Did u know that the Italian Unabomber (31-33 attacks attributed to them between 1994 and 2006, concentrated in the North East of Italy, no manifesto found, no signature, never credibly claimed by any organisation) has never been caught? This is because while all cops are worthless worm, Italian cops are the worthless worms that other worthless worms are embarrassed to be seen with
#ok the case is genuinely difficult#the og unambomber was only caught because his bro recognised his writing from his manifesto. and he sucked#but still. worthless

2017 Annual Review
Stolen from Md-Admissions
1 - What did you do in 2017 that you’d never done before?
Quit a job, took antidepressants, went on a date!
2 - Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Nah. I don’t typically make resolutions, though I always intend to get healthier and spend more time with Jesus.
3 - Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yup, 2 of my best buddies and my former nurse!
4 - Did anyone close to you die?
Sort of. My dad died. We weren’t close, but you know. I also had 27 patients die in 2017.
5 - What countries did you visit?
France, Israel
6 - What would you like to have in 2018 that you lacked in 2017?
More confidence in meeting new people, more enjoyment of my work, better time management, and the ability to say no without fear.
7 - What date from 2017 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
1/1/17, when I turned in my notice for my old job; 7/14/17, my last day at that job; 4/16/17 my dad’s death date.
8 - What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Taking back control of my life and getting closer to the lifestyle in and out of work that I want.
9 - What was your biggest failure?
Laziness. In pretty much everything, but especially when it comes to physical fitness.
10 - Did you suffer illness or injury?
I got a cold or two, but otherwise I’m good!
11 - What was the best thing you bought?
My new house that is soooo cute!
12 - Whose behavior merited celebration?
My new office manager, who I love because she actually cares about the staff.
13 - Whose behavior made you appalled or depressed?
My older sister- neither of us were close with our dad, but she was plain mean about some things.
My former medical partners, who had no interest in helping me succeed in my job.
14 - Where did most of your money go?
Paying my way out of my old job and life. To the hospital, who had me ransomed for a buttload of cash to keep me working in that horrible place. To the apartment complex I stayed in briefly but had to honor a 6 month lease. To my new house which I am loving furnishing. Student loans. Taxes.
15 - What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Leaving my old job!
16 - What song(s) will always remind you of 2017?
Look What You Made Me Do by Taylor Swift- because it’s a crap song for a crap year.
17 - Compared to this time last year, are you:
I. Happier or sadder?
Much happier. SO MUCH HAPPIER.
II. Thinner or fatter?
Same.
III. Richer or poorer?
A lot poorer, thanks to having to pay my way out of a contract.
18 - What do you wish you’d done more of?
I’m gonna second MD-A and say more self care. I definitely did a lot better in 2017 because I did absolutely focus on getting myself to a better place mentally, but I wish I had taken better care of my body in addition to my mind.
19 - What do you wish you’d done less of?
Watch tv.
20 - How will you be spending/spent christmas?
Went home and hung out with my mom and sister and grandma.
21 - Did you fall in love in 2017?
Negative.
22 - How many one-night stands?
Zero.
23 - What was your favorite tv program?
Probably Manhunt: Unabomber
24 - Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
No
25 - What was the best book you read?
Finished up Bastard Out of Carolina by Dorothy Allison last week (so good!) and I’m almost done with a serial killer thriller now.
26 - What was your greatest musical discovery?
I didn’t discover anyone new this year but got a lot of new stuff from old faves.
27 - What did you want and get?
New job, house of my own, and a 4 day work week.
28 - What was your favorite film of this year?
Uhm, not sure there. Nothing sticks out at me.
29 - What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Turned 31 at home with my family. Nothing special this year.
30 - What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A fella. Or babies.
31 - How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2017?
Super casual at my old job- khakis and sweaters or leggings and tunics. New job is slightly more formal and I had to give up the leggings at work.
32 - What kept you sane?
Jesus, Prozac, Wellbutrin, medblr, and my family
33 - Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I really can’t think of anyone!
34 - What political/social issue stirred you the most?
Healthcare equality, immigration ban, rampant sexual harassment of women
35 - Who did you miss?
My granddaddy.
36 - Who was the best new person you met?
