I collided a cracky plot with a serious but outlandish one and threw in some unrelated fic I read after someone mentioned it on Dreamwidth and now I have in my head a scene where

the Thirteenth Doctor brings ~Melody Pond a birthday pie baked by Eric Bittle but one of her her de facto guardians Justin Playfair has already obtained a birthday dessert from an alternate dimension ~neighbor, the fastest* personal chef from Naboo ...Palpatine

*fastest strictly in terms of record personal velocity and not in rate of food produced

#...River growing up with Watson as her guardian is semi-serious #neighbor and savior of badly cooked food Palpatine is naturally crack #this is probably cringe. otoh I maintain it has potential to be a certain value of delightful if you grant me a little latitude #the unrelated fic is various iterations of Bitty baking (and there's ship content but the baking is relevant here)#the they might be giants (1971) crossover is motivated by wanting to fix moffat nonsense...#...I do think that Palpatine would be fairly bad at ice sports
