The Minecraft movie........
I've been playing Minecraft for as long as I can remember. My brother and I would spend hours on Hypixel, our survival world, and building escape rooms for each other (the exit would no doubt be behind a painting). As a movie fanatic, a film about Minecraft sounds like such a fun concept with great potential yet from the look from the teaser trailer it seems like all that potential will remain unused.
Link to the trailer if you haven't seen it yet!
Plenty of people have already commented on how it looks, which let’s be frank, is terrible. This post, however, is not about the look but the story so here is a summary: The set design is quite nice except it does not look like any Minecraft biome. The people look extremely out of place, especially Steve who is supposed to be part of this world. Last but not least, there are moving, working windmills. Anyone who has played Minecraft will probably feel the same way about this, which is not happy. This is the main problem, the makers have maybe watched 1 Let’s Play. They don’t know the Minecraft experience. They haven’t played hardcore survival and felt the pain when you die because your elytra breaks, they have never gone mining at 2 am on a rainy night or have built a beautiful base they a proud of.
Which brings us to the soulless plot. For anyone unfamiliar, this is what Warner Bros. describes it as: “Four misfits—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison, Henry, Natalie and Dawn—find themselves struggling with ordinary problems when they are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld: a bizarre, cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination. To get back home, they’ll have to master this world (and protect it from evil things like Piglins and Zombies, too) while embarking on a magical quest with an unexpected, expert crafter, Steve. Together, their adventure will challenge all five to be bold and to reconnect with the qualities that make each of them uniquely creative…the very skills they need to thrive back in the real world.”
That made me throw up in my mouth a little. Minecraft is such a fun and unique game and this is what they come up with? Minecraft is a game about being creative and there are literally endless possibilities. This plot has nothing to do with the actual game and could be applied to any video game. Speaking of other games, it hasn’t escaped anyone’s notice that this is the exact plot of the movie Jumanji.
I’m secretly hoping they pull a Sonic and fix the movie at the last minute but I don’t think that is realistic. I don’t think all is lost though, Emma Myers (who plays Natalie) is, in my opinion, a great addition to the cast and is funny and talented. The rest of the cast isn’t much to write home about, unfortunately. As stated before, I do think the set has a cool look to it, it is just a shame that it doesn’t look like Minecraft.
Here is what I would do if I were in charge:
Firstly the whole cast is going. I would make it an animated film, Minecraft isn’t a realistic game and it doesn’t come across well in live-action. Steve and Alex would be the main characters.
The movie would have an entirely different plot and would either focus on Steve and Alex trying to defeat the Enderdragon for the first time, etc. (I think this is a bit basic but sometimes less is more)
Or it could be about the lore of the Enderdragon, Endermen, Ghasts, etc. and what happened to them and how they ended up where they are. There are so many theories about this online and it’s a side of that Minecraft hasn't been explored yet.
Another option could be about the villagers and pillagers. It would be cool to see more of their history and maybe Steve meddling to make peace or something in that direction. Think about how cool raids could be in movie form.
(see how I just thought of 3 way more original and fun plots off the top of my head when the writers couldn’t think of a singular one in months)-
A MUST for me is the classic Minecraft music. It should be in the trailer, in the movie, it should be everywhere. It is so nostalgic and everyone who has ever played Minecraft knows how iconic it is. (not saying it is not in the movie right now, I obviously haven’t seen it yet but wanted to include this point)
I think it could be cool if, for example, Steve would find a new biome or a new item and then we would get it in the game in an update. It would show a real connection between the movie and the game which is missing right now. (again not saying they won’t do this but I’m not getting my hopes up)
Besides all this, it would be amazing to see jokes and references to the actual game. Think forgetting to set your spawnpoint, inventory being full, etc.
And lastly, I NEED to see Minecraft YouTuber's references. I think they might do this, I’ve seen multiple YouTubers talk about the movie and I know Mumbo visited the set, so there is a possibility. Minecraft has one of the biggest YouTube communities, not referencing it would be a missed opportunity for sure.
I don’t think this movie will be especially bad, from the looks of it, it’s going to be a whole lot of meh. I do want to say that I have not seen the movie yet as it isn’t out yet, this means that a lot could still change (please please please). I will be in the cinema on April 4th with low expectations but high hopes, I have never wanted to be wrong more. Let me know what you think and thank you for reading all the way to the end <3
As always, this is MY opinion. Feel free to disagree but remember: It is a game about blocks, it's not that important (she says after ranting about it for like 2 hours lmao).

Peter Cushing: one of my favorite Sherlocks
I have often written on Baker Street Babble about some of the more recent portrayals of Holmes: Cumberbatch, Miller, and Downey. And I've spent some time indicating my admiration for Jeremy Brett's Holmes. However, on of my favorite actors to portray Sherlock Holmes was Peter Cushing, who had the distinction of playing the detective in three different decades: the 1950s, the 1960s, and the 1980s.
Cushing first played Holmes in the 1959 Hammer Films version of The Hound of the Baskervilles. Despite the film's somewhat sensationalist rendition of The Hound, I find it to be perhaps the best version I've seen. Cushing's Holmes is intense and dashing, with just the right kind of energy and humor for my taste. Reportedly, Cushing was very dedicated to his research of the character of Sherlock Holmes, and was very interested in the details: how Holmes smoked his pipe, how he did his hair, and how he stabbed his correspondence on the mantel with a jack-knife. The Watson to his Holmes in the film is played quite capably by Andre Morell, and we also get the wonderful Christopher Lee as Henry Baskerville. You can get a glimpse of Cushing's performances at the trailer below:
youtube
Almost a decade later, Cushing returned to the role of Sherlock Holmes, when he took over the part from Douglas Wilmer for the BBC's 1968 TV series, "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes." Wilmer had played Holmes in black-and-white in the 1965 incarnation of the series, with Nigel Stock as his Watson. The 1968 was taped in color, and retained Stock as Watson. The 1968 series was apparently quite popular at the time: Alan Barnes reports in Sherlock Holmes on Screen that The Sign of Four from the series garnered over 15.5 million viewers. Once again, Cushing's portrayal of Holmes is very much on point, and it's a pity that more episodes from the series haven't survived. According to Barnes, the BBC at the time had a policy of wiping tapes of programs that weren't considered significant enough to keep. Still, copies survive of A Study in Scarlet, The Hound of the Baskervilles, The Boscombe Valley Mystery, The Sign of Four, and The Blue Carbuncle.
Cushing's last hurrah as Sherlock Holmes occurred in 1984 in a made-for-TV film entitled The Masks of Death. By this time, Cushing was 71, and his Holmes no longer has the energy that made his earlier performances so enjoyable. The film works Irene Adler into the plot, though not as a love interest (Cushing was too elderly at this point to make such a plot credible). The film was the last in which Cushing would play a leading role. You can watch the film in its entirety on YouTube (I've embedded it below for your convenience).
youtube
Like many people of my generation, my first exposure to Peter Cushing as an actor was seeing him play Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars in 1977. Some of his performances as Sherlock Holmes in the films and TV programs mentioned above are abundant proof of how woefully underused Mr. Cushing had become at that point in his career. Do yourself a favor, and watch Peter Cushing play Conan Doyle's great detective. You won't be sorry.

