Ppl: hitting or striking your animal in any way is abuse and you're an evil person to do that!
Cats and big dogs: I Require a Beating. An Unmitigated Mauling. A Full On Butt Spanking. Give Me Rough Housing and Horseplay or Give Me Death.
#iykyk#of the 12 cats I've had over the course of my life#only 2 didn't actively like rough handling#one bc we got her as a senior citizen and weren't going to do that to her anyway bc arthritis#she got massages instead#and the other was a very sweet and very shy rescue that - again - we weren't going to do that too anyway#though she did let my dad and only my dad handle her at about 23% roughness for short bursts#also y'all its legit good for your cats and big dogs to handle them a bit rough if they like/tolerate it#its how they play with littermates and how they learn self control with tooth and claw#especially if you deliberately start annoying them then reward them before they lose their patience#their patience will grow which will inherently make them safer around kids and ppl who don't know the relevant manners#all of the above also makes them easier for veterinary staff to handle#bc they know rough doesn't mean threatening and that patience means treats#pet posting#big dogs#cats#they're predators guys of course they love violence
