Gabriel: Uhm… Hello.

Theo: [ laughs ] You’re saying goodbye, the formal way to say hello is to move your hand to your forehead then move it outwards. You can also wave too. 

Gabriel: Wait, you can hear me?! Sorry, that sounded bad...

Theo: No, you’re good, everyone asks that. The answer is sort of. My hearing aids do a bulk of the work however, my left ear is completely shot but my right ear is fine. 

Gabriel: Ah, I see. I’m Gabriel by the way. 

Theo: Theo.

Gabriel: Did you just move in? I don’t think I’ve seen you around.

Theo: Yeah, I moved in just a few weeks ago. 

Gabriel: Ah, cool.

Theo: Mhm, listen, I’ve got some ice cream in my bag and..

Gabriel: [ overlapping ] Ah, you don’t want it to melt.

Theo: Unless you wanted to buy some more.

Gabriel: Any particular flavor?

Theo: Neapolitan.

Gabriel: Noted. See ya.