Scream VI: A Review
Scream VI is a movie whose existence is questionable at best. After twenty-plus years of awful follow-ups, and a fifth movie that attempted and failed to recreate the magic of the original, a sixth Scream installment definitely makes the series feel as if it has outstayed its welcome. Watching this movie in theaters seemed to be a gamble, and waiting for it to hit streaming on Paramount Plus was the apprehensive next step... and I'm shocked to share with my readers that Scream VI has exceeded my expectations in almost every respect.
Pros:
This iteration of the Scream franchise has successfully helped me appreciate the new cast as an ensemble
High doses of adrenaline are injected into Scream VI. The setups of every death scene are incredibly creative and inspired, taking place in locations we've never seen before. Some of the best locales include a convenience store, a rooftop ladder, and a train station filled with costume-clad passengers
Easter eggs from previous installments are cleverly laced throughout the movie, and this film introduces diehard fans to one of the coolest ideas in the franchise: the Scream shrine
After almost two decades, we finally see what it's like to have beloved legacy character Gale survive a Ghostface attack
A sense of dread is established that, despite moving across the country, Ghostface will follow the main characters no matter where they go
Spoilers: Violence is elevated to levels we haven't seen since the first movie (characters are disembodied and half of one character's face is clipped off after a fall from several stories in the air)
The history of Ghostface is briefly discussed in a cool, detective-style layout
Hayden Panettiere returns to reprise her role as Kirby from Scream IV
The climax of this movie is much more exciting and cathartic than Scream V's
Neve Campbell is written out of this movie entirely and this spares the audience the torment of having to watch her be killed as Dewey was in the last film
Cons:
The twist regarding the killers' identities in the end is lame. I love the idea of incorporating three culprits into a Scream movie -- it's territory that has not been explored yet -- but none of the characters who are revealed as Ghostface have strong or memorable enough presences to make them believable murderers. Perhaps this is the idea, but it severely undercuts what is supposed to be a surprising moment for the viewers
At this point in the franchise, there have been literally three pairs of killers exposed throughout the Scream series. Despite this detail literally being spelled out in the narrative, the characters only suspect one person to be the perpetrator of every death in this film. At this point, the Core Four should be aware enough of their circumstances to be cautious of more than one suspect. This is an especially interesting note considering that Mindy, a substitute Randy character, is constantly explaining horror-related patterns and tropes
Yes, I am satisfied to know that Sidney is not put in danger in this movie, but she is one of my favorite characters and I still would have loved to see her return for this latest feature
The opening is relatively weak and introduces red-herring antagonists who are axed as easily as they are introduced
After 28 years, the Scream formula has become a bit tired. Perhaps this is just a trend that exists throughout the horror genre, but the tropes in the Scream series feel particularly monotonous. This is also odd when you consider how often the franchise mocks their counterparts for doing the same thing
Verdict: From a storytelling perspective, Scream VI is not as impressive as the original. It sometimes reads as an overblown piece of fanservice, but it is still a refreshing return-to-form, and lovingly pays homage to what made this series so popular. Scream VI has been the only franchise sequel to fill me with a warm sense of nostalgia, and reminded me of why I fell in love with these movies in the first place. It is a more-than-worthy follow-up to the first film and almost makes up for two decades worth of mostly-terrible sequels.

