i saw someone sharing said post in notes without the source. the post is not currently able to be reblogged. i also saw people sharing similar sentiments, and it's so heartbreaking.
original post, and an edited version with author's note, have both been deleted from source. you can view one of the blogs i found it still available.
btw, i am not calling anyone out, and do not ever condone sending hateful messages of any kind. this is to properly credit what i saw on my dash and in the notes on this specific post. there are no bad intentions in my sharing this information, i'm only trying to share some thoughts of what i see many people talking about- even prior to the most recent current events going on. i love and support my sisters, and all in the lgbtqia family.
i realized just before posting this that the update was still accessible through the notes section.
it's disturbing to me that this post, as originally worded, was intended for the immediate transfem community and not the overall trans community- as if it's ok to talk about transmasc and nonbinary, intersex, etc people in that way- so long as it's contained within transfem space. the message to warn and have a discussion is not what i'm addressing here, only how part of the trans community casually derides another.
transmasc people, and most outside of trans women's or transfem spaces, keep being called transmisogynistic for the harassment that is being done by the same conservatives who have harassed every transmasc person here (those of us who've had an account for over ten years). if you're not aware of how redditors have raided this site in the past, similar to now, look at the post on my blog about gamergate.
also, i genuinely have no idea why there's a popular post going around claiming that trans men who talk about trans men's issues are responsible for the current sitewide transmisogynistic mass report campaign? i have seen zero evidence for this, and if anyone has any evidence, i would love it if you could send it over so i can verify it.
everything i have seen firsthand indicates that the transmisogynistic mass report campaign is being carried out by, as normal, TERFs and crypto-TERFs, with a solid contingent of "people who are aligned with trans-positive spaces but hold radical-feminist-influenced anti-kink beliefs and align with radfems when told they're going against a Kinky Sexual Predator, meaning they carry out transmisogyny while supporting or even being transfem."
#this is why i block r/users. it's like all the lolcow kiwifarms 4chan 8chan reddit twitter people returned and it sucks#having to go through all those harassment campaigns and planned raids here YEARS ago...#just to receive the same harassment again from many anons AND now from transfems transwomen and fellow nonbinary people ???#i understand the importance of speaking up about transmisogyny but saying that's what's happening when other people discuss how they have-#and continue to experience misogyny AND even transmisogyny!! (however inaccurate it is to the identity of a person- it still happens!)#which is also why tme/tma or afab/amab conversations are so limited and EXCLUSIONARY from the start. it excludes trans people...#nonbinary and intersex people are excluded from those conversations. and then when some of these people try to talk about what we go throug#we're labeled transmisogynistic and belittled and dehumanized and laughed at no matter what we call it- if anything at all.#just talking about our own lives gets us thrown under the bus and swept away.#how is any of this conducive to being a community and having solidarity within the lgbtqia family?#is it really better to believe trolls and attack each other? and if i said this behavior was divisive i'd be called a transmisogynist...#then what is this behavior called? all the infighting and slander and reactionary hostility... what is it doing? what is it?#gender#lgbtqia#politics