One of my work partners and a neighbor of mine, both of whom I knew before but have gotten to know much better in the past few months and they have become great friends.
37 - Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2017:
You can’t sacrifice happiness and contentment for money or approval. There’s never enough of either to make you happy.

100 Mutants & Masterminds Session Ideas
One of my favorite RPGs is the tabletop game Mutants and Masterminds. This clever take on the classic medium of heroism serves as one of the most diverse scenarios for both DMs and PCs. However, with so much freedom, it can be sometimes overwhelming to find a scenario that will catch the attention of both parties. Based on my own experience, it’s best to contain the game to one-shot campaigns, but you also need to take the time to shake it up if you’re playing it in the long term. So without further do, here’s a list of session ideas that I’ve either field tested, or always wanted to try out. Enjoy!
1) A gang of villains steals NPCs close to the heroes to bait them into a trap 2) There are children going missing all across the city and nothing ties them together, save for the fact that they’re all mutants 3) A villainous Speedster is stealing advanced technology 4) A smuggling ring has been revealed, and it turns out that the contraband is a cover for something far worse 5) A meteor is hurtling toward Earth, and it doubles as a mobile nesting ground for invading aliens 6) A host of horrible monsters have been plaguing the city, but all of them turn out to be child experiments to create Mutant war machines, and they are simply desperate to find their way home, and are coping with the predatorial instincts that have been unlocked from their genetic code being tampered with 7) A villain has figured out a way to transfer his consciousness into the internet, and this could spell disaster for the entire city, maybe even the entire world 8) The local jail has been taken over and forced ordinary criminals and mutant villains into fighting in gladiatorial combat 9) A criminal enterprise has let its services become available to the common man for a reasonable fee. Secretly, the criminals have dirt on all who buy up on their services 10) A group of C-list villains joins forces to commit a crime that will make all A-list schemes pale in comparison 11) A microscopic species mingles with a viral disease, and is on the verge of becoming airborne and unstoppable 12) The archenemies of the heroes trade opponents to exploit weaknesses and win the fight once and for all 13) The forces of nature have been harnessed in an object or person in order to avenge the lives lost to pollution or a human-caused disaster 14) All of the inhabitants of a village/town/city begin killing one another, claiming that their loved ones have turned into monsters 15) A series of monsters, villains, and disasters appear randomly across the city. But when they’re revealed to be illusions, the heroes must investigate how the damage was done 16) A band of mercenaries are taking the fight to criminals, and it’s up to the heroes to decide what to do with them. Aid them in their blood-soaked path to a safer neighborhood, or bringing the mercenaries to justice. 17) Criminals have stolen advanced weapons and are using them to commit crimes 18) A series of demons are collecting contracts in your city 19) A race of leviathans break the seawall and invade the land to consume humans 20) A demented sorcerer has called on spirits from beyond to kill the heroes at the cost of his own soul 21) A young vampire has expanded his vampirism to the criminal underworld and the police. He has designs to live his eternal life in luxury and decadence, and take down anyone who stands in his way 22) An astral presence is possessing victims and driving them insane, and leaving them with violent psychic powers before leaving them 23) A cyber terrorist sends messages to the heroes, and threatens to take innocent lives for every riddle/mystery/problem they can’t solve in time. 24) The powers of young Mutants go into overdrive. Earth Elementals cause Earthquakes when walking, Mimics permanently steal the life forces of everything they touch, and psychics read minds of everyone in range all at once 25) All of the legal authorities in your jurisdiction (cops, lawyers, judges) have fallen unconscious, and their heartbeats get fainter every hour. Find out the cause before their hearts are silenced forever 26) One of your villains has declared that he/she has turned over a new leaf. Are they being genuine, or is it a scam? 27) An “Ultimate Mimic” sets out to collect the heroes’ powers. But along the way, it encounters something else, the capacity for human emotions. Both prove to be overwhelming 28) A time-traveler meets your heroes in the present day with some of the most devious criminal of all time (Jack the Ripper, Al Capone, Unabomber, etc.) 29) After averting a natural disaster, the heroes accidentally unleash an ancient being that has designs on ruling the world 30) A botched attempt at an eternal youth ritual turns the heroes or villains into children. In it, there’s a change to either rehabilitate them or to help them regain their original age 31) Alternate versions of the heroes claim that they are the true versions (robots who think they’re you, clones how need help understanding who they are, or runaway shape shifting aliens desperate to escape intergalactic authorities). 