i love your review of elvis. i had previously kind of resisted seeing baz's films, just having the impression that they were going to be Too Much for me, but when i heard he was tackling an elvis film, i thought the energies seemed to fit, even though i didn't know much about either man. but if his other films have that same effect of worming under your skin, i need to watch them all. i saw elvis four times in theaters and haven't stopped thinking about it/elvis for a single day since, it's outrageous. i think it makes so much sense to have an outside narrator of elvis' story drive the film. austin shows us the dynamic complexity of elvis through his every movement, but the film and the colonel and the audience are still crying to cage him into that still-life image, inserting distance between us and him. i think the film is always thinking about whether that distance is necessary to actually "love" a person you don't know, but that is the same question that paralyzed elvis with fear. his deep sense of isolation was always fighting against his love for other people and his longing to be on the ground with them, but he sensed that he couldn't let anyone see how much he was struggling lest they pull away. i keep thinking about how the first lyric we hear is "oh, let our love survive," and the film is like ... how much are you going to suffer to keep it going? and who tricked you into thinking you didn't deserve to be loved without giving so much of yourself away? it definitely works as a reflection on hollywood and culture, but it becomes more deeply personal and compassionate toward elvis the more you know about him. <3
chelsea! first of all, i never did take a moment to say how glad i am to see you again and to have you here <333
baz's signature is doing The Most and giving softly dreamy to intensely spliced energy to The Aesthetic, but he somehow manages this in a way that ends up being emotionally affecting and clings to you after viewing. (i think his only film i haven't seen is Australia.) he has a very specific signature and style influenced by his passion for dance/music/fashion, and it's fun seeing how he decides to express that and utilize it as an essential aspect of the storytelling, plus catherine martin makes such beautiful costumes for everything that are illustrative of character and design in such a rich way. i definitely understand why you might have thought his films would be a lot! but since you did enjoy elvis, i wouldn't hesitate to encourage you to give his others a try! moulin rouge remains a particular nostalgic favorite to me (i used to have a moulin rouge poster on my door as a teenager, i still remember my dad buying it for me in the mall. it was one of thee movies for me in high-school. my ex-best friend and i used to blast the soundtrack on repeat, one time during lunch in the classroom we used to hide out in, he jumped on a table to reenact ewan mcgregor singing your song. when i was first very ill, it was a movie i put on a lot. i'm sure this reveals something about me spiritually lol).
something with baz's style that comes through is the incandescent power of music and its deep connection to us. music is always almost like its own character, and he plays with interjecting those anachronistic pieces to give the stories a modernist edge while still staying rooted in their own times, which is very interesting! i loved the strong mix of elvis' own music with the honor to the gospel/r&b/black artists who influenced and inspired him, further mixed with artists he himself inspired and who are creating work now. it made those threads so potent and alive. you're right that the energies match well.
you described this beautifully, i honestly think reading this helped me sort through some of my thoughts and put parts of the film into better context! we have that distance because we're constantly observing, as an audience even when we do feel that sense of love and admiration/appreciation for an artist, there's also a certain complicity because we can never actually know them, and we do inherently want something from them. we can never be undemanding of them as humans, it's that tension where we cherish the art, but we're also by necessity consumers of it. we can't help but be part of the pressure and the noise, even when we try our best to exercise that with empathy for a person. there is an uncrossable distance.
austin shows us the dynamic complexity of elvis through his every movement, but the film and the colonel and the audience are still crying to cage him into that still-life image !!! exactly, and that's what i was referring to a bit in how the idea of an everlasting image haunts me at times, because that can never be a fully realized acknowledgment of anyone. the indelible iconography of it all becomes so much bigger than life that if we want to find the humanistic reality again, it takes some excavation. that's fascinating and heartbreaking to me.
the predatory nature of that framing device gives a lingering sadness to it too, where we are put both into the perspective of our place as audience members, but we also become emotionally connected to the person elvis was and have that reaction of sorrow. i kept wishing desperately that i could protect him from all the things. the ending as well, when it confronts that concept of "love" between an artist and their fans, and how massive that is, how it's intoxicating and enriching, but can also be corrosive. it's difficult and it's moving and it's complicated to navigate.
i think the film is always thinking about whether that distance is necessary to actually "love" a person you don't know, but that is the same question that paralyzed elvis with fear. his deep sense of isolation was always fighting against his love for other people and his longing to be on the ground with them, but he sensed that he couldn't let anyone see how much he was struggling lest they pull away. yes, VERY much so. he tried so hard to conceal that hurt and those struggles because people depended on him, but also because he depended on them too and understandably feared the loss of that love.
the use of suspicious minds as the film's overarching theme was perfect. it totally reframed its meaning and made it speak to both his inner and outer life, to the weight of that fame and love and need.
the film is like ... how much are you going to suffer to keep it going? and who tricked you into thinking you didn't deserve to be loved without giving so much of yourself away? it definitely works as a reflection on hollywood and culture, but it becomes more deeply personal and compassionate toward elvis the more you know about him. absolutely. it's a big question and often sadly a universal one regarding culture and consumption, the expectations put on famous artists to give and give continuously without breaking or showing the cracks (which is impossible and harmful), the demands when such a bright spotlight becomes searing, the strain that comes even from adoration because it's not wholly real. it also subtly questions our fascination with that suffering without exploiting it for visceral shock value. i really appreciate the way the film handled the ending, for example, giving us enough without ever being cruel or relishing in the tragedy for the sake of it. the compassion there is so central.
i knew a bit about him personally, and was familiar with many of his biggest hits, just by virtue of cultural osmosis and the long-held interest i have in older films/music, but the film made me want to do deeper dives into the personal story and the deeper cuts of the music, and i'm loving exploring that, which makes it even more wonderful to be able to share with you! thank you for posting about him and the film because it's what sparked my interest even further to watch it! i've caught up on a lot of movies over the past couple of weeks, but i think elvis had the biggest impact on me, both in thinking about it and the expanse of its themes, and emotionally in feeling both for him and for the magic that exists in the way music keeps living forever. 💗
#joons#letterbox#this was such a joy to read thank you for sending it to me!#elvis#also not to expose sw*ftie brainrot but i keep thinking about the themes of elvis and dear reader#we're caught in a trap; i can't walk out; because i love you too much baby#if it feels like a trap you're already in one#you don't have to answer just 'cause they asked you#i wander through these nights; i prefer hiding in plain sight#my fourth drink in my hand; these desperate prayers of a cursed man#no one sees when you lose when you're playing solitaire#you should find another guiding light but i shine so bright#idk i could write a lot about this lol the thematic parallels hit me hard

