coffee table, and then gives you a hand to help you sit up.
You both look at the television together, not having realized there's only a half hour or so left of the movie to watch. You laugh together as you see each other get pulled in by the movie again. Spinner grabs the remote to pause it. “Here, uh,” he walks to get your clothes from the ground to hand them to you, “get comfy and then, maybe... we can watch where we left off earlier?” He pulls on his sweatshirt and boxers as you do the same with your outfit.
“Yeah, I'd like that,” you grab the blanket from the floor and motion for him to come sit with you again. Spinner plays the movie once you're both covered by the blanket, more comfortable to hold each other close after what you’d experienced. You let out a sigh in bliss at how your afternoon has turned out.

Good Graces Pt. 2
Finally got the second half of this fic together. Find it on Ao3 or the first part here on Tumblr.
Nothing explicit takes place, however, the non-canon talk is of a sexual nature. Also, Dabi is a masochist and likes being ordered around. But we knew this already, didn’t we?
Words: 2,789
Rating: M for language and sexual themes
The wait ended two days later in the same spot. Dabi was in the process of pouring himself his second drink of the night when a misty-edged hole opened in reality behind the bar. From it stepped the tall, elegant form of Kurogiri. Dabi had never really considered what a demon might look like, but the League’s second-in-command/butler/voice of reason provided plenty of inspiration. Impeccable suit. Ability to show up anywhere. Form too immaterial to hurt, but still capable of making someone pay for trying. As always, Dabi gave him a polite nod and fought back memories of how it had felt to unexpectedly be elbow-deep in that shifting darkness.
“Ah, Dabi. Just the person I was hoping to see.” Deep. Smooth as high-end nihonshu. The kind of voice that could talk somebody into trading away their firstborn. Or into joining a half-assed villain ensemble.
Dabi paused with his glass to his lips. He made a sound he hoped came across as Yes, I’m listening rather than Help, I’ve swallowed my own tongue in mortal terror.
“Shigaraki Tomura wishes to speak with you at your earliest convenience.”
This was it. This was not a drill. Dabi put down the glass without taking a sip. “Where?”
“He is in his room at the moment. I will open the way, if you wish to go now.”
He’d just slid off the stool when the words registered. The air behind him changed. It was like the faint static charge living things gave off and a feeling of being watched all at once. Except Dabi knew if he turned he’d see only a hazy oval of black floating there, the perfect width and length to swallow him completely.
He didn’t want to use the warp gate. No fucking way. Problem was he’d already gotten up—couldn’t sit back down without looking like a coward or a dumbass or both. And he sure as hell wasn’t about to admit he already knew where Shigaraki’s room was to the person who amounted to the closest thing the guy had to a father.
So, Dabi grabbed his glass again. Knocked back the contents. Pretended it was just like jumping into a cold pool on a summer day as he turned and plunged into the waiting darkness.
Nothing existed anymore. Not time. Not space. Not self. Then something—maybe Kurogiri’s will or just simple momentum—carried him back into being. He returned to reality with a gasp. Catching his balance, he blinked and took stock of his new surroundings.
Shigaraki sat on his heels not a meter away, staring up through the stiff fingers of his favorite fashion statement. Large sheets of paper littered the floorboards in front of him. Maps, Dabi realized, noting the grid lines and coordinate markings. Somewhere way out in the sticks, if all the green and brown were any clue. Turning his head, he saw shelves lining the walls. Books? No, too many the same size and too thin. Cases for games—hundreds of them. More than one person could finish without giving up on everything else in life. Then again, what did he know? He’d never been allowed to have any as a kid. Never been allowed to have anything that might distract him from the glorious future planned out for him since day one. And just look at how well that had gone.
At any rate, the room didn’t seem to have the right ambiance to banish or murder someone in. Dabi let his hopes peek out from the bunker of suspicion.
“What’s this stuff for?” he asked, nodding to the maps on the ground.
Nothing from Shigaraki for an adrenaline-spiking second. Then, he crooked the fingers of one hand. “Sit.”
Dabi obeyed, pacing himself. Step in closer. Let one leg fold under him. Just bend the other so the sole of his boot lay flat on the floor. Rest same side elbow on knee. Prop the whole casual façade up with the other hand behind him.
“You got something you wanna say?” Cool nonchalance despite all the spit having vanished from inside his mouth.
Closing those intense eyes, his boss-and-possibly-more drew a long inhale. Didn’t even gag on the musty museum specimen smell of the taxidermy clutching his face. Then it was Dabi’s turn to suck in a breath as Shigaraki pulled off the gray hand with fumbling fingers, setting it aside.
“I want you to lead the others on their first job,” he said, complete with direct eye contact.
Any pretense of self-assurance abandoned Dabi. His stomach clenched as if braced for a punch. He pumped his brain for something droll, snappy, cocky in response. The well had run dry. He settled for practical.
“What do you want us to do?”
Shigaraki’s shoulders relaxed a fraction, though his stoic expression never wavered. “I was given some interesting information about UA’s precious fledgling heroes. Seems they’re headed to a remote training camp in the mountains for the summer. No one will be looking after them except two of their teachers and four pros who specialize in wilderness rescue missions. I want you to ruin their little retreat.”
Dabi’s spine went stiff and straight as an exclamation point. “I didn’t sign up to kill kids—even baby heroes.”
But Shigaraki was already shaking his head halfway through. “Killing them isn’t the point. That would generate too much outrage, hypocritical or no. The police might actually pry their heads from their asses and make a united effort to hunt us down with that much public pressure on them. Not to mention every third-rate pro in the country would crawl out of the woodwork, looking to make headlines. We’d be finished before we ever got started.