32) An old man is taking in the homeless and giving them superpowers in exchange for services. Yet his incredible gifts come at a terrible price 33) Dozens of death row inmates that have never met are claiming that they were framed by the exact same man 34) The apprentice of a hero (or villain) has received the last will of their mentor after they have died. It pleads that they kill their most hated enemy 35) Those with superpowers begin losing their abilities while normal humans gain superpowers 36) An alien war has reached Earth, and humanity is merely seen as collateral damage 37) A new designer drug turns addicts into zombies with repeated exposure 38) A Master of Disguise steals nanobots to kidnap his rivals. He then copes their biological signature before killing them. The nanobots then mimic the appearance of their victims perfectly, down to the last cell 39) The heroes are shrunk to miniscule size in a bizarre deathtrap. A rat mazes becomes a hunting ground with the heroes as prey. A cup of water becomes a boundless sea with little chance of escape. Or electrons become like wrecking balls and the world you knew before has vanished completely 40) A twisted business tycoon is capturing aliens that land on Earth and is keeping them in tanks, prodding at their bodies to discover treatments for deadly diseases 41) A hero (or villain) has been diagnosed with a deadly disease. All they want is to commit the ultimate act of heroism/villainy before they go out 42) A new procedure is unveiled that can turn even the most violent criminals into law-abiding citizens. While it proves effective, a group of villains want to use the procedure to turn innocent people into their minions who have no regard for morality 43) A monster of pure energy is created, and it has the ability to grow larger with the more power it consumes. If left unchecked, it will engulf the entire earth, perhaps even the universe 44) A top-secret military vessel has been stolen. If it is not soon recovered, the end result could be a modern pirate crew that can’t be stopped 45) A new island has popped upon the map. A massive glacier located on the equator. You are tasked with finding out how it got there 46) An ancient African spirit escapes his tribal burial casket and has designs of killing the most powerful warriors on Earth 47) A cult has kidnapped a child from one of the most powerful arcane bloodlines on Earth. However, the victim ahs no idea that they are the product of such a respected or powerful family 48) A drug ring has claimed a chemist who has discovered a formula that will make a hardcore drug for half the production cost, but with twice the potency. Will you save the chemist, or bring her to justice for illegal activity? 49) After collecting the artifacts of a great historical figure (Napoleon, Montezuma, etc.) an archeologist concludes that the subject may have had meta-human abilities. They may even still be among us! 50) A supposed alien spacecraft turns out to be a human-crafted Trojan Horse to steal scientific knowledge from a rival nation 51) The hero of an old war (WWI, WWII, Vietnam) is hiding in one of the wildest and least known portions of the world. It’s revealed that exile in luxury was his reward/punishment for his actions in his service to his country. Now he wants to fight another war…a war on mutants! 52) A false mage is using his supposed power as a cover up for an illegal arms race, but no one can catch him or debunk him on his false magic. The people who want to catch him are also superstitious, and it’s your job to bring him to justice when no one else can or will. 53) A once-respected scientist is breeding animals with immense strength, speed, or some other form of meta-human power. All for the sake of hunting humans for sport 54) An old woman has struck fear into the hearts of a village or town by threatening to kill them with an otherworldly creature that has a childlike affection for her 55) An entire forest has had its trees converted into incubation chambers. People are hidden inside, but for what purpose? Assimilating plant cells into animals? Nature consuming industry? Or perhaps a new stage in evolution? 56) A pack of werewolves are killing livestock across the countryside. Is it an attempt to satisfy their appetites without killing humans, or are they feeding the pups so they can hunt humans? Either way, the angry mobs are impatient for answers, and you must discover the truth 57) Arcane murders have been committed across the city. However, each victim has hidden out in a place they shouldn’t have been, there’s no sign of forced entry, and they are found in impossible circumstances (they burn without any sign of fire, gravity ceases to work in the room, or there are no shadows present at the murder site). 