say what you will about the french language. and trust me i do. but their demonym lexicon is unreal
#compare 'néerlandais' to 'dutch'. compare 'parisian' to 'new yorker'. they got demonyms i can't even think of an english equivalent for#like for example my town's demonym / adjectival form of my town is 'lillois.e'#there isnt even an english equivalent and it doesnt' fit w our commonly used demonym structures so i literally can't translate it#(or i can but i have to use a phrase and it gets clunky)