“No, what I have in mind is some training of our own.”
Attention swapped places with apprehension. “Oh?”
“None of us have worked together. Most of us haven’t worked on a team at all. This is an opportunity to test how well your quirks and styles compliment or clash with one another.”
“So, what? We crash their field trip and start fucking shit up? Flee the scene when the fighting gets too heated?”
“I came up with a level objective for you to focus on.” From on top of the maps, Shigaraki scooped up a thick manila folder and handed it to him.
Taking it, Dabi flipped to the first set of pages inside. His expression stayed set in stone while his stomach took a cliff dive.
A pretty girl with skin the color of bubblegum and squiggly little horns peeking out of her cotton candy hair smiled out at him from the photo in the top corner.
Name: Ashido Mina
Age: 15
Quirk: Acid
“You got hold of the students’ profiles? Impressive.” And a potential fucking disaster waiting to happen.
Shigaraki shrugged modestly, lightly scratching a new crop of scabs that had popped up in jagged furrows on both sides of his neck. Scabs that hadn’t been there a few days ago. “It’s just their teachers’ assessments of their quirks and performance during class assignments. Personal information like relatives and home addresses were better protected.”
The vice slowly closing its jaws around Dabi’s thumping heart released. Regardless, he made sure not to linger on any one student as he leafed through several of the profiles. Just focused on breathing normally and pretending to read for what seemed like a reasonable amount of time before moving to the next. He’d wait until he didn’t have an audience to allow himself to register anything.
“What’s this objective supposed to be?” he inquired.
“Capture one of the stronger, more notable students and ask him to join us.”
A muscle in his cheek jumped when Shigaraki reached over and flipped to a report in the middle of the folder. Dabi forced himself not only to look but see.
The boy scowling out of the picture was blonde. Broad-shouldered. Red-eyed, though not as beautifully as the one sitting across the way. Dabi’s pulse evened out.
“Bakugou Katsuki,” he read. “Isn’t this the kid they had to bind and gag at UA’s Sports Festival—even though he won the damn thing?”
“The same.”
“The hell do we want him for? I thought we were full capacity on lunatics already.”
A sigh. “To spook the school’s supporters and society at large, for one. It’s not enough to kill heroes. More will just take their place. We have to convince people to withdraw their support of them. Turn against them, though that won’t come until later.”
Dabi snorted. “This little asshole will never agree to sign on with us. He’s obsessed with proving he’s above everyone else. I know the type.”
A twitch of interest crossed Shigaraki’s face. Instead of pressing, though, he filed the slip away in that mysterious brain of his. “I don’t give half a shit if he agrees. All that matters is he blabs to anyone who’ll listen that we targeted and tried to corrupt him once we let him ‘escape’.”
Tapping his fingers on the stack of papers, Dabi let the big picture come into focus. “Instead of outright attacking the school, we’re undermining their image. Making all the mommies and daddies wonder if a career as a pro is as great as they thought it would be for their precious snot-nosed bastards. Getting donors to think twice before reaching for those wallets. We’re playing the long game. Smart.” A thin smile tugged at one end of Dabi’s mouth. “Which leaves just one question. Why have me lead instead of yourself? People might accuse me of sleeping my way to the top.”
A lovely shade of pink, like the inner coating of a seashell, livened up Shigaraki’s cheeks. “We never—!” He huffed and turned away, pink deepening to rose and spreading to the tops of his ears when he noticed Dabi’s smile had widened to a grin. “You’re fucking with me, aren’t you?”
“Guilty. Well, on the last part anyway.”
Shigaraki continued to fume, hopes of an answer dwindling with each second of silence. Then, just when an apology was in the works, “Because I’m a shitty leader.”
Dabi exchanged his smile for arched eyebrows. “”And you think I’d make a better one?”
“You take initiative when you need to, and show restraint when you should. You’re able to read people without giving away much of anything about yourself. The others respect you. They like you. Anyway, from a purely tactical standpoint, since your quirk is long range you can attack and give orders without getting swept up in the melee. And…” Blood-soaked irises looked at him through a tangled curtain of white hair for a moment before flitting back to the safety of the maps. “I trust you.”
Every response Dabi had lined up crumbled. With them gone, he couldn’t pretend not to notice what they’d been hiding. Exposed to proper light and air, it bloomed, bright and bold despite the ruin it grew from.
“I won’t fail.” The words were hoarse, but came out easily enough for a promise he’d swore to make to no one except himself ever again.
“I know you won’t. Because this isn’t about winning or losing. I want you and the others to test yourselves as individuals and as a team. Do your best. Find what works. What doesn’t. We’ll figure out where to go from there. Together.”
He’d joined the League of Villains looking for a means to exact revenge. Being told what he’d always wanted to hear made for a hell of a bonus prize.
Dabi pounced. His mouth mashed into Shigaraki’s, muffling an astonished yelp. Cold hands latched onto the front of his shirt. Not Decaying. Not shoving. Clinging. Insisting. He obliged, wrapping his arms around the other man’s waist and shoulders, then letting his weight carry them both to the floor. They rolled across the maps, scattering stolen papers as they went. Lips and teeth and tongue combined in different ways between every panting break for air.
Winding up sprawled on top, Dabi relocated his kisses to Shigaraki’s neck. The whimper that came out of him when just a bit of suction was applied under the corner of his jaw went directly to Dabi’s dick. Shigaraki writhed, supple and strong, yet unsure and overwhelmed. His fingers—three on each hand—clutched hard enough to hurt through a carapace of scar tissue. The scabs crosshatching his neck scraped the tongue and tasted of rust.
