Castlevania s2 thoughts! [spoilers obviously :D]

1. I LOVED IT. Grey morality after my own heart <3

2. It seems a lot of people hated him, but Godbrand is my favorite of the new characters, holy shit. He’s amazing. No filter, all his criticisms and arguments are on fucking point. He brought up everything I would have in that situation. Easily the voice of intuition/reason in the war council, which is utterly hilarious given who he is, and reminded me how much I miss Grimmjow. Great comic relief too. He was my hero this season. I was honestly really sad to see him go :(

3. Banter between the trio was A+++ I would have loved to see even more downtime interaction between all three, and more between Sypha and Alucard ‘cause Trevor tends to steal the show XD, but I know I’m greedy.

4. FUCKING GORGEOUS ANIMATION AND MUSIC. THOSE BACKGROUNDS????? AAAAAAAHHHH.

5. Dracula is a softie and depressed (yes, “tired” is what we all call it XD) and relatable and I really wish he could have had that hug he was going for from his son (before Trevor chopped his head off T_T I mean I get where Trevor was coming from, seeing Alucard backed into a corner, scared, with disintegrating!Dracula approaching, but :((((((((( )

6. If you insist that a group of people is “white” and “privileged” and treat them like trash whenever they try to explain to you why they are very much a minority and the consequences they suffer for it, then you can’t hurl p//oc “injustice” over a character that is, by all the information we currently possess, from that same culture. Sorry I don’t make the rules, make up your fucking minds ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

7. Alucard!!!! I love him so much. He’s the best boy. THE BEST. I know he wouldn’t have been able to break down and cry like he needed to with the others around, but... someone needs to check in on him. Give him food. And blankets. He might have agreed to make it a home and not a grave, but he’s totally not going to take care of himself at all, all alone in that castle T_T Someone send him a burger and ice cream.

8. I’m starting to see a strange pattern with me, fandom majority opinion, Western animation, and white-haired female characters lmao. I guess I just have a different definition of what a “strong female character” entails. She’s a great character, don’t get me wrong, but like... not my ideal for positive “feminist” representation lol.

9. Aah, crusaders. Yep. An accurate depiction, and I enjoyed every moment of his suffering and subsequent death *forever bitter over 1204*

10. UNDEAD PUG OMG <3 IS HE OKAY?? ARE THE ANIMALS IN THE CASTLE OKAY? HAS ALUCARD ADOPTED THEM ALL NOW? I NEED ANSWERS.

11. My one huge regret: THE JAPANESE VAMPIRE?!?! Heian period badass lady who materializes in dust and smoke?? With makeup on point? LET HER SPEAK. FREE HER. I wanted to see more of her, why did she die ;___;

12. Okay, I lied, my second huge regret: I really wanted Hector to have round house kicked Carmilla into the river. Or pushed her out in range of the river water falling from the sky. You need to up your byzantine game bro. 

13. Trevor fucking Belmont was, as always, highly relatable. I love reluctant foul-mouthed sassy protagonists. The giggling/chuckling between him and Alucard was  a d o r a b l e.

14. Sypha was incredible this season aaaaaaahhh <3 She may have broken the castle, but they would have never even procured a wagon without her tbh. 

15. Local greek relocated to remote edge of small island, living in solitude and isolation with a zoo of pets and rampant depression, harboring hatred for humanity? << 2 compatriots give this a Mood™ rating 

16. I would have loved some scenes between Lisa and Dracula. Like... just a couple... even just one ;___;