I didn't have time to be proofread (but a big thank you to@petersasteria who is always there to support me!). Remember that my native language is French, so don't be so mean if i made mistakes!
Feel free to like, share, comment and tell me what you think. Send me a message if you want to be added to the taglist for my next work!
Word count: 2300 Warning: angst, mention of pregnancy, small mention of blood, mention of placental abruption Pairing : harry holland Request: yes!
ღღღ
You didn't expect to be pregnant with twins at your age. The announcement of your pregnancy had also surprised more than one. Despite her support, Nikki Holland had still given the discourse on the importance of safe sex to her son. But Harry had given a more than mature speech in defense of both of you. He was able to prove to his family and to yours that you were ready and that the decision to continue the pregnancy was not rash.
You were now at the half of your eighth month and nothing could stand in the way of your happiness.
Nothing except maybe this.
Nikki had offered to have lunch with her this afternoon. Despite his work as a photographer, no longer having the company of his four children - since three of them left the family cocoon to live their own life as grown-up adults- weighed heavily on her. You accepted with pleasure. Harry, who was editing his third short film, had left you this morning to go to the edit suite, not without checking that you were okay. So, you joined Nikki at the restaurant. You shine in your long floral maternity dress. In the middle of the meal, you felt a violent contraction.
At almost eight months pregnant, it was no surprise that you could feel twins’ movements. You winced a little at the pain and your mother-in-law put a reassuring hand on your arm.
"Are you alright, darling?" she asking, a little bit worried.
"Yeah, yeah. They've just been in great shape for a few days now."
You apologized and went to the bathroom, struggling to cope with the pain of your contractions. When you noticed that your underwear was soaked with blood, your heart rate increased. You suddenly realized that a series of symptoms corresponded to what you had dreaded early in your pregnancy: the nausea that had occurred last night, the violent contractions since this morning and now the blood. Rather alerting signals that suggested a placental abruption. The obstetrician told you that this was a possible risk since you were having a twin pregnancy. You started to cry and panic for several minutes that Nikki ended up knocking on the bathroom door.
"Darling, is everything good in there?" she asked you with her sweet and worried voice.
"Could you come in please" you sobbed.
"Sure, darling. Are you sure you're feeling okay?"
She stepped carefully into the disabled cabin that you had used for space reasons. Nikki immediately noticed your state of stress. And you just told her everything in strangled sobs. She put a hand behind your back and gave you a very serious look.
"We have to go to the ER. We're going right away."
"I want Harry"
"Don't worry, I'll call him on the way"
And you haven't wasted a minute. Nikki simply left her phone number and table number at the counter before you got into your car. Dom will retrieve Nikki one's later. Holland family been known from the restaurant, the staff were comprehensive about your leaving without paid the bill. When you arrived at the hospital, the nurses greeted you directly and wasted no time either. You were taken to the operating room without being able to get your boyfriend's support.
☙♥❧
Harry arrived within fifteen minutes of receiving the call from his mother. No doubt he would receive a speeding penalty ticket later. He looked like a madman, mortified by worry. He was a bundle of nerves and sarcasm. Her mother was standing by the reception desk, waiting for her. She looked anxious. Tom was there too, trying to contact their father on his phone. When Dom finally picked up, the oldest Holland brother announced the urgency. Harry was shaking with worry.
"What happened mom?"
"I don't really know, baby. We were at the restaurant and the babies kicked. She went to the bathroom and when she didn't come back, I went after her. That's where she asked me to come into the bathroom and you know the rest. I called you straight after that. " Nikki explained, trying to get the stress out of her.
"Oh my god… where is she now?"
"The medical staff took her for surgery. I had to wait here. I couldn't go with her, baby. I’m so sorry."
"Ok ... Ok, I guess I have to wait here. Hope she's okay. God, please make her be alright."
They all made their way to the operating theater hallway for the public to wait for more information. Tom was still on the phone with his father, explaining that it would be better if he stayed at home with Paddy so as not to overcrowd the waiting room. He promised his father that they would all give news as soon as possible. A nurse in a surgical gown entered ten minutes later.
“Who's the father of miss y/l/n's babies?”
“I am. Harry Holland, I’m the father!” he almost screamed and cried at the same time.
“Come with me”
Nikki stood up cautiously and walked over to the nurse. Harry was ready to follow the nurse without giving any further information to his family.
"Excuse me. Can you give us more information on her condition?" Nikki asked
"Sure. We had an emergency caesarean. The babies are fine but there seem to be some complications with the mother. The surgeon is taking care of her."
"Is she going to be okay?" Harry asked hastily.
"She's losing a lot of blood but we're doing our best. Now please follow me." She said to curly one.
☙♥❧
Harry followed her to the nursery. His heart was pounding in mixed emotions. He was so impatient to meet his babies but at the same time he was worried about you. What if you don't survive from the complications? What was to become of him? Would he be able to live without you? Would he be a good father?
His last question vanished when he saw his two little babies in the incubator. Your twins had arrived about fifteen, almost a month earlier than expected, it was normal that they were in an incubator. Harry was going to have to make sure they put on weight. After filling out a few papers, one of the nurses offered to do some skin-to-skin contact with the twins so that they could get to know the three of them. Harry could not but be impatient with this and once prepared he settled into a seat. He was overcome with emotion, understanding how his parents had felt when Sam and him were born. He completely forgets the time, spending several minutes with his sons, one after the other. Harry knew he would place all his love in the two little beings he had taken turns holding in his arms. He was ready to lift mountains, cross the tides. Part of his mind was on you and he truly hoped he could go through life's trials with you. May your family experience all the times they deserve.
The nurse who had brought him to the nursery go up to him with a half-smile. She was sorry to disturb him during this privileged father-son moment.
"Your ... hm ... miss (y/l/n) is in the recovery room. You can go see her now"
Harry's heart burst with relief. He let out a sigh he didn't know he was holding back. The very new father nodded before placing his son in the nurse's arms so that she could put him back in the incubator. He decided to go find his family who had been waiting too long now. When he entered the waiting room, his mother and brother were still seated. Tom had his elbows on his knees, the phone in his hand. He seemed to be talking to someone. When the actor noticed his brother's presence, he spoke to him.
"Hey mate, Sam's here. Wanna talk to him? What's up? Does y/n's alright? And the twins?"
"Too much question. Give me Sam first!"
But the result was exactly the same. Sam asked the same questions as Tom and Harry winced as he tried to answer consensually.
"Hello to you too, brother. The twins are fine. I swear to God Sam, they look like a mini version of us. Two sons by the way ... y/n is fine, she's in the recovery room, I'm going see her right after that. I wanted to talk to mom and Tom first. "
"Glad to know I'm the last to know." Sam informed sarcastically.
"Hey, I was going to call you but I had to, you know ... go meet my sons. Father's job, it seems."
Sam chuckled behind his phone screen as Harry smirked in a mischievous and petty manner. He ended the call with his twin and turned to his mother and Tom. Nikki made her understand that she had heard, she seemed relieved that you were okay.
"Hey, before I go see y/n ... you want to see your grandsons ... and you, your nephew and godson, asshole."
"Harry, language" said Nikki.
"Of course I want to see my godson, stupid"
"Tom!"
The two brothers smile at each other. Just because one became a father and the other was a movie star, didn't mean they were going to change their ways. It was also their way, both of them, to decompress events. Nikki sighed in annoyance but kept quiet, too happy to meet, even only through a window, her first grandchildren. After a brief walk in front of the nursery, Harry announced that he was going to find you, leaving his family to admire your twins. They seemed so impatient to meet them in person but knew they were going to have to wait while you woke up.
☙♥❧
Harry entered the recovery room and walked over to your bed. You seemed to have already woken up from your artificial sleep. He grabbed your hand to give you the support you needed. A feeling of emptiness was felt in you, your gaze landed on your stomach, flatter than you had seen in recent months. Your eyes widened in panic but the reassuring pressure of Harry's hand drew your attention to him.
"They are fine, my love. They are fine. They are in an incubator in the nursery."
You burst into tears. The emotions being so strong.
"I'm so sorry Harry. I'm sorry ..."
“Hey… hey… you don't have to. You're okay… the twins are okay. And I still love you, I love you more than ever."
"Have you seen them?"
"Yes ... ugly like their father" he joked
You chuckled with a few more tears in your voice. You knew he didn't mean it, but humor was Harry's best way to decompress, and it worked on you too.
"My family is here. You scared the hell out of them. I think Sam was about to order a flight to kick your ass."
You chuckled again. It was so impressive to see the love that reigned in this family. You could never have asked for a better way to build your own family. Harry leaned over to kiss you.
"I love you, y/n. You are my world. you three are my world now"
"I love you more, Harry."
You stayed a few more days before you could get out of the hospital. You had decided to introduce the twins after their own discharge from the hospital. That's why, after almost a month of going back and forth to the nursery, you could finally bring your twins home. So you organized a little visit to Harry's parents.
☙♥❧
The sun was shining on London and you squeezed the doorknob of one of the maxi-cozy, Harry carrying your second son as you opened the door to the Holland family home. You were amazed at the ease with which Harry assumed his role as father. He was doing so well that you fell in love with him again.
"Is there anyone here?" He asked
"We're all in the garden, buddy!" Tom said
"You are obviously in the kitchen, dummy"
"For god's sake, Harry. Come into this fucking garden and let us see the twins!"
You let out a frank laugh as you mentally noted that you were going to have to have a conversation with Harry and his brothers about the vocabulary they were using.
You are therefore entering the garden. You noticed right away that Sam had come all the way from Scotland. Harry must have organized this with him too. You smiled, Nikki rushed over to help you with the change bags and you thanked him.
"So where is my godson?" Tom asked in the same way he did at the FFH premiere when he was looking for Jake Gyllenhal.
"Where's mine?" Sam asked too.
You approached Sam, putting the maxycosy on the table to unbuckle the seat belt and take your son in your arms. Harry was doing the same with your second baby.
"I'm happy to introduce you y/s/n"
"And there's y/s/n(2)." Harry added, so proud.
Everyone raved about the twins as you wipe away a tear, happy and proud. You were so moved by the love that reigned. Harry came to kiss you on the forehead, you closed your eyes, appeased by his gesture. The world could only turn better in his company.
"It's family portrait time!" Nikki said, her camera in her hands. "Tom, please get closer to your brother. Sam, stand next to y / n"
You all followed Nikki's instructions, who couldn't be more than happy to capture this important moment, bringing her work and family life together. You all smiled as you and Harry were in the center of the photo, carrying your twins in your arms. And at that moment, you were sure that your life could not be more beautiful than at this moment.

