really exciting to see xff psychologically torment her annoying sister-in law from (she thinks) beyond the grave through the medium of a mean go opponent but also I feel a little bad...sry is a brat but she's clearly very young and has been spoiled by an indulgent and irresponsible mother, and it wasn't HER who tried to murder xff

#there's so many terrible women in this series. like her husband is such a tormented saint but his mother and sister are SO awful #jl's stepmother is her biggest opponent and her cousins are spoiled brats who stand in her way.#the women at zhennv hall are like. murderers #meanwhile her dead male relatives and her fake living ones are presented either very positively or as not actively malicious #besides xff and tong-er and lx and the gandma and like...that one old friend of her mom's #there aren't many women in the story on xff's side or presented very positively #on the one hand this is bc the men are simply more one-dimensionally written.#on the other it's bc a lot of the women are just presented as negative #su heng is objectively an awful person but he's often presented sympathetically #it just seems like a series that's hostile to women despite having a female protag idk #or maybe I'm just not used to having a lot of interesting and morally gray women about #the double lb