58) An alien race is discovered by a small band of heroes, and it turns out they have been on Earth longer than humans. Do they harbor ill-intent? Have they been hiding out of fear? What is their overarching goal? 59) A missile silo network has been discovered in a swamp. Is it the product of arms dealers, a fallen Cold War regime, or a secret government project? 60) NASA’s latest anti-gravity technology is being stolen for criminal purposes 61) A poacher has been travelling around the world collecting Mutants of all kinds for trophies. You happen upon his facility and discover that he’s also been keeping them in captivity like a zoo. Yet some of them seem incapable of assimilating into the regular world. Some may not even want to 62) An ancient fighting tournament has called all the world’s greatest warriors into mortal combat. Many of them are meta-humans, but there can only be one winner. 63) A new meta-human training program has started. If you’re new to this, you’re one of the recruits. If you’re an established hero, you’re a proctor. Those who pass the program get their “hero license” 64) A meta-human military program is revealed that turned the tide of the last war. The project was top secret, and now the lives of each member are in jeopardy when their secret identities are revealed to the world 65) A prominent hero has fallen unconscious. After a preliminary investigation, it’s revealed tha their mind was sent to the Astral Plain. It’s up to you to get them back 66) A young woman has been subjected to years of systematic experimentation to unlock her superpowers. However, the end result is transferring her horrific scars and injuries via touch. She’s been freed for the first time in decades, and she’s got a lot of hate to go around 67) It turns out that time machines aren’t needed to travel through the time stream. There are “Temporal Circles” that allow you to travel into the past and future. They have claimed hundreds of lives and are responsible for hundreds of missing persons. But the source is unknown, so it’s up to you to find out how it’s done 68) A powerful psychic has captured the heroes in a dream world where he is supreme ruler 69) A living brain in a jar has designs at attaining a human body. Preferably, it’s one that has superpowers and has physical strength to match its mental strength 70) A cursed suit of armor grants incredible strength to whomever wears it. However, it also develops an obsession in the user to kill 71) An archenemy approaches the heroes with the proposition of joining forces to take down a greater evil 72) A hero has been sent back in time as penance for a horrible act he’s committed, yet he has trouble remembering why. The danger becomes more intense as time police arrive to ensure that he doesn’t disrupt the time stream 73) “Mutant Factories” have popped up across the city/state/country and they take in the most destitute people in an attempt to have guinea pigs for creating their own personal mutant armies. 74) Unusual clues are left behind at crime scenes, and it seems as though someone wants to be found. Is it a kidnapping victim leaving a trial, a villain laying breadcrumbs for a trap, or an extra dimensional entity trying to contact you? 75) A series of strange sensations overcome random civilians (a cold wind, a burning sensation, the feeling that they’re being crushed). Something must connect them together. But what? 76) A hero has been called into court for a crime they didn’t commit. The penalty is severe (life in jail, stripped of their powers, death, etc.) and they are unable to prove their innocence. Prove it for them before time runs out 77) A natural disaster (earthquake, hurricane, fire) threatens to demolish an entire city, yet its source is not natural 78) Satellites have been hacked and are being used to disrupt/hack into military technology. It’ sup to you to take the culprit down before countless lives are lost 79) Local criminals have taken to the streets with advanced exoskeleton armor that can withstand shots from a tank 80) An eccentric Gadgeteer poses you a challenge at the local sports arena. You two are to engage in battle to see who is worthy of being called a hero 81) An organization of Mystics is using their combined power to block out the sun with a solar eclipse. This way, the creatures that come out at night will never have to hide again and heroes everywhere will be at their mercy 82) Dopplegangers of the heroes are reeking havoc in the streets, and blackening their names 83) A group of demigods destroy monuments of the mortal world, claiming that they are now the rightful rulers of humanity 84) The local villain prison has had all of its inmates escape 85) Sky Pirates have stopped over a major city and are embarking on skyward swashbuckling venture, stealing bank vaults, ATMs, jewels, and everything else of value 86) A villain gathers the most powerful minds on the planet and plans to extract their intelligence so he becomes unstoppable 87) A