My Top 10 Favourite Horrors
Within this top 10 list, some will include the prequels, sequels and any other follow ups as 1 ranking number. Some may be considered thriller, sci-fi, suspence etc, however, I do regard these as horrors myself.
I have take many aspects into account, such as videography, actor quality, SFX makeup quality, soundtrack, directors, CGI etc.
Note : this is my personal opinion. You do not have to agree with it, though if you haven't seen these, I highly reccomend them.

╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
1. The Conjuring
(1 & 2)
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
The Conjuring 1 :
The Perron family moves into a farmhouse where they experience paranormal phenomena. They consult demonologists, Ed and Lorraine Warren, to help them get rid of the evil entity haunting them.
The Conjuring Trailer :
youtube
The Conjuring 2 :
Peggy, a single mother of four children, seeks the help of occult investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren when she and her children witness strange, paranormal events in their house
The Conjuring 2 Trailer :
youtube
My Opinion :
The Conjuring was the start of an incredible series of horrors that beat any other horror to the ground. It is absolutely fantastic and I basically worship these films. James Wan is my favourite director and he never ceases to amaze me.
Paranormal horror is my favourite and as someone who actually believes in the paranormal and who has had paranormal experiences, I can confirm that The Conjuring is much more realistic than any other paranormal films, which just makes it extra spooky.
The actors, camera angles, music, sfx makeup and storyline is just - chefs kiss -. I've been waiting for the 3rd one for so long, but they keep extending the release date. (R. I. P)

2. Annabelle
(all of them)
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
Annabelle :
John and Mia Form are attacked by a Satan worshipping couple, who uses their doll as a conduit to make their life miserable. This unleashes a string of paranormal events in the Forms' residence.
Annabelle Trailer :

Annabelle Creation :
Samuel and Elle embed their daughter's spirit into a doll, only to realise it is a demon. Years later, they open their home to a nun and six orphan girls, one of whom finds the doll.

Annabelle Comes Home :
Judy and her babysitter are left alone in her house after her parents leave to investigate a case. However, an unexpected guest sets Annabelle free, unleashing demonic activity in the house.
Annabelle Comes Home Trailer :

My Opinion :
Another great film series that was birthed form The Conjuring. Definitely less realistic, with many more jumpscares and spooky characters, which is appreciated in the horror world. Many people find dolls far more creepy than ghosts, myself included, so that's another perfect aspect that adds to the suspense.
I prefer Annabelle 3 over the others, mainly because I found that one to be more scary overall, even though Daniela is an idiot and she makes me so frustrated 😂

╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
3. Saw
(all of them)
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
For the totally unindoctrinated, the Saw movie franchise revolves around the Jigsaw Killer (a.k.a. John Kramer), who tortures victims he believes are complacent or guilty, in order to make them appreciate their time on Earth.
All Saw Trailers :
youtube
Obviously I'm not going to list every Saw movie, because there are 7 (Jigsaw aka number 8, does NOT count. It is a disgrace).
My Opinion :
A classic for horror and gore lovers of all kinds. Of course I need to list this as number 3. I simply adore these movies. I even have the DVD set, so I am definitely a long term fan haha.
The obstacles and creativity regarding Saw as a whole needed a lot of thought put into it, plus it has a happy little side note of "make sure you don't cause harm to others in life and don't take anything for granted" which some may have not even noticed while being overwhelmed by the amount of fake blood.
Yes, a lot of characters are annoying, but that just makes us enjoy seeing them tortured even more (shh it's not real). Some of the blood doesn't look very realistic, the sfx can lack attention, BUT... It's still great and I can overlook these few flaws to appreciate the movies to the max.
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
⦁
⦁

╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
4. Blair Witch
(2016)
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
╔════════ ⦁💀 ⦁ ════════╗
A young man and his friends venture into the Black Hills Forest in Maryland to uncover the mystery surrounding his missing sister. Many believe her disappearance 17 years earlier is connected to the legend of the Blair Witch.
At first the group is hopeful, especially when two locals act as guides through the dark and winding woods. As the night wears on, a visit from a menacing presence soon makes them realize that the legend is all too real, and more sinister than they could have ever imagined.
Blair Witch Trailer :
youtube
My Opinion :
I love the camerawork. Not because it's perfect, because it's the opposite. It's a documentary style and this makes it feel more realistic, as if you are within the film yourself. I enjoy how they skip to the action at just the right time after a mild buildup.
The visuals are great as well and there were definitely some parts where I was disgusted and claustrophobic, which is good to experience while enjoying these types of films.
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
⦁
⦁
⦁
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
5. Under The Skin
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
Disguising itself as a human female, an extraterrestrial drives around Scotland attempting to lure unsuspecting men into her van. Once there, she seduces and sends them into another dimension where they are nothing more than meat.
Under The Skin Trailer :
youtube
My Opinion :
I would classify this as horror, but many won't. Either way, this is an amazingly artistic film with beautiful imagery and silent awe. It definitely makes you feel the suspense in a calming manner and it has some really dark moments. Without reading the description, one might be confused as to what is going on, but how art is supposed to be interpretated is by the imagination of individuals.
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
⦁
⦁
⦁
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
6. Veronica
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
During a solar eclipse, young Verónica and her friends want to summon the spirit of Verónica's father using an Ouija board. However, during the session she loses consciousness and soon it becomes clear that evil demons have arrived.
Veronica Trailer :
youtube
My Opinion :
A Spanish masterpiece, to put it simply. It's hard to find proper horrors like this in English. I really enjoyed this one and I watched it subbed not dubbed, because I feel like voiceovers tend to ruin the art of the original film. The buildup is perfect and unlike many horrors, it barely shows you the face of the "monster". That leaves it to the imagination, which in general makes it far more scary.
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
⦁
⦁
⦁
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
7. Underwater
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
Disaster strikes more than six miles below the ocean surface when water crashes through the walls of a drilling station. Led by their captain, the survivors realize that their only hope is to walk across the sea floor to reach the main part of the facility. But they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when they come under attack from mysterious and deadly creatures that no one has ever seen.
Underwater Trailer :
youtube
My Opinion :
This movie was released quite recently and I didn't know what to expect. I was definitely blown away by how good it was. Being trapped underwater gives most people a sense of anxiety. Add being trapped underwater and being hunted by creepy sea monsters and you've got yourself a good horror. Kristen Stewarts general anxious personality definitely suits this film well.
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
⦁
⦁
⦁
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
8. Split
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
Kevin, who is suffering from dissociative identity disorder and has 23 alter egos, kidnaps three teenagers. They must figure out his friendly personas before he unleashes his 24th personality.
Split Trailer :
https://youtu.be/84TouqfIsiI
My Opinion :
An incredible film with phenomenal acting on the part of James McAvoy. You can get lost within his character and almost feel as if you are the character itself. Suspense is built up slowly and the climax of the film is released rapidly. People I know who do not enjoy horror, love this film themselves, which is saying something. It's definitely one of the best modern films that draws you in from the start.
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
⦁
⦁
⦁
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
9. A Quiet Place
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
A family struggles for survival in a world where most humans have been killed by blind but noise-sensitive creatures. They are forced to communicate in sign language to keep the creatures at bay.
A Quiet Place Trailer :
https://youtu.be/WR7cc5t7tv8
My Opinion :
As you can tell by now, I love anything alien related. This film has some of the most amazing looking aliens I've seen, I was honestly in awe by how great they looked. Another silent film, but in a different sense to the previous one. Instead of being the hunter, this family is being hunted and this adds more to the fear factor.
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
⦁
⦁
⦁
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
10. Unfriended - Dark Web
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝
╔════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╗
When a teen finds a laptop with a cache of hidden files, he and his friend discover that the previous owner has access to the dark web and is watching over them.
Unfriended - Dark Web Trailer :
https://youtu.be/XenTM_C9fxM
My Opinion :
A modern take on horror. Involving the actual dangers of the dark web and the use of technology and turning it into a horror was a magnificent idea. It definitely had me at the edge of my seat.
Due to another film type that is not often explored (thus being that most of the movie is equal to what it would be like to look at your computer and video chat), it makes it different and therefore more compelling than the usual videography styles.
╚════════ ⦁💀⦁ ════════╝