He surpassed any fantasy conjured up in the past few weeks. Because he was real. Unpredictable. And, in that slice of time at least, he was Dabi’s.
Shigaraki gasped and arched at the feel of a hand slipping up under his shirt. Dabi became so absorbed in the smooth, cool texture of the skin beneath his fingertips he didn’t think anything of the arm that snaked around his own, or the heel hooked behind his knee until, with a sharp twist of hip, he was rolled. The air rushed out of him in a huff as he hit the floor. Shigaraki didn’t look it, but he was solid, planting himself on Dabi’s chest and pinning both his wrists above his head.
“No,” he said, decisive if out of breath. “We do this my way.”
Dabi kept perfectly still. One wriggle, one shift, and he would’ve cum in his pants right then and there. So, he relaxed one muscle group at a time. Controlled his breathing. Showed his boss what a good boy he could be.
“What did you have in mind?” he asked, already positive he’d like the answer.
Despite his command of the situation, Shigaraki’s gaze wandered off to the side. Unsure. Shy. God, it was going to be fun fucking both descriptions right out of him.
“I don’t have…experience…with this, ah, subject.”
Dabi had to keep his teeth clamped together to keep from laughing. Good. He had to be good or he wouldn’t get any treats.
“So, I thought…maybe we could each make a list. Of things we like—or might like. And of stuff we don’t, or aren’t interested in. Then…pick and agree on an option. Until…until someone gets bored or just doesn’t want to anymore or…whatever.”
The habit of exceeding expectations was quickly becoming one of Dabi’s favorite things about his new boss. “Is that what you’ve been up to these past three days? Thinking about what you want to do to me?”
Shigaraki shifted his weight forward a bit, breathing definitely speeding up a notch. “Not the entire three days,” he muttered.
Dabi rested his hands on slim hips, keeping them still before they sent him over the edge. “When did you want this list?”
He considered, worrying his already cracked bottom lip with his teeth and then catching the trickle of blood with the point of his tongue in a way that made Dabi’s toes curl in his boots. “We’ll need to start meeting regularly to work on the plan anyway, so…tomorrow, at this time.”
Meaning he had already made a list and wanted to see what Dabi came up with. “Done.”
“Well.” Shigaraki cleared his throat lightly. “It’s settled then.” Carefully, he started to slide his leg over. Froze when a soft hiss escaped Dabi. A finger stroked one of the staples in his cheek before pulling back, remembering permission to do so hadn’t been agreed on yet.
“Did I hurt you? When we rolled over?”
Absolutely precious. Dabi smiled. “Not as much as I want you to.”
Red eyes blinked rapidly, wide and startled. “I’m…sorry?”
“Don’t be. Now go on. Let me up.”
Still looking a bit lost, Shigaraki did, sitting with his arms wrapped around his legs. Dabi sat upright on a long exhale. Paused to collect himself. Got to his feet when he was reasonably sure he wouldn’t ruin his last clean pair of pants doing so.
“You’re leaving?”
The note of disappointment in Shigaraki’s tone almost toppled his resolve. He looked over through lowered lashes. “I have something pressing to take care of at the moment. Unless you don’t want to wait for a list to find out what it is.”
One glance below Dabi’s belt transformed confusion into open-mouthed understanding. “Oh.” Shigaraki buried his face in his knees. “Sorry?”
“I already told you. Don’t be.” And before his willpower evaporated completely, “See you tomorrow.”
He’d made it to the door when a final thought sprung on him. Pausing with his fingers on the handle, he peered back over his shoulder. “You didn’t come up with this whole training camp plan just to score some alone time with me, did you?”
The choked sound that came from Shigaraki was answer enough. Dabi finally allowed himself to laugh as he let himself out.

Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Speka and this is my lovely little blog for various characters ranging from canons, to OCs affiliated with specific fandoms, to OCs unaffiliated with existing series but come from their own original series all together!
Please be aware that I DO NOT affiliate with many of the fandoms (anymore) on this blog that have characters that belong to them and DO NOT portray many of my canons as they should be from said series! Instead, I usually created my own version of said characters or just slightly alter them with a few things I prefer. These versions of said characters are strictly my own creation and therefore are different from the original source material. That being said, I welcome everyone equally with open arms and will always be down for any kind of interaction so long as I know the series or feel comfortable with the muns initiating contact! Affiliated with @s-talking, @nokrysalis, @vygiler, @angelatelier, @batbrides, @wizardshotel, @spookyxbabes, @anomieheld, @korosukoto, @instantcopycat

Note: Mun has extremely severe insomnia and thus often has spotty activity and response time. Often times she does not sleep for more than a few hours at a time, generally being unable to properly fall asleep and is always in a state of being half awake when actually sleeping (additionally is a naturally light sleeper). She has so much trouble sleeping to the point she can talk to people on the other side of the world (where it is now morning) and still not be able to sleep afterwards. Mun is always in a permanent state of exhaustion despite seeming upbeat. Please be patient.

Note
Hi can you write 13 and 21 please sry if I ask for too much :)
for context (x - make me write things!)
oh my gosh first of all please do not feel like u have to apologize i love any opportunity to write my fave ships and this was no different also i just need to say ur icon and header are amajiki and kiri two of the best Best Boyes on the entire show i literally love them and would die for them
anyway! thank u so much and i hope u enjoy and don’t mind that i put these as two separate lil prompts
13. “Look, I know you’re a hardass, but can you play with my hair? It would really help.” - hawks - [read on ao3] - this is loosely based on the idea of hawks having bird-like qualities, specifically raptor stress grip (x) but also the idea that he likes being preened
21. “This might sound selfish, but I don’t care about the world - I only care about you!” - villain!denki - [read on ao3] - go read this (x) first cause i feel like this suits a part 2
13 - [read on ao3]
Hawks’ grip on his arm is something unusual - not quite strong enough to be classed as painful, but strong nonetheless. Any harder and it might border on the feeling of his father dragging him around as a child, his hand so tight it threatened to snap his arm. But this falls short of that, and Dabi’s grateful.