string of crimes mirror a crime spree that occurred fifty years ago. Any police officers alive that investigated the original disasters are soon ending up dead or missing 88) People are rapidly starting to experience devolution and turning into primates with immense strength and a hive mind. Discover the source of this mutation before it becomes too powerful to stop 89) A series of scrolls have been exhibited at a museum. But when they are stolen, the heroes must find them before its too late. When deciphered, these scrolls unlock the most ancient secrets of marital arts, granting their user incredible powers such as enhanced strength, element control, and invincibility 90) The heroes are transported to a labyrinth that holds their worst fears 91) A medical facility is unearthed that subjects its patients to numerous diseases in order to create cures for the rest of the world. But will you let hundreds suffer endlessly for the benefit of millions, or free them? 92) A master thief has discovered a method of controlling animals to steal valuables from wealthy homes 93) A villain captures one of his nemeses in an attempt to form a malevolent partnership, seducing him to the side of villainy 94) A cold cannon is fired into the atmosphere to cause a second ice age 95) The Rogues Gallery of a city have established a competition to see who can take down their mutual foe first. They are not to aid one another, and the winner gets to unveil the secret identity of the hero. 96) The villain sets up a trap to unmask the heroes on live TV 97) A freak accident renders a villain without powers for a time, but then gives them new abilities 98) Animals have been infused with mutated DNA. Some of the creatures become monsters, and some become human 99) A sinister robot faces off against the heroes, claiming that it knows all of their moves and strategies before they even do 100) An EMP goes off in the center of a city and shuts down all technology within. This leaves ample opportunity for looters and pillagers

***Police were called at about 10:33 p.m. to Planet 3 Extreme Air Park on Miller Road near Interstate 75 [in Flint Township] after reports of shots fired inside.
The victim, a 43-year-old man from Flint, was pronounced dead at the scene.***
A 39 y/o woman has been arrested. The man and the woman knew each other.
Police are investigating the incident and are seeking the public's help in identifying the white male driver of a light-colored creme or white SUV that was backed into a parking space in the parking lot of Planet 3 at the time.
The vehicle may be damaged by the suspect's blue Chevy Tahoe, prior to the shooting taking place, police said.

Howell — In the past, Theresa Brennan was the one meting out justice to a defendant begging for leniency during sentencing.
Friday, Brennan found herself on the other side in Livingston County Circuit Court as visiting Judge Paul Cusick prepared to sentence her for committing perjury during her divorce proceedings.***
People in the standing-room crowd clapped and one courtroom spectator shouted, "Welcome to your nightmare!" after Brennan's sentence was announced.***
Brennan is accused of judicial misconduct involving Kowalski's case in January 2013. The former judge is accused of having an affair with a Michigan State Police lieutenant who was a key witness Kowalski's murder trial.
Kowalski was convicted of killing his brother, Richard, and sister-in-law, Brenda. The couple were found shot to death in their Osceola Township home in May 2008.***
In April, the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission recommended that Brennan be removed from the bench in 53rd District Court after the commission found she failed to disclose relationships with a state police detective and an attorney who had appeared before her; tampered with evidence in her divorce case; lied under oath; "was persistently impatient, undignified, and discourteous," and ordered employees to perform personal tasks during work hours.***
J. Cusick sentenced her to six months in prison, probation, and the usual related conditions.

Kiernan Williams, 19, allegedly shot two people to death at Ventura, a San Antonio, Texas bar and injured five others on Sat, 18 Jan 20. The deceased are Robert Jay Martinez III, 20 and Alejandro Robles, 25.
Mr Williams had four previous arrests - three for assault. When arrested, he
told the present media members, "Don't worry about me. I'm gonna be alright." Additionally, the self-described "upcoming artist" chose the moment to promote his Instagram.***
Williams's final words before getting into the back of a patrol unit were, "Y'all have a blessed day."***

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will appear in a Guantanamo Bay courtroom this week, more than 18 years after the 9/11 terrorist attacks he is alleged to have masterminded and a year before he will finally face a jury.***
Mohammed's defense team is led by Gary Sowards, who represented the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski, whose domestic bombing campaign killed three people.