Thank you for reading, if you've made it this far! Feel free to share your top 10 in the comment section, I am definitely interested in your opinions and finding new movies to watch myself. Any questions are also welcome.
Until next time, take care and stay spooky!

Starry-Eyed Smile | Chapter 2
⭐ Summary: You practically grew up with Youngjo, attached at the hip, two peas in a pod. You did everything together. At some point, both of your feelings became more than platonic, and you both knew it. Everyone knew it. But neither of you have had the courage to do anything about it.

⭐ Pairing: Reader X Kim Youngjo (Ravn) / Characters: GenderNeural!Reader; Kim Youngjo (Ravn); Lee Seoho (Seoho); Kim Geonhak (Leedo); Lee Keonhee (Keonhee); Yeo Hwanwoong (Hwanwoong); Son Dongju (Xion);
⭐ Rated: E / Warnings: I talk too much about Youngjo’s smile / Genre: Fluff; BestFriends-To-Lovers; Angst; Love Triangle if you squint; Happy Ending;
《 Series Masterlist // ONEUS Masterlist // Boy Group Masterlist 》
You had texted Seoho that your work ends on Friday, and in response he sent you the address of where you would be able to find them for filming today. He had told you they'd probably be filming for hours after your work ended, so you didn't need to rush too much. Still, throughout the entire day, you keep your eye on the clock. You watch the hours tick by, wishing that the seconds would fly faster.
As the clock finally ticks to 4 o'clock, you stand up abruptly from your chair and grab your bag. You make your way out the door with everyone else who is done with work, phone in hand as you head home to change out of your stuffy work clothes and into something more casual and comfortable.
You watch the boys dance in the middle of the room, which is lit up by natural sunlight from above as well as artificial light. The pillars on all ends support several floors, which all circle around the members, all dressed in white which seems to glow in the sun. None of the boys look at you, focused on their choreography. They move so elegantly, it's mesmerizing. They look so ethereal and gentle, but at the same time they dance with so much power it's intimidating.
The music plays loudly from a speaker. You recognize it from when Youngjo showed you it the other day. The title track. This is the first time you're hearing it all the way through, though it's not clearly. The ONEUS director occasionally shouts directions, and there's the constant sound of machinery whirring around. The camera people run the camera around to get a good shot. The other staff members are chatting. Hair and makeup waiting to be needed. You've attended other music video shootings for ONEUS, as one of Youngjo's closest friends. You were present during the Valkyrie and Twilight music video shootings. But still, you're fascinated by the amount of work put into a four minute YouTube video.
The boys finish and take a break for water, hair and make-up.
"Y/Nie is here!" Keonhee yells, walking over to you. You catch Youngjo smiling fondly at you over Keonhee's shoulder.
"Hi Keonhee," you say.
"It's been too long," Keonhee says, pouting. "I haven't seen you in maybe three weeks. I could barely survive it, I'm surprised Youngjo managed to survive that long."
"We actually video called every few days and--" You pause and frown at him. "What do you mean by that?"
"You two are practically stuck together normally," Keonhee says. "I swear you two are soulmates."
"Keonhee," you hiss, smacking him. He laughs, and you look around. Youngjo is off to the side, talking to Geonhak and Hwanwoong. Seoho and Dongju are leaning against a pillar, farther away talking. You face Keonhee again.
"Everyone knows that you two like each other," he whispers. "Or at least suspects it. It's kind of obvious. "
"Yes, but we aren't together so shut up about it," you say, smacking his shoulder. Just then, you look up and Youngjo is walking over. You smile.
"You didn't tell me you were coming," he says, hugging you.
"Yeah. Seoho invited me."
"Oh, he did?" He smiles, nodding and glancing over at Seoho. "When?"
"When I came over the other day," you say. "As I was leaving to throw away the garbage, I stopped by to say bye and he came to say bye. He came with ms to throw away the trash."
"Oh," he says, frowning a bit. He shakes his head and smiles. "So, uh, what do you think?" he asks, looking back at you.
"I like it. The song is awesome. The video is going to be beautiful," you say, looking around you at the building, the decorations for the music video. Even the costumes that the members are wearing are gorgeous.
"Yesterday we had indoor filming," Youngjo continues. "We have a dark versus light concept that I hope will show well in the music video."
"It will."
You walk over to where the other members are chatting, some of them--Hwanwoong and Dongju--getting their hair and makeup touched up by the stylists.
"Y/Nie came!" Seoho says cheerfully, running to hug you. As he pulls away from the hug, Youngjo inserts himself between you and Seoho, eyeing Seoho suspiciously. You pretend not to notice.
"Looks great," you say, nodding your head to where they were dancing minutes ago. "Love the choreo, too. The song sounds amazing, I'm so excited to get myself a copy of the album."
"No, no," Hwanwoong says, shaking his head. His stylist sighs, and he stills again. "Y/Nie, we'll get you the album as a gift."
"You don't have to."
"You're our friend!" Hwanwoong insists. "We're getting you a copy. Maybe you'll get Ravn's photocard."
You catch Youngjo glaring at Hwanwoong out of the corner of your eye, but decide to ignore it. You're used to the teasing you receive from all of the ONEUS members. As Keonhee had said, everyone knows that you two both see each other as more than friends. But neither you nor Youngjo have had the guts to do anything about it.
"Y/N," Seoho says. "Did you see the ending of the choreo? The killing part? Do we look cool?"
"You guys looked so cool," you say, nodding. "You guys look so elegant and powerful. And the ending, you guys look so cool."
"Do you like the song?" Geonhak asks.
"I absolutely love it, Geonhak. Youngjo showed me a bit of it the other day but hearing it all now, it's more amazing than I thought!"
"Of course Youngjo showed you," Geonhak says, chuckling.
"What was that?" Youngjo asks, his tone scolding. Geonhak shakes his head, smiling innocently.
"Nothing!"
They continue filming, redoing the choreo one more time in the center of the building, then move to film in the woods outside. As the sun begins to set, they film the choreo one more time before the end of the day, while the sun is at just the right place in the sky. You watch from behind the camera. You sigh, knowing that though the music video will be amazing, the camera will never capture the true beauty of the scene.
"You don't have to cook for us," Youngjo says as he sets the table. Nearby, you're helping Geonhak cook bulgogi. Everyone seemed tired after filming, though they tried to hide it from you. You insisted on cooking, or at least helping Geonhak cook.
"Seriously, you six must be exhausted from filming for two days," you say. "So much work all day. Anyway, we're all done!"
The seven of you eat together at the table, chatting about things other than the comeback.
"You should have been there to see what Dongju did yesterday," Geonhak says to you. "We went out, Dongju, Hwanwoong and I, to get bubble tea and snacks. Dongju said he was going to pay, but then said he forgot his wallet at home. Turns out he did it on purpose."
"Hey!" Dongju yells. "I never said I did it on purpose!"
