as i work on this reference, i'm reminded of rýsir's scarring, and i do think that the reminder is worth making note of - despite rýsir's own lack of shame towards his body, and the fact that he does not see any issue with his scars, he has countless scars that are very clearly from self harm. his body may be startling upon first glance, and it may make some people uncomfortable; his own personal feelings towards his body and his scars does not mean that one is not allowed to have a negative reaction to them.
