#then astarion isn't high enough level in his wizard multiclass to use that spell.

the nere fight without a sorcerer is hell on earth. that fight is always unpleasant, but without corydalis? it was so so so much worse. he can immediately kill the sergeant & nere in the very first turn. unfortunately with the way that battlefield is structured & how the enemies are dispersed, it is impossible to achieve that with a paladin. or any other class, I think.
sorcerers are just. better.
#bg3#bg3 spoilers#thoughts about media#HATE not having corydalis. you don't realise just how powerful sorcerers are until you don't have one.#for the record- this is how it took him one turn:#that level 3 lightning spell lined up over both of them (it will cover the distance) then meta magic quickened spell to do it again.#I believe this could be possible with a wizard if you used a haste potion? but I didn't want to cancel gale's potion of strength.#and he used his level 3 slots on counterspell. which was VERY necessary.#then astarion isn't high enough level in his wizard multiclass to use that spell.#like yeah paladins are strong too AND they can hit twice in one turn without using a bonus action.#in fact if you multiclass- you can stack a lot of extra hits onto a paladin.#the thing is? a sorcerer doesn't need all that. a sorcerer doesn't need to multiclass.#sorcerers are just. incredible on their own. best class in the game. hands down.#although I do think bard & paladin are right after sorcerer in terms of strength.#as soon as wyll hits level 6 in warlock. i'm multiclassing his remaining levels into sorcerer. no more suffering.

Hiya there! Since you said Corvus is a pretty strong cleric for Bane, what would his subclass be? Do you think Astarion's class and subclass from the game still fit him in your AU? What do you think would fit the other two?
It's always fun to me to see what classes characters would be lol
Corvus is a tempest domain cleric. Loves lightning and all of the pain it causes. It's pretty. Makes him feel powerful. Basically works with his whole gimmick and he has perfected it to an art.
Local sadist man plays with lightning whip. Results are about what you'd expect.
When I use Astarion, I always make him an assassin because I find all of the other bases are usually covered. I make him high dps and a nasty little fighter capable of absolutely devastating a motherfucker, so I kind of imagine he ended up assassin subclass-- especially since he does not use magic much in any of the aus, although he is capable of learning a spell or two sometimes. He is ascended, and has all of the abilities afforded an ascended as well.
Reaver-- fuck, man. He's a rogue of sorts, but also sort of fits into artificer and-- whatever you could call someone who literally cannot miss with a bow or a gun. Like deus ex machina levels of incredible aim. That's what heroes of skill have going for them in Fable. Multiclass rogue/artificer with a DM that is essentially allowing him to fuckin' cheat and always roll a nat 20 when it comes to combat because it's his super power. (We're talking even a mile off he can hit the wings off of a fly with a rock if he can throw it hard enough. Give him a sniper rifle and watch him become God.)
Ilya would have been a fighter before he died. Now though? Fighter multiclassed with some kind of wizard but infused with hell magic rather than regular magic. Fantastic with weapons-- any weapon, really-- but can cause some real fucking devastation with magic when he wants to.
All of them would be remarkably high leveled. Like 'fight God' kind of high leveled, just because they've been around for so long and also them being weak and wimpy just isn't fun.
Corvus can be created in Baldur's gate except all the faces.. don't work, and also you cannot align with Bane, which throws a fuckin' wrench in there. Reaver would be rough because he needs his goddamn gun or he can't sleep at night. I guess I could get the glock mod for funnies and maybe some dumbass outfit mod to give him a horrible, tacky outfit. I should try creating Ilya in Baldur's Gate. It would be a trip. Except starting him at level one would be... difficult, and he would hate all of the armor.