"Oh? Then what happened?"
"I realized as we were leaving that I forgot my wallet. But I didn't say anything," Dongju says, laughing. "I knew it even when I said I'd buy it myself, and I pretended to be surprised so you would buy me snacks and bubble tea."
"These kids," Youngjo says with a chuckle.
After everyone has finished eating and chatting, you gather all of the dishes to wash. Youngjo joins you despite your insisting that he should rest.
"Seriously, Youngjo, you should rest. You worked all day today and you have practice tomorrow."
"Y/Nie, I'm not a kid," he says. "Let me help you wash the dishes."
"Ach, look at them," Keonhee's voice says from behind. "They're so cute like a married couple."
"Get married already!" Hwanwoong yells from the table. Both you and Youngjo turn around at the same time to glare at them. They duck their heads in shame, and you and Youngjo look back at the dishes you're washing. Then you hear a whisper.
"They glared at the same time. They really are destined to be together," Keonhee whispers loudly, clearly intending for Youngjo to hear.
"Yah!" Youngjo runs at him, leaving you at the sink alone as he chases Keonhee around the dorm, yelling, while the other four members laugh at them.
You smile softy. Their childishness is endearingly adorable. They're so serious and focused during work, like when they were filming earlier today. But they are still adorable goofballs.
You watch as Youngjo finally catches Keonhee and holds him still, arms wrapped around him tightly as he squirms. His smile is wide, so he obviously finds this teasing fun, and your heart melts the way it does every time he smiles.
Growing up with him was a gift, and he's very much the same as he used to be. He's always been both hardworking and silly, even when you were kids. No wonder you started liking him more than a friend. With a heart made of gold and a smile brighter than the sun, how could you not fall in love with him?
It's obvious he feels similarly about you. The other members have pointed out to you how much Youngjo loves spending time with just you. How much just your presence makes him smile. Even you notice that he treats you differently than his other friends.
And he knows you like him.
But he doesn't know how much you like him. How just his smile can brighten your darker days. He doesn't know how much you value your relationship, how just spending the day with him makes you happy. You wonder if he has ever caught you staring at him, gushing over his smile or his laugh. You wonder if he's ever caught you humming one of his songs, singing and smiling at his parts, admiring his rapping or singing.
You if he feels the same way about you. If he latches onto your habits and traits the way you've fallen in love with the little things he does.
Your gaze drifts over to Seoho, who is sitting silently at the table with Hwanwoong, smiles at you. You smile back and continue washing the plate in your hand. After a minute, Youngjo returns to your side to help.
"Those kids," he says with a chuckle and a shake of his head.
The two of you finish washing and drying the last few dishes, and you look out the window. The sky outside is dark. It's later than you'd expected to be here.
"Y/Nah," Seoho says. He's moved to the couch, which is now crowded with him, Geonhak--who has Dongju sitting on his lap--Hwanwoong and Keonhee. Youngjo has just gone to the restroom.
"Did you enjoy seeing us film today?" Seoho asks.
"Of course they'll say yes," Geonhak says, not looking up from his phone. "Y/N says yes every time you ask them after a day of filming."
"I did enjoy it," you say as you sit down in the nearest chair. It's true.
"Told you," Geonhak says, smiling. Seoho rolls his eyes.
"I really enjoyed it today," you say. "The song is so cool. And the filming location was absolutely amazing. I thought the building was really cool. I'm really excited to see the music video. Oh!" You check your phone and realize just how late it is. "Oh gosh, I have to get home."
"You're going home?" Youngjo asks, appearing from behind you. You nod, setting your phone down on the table next to you.
"Do you want one of us to take you home?" Seoho asks.
"No, it's okay," you say, shaking your head. "I only live ten minutes away."
"Okay. See you soon, Y/Nie!" Seoho says.
Youngjo walks you to the door, thanking you for helping out with dinner and the dishes, and he waves goodbye as you take the elevator down.
You hum as you walk down the street, slowly making your way toward your home. The night air is cool on your cheeks. The night is dark and calm.
After about five minutes of walking, you hear footsteps behind you. You tense up, but steadily quicken your footsteps, worried that it might be someone with hostile intentions. Then you hear the person call your name.
"Y/N! Y/N!"
You turn around. "Youngjo?"
He comes to a stop in front of you, gasping for breath with his hands on his knees.
Did he run all the way here?
"Youngjo, what--"
"You forgot your phone at the dorm," he says, reaching for his back pocket. He holds out your phone to you, and you take it. "It was on the dining table."
"Thank you for bringing this," you say. You pace your hand on his shoulder as he tries to catch his breath. "Youngjo, you didn't have to run all the way here. I would have noticed and come back to get it."
"I wanted to," he says, standing up straight and fixing his shirt. "Besides. I kind of wanted to walk you home."
"I'm sure you did. You can walk the rest of the way with me if you really want, since we're halfway there. Or you could go back to the dorm and rest after a long day of filming."
"I'll walk with you," he says.
You nod and continue toward your home, Youngjo by your side. You two walk toward your home together, side by side.
After a minute of comfortable silence, you speak.
"You should be proud," you say. He looks at you curiously. "The song is amazing. The choreo is beautiful. Everything I've heard, from the little sneak peaks you've given me to everything I've accidentally heard when I come into your studio uninvited, it's all amazing."
He smiles sweetly at you. You catch it out of the corner of your eye, the way he smiles that smile that makes you feel giddy. His eyes are shining brighter than the stars in the sky. But then again, Youngjo doesn't have any light pollution in his eyes. He has a very starry-eyed smile.
"I haven't heard all of the songs in full," you continue. "But knowing you and everyone else who has contributed, it'll be a masterpiece."
"Y/N . . ." Youngjo slows his walking pace, and you aren't sure if he's aware of it.
"Hm?" You look at him, slowing your pace to match his. He seems to be thinking really hard, staring at the floor with an unreadable expression. "Youngjo?"
He looks at you with a soft smile. It's not the same starry-eyed smile.
"Thank you for encouraging me, Y/N," he says gently. You feel like he wants to say more, but he doesn't. "Ah, we're here."
You look forward and realize you're at the doorstep of your apartment building.
"Oh yes." You nod. "Thank you for walking with me and returning my phone."
"Thank you for helping Geonhak with dinner and helping with dishes," Youngjo says. "And for visiting us during our music video filming. It gave us--all of us--energy and motivation to do well today."
You smile, opening your arms to him for a hug. He hugs you tightly, squeezing you as if you won't be seeing each other for a while.
You wave goodbye after pulling away and go into your apartment. You watch fondly from the window as Youngjo disappears down the street.
You really love him.