He’d rather that anything associated with Hawks be positive, or at least not remind him of his past.
“You’re sure it’s fine?” Hawks asks for the twelfth time in the past ten minutes. Dabi huffs out a breath of laughter.
“Yes, it’s totally fine,” he reassures Hawks yet again. He’s only ever done this to Dabi once before, but it already feels strangely comforting to know that, in some way, he chose to seek out Dabi when he’d become overwhelmed.
It’s a stress thing - something to do with his quirk, Hawks told him - and Dabi wonders if he should really be appreciative of something that’s a source of unease for Hawks. Not that he knows what exactly happened, but he assumes if it were important, Hawks would’ve told him by now.
Maybe it’s selfish, but he kind of hopes Hawks continues to stay stressed out. Dabi’s not used to having him this close for however long it takes him to calm down, but he’s starting to enjoy the company.
Dabi watches patiently as Hawks’ gaze flicks around the empty room - Dabi’s room, where he’d been going through some profiles for other potential recruits before Hawks had burst in. The last time this had happened, it’d only lasted for maybe fifteen minutes, which means his time with Hawks is likely running out.
Although Hawks doesn’t look any less stressed than when he’d rushed in, not that Dabi’s complaining.
“You should, uh…” Hawks nods at Dabi’s papers. “I didn’t mean to take you away from whatever you were doing.” Dabi shakes his head.
“You didn’t interrupt, it can wait.” Dabi can wait, he could wait an eternity with Hawks clinging to him like this. Hawks’ fingers tighten on Dabi’s arm just slightly.
“No, that’s-” He shakes his head. “It’s really not helping, worrying that I’m keeping you from doing stuff.” Hawks’ voice is relatively even, but his eyes never stop wandering the room, and Dabi’s starting to wonder if this is going to last a bit longer than the first time. He crushes down the little spark in his chest that says he hopes it does.
Hawks is clearly still stressed, and Dabi shouldn’t be taking advantage of that. No matter how it makes him feel to have Hawks so close.
So he picks up a paper, the one he’d been looking at before Hawks barrelled in and plopped down beside him on his bed, and scans it superficially.
At first, it’s truly just with the intent of appeasing Hawks’ nerves and pretending he’s focused on his work instead of the warm grip of Hawks’ hands on his arm, but it soon becomes a genuine effort. He’s pretty sure he’s the only one in the League actively searching for potential new recruits, and he’ll be damned if this whole thing falls apart while Shigaraki is away. Not that he had officially dubbed Dabi his replacement, but Dabi’s pretty sure it was implied.
Besides, nobody else is really fit to take up the mantle.
So he loses himself in the various pages he’d printed - his eyes started hurting from staring too long at a computer screen - and searches with intent for the right qualities that might make another useful member of the team. Or pawn, depending on what they bring to the table.
With his eyes buried in endless pages, it takes him nearly an hour to realize Hawks’ head has slowly drifted to rest on his shoulder. In fact, it takes Hawks huffing out a breath that might be laughter for Dabi to notice this new position, and he has to reign in the sudden racing of his heart to prevent it from scaring Hawks away.
But his hands haven’t moved from their spot on Dabi’s arm, and Dabi lets his gaze drift to the tufts of hair tickling his neck.
“You really think that kid’s going to be of any use?” Hawks says, his tone light and humorous but more than obviously forced. Whatever’s going on in his head, his it’s clear that his concerns haven’t subsided. Dabi’s starting to wonder if he should be asking about what happened, why he’s so stressed all of a sudden.
“I think he has potential.” Dabi rearranges the pile of papers he’d just set this profile down on top of. “Why, you don’t?” He hadn’t said a word about what he was doing, but Hawks must live up to his name - he must have incredible observation skills to notice how Dabi has been organizing these people, to recognize which pile was for the ones he deemed useful.
“Your criteria are too superficial.” Hawks’ head shifts on Dabi’s shoulder, but he doesn’t lift it. “Powerful quirks, high-up connections, anger management issues? It’s too broad, they won’t hold together in the long run.” Now it’s Dabi’s turn to blow out a breath.
“For someone who got recruited by me, I feel like you’re not really in any position to judge,” Dabi says. He’s pretty sure his tone contained enough sarcasm to warrant a laugh, but Hawks’ hands just tighten on his arm.
As much as he’s enjoying Hawks’ company, he’s not sure it’s healthy for him to be on edge for this long. He shifts and picks up another paper, but he’s not really reading it.
“What do you normally do?” Dabi asks, trying to keep his voice soft. He was always terrified of his father’s yelling, to the point that even hearing him talk too loudly would kick his panic up a notch.
“What- what, for recruiting? I don’t really do that, I mean I guess I do for the agency, but not-”
“No, no,” Dabi interrupts Hawks’ rambling. He does his best not to smile at the reaction - Hawks is stressed, it’s not something he should be considering cute.
“When this happens,” Dabi gestures to his arm and Hawks’ hands clinging there, “what do you do?” Hawks exhales a breath and a soft ‘oh’.
