speaking of things i have never written though: the rockstar au that is probably the most obvious modern verse you could come up with for jack ( seeing as he literally descends from rock royalty ), and occasionally i consider it or i consider branching off of his already established spice boys verse where he goes solo and hits it big later in life as a rockstar, but the thing that always stops me is that, in this scenario, this man's ego would skyrocket to a nonsensical degree. mariah would have nothing on this diva right here, i'm telling you

#&. don’t ever insult captain jack sparrow in front of me ( ooc. )#there'd be none of that 'staying humble' bs #jack isn't humble as a legendary pirate in his canon and he's not about to start now #you'd have to be a person of note to even Talk to him #(or at least that would be his public persona. again there is always nuance to jack's ego and how it works)#but it would be funny and also probably disastrous #spice boys level of fame is enough for him. probably already too much if we're being honest #and at least with the spice boys he always has killian around to keep him humble (ish)
