the [insert indescribably negative and hopeless adjective here] thing about our world is that unlike the great equalizer that is the Pale, the world likely won't end for everyone once things go to shit.

according to some of the simulations for how wet bulb temps will worsen: the comparatively small % of people who are able to survive decently in the system right now will likely survive the climate catastrophe.

maybe we'll be proletarianised or lose our trivial little luxuries. the concessions - sorry, "rights" that we have may be revoked. maybe our state will collapse and reform. on the whole though, most of us here who are already sitting pretty will live, while most of the actual global population won't.