“I don’t, um…” he trails off, and Dabi waits patiently, his silly hopes fluttering in his chest. He’s not usually one for hugs, but if Hawks is gearing up to ask for one, he might be willing to make an exception.
“I’m not usually around anyone I can trust.”
Now it’s Dabi’s turn to let out an equally soft ‘oh’. Hawks trusts him? Trusts him, of all people? A villain, someone who could set him on fire with a single touch? He trusts Dabi in spite of that?
“Okay…” Dabi fumbles for words in the silence, not daring to look over at where Hawks is still resting on his shoulder. He can’t tell if the air has suddenly become thicker, coating his tongue and throat and lungs and making it impossible to breathe, or if he’s just overreacting.
“Is it…normal for it to last this long?” Hawks trusts him, and he should trust that Hawks would say something if this was unusual, but it doesn’t stop his concerns from bubbling over and falling from his lips.
Hawks stiffens and clears his throat.
“Sorry, I didn’t- I didn’t think it would, I’d stop if I could, I just-”
“No, that’s not-” Dabi sighs. “Is…is there anything I can do to help?” He’s not trying to get Hawks to leave, but it’s clear this whole thing is only continuing to stress him out. Not that Dabi has any clue what got him to this state in the first place, but if he can help him calm down, maybe he can find out.
Hawks shifts beside him, and he sucks in a breath. Dabi expects he’ll release it along with a suggestion for how Dabi can help, but he just exhales. So Dabi waits a few more seconds, then a few more after that, until it’s most definitely been too long.
“Well?” Dabi tries again. Hawks sighs, and his hands tighten on Dabi’s arm. Dabi can’t imagine how on earth trying to calm him down would somehow stress him out more, but-
“Look, I know you’re a hardass…” Dabi freezes - is that what Hawks thinks of him? Hawks takes a deep breath, and his voice barely comes out above a whisper. “But can you play with my hair? It would…really help.”
Hawks goes still, totally and completely still, as if his own words have startled him, and Dabi stares hard at the paper in his hand. It’s all a blur of black and white, letters that don’t turn into words but mix around on the page and blend together into all shades of gray. Hawks wants…he wants Dabi to touch him?
Just his hair, just to help him calm down, Dabi reminds himself. This isn’t anything, it doesn’t mean anything. He tamps down on the voice in the back of his head that says Hawks trusts him. That doesn’t mean anything either.
With as much care as he can manage in spite of his sudden nerves, Dabi lifts his hand to the mess of hair on his shoulder. Hawks doesn’t move, doesn’t shout out a last minute ‘wait, stop!’, doesn’t pull himself away, and Dabi lets his fingers comb gently through the wild locks.
Hawks’ breath slows almost immediately, and Dabi wishes desperately that he could see Hawks’ face right now. Not that he needs much reassurance that this is truly helping Hawks - the grip on his arm loosens, and Hawks leans into his shoulder. A rustling sounds behind Dabi’s head, but it’s not til the expanse of a wing flops into view that he realizes Hawks must’ve let them droop to the bed.
Dabi holds his tongue, afraid to ruin whatever’s happening, afraid to set Hawks on edge again when he clearly needs to relax, but questions buzz inside his head and demand to make an appearance.
“That’s helping?” he asks first, and his lip curls up in an admittedly self-satisfied smile when Hawks nods into the crook of Dabi’s neck.
It’s soothing, both the repetitiveness of his hand in Hawks’ hair and the comforting warmth of Hawks leaning further and further into him, and the warmth spreads through his body and up to his brain, encasing it in a pleasant fog. He’s vaguely aware he’d wanted to ask something else, or maybe several somethings, but they’re lost behind a veil of comfort.
Before he can stop himself, Dabi leans back toward his pillow, gently pulling Hawks with him. His brain isn’t exactly capable of coherent thought right now, but he’d like to imagine it’d tell him what a great thing he’s doing, how this is definitely helping Hawks.
And he’s pretty sure he’d be right.
Hawks’s grip doesn’t release from his arm, but it’s loose enough now that he manages to comfortably curl himself against Dabi’s side, and his head lands on Dabi’s chest.
Dabi’s eyes drift shut of their own accord, and he doesn’t even bother with the excuse to himself that he’s just resting them. He’s warm and Hawks is here and everything else is drifting into the background so what else even matters?
“Thank you,” Hawks mumbles into his shirt, and Dabi’s chest feels like it’s exploding. But the pretty kind of explosion, like art. He feels like artwork, with Hawks pressed against him, like something far more than himself.
“Anything for you, little bird.”

21 - [read on ao3]
“You asshole!” Denki screams, and the wooden chair creaks as he struggles against the bindings. Hitoshi dips his head.
“We need to know what you know,” Aizawa says again. Denki coughs out a bitter laugh.
“I don’t know anything, I’ve never known anything, and there’s nothing you could do to me that would matter anyway.” His words cut like ice - he’d said that once before, before all this had happened.
“I swear I don’t know anything, can you tutor me, Shinsou?” And god, Hitoshi had fallen for it. Fallen for everything Denki said.
Fallen for Denki.
“I thought we were saving Kirishima!” Denki shouts again, and Hitoshi is grateful for the soundproofed room they’re in. Aizawa has some weird resources, but he supposes they’re useful.
“We did,” Hitoshi argues.
“And then you brainwashed me.” He’s never heard Denki like this, his tone so acidic it rivals Mina’s quirk. Hitoshi’s head hurts as it tries to reconcile everything - Denki’s betrayal with his prior kindness, Hitoshi’s own promises to never do something like that to a friend with the question of whether Denki ever was a friend.
Friends don’t betray friends.
