i'm actually in disbelief. labour won the election for the first time since i hit double digits. lib dems also have a fuckton of seats. the tories have their worst election result on record, smashing the last one by 50 less seats and making another record by having four former pms lose their seats (last record was one, i think?).

genuinely just amazed that we've finally overthrown the tories. it's unbelievable.

also chesham and amersham kept the lib dem mp they elected in the 2021 by-election after having tory mps for literally the entire history of the constituency, despite a 20% boost in turnout (52% vs 72%). absolutely fantastic.