After multiple scuttled military commissions, battles over classified information, and accusations of torture, the death penalty trial for the alleged brains behind 9/11, along with additional alleged plotters and other al Qaeda members, has been set for this time next year at the U.S. naval base. Brig. Gen. Mark Martins of the U.S. Army, a 60-year-old West Point graduate, has been the lead prosecutor on the 9/11 case for nearly a decade.***
Air Force Col. Shane Cohen, who is presiding, announced last summer that the trial would begin Jan. 11, 2021. The military panel jury selection is scheduled to begin eight months before the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.***
Defendants are due in court today, 21 Jan.

What Makes a Serial Bomber Tick?
Austin, Texas, recently experienced 19 days of terror at the hands of an unknown figure, as hundreds of law-enforcement officers crisscrossed the Texas capital in a race to track down a shadow. We now know the “who”: The bombings were perpetrated by a 23-year-old, homegrown, unemployed community-college dropout named Mark Anthony Conditt. Investigators probably know the makeup of the mechanical switches he used to detonate his seven deadly devices, ones filled with smokeless powder along with nails to enhance their shrapnel effect. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) and the FBI likely rebuilt each device to study it. What we don’t know is the composition of the switch in the bomber’s head that, once flipped, allowed him to move forward with his assault on the sense of safety and security of the city of Austin. It’s the “why” we don’t understand.
Conditt, who would say in regard to these bombings, “I wish I were sorry, but I am not,” did not seem markedly different from other men and women his age, in his community. Conditt once identified himself as politically conservative, with some making much of his six-year-old statements against abortion and gay marriage, this while others countered that he was against sex offenders being labeled for life, a position perhaps associated with a more liberal base. So what drove him to murder? These were not spontaneous acts. These bombings were a planned, methodical series of decisions that he could have stopped at any point before his eventual death at his own hands.
According to law enforcement, Conditt left a graphic 25-minute video on his cell phone before he killed himself, in which he described his bombs and bombings in great detail, but chose not to reveal his ultimate motive or the reason for his target selection. In addition to this video, police say he also left bomb-making components in his house, items that he could have used to construct even more explosive devices. It’s likely they were things such as iron pipes and caps, smokeless powder, nails, wires, and batteries. He also left behind something else that may help in determining his motive for murder: a list of addresses, possibly his “hit list” of individuals he hadn’t yet targeted.
Technically, Conditt was not a serial bomber, but a spree bomber. By definition, a serial offender has emotional cooling-off periods between offenses, during which they retreat back into their seemingly normal life. Conditt had no such pauses. But never mind the precise label—he was a killer with the full potential to continue killing had he not been stopped.
I was an early member of the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, where we specialized in extrapolating possible insights into criminals’ psyches from limited information. Conditt is dead, and he did not say why he did what he did, which means we can never really know his exact motive or motives. But by examining his actions, and looking at those who have committed similar crimes, we can begin to guess at what might have been going on in his mind.
Conditt’s actions included research, planning, design, buying components, building his devices, and victim/target acquisition, as well as the development of his surreptitious methods of delivery. These actions could have taken him weeks, even months before he was ready to strike. His crimes seem more indicative of planning and design than simply raw passion.
Conditt made pipe bombs, which are one of the more common devices used by bombers, according to the ATF. They can be built relatively easily with simple materials. The Austin bomber probably studied the actions of the spree or serial bombers that came before him to devise his method.
He ultimately detonated a bomb in his car when a SWAT team attempted to arrest him, electing to commit suicide before allowing himself to be captured and exposed to society. But if the motives of those previous bombers are any indication, what we would have found had he been exposed was unlikely to be an evil genius. Bombers have tended to be emotionally and socially challenged individuals who appear to want to punish society for perceived injustices against them. Examples of such are:
The original “Mad Bomber,” George Metesky, terrorized New York for almost two decades, planting at least 33 bombs (many times concealed in a distinctive red sock) across that city, injuring 15 people. His motive: anger with his former employer concerning a workplace injury he had sustained years before.