“We need information,” Aizawa butts in, straightforward as ever. “There are lives on the line.”
“There are always lives on the line, why does it suddenly matter so damn much?” Hitoshi turns away - the Denki he knows would care, at least a little. He wanted to be a hero, what the hell happened?
“Man, I swear I have to get way better with my quirk or I’ll never be a real hero!” Hitoshi had laughed at that, at the idea that Denki would be anything other than exactly who he wanted to be. Hitoshi always found himself laughing around Denki.
“Why- why does it matter?” Aizawa’s clearly losing his patience. Hitoshi inhales a few deep breaths, trying to keep himself calm. But how the hell is he supposed to be calm when his best friend turned on him? On the entire school?
How was he so easily fooled?
“Shinsou, please, keep an eye on him,” Aizawa grumbles, brushing past Hitoshi and out the door. “I need a minute.”
Hitoshi doesn’t want to turn around. He doesn’t want to see those bright yellow eyes turned hard and brutal against him. He would rather remember the way his mouth opened a little too wide when he laughed, the way he hung around Hitoshi even when he didn’t think he wanted the company, the way he could quote Shakespeare word for word then turn around and ask Hitoshi if birds could see the same colors as people.
“You’re no better than I am,” Denki hisses at Hitoshi’s back, and the words creep up Hitoshi’s spine and worm their way into his ears. He wishes he could pull them out, throw them to the ground and squish them under his feet.
“You betrayed me, and I betrayed you, so we’re even now,” Hitoshi says to the wall. Denki coughs out a laugh.
“Perfect, you can let me out of here, then.”
“Not until you tell us who you’re working for, who your contacts are.” Maybe Hitoshi’s been spending too much time with Aizawa, but his mentor is right, there are lives at stake, and Denki might have the intel that could help save them.
“I don’t know,” Denki says again, “what the hell do I have to say to get you to believe me?”
“I did believe you,” Hitoshi says, though he wishes he hadn’t. His tongue refuses to stop now that it’s started, though, and all the damn emotions he’s been holding back come spilling from his lips.
“I believed you wanted to be a hero, I believed you wanted to help. I believed you were my friend.” He does turn around now, and he almost regrets it - Denki’s staring back, eyes wide and lips parted like he might be about to argue that point. Hitoshi wishes he would, wishes he would say something and make Hitoshi believe it.
But nothing comes out, only an aching silence that makes Hitoshi want to scream, but he doesn’t. He won’t lose himself in front of Denki, not when he’s taken everything else. No, Hitoshi can hold onto his anger. That’d been a gift from Denki, after all.
“I believed you loved classic literature and didn’t understand geometry and liked pranking the other students and wanted to control your quirk and I believed you cared.” Hitoshi’s out of breath now, but the lack of oxygen only fuels him. He lifts his voice modulator.
“I like you, Shinsou,” he says in Denki’s voice, and Denki’s eyes drop to the ground. Hitoshi lowers the modulator. “I believed it when you said that, too. And look where that got me.” His hand clenches in a fist at his side and tears prick at the back of his eyes.
“I could kill you right now,” Denki says, his voice so low that Hitoshi almost doesn’t hear him. As soon as he does, though, he wishes he hadn’t. “Electrocute you and Aizawa and find a way to get free once you’re dead.”
“Do it, then. What’s stopping you?” Hitoshi grits his teeth to keep his lip from trembling. Denki would kill them. Kill him.
“I don’t…want to.” He sounds so resigned, and Hitoshi blows out a shaky breath.
“That’s reassuring,” he says, hoping the dark humor will help dispel some of the ache in his chest. It doesn’t, but Denki laughs, a real laugh, and Hitoshi’s breath comes in a little easier this time.
Maybe, somewhere in the depths of his imagination, he can pretend Denki’s going to break down and tell them it was all a ruse, just a clever manipulation and he’s really one of the good guys, he really is a hero. And maybe there’s absolutely no reason Hitoshi could even begin to justify that hope inside his head, but it refuses to leave him alone.
“This was never…it was never about UA, or class 1A or Aizawa or any of them,” Denki says, and Hitoshi looks up to find him staring at his shoes. “It wasn’t even about you, not at first.” Hitoshi stops himself from interrupting - information, that’s what they need. That’s what he did this for, to save people. He can still be a hero, even if he couldn’t save-
No, he won’t give up on Denki yet. He can’t, it would break something inside him to do that.
“Why, then? Why all of this?” He waves a hand in Denki’s direction. Were we not enough to change you? Was I not enough? He can’t ask that, though. He can’t even begin to consider hearing Denki say that he wasn’t.
“I had to keep myself safe, keep my family safe,” Denki says to the floor. The chair creaks as he leans forward, his hair falling to block his face. “I thought…I thought I wouldn’t care.”
Hitoshi stills at the words. Did he care, then?
“I thought…it’d be easy to do whatever was asked of me - and no, I don’t know who it was, the whole thing was anonymous.” Denki’s staring hard at him now, but Hitoshi can’t come up with any words. “I didn’t think-” he pauses, then his gaze softens. “I wasn’t there to make friends.”
Hitoshi blows out a breath - the same thing he’d said to Denki from day one.
“Maybe you shouldn’t have.” He means it as a joke, almost. Almost, except for the gaping hole left in his chest after Denki’s betrayal. Almost, except for the memory of raucous laughter turning soft as Denki leaned closer to Hitoshi. Almost, except that Hitoshi had been willing to hand his heart over. Almost, except Denki had run away and left it broken.