While away for Vacation we did still go to the movies, so this one might be a bit on the late side but we went to see the Idris Elba movie Beast.
I won't say to much about it being I don't want to spoil it but I thought it was a pretty good movie.
I remember seeing the trailers for it and thinking that it would probably be good and it opened while we were away so we seen it while on vacation
The basic story is Idris Elba character's wife dies of cancer so he decides to take his teenage daughters on a trip to Africa to visit where their mom was from in order to help with the grieving process and he hopes this is a chance to kinda reconnect with them. The oldest daughter seems a bit more upset and reluctant then the younger one towards her father and how he handled everything. While there they stay with a family friend who works at protecting the wildlife, while out and about with him the four of them are set upon by a crazed Lion who has been killing everything in its path and it all comes down to a matter of survival out in the wilderness.
This one is considered a thriller but I would classify it as strictly survival horror. It in a way kinda reminded me of the movie Cujo if you haven't seen that you should go and watch it.
but like I said I thought it was pretty good. it was nicely filmed and I thought the acting was good especially from Idris Elba the visuals and sound design were very well done I think it was a exciting and kinda suspenseful movie. it does keep you kinda on the edge of your seat a bit so I did like it and I would say I would recommend it. If you were interested in watching it I'd say go for it.

FLIX: FILMS TO WATCH THAT YOU MISSED, DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT OR HAVEN'T SEEN IN A MILLION YEARS! PART TWO
By Alyn Darnay
By now I’ll bet you’re feeling like you’ve been quarantined for about a year. You’re not alone. The almost four weeks I’ve been at home is beginning to rattle my bones as well. What’s saving me is the fact that I now have the time and ability to stream whatever film I want to watch, whenever I want to watch it. I’m literally programming a mini-film festival for myself almost every night and that’s been a lot of fun.
However, it’s also a challenge. With all the films out there that I’ve seen, loved, and would like to see again, picking just the right film for the day, time, and my mood has really tested my cinematic memory. That’s one of the reasons I’ve created this list, to make it easier for you to find some really great films to watch.
Here in Part Two, I’ve outlined some more 'should see' movies, but in a wider set of genres and styles. From westerns to thrillers, they are all available on one or more of the streaming services or on YouTube. As in the last list, they are all worthy of the time you put in watching. So here we go:
COMEDIES
The Ref: Trying to escape a botched robbery, cat burglar Dennis Leary unwittingly kidnaps the world’s most bickering couple to help him flee.
Harold and Maude: This cult classic from Director Hal Ashby is about the crazy romance between a 20-year-old disillusioned rich boy and an 80-year-old eccentric female.
Continental Divide: Chicago reporter John Belushi is sent to Wyoming to cover the story of a wildlife scientist after an attempt is made on his life for writing about corruption in the city. The best fish-out-of-water story ever!
Being There: Another classic from Hal Ashby, this one tells the story of simple-minded Chance the gardener and how he becomes a powerful influence in Washington D.C.
Weekend At Bernie's: When their boss is killed instead of them, two buddies attempt to make it appear that he’s still alive. It’s a stupid, stupid comedy, that’s loaded with some of the greatest sight gags ever put on film. It even spawned a sequel.
WESTERNS
The Wild Bunch: Director Sam Peckinpah’s gritty classic Western is about a group of outlaws in Mexico whose leader is planning to retire after one final robbery. My personal favorite Western.
Once Upon a Time In The West: Italian Director Sergio Leone’s masterpiece of the Old West centers around the fight over land and a mysterious gunslinger out for justice.
One-Eyed Jacks: Directed by and starring Marlon Brando, it tells the Old West tale of an outlaw betrayed by his partner, and his attempt to exact vengeance after serving years in jail. The film won an Oscar for Best Cinematography and the screenplay was by Sam Peckinpah.
ROBERT DE NIRO TRILOGY
Heat: A master criminal, facing problems with his crew, is planning his last big heist while being pursued by a relentless police lieutenant who has problems of his own.
Midnight Run: A bounty hunter is hired to locate and bring in an accountant, but what he doesn’t know is that everyone from the Mob to the FBI wants him too.
Cape Fear (1991): After his release from prison, a violent sex offender terrorizes the family of the lawyer who put him in jail.
FOUR FROM THE HEART
Peanut Butter Falcon: A Down Syndrome young man escapes his care home to follow his dreams and winds up traveling the country with an outlaw who becomes his buddy.
Lion: After being accidentally separated from his family in India at age five, a young boy is adopted by an Australian couple, but longs to find his real parents.
A Walk In The Clouds: A married WWII veteran, po-ses as a pregnant woman’s spouse to save her honor as she returns to her family’s Vineyard.
East Side Sushi: Juana, a single Latina mother, aspires to become a sushi chef after taking a job in the kitchen of a Japanese Restaurant. You’ll find this wonderful independent film on Amazon Prime.
SYFY
The Thing (1982): A shape-shifting alien assumes the appearance of members of a stranded Antarctic Research team in an attempt to survive.
Blade Runner (1982): An officer is assigned to hunt down and terminate four dangerous Replicants seeking their creator.
Children of Men: In a dying world where women are infertile, an agent tries to help the only pregnant female find sanctuary.
There’s something for everyone in this collection of films. I hope they help make your quarantine a little less tense. As the quarantine continues, I’ll follow up with other lists of films that you might have missed over the years. Stay safe and healthy!