Ted Kaczynski, a Harvard educated former professor was the notorious “Unabomber,” built pipe bombs in the privacy of his remote Montana cabin, sending 16 bombs that killed three and injured 23 over an 18-year period. When he was captured, he had a completed bomb under his bed, bomb-making components and his own “hit list” of potential future victims in his cabin. His motive: a hatred of modern society—especially its reliance on technology—and, possibly, revenge. He expressed no remorse.
Eric Rudolph, the so-called “Olympic Park Bomber,” used at least four different bombs to kill two and injure 120 people. Motive: Rudolph, a loner like Metesky and Kaczynski before him, was anti-government, anti-gay, anti-abortion, and had a general dislike for those around him. He, too, failed to express any remorse or regret for his actions.
Mark Conditt, the “Austin Bomber,” who used the alias “Kelly Killmore” as the sender of his FedEx package bombs, like those bombers before him also failed to express guilt or remorse. His parents said they were unaware of the “darkness” their son was in. A friend of his described him to the Los Angeles Times as smart, “intense,” “strait-laced,” lonely and angry, and suggested: “It’s in the dark that people start getting angry and sad and eventually go off the deep end.”
Some of Conditt’s early victims were black or Hispanic, which led to speculation that his bombings were hate crimes—but later victims were white, and police said his confession video didn’t indicate he was motivated by racism. He also did not call himself a terrorist, a definition with which many struggle today. He hasn’t yet been proven to have a clear religious or political motive.
My knowledge of such offenders suggested that the Austin bomber was someone more youthful than those that came before him. The hurried frequency between events suggested he would soon make a mistake that would help identify him, while the lack of any known political or religious motive, as well as the identities of his victims, suggested this was more of a personal crime, likely committed by someone with mental-health challenges and long-held anger against society in general, as represented by the general makeup of his victims.
Did he have some unique insight into his own psyche? He labeled himself in his left-behind video as a “psychopath.” He said “he had been disturbed since he was a child.” He can’t be diagnosed now, of course, but his “video confession,” said the Austin police chief, was “the outcry of a very challenged young man talking about challenges in his personal life that led him to this point.”
Should the Austin bomber’s self-analysis as a psychopath (traditionally defined as a personality disorder) be correct, an investigation may find that he exhibited associated traits, like lack of empathy, impaired remorse, antisocial behavior and perhaps other egotistical traits as well as his now on the record violent social behavior.
Fortunately, spree or serial bombers are rare in this country. Unfortunately, we continue in our struggle to understand “the why” in cases like this. As we attempt our psychological autopsy of the recent bomber, we look for simple answers to explain otherwise complicated behavior. History tells us that many of these acts are committed by challenged individuals who see violence as their own form of conflict resolution. Unfortunately, the more of these types of crimes that are committed, the more examples (and the more inspiration) there is for similarly challenged individuals who end up choosing violence as their ultimate means of expression.

Najbolje inostrane serije (RECENZIJA)
Putovanja? Ljubav? Uspesi? Druženje? Zdravlje? Pokloni? Ispod, ogroman prazan prostor a onda idu ostali pačići i učenici… "The Leftovers" nije slučajno prva do prvog, Linča. Posebni najež: upotreba numere benda A-ha "Take on me". Izvor: agitpop.me "The Deuce" je naveliko obradovala tokom druge polovine 2017. Genijalno. Izvor: YouTube "Halt and Catch Fire S04". Izvor: YouTube Iako nije bio ni blizu kvaliteta druge sezone (a to će se teško dostići) "Fargo (S03)" nam je doneo neke epohalne momente: tu je ponovo Keri Kun koju znamo iz "The Leftovers", naš Goran Bogdan i njegov rusko/kozački geng, zli Varga koji ceni sovjetsku revoluciju i nezaboravne biblijske citate koje ležerno "cepa" Rej Vajz (Ray Wise) - inače u Twin Peaks igra tatu Lore Palmer u kome čuči BOB a ovde je misteriozni Wandering Jew. Autor Noa Hauli (Noah Hawley) je fan Linča, i sve nas to vraća