“I thought I could protect you too,” Denki says, and he sounds almost as shattered as Hitoshi feels. “They said they’d keep you safe, and I believed them.” Hitoshi squeezes his eyes shut, desperately fighting back the wave of tears that threaten to overwhelm him.
It takes several moments too long, but he manages to shove them back down, and he takes a deep breath as he opens his eyes. Denki’s still staring at his feet, and Hitoshi wants nothing more than to lift his chin, to tell him things will turn out okay in the end. That he doesn’t need to worry, Hitoshi is a hero and he’ll keep Denki safe now.
But it’s Denki’s fault they’re in this mess. A real hero would see that, wouldn’t they?
“You put the entire world at risk to keep me safe?” He hopes his tone comes off angry - hell, he should’ve just switched on his modulator and flipped to Bakugou’s voice. That’d have done better than letting his own words betray how hurt he is right now.
Denki just blows out a breath of bitter laughter.
“I know this might sound selfish,” he shakes his head and lifts it just enough to catch Hitoshi’s eye, “unheroic, even, but I don’t care about the world.” Hitoshi clenches his jaw. “I only care about you, Hitoshi, I just wanted to keep you safe.” He shakes his head, leaning back in the chair. “You have no idea what’s coming.”
Hitoshi does his best to ignore everything Denki’s saying, everything that isn’t useful. Emotions aren’t useful, not right now.
“What’s coming, then? What do we need to protect ourselves from?” He takes a few steps closer, hoping it comes across as intimidating.
“I don’t know, they won’t tell me, but it’s big, Hitoshi…” He exhales a slow breath, and Hitoshi watches the line of his throat as he swallows. “I don’t know if we’ll make it.”
Hitoshi startles at the tears pooling in Denki’s eyes - he’s never been one to cry, as far as Hitoshi’s ever known, but that alone is enough to set his heart racing. Something big, something Denki’s not sure they’ll survive…
“We just gotta stick together and we’ll be fine!” Hitoshi says into his modulator, and it comes out as Denki’s voice - sure, they had just been training, it was just practice, there wasn’t a real threat like there is now, but those words had helped him then and maybe they can help Denki now.
Maybe he can still figure this out, maybe he can still bring Denki back to the right side. Maybe it’s not that Denki doesn’t care, but that he cared far too much. And maybe Hitoshi cares far too much, too.

Note
I know this is a really vague thing to ask, but do you have any tips for writing Shigaraki? I know Echodrops made a whole meta about fanon Shigaraki vs canon Shigaraki but do you personally have anything in particular you'd want to mention yourself about the portrayal of Shigaraki in fanfics?
(Here’s the link to @echodrops‘s post! It’s really, really good, and helped me figure out Shigaraki a lot in the first place. thank you!)
oooh! Not at all a vague thing, this is a great question. I started all this meta because I wanted to figure out how to write Shigaraki as well. A word of caution tho, because this would be my personal interpretation of Shigaraki, though I’ll try to use as much manga examples as I can. As always, super long post.
Note: images are edited to fit exact quotes to relevant and reasonable sized images, instead of a whole manga page
Here’s some hand man characteristics/traits that I think are overlooked:
Shigaraki Tomura, in his beliefs/values, has a tendency for all-or-nothing thinking, to be extreme in his actions. In all three of his incarnations - the oneshot Tenko, the draft Sazanka, and this current one - a core of the character is 1) finding something flawed/bad/had hurt him somehow 2) completely loathing it 3) vowing to destroy it.
Tenko despised samurai and their warring, and wishes to rid the world of swords. Sazanka is on a quest to kill quirk-users with quirks he deems too dangerous for society. And Shigaraki has decided that the Heroes and justice system is a farce, and is out to destroy it.
Kinda fitting for a guy with his quirk - he either doesn’t destroy something, or destroys it completely. The moment he makes his decision, it’s fast and permanent.
For Shigaraki, murder is murder, destruction is destruction, violence is violence, no matter how you dress it up. That’s why he couldn’t see the difference between him and Stain. That’s why he can’t see that Bakugou, as aggressive and vicious as he is, still wants to be a good guy.
Tumblr media
Now this is my take, but I think his mindset is: Because All Might can’t save everyone, he’s a fake, he’s trash; because everyone will say they condemn murder yet go about their lives carefree even though they know logically someone is out there getting killed, morality and justice is an illusion; because justice is so fragile and flimsy, I will expose it and destroy it.
Not in any goodwill or for a better society, mind you. He just hates it.
He also has no illusions about himself or his actions, he knows he’s evil.
Shigaraki is a lot more sarcastic and sardonic than usually portrayed in fanon. He’s very rude and can be foul mouthed, but the real insult comes from his tone and behavior. He condescendingly calls Eraserhead cool. He calls Stain the ‘Great Senpai of scoundrels’. He points out to Overhaul how a wakagashira/underboss like him should be more polite. Just about half of everything he says is dripping with mockery, and he’s very breezy and irreverent. So a bit less ‘I hate you, fuck off’, and more cheek.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adding to that, if I’m reading my Japanese right, Shigaraki can change how he addresses people depending on the person and situation. His default speech is rude, but he’ll talk somewhat (barely) politely-ish if needed; it’s just it’s very obvious he’s not taking it seriously.
Related, I feel like Shigaraki says a lot of things he doesn’t really believe. He tries out concepts, half-heartedly, on a whim. There’s that infamous speech at USJ about Heroes and Villains both using violence - which does seem to have some semblance to the actual ‘two sides of the same coin’ that even Best Jeanist talks about.
Tumblr media
And here’s him considering Stain’s effects on heroes, with gusto, before ditching it.
Tumblr media
I know it’s Smash!, but here’s him reciting some sort of pseudo education philosophy he picked up somewhere??? to Kurogiri to get out of exercise.
Tumblr media
He’s a total smartass
Of course, this brings up the question, is he genuine in his speech to Bakugou, or to Toga and Twice?
Tumblr media
Like Echodrop notes, he can be in a good mood. He can be (seem?) happy, he can smile, he will acknowledge when someone does a good job of something.
Sure, it’s got a manic edge to it, it’s probably not coming from a place of good, fluffy, innocent feelings, but he can laugh, enjoy the moment, be psyched about something.
Tumblr media
I really like this scene because he actually giggles a bit. He squeezes Midoriya, and he really does seem excited for a chat.
He’s quick to go back to being default cranky tho. Quick to enjoy, quick to get irked.
Shigaraki is a weirdo and I love him.
My boy is smart. Really, Shigaraki is smarter than he looks. In the Ultra Archive, his profile lists his intelligence as ‘A’, ranking him above most characters, including Midoriya. I get that Deku’s whole thing is being the strategizing main character, but Shigaraki’s just as analytical. Even the Smash! Comic points this out.

His room is filled with books, so either he reads a lot or he hoards them to look smart. I think it’s the former. Well, it’s not mutually exclusive, I should know.
He thinks and reflects and questions. He was super pissed about Stain, but he realized Stain was right and tried to figure out why. He went on a walk to calm down and just ruminate. He sought out Midoriya just to get second opinion. Afterwards, he quickly sees the bigger picture and realizes the issue is systemic and he’s gotta attack the structure. Of course, kinda shaky on the specific details and it’s not endgame long term, but still impressive.
Tumblr media
There’s a lot of Villain!Deku fanfics - and I like them a lot! - that turns Deku into the criminal mastermind or makes him the brains behind Shigaraki’s operations. Which is fair, Deku could totally be one! And also a lot of fics where Shigaraki is dismissed, with everything he does being AFO’s machinations. Again, fair. But Canon Shigaraki is AFO’s successor and leads the League for a reason.
This also means, I think, that Shigaraki isn’t as clueless to the fact that All For One is manipulating him. This point is entirely debatable, though. All I have to back this is how Shigaraki wondered if he was lied to in the USJ.
Tumblr media
Even tho he’s facepalm crusty boi neet, Shigaraki is still a very dangerous S-ranked villain. I feel like sometimes people forget this.
He’s not that childish. He can be immature, he’s still learning the ropes of being a supervillain, he’s got an irritable and sullen disposition, but he’s not a five-year-old. He’s also not completely unhinged.
Tumblr media
When things don’t go his way, his first response usually isn’t to shriek or whine or immediately snap. He’s got a clear head and a good sense of what he can and can’t do. Kurogiri is down, All Might escaped their grasp, but Nomu’s still active? Cool, we got this. It’s only when Nomu gets team-rocket-ed that he panics. Stain stabs him? Doesn’t start a fight right there and then, asks Master for some Nomu, is patient enough to wait until he decides he really can’t stand Stain, then finally gives the go ahead for a rampage.
Tumblr media
Shigaraki knew from the start he can’t handle All Might. That’s Nomu’s job. As much as he hates All Might, he doesn’t jump at the chance to kill the hero personally. He’s not ruled by impulse or easy distractions, not really. And he will back down if Kurogiri reasons with him - see accepting Stain as a party member, see letting Toga and Dabi live. And after he got his motivation, he’s been very restraint since.
Tumblr media
He doesn’t immediately destroy his things in anger - we only see him destroy only few items pre-mall talk. He decays binoculars, a photo of Deku, maybe a newspaper, all quiet and deliberate. Kurogiri’s bar is intact and clean, despite being the long-time hang out spot of the destructive Shigaraki Tomura. Would he decay a controller after losing a game? Maybe, but also just as likely maybe not.
Shigaraki will complain and bitch and sulk and hold a grudge, tho, yeah. He will lose it after a series of stressors/things gone wrong. He can be moody, cruel and sadistic, bloodthirsty and mayhem-loving. But he’s got himself under control more often than not.
Finally, video games: My biggest pet peeve about portrayal of Shigaraki in fanfics: He’s super obsessed with video games, to the point that he plays them all day long, and he can’t stop using video game slang for everything - or so a lot of the fandom believes.
I’ve pointed out before that we’re more likely to see him reading the newspaper and we’ve never actually seen him use a console ever in manga or anime. True, he likens scenarios to games frequently, but not all the time - the USJ fight was when he did that the most, then in his other appearances only once or twice during the whole scene (Doesn’t want Stain as a ‘party member’, none at all when meeting Dabi or Toga and then at the mall, camp arc has him seeing himself playing a Sim instead of an RPG, calls All Might ‘last boss’ during the raid, then nothing for his next appearances). At least not out loud. As fun as it is to imagine him as a geeky gamer, and he is, but he does more than just that.
I think Shigaraki uses video games and media to create mental scripts for himself to understand/interact with the world, but it serves as a skeleton. He fleshes it out, always adding to that mental model to create a more complex one. He calls his change of strategy as playing a Sim game, but it’s a good analogy that works for him, and we see how layered his plan is - dealing a blow to UA that works whether the Vanguard succeed or not, kidnapping Bakugou and Ragdoll, in order to bring about the media and public criticism of UA/heroes, and had it not been for the raid, something would’ve happen to Bakugou that would’ve demoralized everyone.
He def is grounded in reality enough to know what he’s doing is more than just a game.
And that’s all I got for now! There might be a part two. idk, but I hope this was helpful!