na važnost broja Jedan na ovoj listi. "Deliver a message when the time comes, to the wicked: 'Though thou exalt thyself like the eagle; though thou make thy nest among the stars; thence will I bring thee down, saith the Lord'". Hint: Pretty in Pink. "American Vandal" je mocumentary/omaž dokumentarnom serijalu "The Keepers". "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" - I dalje sitkom broj jedan. Moram priznati, često sam tokom gledanja razmišljala koliko li svi oni smrde kad su stalno blatnjavi i neokupani :) "Pls Like" - Brutalni "mocumentary" o tome kako postati i ostati online zvezda. "Top of the lake: China Girl". "I Love Dick". Bože, bože, bože. KOLIKO je Kevin Bejkon savršen u ovoj humorističkoj mini-seriji. Pogledajte, molim vas! Izvor: YouTube "The Keepers" je dokumentarna serija o ubistvu opatice u malom američkom gradu. Emili Votson i Ben Čaplin, ljubav, opsesija, ubistvo. Osim uzbudljive jedanaeste epizode i jednog lepog ubistva, kao i korišćenja pesme "More Than This" Roxy Music tamo gde joj se najmanje nadamo, sve ostalo možemo zaboraviti. Samodovoljna do izbezumljenosti gledalaca. A nije. CELA LISTA: 1) Twin Peaks 2) The Leftovers 3) The Handmaids Tale 4) The Deuce 5) Halt and Catch Fire 6) Dark 7) Fargo 8) Feud 9) Stranger Things 10) Back 11) Big Little Lies 12) American Vandal 13) Godless 14) Brooklyn Nine Nine 15) Taboo 16) Pls Like 17) Billions 18) Will and Grace 19) Top of the Lake: China Girl 20) Narcos 21) Brockmire 22) I Love Dick 23) The Keepers 24) Comrade Detective 25) Ozark 26) Apple Tree Yard 27) Loudermilk 28) Room 104 29) Philip K. El asesinato es un acto imperdonable.
Nathan Leopold y Richard Loeb – IQs: 210 y 169

El Chapo Loses His ‘Public Enemy Number One’ Title
Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman has lost his title as Public Enemy Number One, which was bestowed upon him by the Chicago Crime Commission in 2013.
Actually, Guzman was the only person on the list for the past 87 years.
The Commission first coined and designated the title to Al Capone in 1930. Up until El Chapo came onto the scene, the Commission had yet to regard a criminal worthy of the same moniker.
“Not since the Chicago Crime Commission’s first Public Enemy Number One has any criminal deserved this title more than Guzman,” said J.R. Davis, chairman and president of the Chicago Crime Commission. “Compared to Guzman, Al Capone looks like an amateur.”
Really? Hard to believe in a town that knows a bit about organized crime and has a significant list of infamous criminals in it’s recent past.
Let’s look at a few—the “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski, domestic terrorist and target of one of the FBI’s costliest investigations; John Dillinger, depression-era gangster and bank robber who was notorious for getting away with his crimes and not harming those he robbed; and the horrible John Wayne Gacy, Chicago’s worst serial killer and convicted rapist of 33 teenage boys.
Then, there’s Chicago’s very own former governor Rod Blagojevich, fourth of the last seven Illinois governors to serve time behind bars.
Nevertheless, the Chicago Crime Commission had vowed it would keep El Chapo on their Public Enemy Number One list until he was safely in U.S. custody, which he is now.
“At the time of his escape in 2015, the Chicago Crime Commission was outraged that Chapo Guzman had been allowed to slip through the hands of Mexican authorities once again,” said Davis.
Chicago has been identified as a key recipient of El Chapo’s drug operation and as a trans-shipment hub for the cartel. The Sinaloa Cartel found willing business partners among the 100,000 street gang members in Chicago.
Drug enforcement experts conservatively estimated that annual revenues from El Chapo’s Sinaloa Cartel had exceeded $3 billion—more than those of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group.
Fortune Magazine rated the Sinaloa Cartel as the fifth largest organized crime group in the world. Now with the cartel’s leader in U.S. custody, one wonders if that dubious title will also be lost.
Speaking of organized crime and violence, President Trump has been busy on his personal Twitter account with a blast of threatening tweets warning that he’ll “send in the feds” unless Chicago fixes the “carnage” of its violent crime problem.
The hail of Trump tweets came after Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel commented that Trump should get over his fixation with the size of the audience at his inauguration.
